John Hinkle: Dragonfly was "providing" monthly service and our ponds did not pass inspections. They told us that the monthly "service" that they perform does not include items that help keep our ponds in compliance upon inspection. They told us they could do everything to needed to get our ponds in compliance and quoted a large fee to do so. The "To Do" list to get them into compliance was extensive since they had not been performing tasks to help the ponds pass. They wanted half the money up front and then did not perform the work they said they were going to do. Now they want the rest of their money for work not performed. I would NOT recommend this company.

After several years our association at Carolina Crossing in Little River was unhappy with other Pond companies that we had until we found Dragon Fly. In addition to his creativity, Bryan was also very patient in helping us go through the HOA approval process, which took 6 months. They worked very well with another company that was installing pavers and landscaping integrated with the waterfall and creek. Rajesh Manickam: We have a 10 year old fountain in front of our house with a fiberglass basin that had a small hole in it. The water level would drop rapidly after we had service performed on a monthly basis. Initially, we thought we just replace the basin, but Bryan had a better idea. He suggested that we get rid of the above ground fiberglass basin and create one underground. I was hesitant at first as I didn't quite understand what we would be getting into. But after several meetings with him, I began to see the clear advantages of doing this. My wife and I are much happier now with our underground basin as it will not be subject to cracks any longer. Also, all of the pumps are hidden and we do not have any algae or wildlife growing in our basin. Bryan also helped install an amazing auto refill system tied into our irrigation, so that a few gallons of water are automatically pumped into the underground basin and we don't have to worry about filling it up any longer. His ability to think outside the box really worked out in our favor. I've included a picture of our fountain from 10 years ago with the traditional above ground basin and a current picture showing the basin below ground (beneath the rock bed).If you ever need help with an outdoor fountain, I would highly recommend Just Pondering!
CRAIG WALLS: After a month of looking for someone to repair our leaking fountain (or even get a call back), I reached out to Bryan who stopped by the same week. Within 15 minutes he explained what was happening and offered us several solutions to fix the problem. After getting a quote that night, we confirmed which way we wanted to go, and he ordered the parts we needed. Once the parts came in, Bryan let us know and came out to fix the issue for good. Raym F: I was experiencing water loss in my Koi Pond and suspected a leak. After exchanging a few phone calls Bryan came out immediately to diagnose my leak problem. He was able to isolate it to an area of the waterfall but recommended that we test a temporary fix for a while to be sure. That test confirmed the leak location and he had his crew come out and repair the leak in one day. Not only did that fix the problem but they even improved the appearance of the waterfall. The team was prompt, knowledgeable and professional. I appreciate they were able to do the repair in a timely basis considering this is their busy time of year. I will definitely use them again for future care.
Duane Scaggs: If you want a natural looking water feature, Just Pondering is your answer. My wife and I presented a challenging landscape that was treacherous to garden and Just Pondering turned it into a safe and beautiful tiered garden with an unbelievable water feature that blends into the rest of our landscaping. They added gorgeous rock stairs on both sides of our side garden. Bryan’s installation team did an excellent job laying out the water feature and placing the rocks so they have a realistic natural appearance. Bryan accommodated several additions to the original design always coming up with ideal solutions. I have lost track of the number of neighbors and passer byes that have commented on how awesome our garden is.

Mike L: I have been wanting a pond for a while and contacted Just Pondering based on a the look of a pond they did for a neighbor. Job went extremely well. Steven, the supervisor/foreman was always on site. Bryan checked regularly and was extremely detailed orientated. He is also very creative with his ideas to enhance the features. They finished on time with great workmanship. I was thrilled and added fish. But here is the event that really raised the service bar. About a week after the job was completed, and whilst waiting for the electrician to come and bury the electrical cords, the garden service, despite being warned to stay away from the area, rode over the electrics. The mower chopped the electrics like spaghetti, and caused the pump and lights to blow. The next day was a weekend and I was leaving the country on vacation. So, no water flow for oxygen for the fish and a total mess. I called Bryan and he essentially said..."Go on vacation, I will take care of it". I returned two weeks later and arrived late evening. I was thrilled to see my pond working, night lights on, waterfall flowing and fish swimming. In summary, Just Pondering was efficient, creative, value for money with exceptional service levels.

Patrick Nguyen: We needed some Koi fish and stopped by hoping they would have some. There were full 5 bins of Koi from 5" to 25" for incredible low prices.We ended up buying a few large ones and a few smaller ones. Roger even delivered them to us and made sure the water was suitable for the Koi before he put them in our pond. He even stayed around for another 30 minutes to make sure the Koi were happy before he took off.We love this place and the service is amazing. I am going back to buy more Koi and accessories for our pond.
CHRISTOPHER PAPPAS: Triangle Pond Management expanded an existing pond to about 5000 gallons this past November. I could not have been happier with the results and should have left a review then. To use a quote that I heard in a video from a woman who had just seen her new pond, "I'm firing my therapist." I can't tell you how much time that I spend looking at the koi, frogs, birds, and other wildlife at my pond. The sound of the water is so soothing. With that said, I had a minor problem with the pond that I could not figure out. I called TPM and Roger was out the next day to fix it. All is good with my world now. Thanks for the great service.

He does the same thing every morning on his way to Raleigh coming through Fuquay. Not a good look for the company- you’re driving a rolling billboard!!

Glaeken Blizzard: For the past 2 1/2 months, I've been working with Triangle Pond Management (TPM) on creating a terrific bass pond out of a 1.75-acre pond that had some problems. I was blown off by an unresponsive pond & lake management company in Garner, so I wasn't certain exactly what the pond needed. On my first call to TPM, I spoke with Caleb, the fisheries manager. He let me fill him in on the pond, and once he'd learned everything, he sent me a proposal. Some of the things in the proposal I wanted to do myself and some things I wanted TPM to do, and he was fine with that. He didn't try to push any of their services on me, he let me ask numerous questions, and really let me learn all about the process of creating a bass pond. Finally, after weeks of preparing the pond, it was time for the fish stocking. But fish weren't readily available from the hatcheries, so Caleb went out of his way to secure thousands of fathead minnows and bluegill for me from a hatchery that wasn't local. The day of the fish stocking, the stocker, named Sam, finally arrived in the evening after a full day of stocking ponds, and he still had one to do after mine. Yet Sam didn't rush through the process, encouraged me to ask questions, and just had a terrific attitude. This is what I've experienced from the people at Triangle Pond---they take the tame to explain things, they don't push you to spend money, and they seem to enjoy what they do. My experience was really great and I can highly recommend them.

Verena Socolar: It started out all very positive when Colby came out last November and helped us envision how to transform our pool into a pond. He appeared knowledgeable and had good ideas. However, when it came time to start the project, there were several delays. One of his team members came out finally end of April and got half of the project done, and we were told that there were further delays because a crucial team member who was to do some welding work had left TPM. We were understanding and willing to wait. However, my attempts to get update and talk about alternative plans were not responded to in a timely manner. Again, Colby apologized when he eventually got back with explanations. We remained friendly and understanding. However, for the past five weeks attempts to get a response either via email or phone failed again. It is hard to work with someone who ghosts you!
Debbie Morrison: Update: Colby contacted me and apologized for not doing so sooner. The water feature is now fixed and running again. I know these are unusual times and can understand delays... just appreciate being told about them :)Original: Initially, I was very pleased. We have a pondless waterfall that had not been maintained in some time. I was looking for someone to restore it to an operational state and provide maintenance. Colby came out, took a look, and provided a plan for both the restoration and maintenance. We agreed with the plan. They got the waterfall running and said they would return in April for our first maintenance. Shortly, a leak was discovered. They said they would be back to fix the leak. But instead, they disappeared. They did not come back. Colby has not replied to my emails or text. They have not said anything more about coming back for the monthly maintenance.

I spoke to someone at the office twice and was told Colby would contact me for an appointment. A week later i have never received a call. Not very good customer service.
Will Hoyle: I enlarged my koi pond and put in a new liner, new filter and pump and uv light. We got what they call new pond syndrome. It would not cycle properly. We have lots of sun on it and had a major algae bloom. Big problems. I got a bottle of good bacteria from another company in Raleigh. It didn't work. I had pea green soup water. They sold me a pond bomb and my problems were gone in 2 days. Amazing product and service!

David Blackburn: We had Springer Ponds repair a leak on our water garden. Our water garden had 2 basins & streams connecting them. It had not had a good cleaning in over 15 years. It turned out to be a larger job than first thought - Springer pond stepped up and did what was needed to put it back in great shape. We first thought it was a 1 day job, but it needed much more than anticipated. They stuck with it until it was done . Crew was friendly & answered all our questions. They did a good job cleaning up after the ponds were done. We intend to have them do future mainenance. I would dfinitely recommend them

Sally Wilkinson: Based on a couple of $300+ water bills, I absolutely knew I had a leak somewhere in my pond or stream. I also knew finding the leak wouldn’t be easy. To help me, Springer Ponds attached a large flexible pipe to the pump and began to recycle the water upstream moving it a foot or so at a time. Each day or so I would check the pond's water level and if there was no change I would move the pipe further upstream. This procedure took time and patience, but Saundra explained that with me doing my own detective work I would save having to pay for many service calls. I appreciate Saundra taking the time to explain what needed to be done and how I could help solve my problem.
John M: I recently had Springer Ponds and Water Gardens install a 63-foot creek through my hilly backyard terrain. This was done in conjunction with a second contractor installing three patios. Not only did Springer do a FANTASTIC job but they also worked very well with other contractors. In fact, they collaborated with them in making the entire backyard design intertwined - even tying in a large rock into one of the patios. Saundra, the owner, was hands-on throughout the process. She has an artistry to her work and over exceeded my expectations (which we lofty to start). I was sold on her confidence that Springer would deliver a spectacular looking natural creek - and they did. In fact, the electrician that was installing some outlets for me after commented "I would have never known that this creek was just installed - it looks like it has always been here." The rocks, plantings (moss!) and eight LED lights all make it magical. I am usually pretty critical of contractors, but Springer EARNED their 5-star rating.

She came out to help me with my pump and other problems. She spent a lot of time trying to solve the problems that I am having until she finally found out what is wrong. It took a lot of determination and knowledge to figure out what's going on with my pond. I really appreciate Saundra's hard work to help me out. We now have a plan to correct the problems and get my pond and waterfall back to where I want them to be. She also moved plants and created better water flow on the waterfalls which dramatically improved the overall esthetics of the pond and a much better sound for my backyard zen. She also installed an automatic fill so I don't need to worry about the pond's water level when I'm away. I couldn't be happier with their work and the wonderful improvements they made!

Chad Belteau: I have never had to write such a negative review but I feel people should know what they are going to experience. I contracted Foster Lake and Pond to rehabilitate a pond that was in need of a dig out and cleanout due to years of cattle access before I owned the property. The mission was to 1) Dig the pond deep enough so that plants and grass would not grow in the middle of the pond. 2) Create a pond that is maintainable. I am sad to say that after 7 months it was easy to see that neither goal was met as shown in the pictures. These are pictures 7 months after the completed job. After speaking with Foster Lake and Pond I was told that " This is not uncommon for plants/weeds to grow in deep or shallow water" and " sediment along the one edge could be removed but would not be dire". I asked if they felt the work they did was satisfactory and they felt it was. To come back out they were going to charge me thousands to clean up the edges. I also added 15 grass carp to try and clean up the grass in the middle but it got progressively worse as the water level was in some places was less than a foot deep. The final outcome was a pond that has unsightly vegetation in the middle and edges that can't be mowed because it is swampy around the majority of the pond.I now have contracted a different grader to redo the pond. I have learned a lot as I see what the new person is doing. He dug a channel and was able to drain the pond completely dry. Foster Lake and Pond were scooping out water and mud the entire time so they really weren't getting much out. The current channel is far deeper than the base Foster Lake and Pond dug out. The new contractor will stand by his work and guarantees a beautiful pond with no vegetation in the middle. He explained the pond will be easily maintainable and not a problem to mow around. I got 6 quotes for redoing the "Foster Lake and Pond" work and all of the other graders were astonished by the condition of the pond and what I was left with.UPDATE TO RESPONSE BELOW: I didn't mention the second pond or the field in the review but yes they are problematic and I did agree to try the second pond. The review and the pictures are of the main pond and you had already written that you thought the work was satisfactory. When the pond was complete I did think it looked good but at that point it had no water in it. It wasn't until it filled back up that it was obvious the pond was not in good shape. It is easy to see looking at the perimeter of the main pond and the grass growing from the center that it is not a maintainable pond.

T R: After having chronic sink hole development around the riser in our dry retention pond on our property, we had Foster Lake and Pond come out to fix the problem. They completely excavated the drain pipe and re-packed soil around it and re-built the corner of our pond at a cost of over $2500. But two years later a new hole had developed in the same spot; they grudgingly came out and poured bentonite and clay, and did not charge us to do this as they "wanted to keep me satisfied". However, one year later, we once again have a sink hole formed, and now they refuse to answer emails or phone calls.

Jay Salezan heard the desperation in my voice and came out on short notice. He explained the problem and the process needed to repair the issue. He gave me options for repair and I will soon get an estimate to permanently fix the problem. I could have hugged this guy because we love our pond and want to keep it. Very friendly and professional. These are my new pond folks!
