Valley Love Farm: what do users think?
Dixie Sherman: I needed help with my yard and driveway desperately. I saw a couple of the yards Johnathan had worked on and they had turned out beautiful. When I asked for help, he was right there to listen to my needs and address them with my yard and driveway. The trust, passion for what he does and professional finish made it the best call, I could’ve made. I highly recommend considering getting the help you need with this one location.
Anne-Marie Hyatt: Amazing business! They not only tend to my lawn with all the things - aeration, seeding, mowing, edging - but also have wonder eggs!

Little Birdie Chicken Farm and Hatchery: what do users think?
Tami Atkinson: We've been going through Little Birdie Chicken Hatchery for the past 7 years. Best hatchery in NC. Highly recommend!
Natalie Hummel: We bought a mixed group of 12 chicks a couple of years ago. They are such healthy girls!!! They give us joy, entertainment and abundance of eggs! I would very much recommend this hatchery as a place to buy your first flock or add to you flock.
Tom Phelan: This seems to be a very caring operation, which makes me feel very confident that the chicks we purchased will thrive.
Rocky Ferguson: The chickens where good but very unfriendly experience. Could not interact with the chicks or pick the ones you wanted you could only pick the breed. Was expecting more you will be just as well off having them shipped to your home .
Bethany Donovan: We had a wonderful experience with Ann getting our first backyard flock. The website was easy to use and up to date with the chick availability. Our initial appointment had to be moved due to circumstances not under our control and Ann was prompt in communicating with us.When we picked up our chicks she was so sweet to my son who was so excited for his new baby chickens and answered his questions. We appreciated that so much!I love that she sells North Carolina feed/bedding as well. Thanks for everything!
HJ H: We have had the best experience at Little Birdie. We’ve gotten all of our chicks here and they are now healthy and happy hens! Their feed is wonderful too and we’ve noticed we get more eggs with it! Thank you, Anne!
Mesha Cayruth: The owner Ann was very friendly and informative. It was a pleasure meeting her. My friend bought her chicks from her and raves about her services.
Big: Great place to go buy your chickens.
Beth Herman: Our family is so thankful for Little Birdie Hatchery! We recently took the plunge and got a small flock of chicks from LBH. The chicks are healthy and happy, and we hope to go back for more chicks in the future when we're ready to expand our flock. There are so many great breeds to choose from, and we appreciate being able to get them locally instead of by mail order. Highly recommend Little Birdie Hatchery!
Cari Sch: We met Ann over a year ago from a friend that referred her to us...when we started our chicken addiction. We love how professional and carrying she is. She is also knowledgeable, kind, and patient always answering our questions and concerns. She sells quality healthy chickens. I often go to get food (best quality feed!!!) and to keep growing my flock. I'm super happy on how she follows the needed protocols, not only to keep her chicks and chickens safe, but also mine (her customer) so thank you thank you thank you! Anyone that says otherwise do not know you...but those that do absolutely appreciate all you do. Us chicken lovers know it has not been easy with the current bird flu, but you have made it positive for those that love our fluffy flocks to keep them happy and healthy. Please keep up the good work! I will continue to refer you to all of my friends and anyone else I meet 😊👍🏼🐣
John Matthews: My wife and I had an appointment to pick out a few chicks to add to our flock, and my expectations were quite high based on the Google reviews. All I can say is the experience was weird at best. The owner was probably the least welcoming small business owner I’ve ever met. My wife had a few questions about different breeds, and the owner made it quite clear she had no interest in helping us or answering our questions. It felt almost as if she was being snobby but in a really odd way. The whole situation was just uncomfortable, and we ended up leaving and going elsewhere.
Peter Mueller: Super nice folks, great and diverse stock of chickens, all guaranteed to be hens or they'll take the rooster back - except the Silkies as those can't be confirmed as hens until they are much older. Grab a Salmon Faferal if you want a furry chicken. We've gotten all our chicks and feed from here and are flush with eggs.
Paul Lueth: This place is amazing! They have every kind of chick you can think of. We had a very pleasant experience dealing with her. Fair prices and the chicks were very healthy.
Rick Hadsall: This is a top notch hatchery that offers dozens of different breeds of chicken. There's always a lot to choose from - check the website for the hatching schedule. Service is excellent. They offer some supplies to help you if you need it as well.
Julie Solecki: Ann is extremely helpful!
Elizabeth G: They do not return phone calls.
Morgan S: Beautiful chickens! I bought 5 chicks last May. They all reached adulthood with no health issues. All very friendly chicks that meet breed standards, except the "ameraucana". I bought a black ameraucana and she finally laid her first egg... That isn't blue. I had my doubts when she developed some speckling, but I was still hopeful she'd lay blue, but instead I got green. Should have just went with the cheaper easter Eggers for sale. Other than that, I'm very pleased with what I got!
Karly Ryan: Very nice hatchery, impressive.
Sam Catron: Just bought our second backyard flock from here and will do it again when we need new ones! Ann and her family are so knowledgeable and very helpful if you have questions. She was patient and kind to our kids asking questions and seemed genuinely excited to help us. Such a great small business!
Skakub: Pure joy to buy chicks from a local enthusiast who loves her work! And a home-made chicken feed. Want to start your adventure with raising chickens- you found your place.
MyCjmiller: Nice people and great little chicks to add to our flock.

Jireh Family Farm, LLC: what do users think?
Ashley Odvody: This place is amazing. I trust them with my kids. The Jarvis's are brilliant, down to earth, and innovative. Their food is fabulous too. It's an experience to come here!
Jenifer Edwards: This August 2022 attended a Farm to Table dinner that was fabulous and the food was incredibly delicious! I love that the seating area was in front of the home, which made the atmosphere feel so inviting. The wine tasting connoisseur brought some food matching wines that were great and did an incredible job. After, shopped at the store and got some eggs and the "Tina's Blend" tea, which you got to taste! Had a wonderful time!
Rachel Porter: I love how you can pay in venmo or cashapp or cash for the eggs. Packaging is very clear and helpful for all the meats in their farm store. I love their tea bags too.
Bev B: I recently attended the medicinal tea class and it was educational and also a lot of fun. I enjoyed the entire experience, especially making tea from fresh herbs from the container garden. Valerie is very knowledgeable and a great teacher. I can't wait to take another class. Hoping there will be a container gardening class!
Lena V.: This farm is my new supermarket for meat and eggs. The owners are lovely and the beef and eggs are delicious. They also offer wonderful and much needed services. Check out the website!
Bob Stanson: Would like to keep Jireh farm as the best kept secret, but that would be selfish on my part. Family is more then helpful, and the meat is outstanding. You have to experience the farm yourself and take it all in. Needless to say I'm a life long customer.
Roni Nicole: If I could give Jireh Family Farms 10 stars 🌟? I ABSOLUTELY would. I took their Backyard Chicken Course 101 in March and I learned so much in a short amount of time. It was extremely informative, easy to understand, and they were so patient with answering questions. The course includes a full tour of their coop and they are very forthcoming with sharing information about how to best raise and care for your chickens. They have a beautiful flock and the eggs (HIGHLY recommend) are some of the best farm fresh eggs I've ever had.I also purchased spicy sausage and its EXCELLENT. I like spice so it isn't spicy spicy to me personally but delicious nonetheless. 😋 I've used it for breakfast, breakfast sandwiches and in spaghetti, it's fantastic and very fresh tasting.A few weeks after the course I purchased my own chicks! I've had them for a few weeks now and had to call for advice on a few occasions. Emmanuel was so kind and helpful (I was freaking out a bit worrying about my girls😖) with the advice on my coop and their health! My girls (JennieMae, ShirlAnn, Penelope Rose and Periwinkle Marie ) are all doing really great thanks to their class and their advice!! It's been really gratifying raising my girls and watching them grow and I can't wait to go back for their next crop of classes!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10 stars!!! 💪🏾😍
Tom Szymborski: The Jireh Family Farm was a good find. Immanuel was very nice and explain how they raise their animals. I tried some of his Hamburger, and it had a much more flavor than the grocery store brand. I went back and purchased 4 more packsI cannot wait to try their sausage and eggs.
Clifton Baker: For the past 5 years I've made a habit to get my eggs fresh from the coop to my table!! My main source gave their chickens away and relocated!!! HOWEVER I found Jireh Family Farm and discovered that they are a few minutes from my home!!! Not only fresh eggs but fresh ground sausage, chickens and angus beef!!! THEY WILL BE SEEING ME AGAIN VERY SOON!!! I'm ready for spring time!!!!🌻🌼☘🥕🌶🥒 🥦🍄
Romeka Young: I had a BEAUTIFUL experience doing business with this family
Misha Krul: Jireh Family Farm is a small local farm with humble roots and a humane approach to raising and culling livestock. I purchased two whole chickens and 18 eggs from the farm earlier this month. I got to speak with Immanuel (one of the owners of the farm) personally when I stopped by to pick up my order. He is so passionate about the work that he does, and told me all about the farm and the animals that they keep, and how they are raised and processed. The eggs were far better than any store-bought, factory farmed eggs I'd ever eaten. They are large with a bright and nutritious orange-yellow yolk, not pale yellow like mass-produced factory farmed eggs. This was also my first taste of pasture-raised chicken, and I was very impressed at the quality and flavor of the meat. If you are looking to put your money where it will make a difference, support a local business, and enjoy the product of ethical and sustainable farming, I strongly recommend Jireh Family Farm!
Lowell G: What a small gem in the middle of Durham.Great, friendly and wonderful products.Highly recommend.
Claggion House: Felt just like I was home. Great family great experience
Myra Henriquez: Amazing place and service is Excellent. Keep up the amazing work.
Jeff Castina: We have purchased pork in bulk from them a few times and have had great experiences and really enjoyed the fresh, local meat. Especially love the bacon and sausages! Highly recommend them and their products.
Katie Walters: This farm is a real gem and the owners are so nice and helpful! I purchased three young hens and they have already started laying. These hens are so sweet that I decided to go back and get two more to add to the flock. All five are doing great; I’m so happy to have found Jireh Family Farms!
Michael Weddington: We have been extremely happy with our experiences(2 so far) at Jireh family farm! The family is so kind, knowledgeable, and patient in sharing their excitement for fresh, delicious, and fun livestock, eggs, pork, and chicken. We purchased two chickens to raise, two fresh chickens to cook and two rabbits for our entertainment and enjoyment. We also purchased 2 pounds of spicy sausage that is absolutely the best we’ve ever had! We highly recommend their farm and suggest you visit for yourself! Enjoy and keep sharing special places like this with each other.
Geri Aceituno de Salguero: I loved the chickens! The first one I made chicken soup and it was great! The second one I roasted... the meat was a bit chewy but still very moist and flavorful! Plump nice clean meat!Super Delicious! Thanks again!
David Foell: Excellent place to get local eggs, beef, chicken, pork etc. Owners are very friendly and make it easy to buy from them. I trust that their products are safe and wholesome and the prices--especially for eggs--are great! I have purchased grassfed beef (which is delish) and free range eggs so far with plans to try more!
Lisa DeGroat: Finally found great-tasting beef at Jireh's. The best we've had in a long time!
jane kyper: So thrilled to have found the farm! Fresh eggs are the best. However their sausage is incredible and we eat it as often as we can. My husband has always liked sausage and I found it ok but now we both crave the stuff -- you have customers for life! Thank you
