Etheridge Psychology, P.A.: what do users think?
Crystal Tate: Dr. Roy is very honest and user friendly. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. This is the best appointment I have attended in a while. Thank you team.
Daniel Dix: In hindsight, I regret not having looked at the reviews for Etheridge before my visit. I was referred to this practice for a specialized assessment, but unfortunately, the process was prolonged by weeks and months due to Dr. Roy Etheridge's schedule. During the assessment, I found Dr. Etheridge's approach to questioning and his final assessment lacking in professional demeanor. Upon consulting with two additional psychologists, they agreed that the assessment lacked evidential support and was written in an unprofessional manner. Furthermore, I discovered that Dr. Etheridge had failed to contact the referring party, a crucial step that should have been taken. Thoroughly unimpressed with this group.
S A A Legacy Prints & Paper: FYI:They do not take anything but blue cross for evaluations. Misleading information on site for everyone
Fire Side Confessions: They asked me my insurance information 10x and what type of psychological help I needed 0x, if that helps you make a decision about this place, you're welcome, hopefully you won't waste your time
Hannah Daulton: Etheridge Psychology treats their patients, colleagues, and clinicians with professionalism, kindness, and support. As a past employee, I highly recommend their practice and refer to them regularly.
Laura Shank: I have been seeing Dr Roy over 6 years now, could not recommend this practice more. When I had trouble with my insurance they worked with me to figure it out. When I was hospitalized for my mental illness, Dr Roy worked with the hospital, and also called to check on me.
Karen Taggart: I highly recommend you look elsewhere. I was unimpressed with all aspects of their services.
Adrian Park: Had my initial evaluation with them and they had the "perfect" person for me who happened to be their most junior member. Two sessions later and the junior staff member decides she doesn't have enough experience to treat me and recommends another practice. Waste of time.
Jeremy Lea: Overall they were okay in regards to the evaluation and feedback process. The big issue I have is afterwards I asked follow up questions and was promised some additional information (referrals, tips on how to use info from the evaluation) and got nothing. So now I feel more confused that I did before the process started. I paid out of pocket, so I almost wonder if that’s why I suddenly wasn’t worth more consistent communication.
Michelle Martin: I highly recommend this practice! I have been going there for quite sometime and the therapy is wonderful, everyone is very nice and upbeat and they are so professional! Dr MaryAnne Etheridge has helped me so much!
Bena Steffann: I contacted Etheridge on 9/9 to talk about an eval. “Step 1” was the next day 9/10. In a short period of time I had to fill out a lot of personal information regarding a minor, I also had to pay $40 (despite the fact my deductible had been met in 2/20), & then the next morning even more paperwork was required as I had two virtual learners in session and a toddler in hand. On 9/9 I was told my insurance would cover services ( my insurance company is listed as one of the few that they accept on their website). Then I was told by someone in the office the next morning 9/10, ONE hour prior to my parental intake appointment, that additional paperwork was required and that deductible starts over in 9/20 (so hasn’t been met - what?) Upon calling my insurance company that I have had for 8 years, I was told that indeed Etheridge was incorrect, and that my deductible was met in early 2020 and wouldn’t start over until 1/2) to date, I have yet to receive a reimbursement for the $40 - which isn’t the biggest problem. Upon speaking with the insurance person @ Etheridge and her telling me my insurance co. denied all diagnostic codes, I reached out on a 3-way call to my insurance company. Because after question Etheridge’s need to submit diagnostic codes without a diagnosis, she became very defensive. I was then told by my insurance company that Etheridge had provided them with EIGHT diagnostic codes when there hadn’t even an appointment with my child to obtain a diagnosis! In fact, the first Telehealth appointment (9/10) was just a parental intake (which never ended up occurring by Dr. Meares choice. Yet they ushered out codes to my insurance company so that they could begin billIng. Being that I hadn’t had an initial Parental intake conversation via Telehealth, how would it even be appropriate to to bill my insurance company for services not rendered. My insurance company agreed & the insurance person from Etheridge abruptly and rudely left the call. Assured by my insurance company that I handled myself completely appropriately, 30 minutes later I was called & accused by Dr. Meares of calling ‘Cass‘ (their insurance person) a “liar.” I assured her nothing of the sort happened, and my inswas privy to the entire portion of the conversation with Cass, until Cass abruptly hung up on us after Aetna informed her that she couldn’t use those EIGHT codes & would have to give them one that was related to initial parental intake call. All this being said, I have release to them multiple personal forms about my minor child. Because I was in my right (as prayer) to question their coding, I was given a defensive, rude attitude and horrible sendoff. My guess is that’s because (according to Aetna’s records), Cassandra @ Etheridge provided a laundry list of diagnostic codes when there was NOT a single diagnosis given! Dr. Meares hadn’t even completed the intake conversation with parent (step 1 9/10) to get more information about the child and to se rid proceeding with us or us with them was even necessary - but go give an insurance 8 diagnostic codes. To have a doctor hang up on (Dr. Meares) on me when having an equal participant, civil conversation that was not heated (even after she told me that Cass accused me of being a liar) really speaks volumes about their practice. It’s disheartening when a parent looks to a doctor for potential care of his/her child and as a result of Doctor’s office lack of overall humility and ownership of their internal mishandling of reporting DIAGNOSTIC codes to my insurance company sans an actual EVALUATION and DIAGNOSIS, things were turned on the me. What a horrible accusation, by a doctor of medicine, falsely claiming I called a liar. I was about to trust her with care for my childCall your insurance co & double-check the codes they have submitted, otherwise you will (potentially) be billed for services not rendered when a doctor diagnosis was never given.I never leave public reviews, this one is necessary bc @ the end it was a child who lost out because their parent did her due-diligence.
Tyler Smith: Could've told me my diagnosis within 5 min but instead charged me over $500 dollars and wasted a lot of my time. Didn't help at all, wouldn't recommend.
Brenda Johnson: They helped me through a very difficult time in my life. I was uneasy about seeing a counselor but she put me at ease and it was very helpful. Everyone at Etheridge psychology was kind and professional.
Tyrone Hightower: The evaluator was great! The therapist was a little weird and I don't think that the therapy helped at all, even though my daughter is at her 7th session.
Dustin R: Very professional! I had the privilege of speaking with Dr. Roy Etheridge and would recommend him to anyone
Vinay Saranga: I had the pleasure of meeting Drs. Roy and Mary Anne Etheridge last year, and they are a very warm and friendly couple. I have been happy to refer my clients to their practice, because I know that my clients will receive thorough and thoughtful care from them.

Wynns Family Psychology—Cary NC: what do users think?
Jennifer Cobb: Professional, caring, and I knew she had my family's best interest at heart. Highly recommend!
Jessica Garris: I am on the 4th chapter of Dr. Wynns book, “The No Wimpy Parenting Handbook”, and my child washed and conditioned and brushed her hair tonight without any crying or melt down for the first time EVER! We’ve also dropped form 10 tantrums a day to 1 today. I could cry. I’ve enjoyed my kids the most I probably ever have today. AND we went out in public with no meltdowns! It’s been amazing! Dr. Wynns definitely has a way of understanding children and their behaviors and helping us struggling parents learn and thrive in unison with our kids! THANK YOU Dr. Wynns!
9o Fish: I didn’t get any further than the lady answering the phone as she was so rude and unprofessional. As I was answering her questions about my son’s mental health history I could just hear her having another conversation with someone else. She couldn’t answer my general financial or insurance related questions or find me an appointment to fit in with our schedule. After encouraging her to look at another office’s availability she did find an appointment but I’d lost all confidence with this office at that point.
Joe The Great: After reading some other reviews, you might think she is better at dealing with children than dealing with adults. Oh boy, you're really wrong. PLEASE don't send your children their if you treasure their happiness. The owner is horrible, greedy, and a mess of a human. If you want your children crying when they leave the office, be my guest. Not to mention that her employees are unscrupulous losers. One of them, in an important situation where we needed feedback urgently, decided to TAKE A THREE DAY VACATION on a Monday-Wednesday that is MOST CERTAINLY not a holiday vacation. I don't even know what he was doing, maybe heading to Vegas with his obscene payment requirements? Severe amounts of malpractice committed here. Lastly, here's one for you personally, Dr. Wynns. My child absolutely despises you for the years of emotional torture you put him through.
Jayne Taylor: I enjoy talking to dr sara salter my therapist she is very kind and someone I can trust she cares about me and wants to help me get better. So thank you so much dr salter
Beth Wiley Breeden: I have been impressed with Wynns Family Psychology providers, including Dr. Wynns and Dr. Thomas. I have found both to be knowledgeable therapists who truly care about their work and about doing their best to care for their clients.
Welfare Haskin: Excellent office! 6/5 if I could
Theresa Ballinger: My family had an excellent experience with Wynns Family Psychology! The clinicians provide excellent care and council. We have been to both the Cary and the Raleigh locations and both went well. Highly recommended!
Fraz Zach: Dr.Wynns should not be in practice! She's an absolute mess of a human. After about 2 years stuck with her, we finally decided to get another provider through UNC.The judge dismissed her in court due to her unprofessional actions. This office is a waste of money. She will change things just so she can go on vacation with her family regardless of the urgency of your case. She's not committed to her job!!Notice her website ONLY should we good reviews. She's VERY dishonest!
Jennifer Bush: Both of my kids go here for counseling. They love their counselors and have shown a noticeable improvement in their overall well being.
Arjuna Weerasinha: Great experience. Recommended for kids...I have worked with Kaitlin Hanson and she is highly recommended.
Diana: Truly disappointing experience with Wynns. I had heard good things and had high hopes so I went in full force with buying the book, getting parenting counseling, 10 months of almost weekly sessions for me daughter, and 12 weeks of weekly DBT group therapy with no improvements. I spoke multiple times to my daughters therapist about the lack of progress but there was no change in support or improved outcomes. Tons of time, gas, stress, and money wasted.
Karen Glade: Not impressed. Counselor allowed 15 year old to manipulate her and she didn't call parents in when she should have. Very frustrating experience.
Lauren Stepantschenko: The atmosphere is good, and the practice recently went through some remodeling.Overall the practice seems to be dis-organized and not communicate very well. Appointments have been mixed up between N. Raleigh and Cary Offices, seems like the reception staff keeps changing, and they aren't always sure of what amount is owed. I had 2 rounds of testing done over the last 8 months, and the psychologist quite a long time to complete, not all the forms were given up front, and often emails went un-answered for several days to over a week. The second round of testing was a little faster since I knew what to expect and was able to push it along myself. Once testing was completed, they said they couldn't release the results until I paid the balance (understandable), but nobody once mentioned what that balance was or that they needed a payment. We've had success with Abby K for weekly sessions, and the location is convenient. However I'm not particularly impressed with the practice as a whole, and think that for the amount of money that is being charged, we should be able to expect more.
Kerri Burns: I have had a great experience with Wynn's and have appreciated the professionalism Dr. Warren has shown!
Gina Cockrell: I went to Wynn's Family Psychology to have a Court Ordered Psychological Evaluation. I found the office staff to be very polite, extremely professional. Dr. Thomas performed my eval. and I appreciated her professionalism and thoroughness. I think the perception of the psychological eval. process can be intimidating depending on what you're having it for or the ambiguity of the outcome. In my opinion, Dr. Thomas was very objective and made the process as painless as possible. They aren't the least expensive in town, but with them, I think you get what you pay for. Especially, if you need an unbiased and strict professional protocol.
Lynne Beaman: We've had our children attending Wynn's Family psychology for a complicated situation and have been very pleased with the attentive care we've gotten there. We've seen several doctors in the practice - Dr. Celeste Simmons, Dr. Sarah Salter, Lauren (who was one of the interns), Kalie Moore and Dr. Sarah Rainer. Each of the children found a doctor/therapist that they could relate well to and are making good progress in therapy. One of our children also completed the DBT program with Dr. Salter and Lauren. It only took about 2 sessions to begin to see the behavior change. The child was more confident and in control of the emotions following this valuable group therapy. I was pleased that DBT was moderated unlike some other free/"open share" programs. This way children can be guided to good answers versus feeding off each others' anxieties and bad outlets. I also appreciated how Wynns worked with us to control the costs of therapy by connecting us with Lauren/intern during an expensive period in our therapy. Lauren did an excellent job and had insight that left me pleasantly surprised. Lauren also did a very professional job transitioning us to a new regular therapist, Kalie Moore (also excellent), when she needed to return to school. (These were concerns that I'd had about using an intern, but she exceeded expectations at every turn.) Dr. Celeste Simmons was a great fit also - wise, experienced, direct but gentle with her delivery. Dr. Rainer is new to us, but I can already tell it'll be a good fit too. I appreciate how, as a Christian person, that faith can be incorporated into therapy when it's beneficial to the family. Keep up the great work, team!
Courtney Cantrell: I had both of my children assessed/tested at Wynns because the teachers were concerned with their attention and speed of responding in class. Dr. Salter did an excellent job with the assessment--it was incredibly thorough and didn't "overdiagnose" ADHD, as seems to be the case other places. The report was impressive, detailed, and offered great recommendations. With those recommendations in place both kids are happier and much much more successful in school. One of my kids attended the 6-week social skills group and that made all the difference in the world for her! Her teachers have said she's "a different child" now--willing to speak up in class, starts conversations with other kids where she used to be too shy to interact. THey are really a high quality practice, both in assessment and in their evidence-based treatment. As a psychologist (not in practice, didn't know these psychologists before now), I am really impressed with their quality and would recommend them to anyone!
John Lam: I took my daughter for early school entry test at Wynns Family Psychology. She scored 90 out of 100. However, it is not good enough because Dr. Sarah said my daughter needs to have at least 98. According to Dr. Sarah, the test is second grade level test required by Wake County standard. This is the early entry test for Kindergarten not for second grade early entry. I found the feedback from my child is very unclear and conflict since she didn't show us the real test s but only an evaluation based on her observation. I paid almost 700 dollars for the test and am not impressed with the service. The doctors here only go after the money and are not interest in helping in evaluation your children. So my advise to you all is do not, do not bring your child here for evaluation, waste of time and money. Oh year, the doctor is asking for 200 dollars more beside the 700 if I only to find out the result early, usually the result comes out three weeks later after the test. But if I have paid 200 dollars more then I can find the result within a week. Like I said, this place is after the money, money, money, not really interesting in evaluation your child. So please look to other places for testing, do not take your child here.

Cary Family Psychology: what do users think?
sheldon long: The previous reviewer that slammed Dr. K appears to be a drug seeker. There is a responsibility for the patient to research their care provider PRIOR to making an appointment. Would you see a gynecologist for foot pain? No.Why would mental health be any different? I took a family member to see Dr. K some years ago and we had good results. Why? His skill set matched our problem. Yea, I researched first.

Krippa Family Psychological & Wellness Services: what do users think?
Holly Whistler: FULL TRANSPARENCY. You have to pay out of pocket ($1500 deposit then services) and then they give you a superbill to submit for reimbursement with your insurance, no matter if you have out of network coverage. Makes sense with this program being in Cary where the rich folks are. I just don't want anyone to waste their time with them without knowing this.
Essence Mason: 5 stars isn’t enough. We were having some issues and decided to come here, My daughter is currently seeing Bryanna and she is GREAT!!! My daughter loves her and always look forward to seeing her each week. I’ve also notice that my daughter is using what Bryanna has taught her.Very clean office.1000000/10 recommend.
Xochitl: Very nice
John C: Kristin has been an advocate of children and families. She believes in a compassionate and holistic approach to help families heal.
Laura Combs: Kristin krippa is an incredible therapist with an ability to quickly establish a great rapport with her young clients and create a safe space for them. Her holistic approach is critical to finding solutions and our family will always be grateful.

Dr. Susan B. Alexander, Ph.D.: what do users think?
Megan Martinez: De. Alexander tested me for ADHD. She was very professional and friendly. After she diagnosed me my grades went from C’s&D’s to and A’s&B’s. I’m thankful for her services, it has made a huge difference in my education career.
Julia: Dr Alexander is quite professional, intelligent, and truly takes the time to listen. I'm so glad to have met her. From my experience with multiple therapists, i think experience is absolutely critical to being a good one. She has accumulated so much wisdom that schooling alone simply cannot teach.
Sherry Sliwa: She sent me a letter saying that she was going to charge me for a missed appointment for my child that I never scheduled with her in the first place. We had a conversation about the future appointments and I told her that I could not set any definite appointments because our summer schedule was really busy and that my child would not be able to see her during the school year due to the school's daily schedule. She claims I made an appointment in July that I did not make. She sent me the letter which we didn't get until July 24, and then she charged our credit card for the missed appointment that day without our permission. I will never take my child to see her again, and I will never recommend her to anyone. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there to help you and your family besides her.
Nick Covey: My discussions with Susan Alexander were extremely productive. She is a great communicator, straightforward and direct.
Susan Fote: Dr Susan Alexander, PHD is unethical, untrustworthy and engages in predatory billing practices. Dr. Alexander’s behavior and actions is driven by a philosophy of maximizing billable hours, at the expense of her patents wellbeing. Being a son of a physician, plus years of client-doctor relationships (family of 4, 3 bouts with cancer, etc) across three states, I have to say Dr. Alexander is worst physician I have ever dealt with. Dr. Alexander’s dishonestly, manipulative actions and lack of integrity shows a level of distain for any patient who tries to hold her accountable.I have files a complaint with the NC State Phycology Board. My recommendation is to avoid Dr Alexander at all cost, go with a psychologist who actually cares.
Laura Taillon: No apologies for being late multiple times. Often on phone. I would consider her counseling worse than unhelpful. Her guidance ended up being hurtful.
