Not only was a check cut but they failed to inform us our dispersement was available for pick-up.3) After a voicemail over the weekend and an attempt to contact the office during listed business hours, I failed to receive an answer or return call.4) I was charged $500 for an encorachment letter, which typically runs $150 at other attorney offices.One issue is understandable.Multiple issues during closing without communication is unacceptable.

The333Theory: Very unprofessional company. Each time I've called regarding closings or contracts thru JR Law which are currently still being held up They never return phone calls. They act like I'm bothering them when i do have to call, just very rude and a lack of professionalism all around. Trust me I'm just as bothered to have to keep reaching out to get anything done i assure you but i still carry myself professionally.. I would not recommend this firm for anything but let downs and disappointments you will have to babysit them and stay on them to get anything accomplished. Im around 10 months in if not more. They owe me Escrow money as well which has never showed up in any form of payment. I would not recommend this firm to anyone. Once our business finishes up it'll be the last time i do business with them promise you that.

She called after hours (which was totally unnecessary but I appreciated the gesture!) to answer a question I had inquired about a few days ago. She was genuinely apologetic for my message to the firm falling through the cracks and spent a half hour very honestly and encouragingly walking me through a situation with which I was unfamiliar. She gave outstanding advice, very reasonable rates, and a generous timeline for turnaround! I just loved her personality and how she put me at ease. I'd highly recommend Debra as anyone's paralegal. Morris: Very disappointed experience with JR Law on handling the Selling of an Estate. I used them as the Selling Firm thinking it was easier since Coldwell Realty Buying agent used them. On April 26th I provided Estate Documents for proper Title Handling, then 1month later May 24th a crisis ensued because they had problems and needed Estate documents from my Estate attorney. In 2 days tons of emails with a hand full of people copied, everyone working remote and would not talk/call .. Settlement Statement had an error on an HOA expense which was prepaid and not agreed to, they refused to work with me (even though I hired them to represent me and I paid $750 !!) because they needed to send out the Settlement Statement on 5/26. Terrible communication, email ping pong with no results, my estate attorney was ignored and then on top of it the wire transfer did not go thru because them messed up the wiring numbers. The gentleman we handed the wiring instructions did not transfer the information properly to whoever handles wire transfers... it was the Keystone Cops at best!! Terrible experience and we are still trying the get a refund on the prepaid HOA expense which they said I'd get refunded at closing on 6/1 but now have to chase down the HOA. Stay away from them..... worse experience ever!

George Deeb: I had a pretty bad experience with Carolina FEP, despite all their positive reviews online. I learned Jackie Bedard was a respected attorney through a media award, but was told she was not taking new clients, which was disappointing. Then felt less comfortable with junior lawyer they suggested in her place, as she had no bio information on their website and no reviews of that specific individual. I asked for a different junior lawyer with better credentials, but couldn't get in her schedule very quickly, especially for an in-person meeting (as they preferred virtual online meeting, which felt like a strange venue for such an important project like this). In order to secure appointment three months out, required $1,500 deposit, sitting on our funds during that time. When we finally met with her, she was nice and capable, but was not very flexible when we inquired if we could deviate from her suggestions. They have a process they like to follow, and if you deviate from that process, it appears to upset them. But, that didn't stop them from collecting $7,500 additional funds at the time of that meeting to start the documents creation. Which felt expensive for the "templated forms" we were getting, and didn't like the fact it was entirely prepaid--I would have expected something like half now and half upon completion, as other lawyers would typically do, which they were unwilling to do. Then a couple days later, after we thought we were all good with the start of the project, they decided to cancel the engagement on us, even though we had shared all our personal account information with them by that point (which did not feel good). And when asked for a detailed explanation as to why they cancelled, beyond the form letter they sent, they did not provide one or call me back (which felt amateurish). They refunded our monies and said they shredded our file (after my request), but why have us sign a contract, collect personal account info and collect money in one meeting, if you are going to cancel on us a couple days later. That left us back to square one, having to find another lawyer, months after we started this process. The whole experience left a very bad taste in our mouth. I am sure if you are "cookie cutter", inexperienced client with limited needs, they will do fine for you. But, if you are looking for them to get "creative and personalized" for your exact needs, I would suggest looking elsewhere. I am beyond disappointed here, especially given all the good reviews here. Hope you have better luck than we did.
