Sanjay Singareddy: I had been visiting the Sri Venkateshwara Swamy temple in Cary almost every week for past 9+ years.3 years ago I gave the temple a 5 star rating, today I changed it to a 1 star rating. For the past 1 year my temple visits have become more and more unpleasant for the following reasons:1. There is no Serene atmosphere any more as groups of people keep singing bhajans and songs with total disregard to other devotees’ privacy and space. I go to temple to pray in quietude. Silence in temple would greatly help.2. Far too many events and activities are going on in the temple which gives a feeling that you are in a fair (Santa in Telugu and Mela in Hindi). It also had made it hard to find a proper parking spot as most of the additional parking area is located on grass and dirt with a dirt road leading to those areas, devotees use the same road to walk to temple after they park their vehicles. This is causing chaos as vehicles and pedestrians are sharing the same road.3. Failing management and rude staff. During the temple hours it is unacceptable that Sri Venkateshwara Swamy darshan times are limited. When you are in line for darshan and reach the inner sanctuary in front of the Swamy and about to pray and do namaskar, in a couple of seconds you will hear loud voices continuously saying “ Keep moving”, “Keep moving”. This can test your patience and and test your control over your feeling of anger when some volunteer is yelling for you to move even though you are moving quickly, I go to temple to pray, and not come out from there with an angry mood.All of the above will not prevent me from going to the temple, I will find a time either early or late in the day when it is less chaotic.This temple was built from donations by devotees and every devotee has the right to question the way things are run by the temple management.

Lindsey Gregg-Kearns: Wonderfully inclusive, all are welcome in this church! A progressive family of faith that includes young and old, gay and straight, people of all races and backgrounds. The church does wonderful ministry in the Cary and surrounding areas, including Dorcas Ministry, Habitat for Humanity, Carying Place, and refugee resettlement.

Shannon Smith-Stewart: This church is a place of love, kindness, support and bible teaching. I am so glad I call Pleasant Grove my church home.

Stewart Hodges: Would not recommend if you are looking for a Church and I would recommend leaving if you attend here. There are so many options and I would pass on this one. I grew up in this Church and my Father and his Father were members. The current leadership is far from responsive to members. I once led a Bible class here, but sadly the Church is not the same Church it once was. I am glad I left and took my family to a Church that follows the Bible.

As newcomers to Cary we were anxious to find our new church. It was extremely disappointing to attend a church that was so unfriendly & unwelcoming.

Why can’t we all just be adults and fix issues instead of beating around the bush? Can I at least be treated like a human being?

Prof Arun C. Mehta: First United Methodist Church is located at 117 S Academy St, Cary, NC 27511. We visited United Methodist Church on Saturday afternoon but it was closed and not open to public. Could see the holey place from the outside only. Just opposite is located another beautiful First Baptist Church. Its location is prime and it is situated near Downtown Park, Cary Community Library and Cary Arts Center. United Methodist Church is beautifully constructed, its design is awesome and attractive. It look small but get attention of everyone passing through Care Down Town. May God bless this beautiful Church.

There are several welcoming people and nice congregation.Cons:But the entire worship is lacking the essence of God. The songs are not revival but sluggish and the congregation barely open their mouths to sing songs.Above all they (may be pastor and seniors of church) are very much leaning towards supporting LGB.. community and it is strictly against biblical principles.They donated $20k to an LGB org of Raleigh NC, and I don't have any clue why the pastor has such vision to support the LGB activities.As a believer, we should always accept the sinners (as Jesus did) but not their sins (Being L,G,B is a sin, its not thier birth defect)Do not include Transgender in this community as they are born with such difficulty.Showing love to them(LGB) and bring them to church is fine, but at the same time, what measures have we taken to correct the LGB people to come out of their sin.

Hello “jkin5463” Silly: Just a warning for those seeking a church. This church is not Biblical and it’s gospel is not Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection. It is “their” interpretation of what the Scriptures say. This is a Ted talk wrapped in a gospel of social Justice, a culturally relevant, fitting into the world church.. There is more than one way to heaven (not just Jesus), they are pro choice. This is not hatred against them, but just meant to be helpful for Bible Believing Christians not to bother checking it out. Save your time and skip this weak, watery “church”.

Cal Foshee: Great place to go regardless of past difficulties with religion or current issues in your life. You'll find a lot of loving people who truly try to emulate Christ-like behaviors. This is an affirming church and welcomes all.

It's a nice place for STRONG Christian's to learn and listen, so they will be able to defend the hope that is within us as Paul encouraged us to do. I pray you all find what you are looking for with the reading of your Bible and learning God's word for yourselves.

Erica Prentice: If you're looking for a community that practices what it preaches- look no further. The love of Jesus is strong in this community. It is an affirming community of learners who aren't afraid to challenge the status quo. Most of the weekly lessons from the last year are openly available on YouTube. I love that I can access these lessons anywhere at anytime and am constantly encouraged to dig deeper and question more.

m dod: I've been going here since 2015 and I love it. Crosspointe is the first modern church where I felt truly accepted and apart of a community. They consistently show up and offer multiple ways to connect: whether it's online services, lifegroups, children's ministries, etc. Jonathan and Steve and Tirzah aren't afraid to take a deeper look at what the Bible says. I appreciate how their message is relatable and more importantly woven into today's current events and day to day life.

Chad Jemison: Our family began attending Crosspointe in 2017 and it quickly became home. Imagine a faith community that leans on the heart Rachel Held Evans, the authenticity of Brene Brown, and the thoughtfulness and care of a favorite college religion professor. If you are far more interested in living a life guided by love and the example that Jesus gave us than meeting a doctrinal litmus test, the Crosspointe community is for you. This is an intentionally inclusive community (it is 2020, y'all).

Wolfgang Sanyer: I started visiting Crosspointe five years ago, searching for a church to call "home". I specifically wanted somewhere that wasn't too pushy on donations and that allowed me have my own opinions. Crosspointe has been home ever since - they have a strong focus on educating the congregation, and making us aware of the context surrounding the various bible passages that we delve into. This makes in much easier to form our own opinions on what these passages mean. Also, Crosspointe is very inclusive, accepting anyone, which is very important to me.

Danielle Smith: I was a recovering Catholic coming into Crosspointe.I was literally in a place in my life where it felt like a requirement to have something bigger than myself a.k.a. God-I was skeptical and I’m always skeptical but, this church focuses on a loving and understanding God. I read a couple of negative reviews about how they shouldn’t love the sinner as much and things like that. I’ve gotten more personal growth from Steve D. sermons than I ever have at any church. They usually put a verse or an area in the Bible and then they talk about how it relates to every day life and then there might be a like love or forgiveness and they walk you through how every day you could reframe your thoughts and actions. I am more spiritual than religious but, if you’re looking for answers check this place out. I believe they have podcasts online if you want to get an idea but, it’s not the same as going.

Steve C: A great church where all are welcomed. This church gives meaning to the hymn we sang long ago, "Come as You Are."

Dori Robertson: Friendly accepting atmosphere in a beautiful building. Music and teaching are on point, with a focus on God's love. Onsite coffee shop is great.

Zuleika Vargas: I have yet to find a church like this one . We recently moved out of town but still attend service when we visit. Great place, great messages he’s thorough and to the point . He’s relatable and easy going good for young families trying to get closer to god. The pastor speaks the truth and doesn’t care about image or money. This place is great for families! We always leave feeling good and connected with god.
