They educated me on technical aspects of my purchases, carefully tailored my equipment, and even advised me on local clubs and events. As a now amateur athlete, I personally value the relationship, and they continue to maintain truly awesome service. If you’re interested in swimming, biking, running, or triathlon, look no further. Tim Orr (Tim Orr): Be wary of ordering a bike online. I tried buying one here that was advertised as free shipping all the way up through getting a shipping confirmation. Then they called my after shipping was confirmed to say they messed up and I had to pay. They gave me an ultimatum to pay shipping or get a refund with no option to negotiate. Their staff was patronizing and explained that the information of their shipping was on their website.If there is contradictory information in two different places on your site, that does not place an obligation on the customer to (a) scour the entire site looking for those contradictions after they find one answer or (b) assume that the contradiction should be resolved in favor of the seller (the one who made the mistake and is responsible for the confusion!).It may have been an honest mistake, but it felt like a scam to get extra money from after I was excited for my purchase. Very suspect.This was a big purchase for me and I had bought multiple other items in anticipation of getting the bike, which I now have to return or loose money on. It was a big hassle and was handled poorly by their management. In the end, I'm giving an two stars since they did issue the refund fairly quickly once I made a decision.Will not shop here again and will encourage others to avoid.

He was kind and beyond awesome.My boyfriend and I came in and basically said...he's a runner ...I'm a swimmer and we need bikes...basic open ticket to educate and sell us.Utterly disappointed 😞 the vibe was pretty gatekeepish and we both had budgeted to purchase bikes and a wetsuit. The selection and items in the store...awesome. The service today just really made me sad because I literally felt taken care of by a family member my last visit. I feel guilty leaving a bad review, but I even overheard a lady making a bike fitting appointment or attempting to...very dismissive he told her to call in or book online. She sounded perplexed, she was standing in the store. I asked about wetsuits and I requested a specific brand to start, no one checked on us so I just pulled some myself. I can buy the same one online with free ship and a discount, but I like to buy local. We kinda showed ourselves out. We made a trip from an hour away specifically HERE bc of the historically good service. 👍 Disappointing and a real bummer.
Brian Cline: This place looks awesome. There is a good selection of bikes, wetsuits, and running gear. I was disappointed with the level of service but I have heard great things about the customer service so I guess it was just the day I went. I watched another customer being treated dismissively as well. I wanted to buy a bike, but if I am going to drop that kind of money it has to be with right people. Those were not the right people that day. I look forward to returning on a day that other sales people are there... three stars for the selection and what I have been told is the standard there... I hope to adjust it up next time I visit.

They are knowledgeable about their products and very good about listening to your needs and offering suggestions. Everyone is pleasant, friendly and efficient. The sign in method for busy days works great!

Kayleigh McNeill: This is an amazing place to get shoes! I recently got a job working as a CNA at a hospital, and found myself in dire need of some new good fitting shoes. Tom, the employee who assisted me, walked me through the process with ease, and not only helped me find shoes that would fit well, but scanned my feet to make sure I was looking at brands that would best suit my needs! I was really impressed by his knowledge of shoes, especially when he was able to explain to me what everything in the scan meant for me on a personal level. I was so stuck between two pairs that I bought one pair today and intend on going back to buy the other later. I'll definitely be back!

Annie McDannold: I went yesterday to get new tennis shoes with better support. The employee was extremely helpful! He brought out multiple shoes that would potentially work well for me and had me try them all on. He then had me try on the pairs I liked most again to make sure I would get the one I liked best. Very knowledgeable and great customer service!

If you need good running shoes with a professional fitting, this is the place.I'm currently on a break from running due to injury, but needed new shoes to help with pronation issues that are part of my recovery (first visit to this store). The person who fit me paid attention to my running and discussion about my current needs, tried several pairs that were probably all good for my needs, and helped pick the best.I'm not going to quote someone else, but the person helping with my injury was pleased with that fitting. They are also a runner, and familiar with how a good running store can really help with a shoe fitting.This store also has a good reputation for supporting the local running community.
s: We had an issue with a purchase that was very unusual and the staff there resolved it in the most professional manner I have seen a business do in a long time. Hats off off to Jack there.. great at his job and as a person. We have bought much of our shoes and other items there and highly recommend if your not going here for running shoes etc to take a visit and give em a try. Getting a beer and cider while looking for shoes makes it a perfect experience!!

Chris Van: Visited this store yesterday with my elderly mother. She was looking for a pair of sneakers for daily wear. The gentleman that took care of us was extremely helpful and had the the patience to let her try on several sneakers until she found one that she liked both in color and comfort. Due to time constraints I did not get a pair for myself, however, I’m bringing my whole family there for our next sneaker purchase just because of how welcomed I felt. By the way they have a pretty cool beer selection which I wanted to grab a cold one while shopping but had other things to do. They also have a phenomenal selection of brand names. A+ establishment with A* customer service.

Murray H: Solid running store with knowledgeable staff…. Certainly no hard selling, to their credit once they recommend to me shoe at the time did not even carry. Prices are sensible as most high end gear is set by the manufacture. They do offer a nice points scheme. Also have a good selection of beers on Tap which some may find odd but from my experience there is one thing the running community like more than running - good beer. However if that is not your thing don’t let it put you off, first and foremost this is a running store…..The store owners organize weekly run groups at various other local venues, all levels are welcome, if you just want to get off the couch and walk that’s cool…… Also they organize two good size races in Holly Springs (8k or 16k Spring Classic and Holly Springs Half) both events will test your ability well, have great routes and local support.
H: Love my new shoes! I got great personalized service and their foot scanner confirmed my suspicions about what I needed in a shoe.They were patient and helpful as I tried on different styles and sizes and wandered around the store testing them out.I’ll be back for my next pair!
Nicole: By far the best experience from a local running store in years! I’m a “new” runner, as in I haven’t intentionally pounded the pavement in a couple decades, but decided it was time to finally get back in it - but for real this time. I’ve been to other run shops in the area and always ran away feeling like I wasn’t elite enough to dare step foot inside again. Naturally, I went in nervous based on experiences at other shops, but left confident and totally at ease. After trying on several different makes and models, I left with a pair that is perfect for me. I even brought my husband in to get fitted later that day! I had no idea running could be like this. Thank you!!!
S R: What a great experience! I visited PYRC because I was having some ankle pain and wanted to make sure my current running shoes were not causing it. I happened to visit on one of their “Ask an Expert” days so two great PTs from Results Physiotherapy were there, as well as Sam, (PYRC staff) who was so knowledgeable. They all asked me questions about my running and routine, evaluated my run and helped me get fitted with inserts and a new pair of shoes to help support my ankle. It was so helpful to have running experts to talk to and ask questions. Even though I am a beginner runner I never felt judged. Everyone was so kind. 10/10 recommend!

No effort to help find a shoe that fit my style. I'm going to Fleet Foot this weekend, hoping the people there will be more helpful (low bar to cross.).

Tom Eagen: I've been a runner for well over sixty years but spent most of last year dealing with a hip replacement and infection. Just starting to walk trails again, seemed time for new shoes. Off I went to Bull City Running and was met by extremely knowledgeable folks who spent about an hour checking my gait, having me try many pairs as they then watched me walk and jog and made changes. They were very pleasant people to deal with and clearly runners with professional training and knowledge. Their prices were the same as on-line shopping. Of course I picked up some new Swiftwick Aspire socks. So today i took my new shoes for a four miler and was pleasantly surprised at how much more comfortable I was. Strongly recommend this shop for anyone who wants to ensure that they are properly equipped to enjoy themselves.UPDATE: Sept 23, '18: This was the store's birthday sales weekend. I'm into my third pair of shoes and that process has reinforced just how admirable the owners and staff of this store are. You will NOT get away with 'almost right', "maybe ok", "sorta like 'em". These folks want you to be entirely pleased with your purchases and will spend whatever time and effort needed to achieve that goal. They have a generous return/credit policy, and this is all on top of their pricing which is at least as low as the big national and on-line stores. In short, their skill and friendly service is "free" and a great pleasure.There is no sense going elsewhere. Each visit is a delightful experience.UPDATE: 6-5-21. Ten pair of shoes later, still running comfortably at 78, thanks to these great folks!
David Bernard: When I buy shoes in person, this is where I go. Totally worth the 55-minute drive from Sanford. The staff here know their shoes, and they're super patient. Try on as many shoes as you want. Take as many trips up and down the sidewalk as you need. Today examplified why I love this store. I walked in and said "I'm looking for a road shoe, no more than 6 mm drop, light stability with a wide toe box. Whacha got?" The guy who helped me immediately identified four models that met my criteria. Bam! Doesn't get any better than that.

Jess Donner: I’m very disappointed with the incorrect fitting I received at Bull City Running.I went in mid-December to get fitted for new running shoes as a Christmas gift from my partner, and walked out with shoes half a size larger than I’ve worn in the past. Our Christmas gift-giving was delayed due to Covid, and then with the ice storms in January, I wasn’t able to fully test out the shoes until the past few weeks. Once I took a handful of runs, I realized I was swimming in them, and they were causing knee pain.I went back to the store today and was properly fitted, and the salesperson that helped me admitted that the prior fitting was ill-advised and a half size too large. Unfortunately I was a few weeks outside of the 30 day exchange window, which left me stuck with my previous shoes.I was disappointed in the poor quality of service I received in December, leaving me with $130 running shoes that I can’t use. I was even more disappointed when the manager today would not do anything to remedy the situation. I really wanted to support a local store, but will shop elsewhere in the future.

We communicated and triple checked. Since the item was no longer in stock, he direct ordered from the vendor immediately. That's what customer service is about.
