Bklyn Gal: Great place to go if your looking for a bit of history on North Carolina. You definitely can’t do it all in one day. There were a lot of other museums within walking distance.
K C: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry FreeMore
E Y: I highly recommend this science museum. Admission is complimentary, with the exception of special exhibits. The museum boasts a vast array of exhibits that are both educational and engaging. I suggest checking their online calendar for special events and exhibits. Parking is readily available on the side of the road during weekends, unless there is a special event such as BugFest. However, the café could benefit from some enhancements.
Patrick Hiltz: This place is really cool. Lots of dinosaur fossils, minerals/rocks/precious stones, and even a butterfly room with live butterflies and a 2 toed sloth. Very cool.
Jieming Wu: Well worth your while. The two museums are very close. A few hours can be arranged to go shopping together. good
michael newman: Little disappointed that alot of the interactive labs and displays weren't working on the nature side. We originally went here 5 years ago and now again in 2023. As an adult nothing has changed much. Kids enjoyed it as they were to young to remember our first visit. If you do want to do labs do them first as they close at 3.
Ian Knights: We arrived here mid afternoon and walked straight in. It was a Tuesday in May and pretty quiet. We went straight to the Information Desk to ask what they would recommend seeing. They helpfully suggested going straight up to the 4th floor where the "Living Conservatory" area would be closing shortly and then slowly make our way back down to the ground floor. We took this advice and just managed to be one of the last visitors allowed to walk through the small but interesting Living Conservatory. This is based on a Central American tropical dry forest filled with living plants and animals. The best bits here were all the live, exotic butterflies that were quite happy to catch a lift on the visitors, in the vain attempt to escape here. In fact before leaving this area you walked through two sets of doors with mirrors to ensure against escapees. Apparently there are also turtles, tarantulas, snakes and even a two-toed sloth here. We saw the latter but he/she was fast asleep high up in the branches.Having left this are we proceeded to make our slow way down. Indeed there are 4 floors packed with information about all the flora and fauna to be found in the North Carolina – land (above and below) and sea. This included informative areas on minerals and rocks, notably emeralds and an intriguing dinosaur area with the main highlight being the huge fossil skeleton of the Acrocanthosaurus – high spined lizard!I liked the section which showed the workshop of Herbert Hutchinson Brimley, the British born director under whose stewardship over 60 years, the museum had flourished. The whole, museum was incredibly well done. Throughout, thought had also been given to children focused exhibits with interesting interactive Q & A displays to help bring everything to life more.We could have spent longer here and there was certainly far too much on display to take all in in one afternoon visit. And all the main parts of this museum are free to enter. Excellent.
T.C. Cruz: Even if you don't pay to see exhibits, the amount of things to see and learn is extensive for a free museum. I was there about 2 hours and didn't get the chance to see it all. Bathrooms were clean. There is a public parking right across the street from the museum. Overall it's a good museum to visit, would recommend.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …More

Marom Lior: Love this place! We find new things to do every time we visit there.Yes, it will take you a couple of visits to cover the place, so just take your time and enjoy :)Great for both summer activities with the splash zone outside, and for the winter time with the indoor exhibitions and games.Ticket type: We have a season pass, great value for money
Charity Turner: Amazing time for the whole family, kiddos had a blast. Train ride, fossil dig, butterfly house, lemurs, tree house playground... Plan to spend the day, or two!
Jonathan Saucier: This is a fantastic facility to educate my kids and also to entertain my childish nature. The facility is very clean and the exhibits are well done. Sections are themed throughout the park that make this I would say, a world-class museum. On this visit my friends have invited us and my kids were able to explore the large museum, with still some left unexplored. For the offerings, I would recommend a season pass, as this can easily be a day full of fun with so much to explore. Adults will be entertained as well due to how sophisticated the exhibits are.I will be back many times and planning on buying a membership, which is a bargain for the offerings this facility has.
B Dismuke: I don't even know where to start! Been coming here since I was a kid and absolutely LOVE this Life and Science museum. I hold all Science museums to the expectations of this one here. Since moving many years ago I still haven't found one I love more or about the same. The exhibits are so well done, my kids can spend hours (an afternoon) here and don't get bored. Totally worth checking out, but make sure you have enough time so you get to see everything this place has to offer, there's a lot.
Amber Edmonds: Had a great time! Awesome place to go with your family. So much to do! We spent the entire day there! We will definitely be going back

Who designed this and it's for kids. Greensboro blows it away.Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry $21–30 …More
Eric Crabtree: Cool place for younger kids. A lot of exhibits not working. Seems as if the place could use an upgrade. For the price you pay for admission, they can definitely afford itPrice for entry: $23
Theresa Novicky: I have a membership to the Life and Science Museum. It’s so worth it! The new under 5 area is perfect for my 8 month old son. We go about 2-3 times a week. It’s the best spot for my son, they ask that you take your shoes off and strollers are left at the door. They also have a “tasted toy” bin for any toys that end up in your babies mouth! I also have an older daughter who loves the lemurs. It is a really nice walk and my son loves looking at all there is to see. Our favorite exhibits (in order) are the Under 5 area, the lemurs, origami, the bears, the wolves, the butterflies and the outdoor pond (so many turtles. It’s a very safe place for and if you get hungry the food is great. I will continue to bring my kids at least once a week.
Turner-Marie Johnson: There is so much to do here that you can come back again and again and your kids will never get bored. There are so many hands on activities for kids to explore and satisfy their curiosity. They recently opened an indoor exhibit for children ages 5 and below. It's a great way for the Littles to explore without getting run over by bigger kids. My son is 4 and he really enjoyed it. There's also a section for pre-walking children that is just for them.
Jenni Levenbook: Always a good time at MLS! The inside exhibits are captivating, the three sections of animals mean that we always have new animals yet to see, and the outside exhibits allow for loads of messy fun. To those wishing to attend the outside exhibits, bring a change of clothes and a towel per child and put them watersafe shoes.Outdoors has a water bottle filler near the Sprout Cafe. Indoors is resplendent with water bottle fillers.

Morehead Planetarium and Science Center: what do users think?
John Riselvato: Fantastic experience for adults and children. The showings on the dome screen are really out of this world. We are very fortunate to have such a projector in our state.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $11–15 …More
Marc Gerstein: The planetarium show was very good as was the short science show but there aren’t a lot of other exhibits
Panowork.com魔鬼哥哥: I was so excited to visit the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I had paid over a hundred bucks for a family membership that was supposed to last a whole year. But every time I went there, they had trouble finding my record on their computer. It was like they were using a floppy disk from the 90s or something. And the last time I went there, the lady at the ticket counter told me that my membership had expired. I was like, what? I checked my email when I got home and it clearly said that I still had a few months left. I felt like I had been ripped off by a bunch of space cadets.👩‍🚀👨‍🚀
mandy crandell: spent $95 and basically watched a movie. several of their floors were closed- of which was NOT disclosed before we purchased. 1 floor and one little hallway and a small circular area on the 1st floor is what was accessible. the movie was neat but the rest is NOT small kid friendly at all. our oldest was 11 and even he wasn’t entertained merely. i would not recommend this place at all.

Kasey Robbins: Fabulous
Brian LaRue: Morehead has changed a lot since I visited as a kid. It's still amazing for any lover of space and astronomy!!!
Alina Kuznietsova (Alina K.): Disappointed, I expected to see exhibition about the space and I saw only kids things. Nothing about the space!
Micah Roberts: Not worth the admission.
Jonah Lawson: I did the Carolina sky show after a friend told me it was their favorite… definitely recommend!
vinod kumar: Good science museum for kids and nice view and information in planetorium. Lot of university buildings nearby.
streamless boundary: Cool stuff. Interesting and well presented.
Michael Berry: This was an incredible planetarium. The hands-on exhibits made exploring easy and enjoyable for children and adults. The GSK full done theater was impressive and the film "We Are Stars" was very well done and explained concepts in terms that elementary school students can understand.
Mocha: when the telescope moves it's just like in fnaf
Shelley Burnette: Neat space but it doesn’t take but an hour to go all the way through it.
Liz Hunter: I enjoyed From Earth to universe today. It was too short. The college student showing the galaxies afterwards was too abrupt and the whole experience lasted 55 minutes. We need more scientific facts on each and maybe an adult feature that doesn't dumb it all down.I hadn't been since I was a kid and thoroughly enjoyed the theater, it brought back the same feeling at the end seeing your own galaxy is incredible.
ross dunn: I love the planetarium. It’s a great place to learn and relax. The surrounding landscape is always beautiful.
Fran Seaman: I've loved coming to the planetarium since I was in elementary school. Now I love bringing my kids here for different shows, and they love it too! Today we saw Earthquakes, Volcanoes, and Tsunamis. It was s great 30 minute show, followed by a live presentation.
Daniel Beatdoza: Super cool! They also have updated the content based on research and new findings! 👌🏼👍🏼
Fabian 12354: Very nice planetarium!
Brandon McGrotha: It’s a nice space. The exhibits are small and not really of interest, however. We saw “From Earth to space,” which was informative, but elementary. The best part was the live narration by Caleb after the movie. 5 stars to him!
