Kenneth Griffo: Dr. Bienia is a talented dentist. He takes the time to explain procedures and why he recommends them. Last year I reluctantly agreed to a night guard. I have worn it faithfully for about 4 months and I noticed my jaw no longer pops! Dr. B explained that this is a common side effect of a night guard, but they don't like to guarantee the results because they vary by individual. Not only are my teeth protected from my night grinding, I don't have any more jaw pain or popping! Thanks, Dr. B!Update: A week ago today I went in for my first anesthetized filling work in over 10 years. It was significant work in a hard-to-reach part of my mouth and I was scared. Dr. Bienia took his time, talked me through it, and about an hour later I had what essentially appeared to be a new tooth. If you're looking for an unconventional dentist who actually cares about your oral health, takes the time to understand your situation and does great work, look no further than Jason Bienia, DDS at Dentistry By Design.
Fred Koz: Dr. Bienia will explain in great detail, what is going on with your teeth....actually the health of your entire mouth. If you are young and dentist appointments are just a routine hassle, you may not appreciate his expertise until it's too late. But once you get older and stuff starts to 'happen', you'll really appreciate Dr. Bienia's time with you. He's not a production line franchise business, he's a caring professional that will help you take better care of your oral health. His use of modern imaging tools is really impressive and helps you as patient fully understand what is going on, and thus you can make decisions on your care.

Going to the dentist can be scary sometimes but Dr. Bienia makes it incredibly comfortable through communicating what he is doing and asking how you are throughout the process. He even called me the next day to see how I was feeling and if there was anything I needed! What Doctor does that these day?!Dr. Bienia is the best dentist I have ever been to and I highly recommend his services.

Rhonda Stewart: Dr. Bienia takes such care to explain your dental health to you so that you understand why things are happening and how to help to improve your dental health. He has improved my dental health significantly in the past 3 years with upgrading my fillings so they are not leaking and causing damage underneath that you would not be aware of until it too late and a lot more expensive to correct. I floss so much more intentional now because he tells me where the bleeding is occurring at the appt. so if I’m not doing my part at home I am already aware of what they are going to say when I get there because of his instruction and teaching of proper care. There is a no pressure approach to getting all taken care of but he is very proactive in telling you how to have better dental health which is ultimately a part of your whole body health! He and Teresa care tremendously about their patients! Can’t say enough good about them!

Teresa Squires: I don't usually take time to write reviews. However, the people, services & experience of Dentistry by Design so far exceed my expectations and made something I dread into a positive experience. Pain woke me in the early morning and within hours, I was taken care of thoroughly. Walking into the office, the environment is so positive, clean and beautiful. Putting me at further ease was Theresa who gave me a tour and made checking in easy. I usually dread the typical dentist "lecture" and was so relieved that Dr Bienia approached this as a collaboration to get the best health outcome based upon my choices. I have a terrible gag reflex and he had a trick that eliminated that discomfort. Amazing! Keri Smart: Dentistry By Design is by far the best dentist I’ve ever been to! They are thorough, have the latest and greatest technology, take their time, and make your experience as comfortable as possible! You might think that for such a wonderful experience you were about to pay a fortune but their pricing is excellent! Dr Bienia used an isolation dam which prevented all the water and everything else that happens in your mouth from going down your throat while he worked! He even gave me a little tooth pillow to help me relax my jaw while he worked! They go the extra mile to assess your mouth and create a complete plan of action to keep your whole mouth as healthy as possible. This is the first time I’ve felt they are not just “finding” problems to fix. They show evidence of what needs work but then let you decide when to take action. Theresa makes scheduling and working with insurance a breeze and always greets you with such warmth. Teri the assistant uses nonverbal cues to keep you super comfortable during the visit and is ready to help and make the appointment as smooth and fast as possible as well! I truly couldn’t recommend them more!

David Taylor: Over the holiday weekend, I had a crown come loose. Although it was not an emergency, I called Dr. Bienia's office to request an appointment as soon as they returned to the office after the weekend. To my delight, I received a call from Dr. Bienia the very next morning. He asked about the issue I was having and scheduled an appointment right after the weekend. Upon visiting the office my crown issue was assessed and corrected. As always, Dr. Bienia ad his staff talked me through their assessment and actions so I was confident that everything was being taken care of properly. The next day Dr. Bienia called to make sure everything was in good shape and corrected to my satisfaction. This follow up is something that no other dentist has ever done before Dr. Bienia became my dentist. Dr. Bienia and his staff are top notch.

I have hired many contractors to work on the four homes that I have owned in three different states during three decades. I know an excellent contractor when I see one and Drain Designs LLC checked off all of my boxes for quality work..Robert and his team were professional, timely, skilled and wonderful to work with. Best of all is that they made my swamp of a yard turn into a lush, green paradise! He determined where the drain ended which even the owners didn’t know. He cleaned up the work areas well. We are so pleased with his work and his solution.After I wrote the above review, Robert West assisted me with a vendor he recommended which was doing a poor job. He contacted the vendor on my behalf, called me to see if the vendor arrived, and stopped by at the end of his own busy day to check the vendor’s work. It illustrates Robert’s high standards for quality work and going the extra mile for his customers.

He explains what he’s planning or doing, he listens to your concerns and adjusts plans accordingly and then he does a great and conscientious job! Ric Schank: Over the year we've lived in our new CLT house, we obtained 4 quotes to address drainage issues, described by the previous owner as a "little seepage with heavy rains" in the basement storage area, which turned out to be a "lot of seepage with moderate rains". Most of them suggested solutions that seemed to be wasted money, everything from blasting through the basement floor to create new drains, to replacing vapor barriers and sealing up the basement and crawl space, etc. Nick at Drain Designs Charlotte suggested instead a set of new drains to take downspout and runoff water away from the house to a back culvert. Made sense. Job completed a couple of weeks ago. After, we had a few light rains so the ground had some moisture a then a 2" steady rain - instead of water seeping in from all sides of the basement, there was a small trickle at one side. Then next day, around the corner with the trickel, I banked dirt against the house to slope away from the house towards the new drains Nick's team had installed. Next day we had a solid 1" of rain - a few drops entered at that corner. It's not perfect, but for an 85-year-old house, we're pretty darn pleased. We recommend Nick and Drain Designs.

When Jeff evaluated our drainage issues, he diagnosed the problems and created a well planned drainage solution.A few weeks later, the Drain Designs installation team completed all the work in just one day. They installed water catchment basins/grates and ran underground pipes from those basins and our gutters to an egress point away from our house.I highly recommend Drain Designs! They did everything they promised. Their professionalism and quality is top notch. Now, we have a dry yard and a more secure foundation.

I felt everything was left in immaculate condition. Not only that, he went above and beyond, scraping a brickwork system that was original to the house and not even a part of the drainage system the company had installed. It was really superlative service.

Our lot, essentially flat, fostered pooling during rain and later standing water made for messy, soggy grounds that prohibited grass growing. All drainage problems now gone. Rob and his crew (Dalton and Mark) skilled - expert and efficient tradesmen. And the project completed at least a month ahead of projected schedule. In addition to their skills, they were professional, polite, answered questions, and a pleasure doing business with them. Don’t waste time on lesser systems. Dusty Hancock: Rob, Mark and Dalton did an excellent installation of drains in the yard, multiple downspout tie-ins and improving our crawl space drainage.The yard was minimally disturbed and what little that occurred was repaired flawlessly. The guys worked till 10 pm to beat the expected rain that night.The original home builder had made a few serious errors in drainage that only became evident after the digging commenced. Rob made corrections on the fly that took care of these issues.I would recommend this team to anyone with drainage issues
John Ladd: We couldn't be more pleased with Drain Designs as a company and especially pleased with the results of the excellent work by Rob and his crew. Our home has a concrete drive and sidewalks that slope to the front of the house. After even a minimal rain (remember those??), the garden area out front and under the steps of the front porch would be drenched and soggy for days. The side yard, where the driveway ends, was so soggy you couldn't walk on it after a rain without having your shoes sucked off your feet. The soil in the garden adjoining the rear of the house drained so poorly that the garden wasn't usable during the spring and fall. Rob and crew dug up and pulled the old, corrugated black pipe coming from the gutter downspouts and replaced them with smooth PVC pipe. Now, debris won’t get trapped in the pipe over time. Not only did they attach all the gutter downspouts to the new pipe, they added French drains at the front and rear of the house that are tied into the new system. Foundation drains for the HVAC and water heater were also tied into the system and two drainage boxes were added in the front yard and where the driveway ends.Now, any rain that falls or condensation from appliances is directed away from our house into the woods. The work was completed right before two days of heavy rain. When we looked in the woods after the first rain, we could see pools of water in the woods that would have previously been saturating the ground around our foundation. The very best part . . . whenever it rained more than just a shower, the humidity in our master bedroom (facing the driveway and sidewalks) would shoot up to between 60-65% causing us to run a room sized dehumidifier, sometimes for hours each day, to reduce the humidity level. The first rain after the new drainage system was installed, I checked the humidity in our bedroom. It was 39%! I was thrilled! We've had several more days of rain and the humidity level has not risen above 41%. The front and back gardens are nicely drained and you can keep your shoes on walking on the side yard.I was also impressed with how neat and clean they left our property after the job was done. It’s a little thing but it shows the kind of care they take and their professionalism.It's rare to find a company that keeps its word, does excellent work, has respectful and friendly staff, and excellent customer service. These folks care about the work they do and service they provide and it shows. I highly recommend Drain Designs.

Justin Williamson: Over a few years, what started as "Hmm, I thought that would be dry by now" turned into "I guess our yard will just be soup for the next week". We got quotes from a few drainage companies to help try to solve our issues, but the biggest difference between Drain Designs (Durham) and their competitors was the bidding process:They charged for the quote. Because of that, they did the most thorough job by far, inspecting what was going on with our yard, existing piping, etc. They uncovered things that other companies missed, and spent more time than any of the rest discussing with us what they thought should be addressed, and why. Ultimately, that quote charge got rolled into the job, so it ended up being free.Once the work started, there were a few additional hiccups that were uncovered, primarily around the usability of existing piping (which we had discussed as a possibility beforehand), that caused the plans to change early on, but Robert was very transparent with us, and though the cost went up a bit, we felt like the adjustments were reasonable.Near the end of the multi-day job, a tropical storm rolled through, and the crew were out here until nightfall trying to get as much done as possible ahead of the storm; we really appreciated the extra effort they put in. And Robert even came out on a Sunday to finish the job by himself.Overall, we were incredibly impressed by their thoroughness, transparency, and the quality of their work -- our backyard is actually usable again the day after a heavy rainfall, and we couldn't be happier.

Brushed painted the walls instead of spray and repaired a couple of problem areas. Cleaned up and put the furniture back. Eric B.: Our original 2006 paint job was definitely needing some attention so I went out and got my 3 quotes. Geoff w/360 Painting hit that sweet spot of punctuality, professionalism, excellent work and a fair price. His crew was able to knock out my job in just over 2 days which was impressive given that they did 2 coats on the siding, trim, and the floors, ceilings and railings of all 3 of our porches as well as some wood repair work. They were flexible and patient as we were still questioning our color choices and were just generally easy to work with. While I could nitpick a few minor things, the fact that Geoff offers to come back out after several weeks to ensure he and his team didn’t miss anything is really a testament to his goal of customer satisfaction. I did take advantage of this option for something I had not initially noticed and Geoff and team came back out promptly to address my concern and provide a fix. I even had the nerve to go back to him w/ another concern, which I felt bad about since it was just a day after they had just left, and he told me they would come back out during the next job they had in the area. This is what I look for when dealing with a company. Things will inevitably go wrong or not be to your satisfaction and it is those companies that address these concerns without giving you a hard time or nickel and diming you that truly deserve the business.
