Randy Goins: I've hired Colonial Materials for multiple sheet rock deliveries since 2012, back when the company was Triangle Materials. Each of my experiences have ran smooth with no issues. On this particular delivery, the crew was delivering 70 sheets at a residential property, through a 50' casement window and delivered down a narrow hallway into an attic I am prepping for renovation. The crew on the job, LeRon and Tyler both represented Colonial Materials with professionalism and class. They worked at a steady pace, respected the home and were very kind, personable people. They left the home in immaculate condition, without even a dent on the window or walls. Overall, just an exceptional execution. I'd recommend requesting Tyler and LeRon for your delivery - they did excellent in all aspects of the job - operating crane truck, boom lift and product. Well done, Colonial Materials, LeRon, Tyler, David, Bob, Kelly & John - each of you represented your brand at the highest level.

Four stars because the people were nice and they emediatly started unloading me.. make sure and walk around first to see the layout.. now the way they had me do it was to go down to the rail car and three point turn.. so turn to the right at end of the building, back up on the right side of the rail car then turn right going back out toward the gate to setup for the dock.. there may be trucks and forklifts on the end of building.. and cars going in and out of the gate while you're trying to back 🙄.. not a lot of space to move.. anyway go inside the first man door and see which bay is open before you back one or the other may be blocked with pallets they had me back into the one closest to the man door.. definitely not meant for 53" at all may take you a few tries.. watch out you don't hit the gate trying to back in.. Hard to back but this Swift made it in.. Good Luck! 👍

Kenneth Long: I’m giving it 3 stars because of the staff in my opinion they were helpful and polite. I didn’t rate it higher because I’m looking at it from a truck drivers perspective. If you are bring a sleeper and a 53’ trailer BEWARE!!!! Is all I can say. Now Ive been driving big rigs since 2008 and even though I’m not the best backer in the world I can back and this place is not and I will repeat is not set up for sleeper cabs and 53’s. If you can’t blind back forget it all together and my advice bring your tandems all the way up as far as they can go. Take your time and if there’s someone around to help do not be afraid to ask Good Luck
sergiy lazarev: Slowest receiving!!! Truck drivers avoid! Fork lift guys walking around talking on their phones. After 45 mins of waiting i came up to one of them and asked nicely if he could start unloading me cause i have another drop and a pick up appt. The guy was laughing in my face and kept on saying one phrase: sir I'm doing my job. Ended up arguing with the office ppl, and they had to send another guy to unload me. It took him 15 mins to get me empty. Total waiting time 1hr 20min to take 5 bundles off. Never again

Sky: Very unhappy with all interactions with this company. Scheduled to have a worker come to my home to provide an estimate. When I explained my project that I wanted done the worker didnt say much at all, pretty much just nodded his head to anything I said. There was no asking specifics, no telling me what would bemore ideal for my situation, no explanation of how they would do things. Pretty much minimal interaction despite me trying to ask specifics of how things/parts of the project would work. I felt as if none of my questions were being answered.I then waited over 2 weeks for an estimate, just to be notified that I would need to talk to someone outside the company before even getting an estimate for the project- which would be hundreds of dollars extra just. Why was I not notified this at the start?Lastly, my estimate for part of the project was then emailed to me (no greeting in the email of anything, pretty much just a link) which was over DOUBLE (!!) all other estimates other local contractors provided to me. Not sure if they made the estimate so ridiculous because they don't want to do the project, because I'm a woman and they think I don't know any better, or what...That is a lot of money for a company who gave me so little details and specifics!I strongly suggest you re-evaluate your customer service, as I feel like just a number. In the end I went with a different company with electricians, engineers, and everyone needed for my project for half the cost and with significantly better communication- with just as great results. Can't speak for any of their work, but honestly I do not care to know after my interactions with this company over a few weeks.After posting my review they had the inclination to comment that they saw I gave another company a 1 star review- I am sure they do great work, but they could not provide service to an area they stated they service so I was disappointed.Why would you choose a company that will jump down your throat for having an opinion? Embarrassing to see how they handle the feedback given publicly
Allis Tina LaBeau: Horrible job. Not only a bad job but used unlicensed electricians. I have to have everything redone. I have other safety issues that I have to deal with. This company has been a nightmare.Edit response: It wasn't perfect until payment, but you wouldn't have known that because you never had anything to do with it after quoting the job.. Your responses to negative reviews are exactly what you get with this company. Carlos is a bully. The judge told you to knock off a third of what you said we owe. Then he told us we have grounds to sue you back for the entire job to be redone with permits and licenced electricians. James Glenos: Overall we had a good experience with AMC Contracting and I would consider using them again for future projects. AMC handled all the demo, plumbing, electrical, painting/drywall, and appliance installation work surrounding our kitchen renovation. This was the majority of the work, and we also added on additional work in other areas of the house (interior painting, bedroom ceiling/floor repairs) that they were able to accommodate. AMC coordinated their work around the work we had already arranged (cabinet installation and floor work) without issue. We were impressed with the professionalism of the workers, and they showed up every day according to the project schedule through completion.Most communication throughout the project is handled via email. This was one of my biggest concerns going into things, but it didn't end up being an issue for us as the project was completed to our satisfaction in a timely manner, and we always had timely responses.Service:Remodeling

Ro Ralph: Incredibly unprofessional office personnel who are non responsive at times and very slow at others via e-mail (their stated preferred method of communication) without answering the questions. Office manager never returned any phone calls which all go to an off site call center. A 2 day project took more than 8 days with multiple complaints about the poor repairs, and the work not even completed. Example of workmanship was evident in the fact that a simple trim repair around and exterior door required a complete door jamb rebuild as the workers destroyed the existing one, and while removing the trim to replace, they also destroyed several pieces of siding that then had to be repaired. All caulking had to be redone under direct supervision. Note: the workers were friendly, and one stated that he was unaware of the work that needed to be done because all he gets is an e-mail from the main office with an invoice attached.Services:Exterior structural repairs,Exterior finishing
Sara Lanter: We used AMC Contracting for our Master Shower Repair due to a water leakage. We loved our shower and stressed to them that we wanted the exact same look. They agreed and took their own pictures so they could replicate the shower. The tear down and the tile reinstall went great and their tile work is great. What was never mentioned verbally or in the contract that we signed, is they use another company for shower glass install. We were uneasy with the conversation we had with the Glass Company from the beginning when measurements were taken for our shower glass. We stressed our concerned with the owner of AMC Contracting (due to AMC wanting the another 40% of cost which would give them 90% of cost paid even before the shower glass was ordered or installed). The owner of AMC Contracting, Carlos, assured us that our shower glass / door would be the same as what was originally removed by AMC. The shower glass took twice as long as the original estimate to arrive and we had to question AMC about the length of time. The shower glass install began and it was not the same install as we originally had (like we had requested from the beginning with AMC). The Glass Company owner stated no one told him what we wanted, and AMC did nothing to help us correct the situation, basically stating that this Glass Company does all their glass installs and its up to the Glass Company to fix. We chose to let them go forward with the Shower install due to we need our shower complete — only to find out that there is an uneven gap (top to bottom) between the shower door and the rest of the shower glass. AMC Contracting is no longer responded to our emails (which you communicate with them through emails only), and our last email with AMC was them just emailing us that the Glass Company will reach out to us ASAP and that was 5 days ago. But AMC does not care that the our shower glass is not correct because they already have 90% of the cost of the shower remodel — our mistake. Carol Braunhardt: I am very satisfied with the AMC contracting work recently done on my home by Sergio and team! They repaired a big problem I had with my back (patio) door & small area of inside subfloor next to the door. Water had splashed up from the deck (for years) and the bottom of the door center support had rotted out & small area of inside subfloor had also rotted & needed replacing. Sergio & team removed the patio door and replaced the support & replaced the necessary subflooring. They re-installed the patio door, storm door, did necessary caulking & painting. A great job! Julio Portalatin: Wish our interaction could have gone better, and I expected it to since they had such good reviews in the past. My experience however was very unprofessional, especially when it came to transparency and communication. Over a 2 month period I asked a dozen times to speak with someone over the phone to get details of my project and was constantly turned down or ignored. Would get one sentence responses to emails that didn't actually answer any of my questions on timelines or what to expect once we would get started.Needed to get this project done quickly and since we were already months into "planning" I paid them 50% upfront. The owner then proceeded to cancel the project THE NIGHT BEFORE they were supposed to start which was only communicated to me 2 days before.It is obvious this company is taking full advantage of customers in this market, choosing who to work with and how to treat them. I just wish they didn't waist so much of my time and turned the job down earlier in the process, before signing a mutual contract.After all was said and done though this was a blessing in disguise for my family. I found a much more reliable and communicative contracting company for the immediate project and many more to come.

Ryan & Heather Eppenberger: Carlos is a life saver! We needed to remove the tile backsplash in our kitchen as part of a refurbishment, but since we were replacing it with drywall (instead of tile), we could not find anyone willing to do the work without charging us an arm and a leg and making us wait six weeks for the privilege. Then we found AMC. Carlos not only willingly embraced the project, he scheduled us for the same week, which allowed the rest of the kitchen project to stay on schedule. As if this weren't enough, the people he sent to do the job were kind, considerate, timely, and highly skilled. They completed a job that had been estimated to take 4 days in 2, and they left the work area clean and entirely undamaged. We thought for sure we were going to be stuck overpaying someone else for long-delayed mediocre work. Instead AMC gave us fast service, incredible work, and a reasonable price. Josh Burgess: I brought Greg my 2005 Honda shadow aero in pretty rough shape after it had sat outside for over 6 months. It wouldn’t start and needed to be refurbished. Greg went above and beyond: he took the bike apart, fixed and cleaned all necessary components, and even treated the leather. The result was a motorcycle that looked and rode like-new. Greg also communicated every step of the way including pictures/updates and which parts he needed to get the job done. All of his work was done quickly and the pricing was much better than anywhere else. I can’t recommend Greg and Impact Fabrication enough! An excellent professional and an even better person to work with.

Ken Gangl: Impact Fabrication has done two GTA welding projects for my sailboat, both 316L material. Greg makes sure that he understands the application and its requirements. He skillfully welded both items, including management of distortion. I would recommend his work without reservation.
Pat Anderson: I had Greg at Impact Fabrication come out and weld in some upper strut mount buckets back on to my 06 F150. The welds came out beautiful and are incredibly strong. I’d go as far to say that they are stronger than when it came from the factory!Greg was also very helpful in guiding me how to set the buckets up in order to get the strongest welds possible and I can’t thank him enough for that.I would recommend Greg and Impact Fabrication to anyone needing custom or mobile welding!!
