The Sewing Room of Garner: what do users think?
A V: Checked this place out while in the Raleigh area visiting family. Markea was super nice and helpful, and definitely made me feel welcome. I picked up some hardware, which is great quality, and some vinyl and a tee shirt too! Overall very happy with my experience there, and I will definitely return next time I'm in the area!!
David Alan: I really don’t know if I have the words to express how I feel about these ladies. I was gifted a beginning sewing class for Christmas. I always wanted to learn to hem my own jeans and maybe re-spark a long beaten-down childhood dream of being a fashion designer. I was nervous of the class setting. However, as soon as I walked in, I felt like I had walked into a warm hug. Teeny-tiny, but adorable front store. And a pleasantly surprising warehouse-size class room. I felt like I was on “Project Runway” the moment I walked in. I was in love already. And then, what cinched my instant decision to take as many classes as they have and then maybe take them again: Markea. ♥️ Markea Sawyer. If I had to dream up an instructor, it would be her. At first glance, she’s stunning. Like, that “the room just got brighter” kind of stunning. Just pure light coming from her. And her teaching style is *chef’s kiss*. She knows her stuff! That is non-negotiable. But she also doesn’t know some stuff, and she is fine with admitting that. You will never feel that you aren’t good enough once you know her. She meets everyone where they are. She treats EVERY student exactly the same, but with personal touches. She will get you to where you need to, or want to be. I am a former Corporate Trainer, so I know what a great trainer is, and Markea is that! And more! No notes! And then I met the owner. Doo doo doooom! I’m always hesitant to meet owners because they sometimes ruin the experience. They’re just there for the cash. Well, hate to tell you, but Sandra is the exact opposite. I instantly gravitated to her, too! She has this amazing confidence, but no egoism, about her. She’s super-friendly and fun to talk to. I would 100% want to work for her.And Brandy, who does tailoring and instruction? She makes you feel like a celebrity client as soon as you lock eyes with her. I am going to work with her to tailor a very important garment later this year, and I am going to feel like the diva that I am.Go her! Take classes! Buy all of the things! Get some joy in your life. Perfect score! Business of the Year would be deserved.

DeAnn Surrette: Sandra is amazing- a wonderful teacher and mentor. I've been enjoying classes there for approximately 6 months, and my 13 year old daughter attended her last track out camp!!!! She loved it! Highly recommended!!!!
Scott Stupak (Scott): I've been looking for a place that would help my daughter with making an animal costume and using a sewing machine. The owners were really great and my daughter loves it.
