Campus West at Tryon: what do users think?
Kailey Lynch: My favorite thing about campus west is the maintenance staff they are quick and super nice!
Mackenzie Major: I’ve really come to love this apartment complex. The maintenance staff is so quick and reliable. The office staff have been kind and very helpful so far. The apartments themselves are very modern and in great condition considering that they are student apartments. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who would consider living here. :)
louise: Decent apartments, but the parking situation is ridiculous as you basically cannot have visitors because they only provide ten visitor spots for the whole complex.
Stormie Coates: This apartment is desperate for money and is not concerned for the safety of their renters. The apartment is listed as student housing for college students, and they will just move in anyone off the street. I’m 18 years old, my old roommate who was 23 moved out. They tried moving in a 28 year old women that wasn’t a student into our apartment, we talked to this lady and she was horrible, saying she was going to bring 30 year old men to the apartment after we told her that makes us uncomfortable as 18 and 19 year old girls. We complained and the apartment said they can’t discriminate against age. Well she ended up not moving in, and today my roommate and I get an email saying that they are moving a man into our apartment tomorrow after we specifically filled out a form saying we do not want male roommates. We are two teenage girls just concerned for our safety and the apartment does not care. We won’t be able to be comfortable in our own apartment and might end up having to find another living situation because the apartment just wants money. We know absolutely nothing about this man, how old he is, etc. It’s disgusting and unless you have specific roommates picked out do not live here.
Abby: Current resident of Campus West, I re-signed my lease for a second year. The first year was absolutely great, no problems with management or getting work orders completed on time when things in our unit were broken. Since starting my second year living here, I have absolutely hated living here because of the poor management and lack of care for their residents. First, they said if we re-signed (which I did in October of 2021) that we would get a 250$ gift card...which I never received. Next, we had a flea infestation which is in no way the management's fault, but when we had asked for help they quickly responded and said we would be able to get the place treated. With that being said, we were told to prep our rooms and pack up to ensure that the exterminators can complete the job correctly. In doing that, we left our apartments for the whole day as the directions told us. We did not hear back from management or the pest control company. Upon calling, texting, and emailing the office multiple times, we received no response. We weren't even sure if it was safe to re-enter our place. My roommates and I had to find somewhere else to live for SEVEN days (because it was over labor day weekend with still no response). We had to physically go in the office and ask ourselves to get the problem resolved and those in the office seemed as if this situation wasn't something that was their problem or anything that should have been their responsibility. It is incredibly disappointing considering how much I have loved living here. When explaining our frustrations, they say the best they can offer us is a $50 gift card, that NOT to my surprise, we still haven't received. Last note, they raised their rent by 50$ a month in just a single year. I originally signed here for the value that I was getting, but now it has become more of a hassle.
Luke Hinshaw: I lived at Campus West for the last two years. Upon moving out I cleaned, vacuumed, and sanitized my apartment to a condition better than I found it when I moved in. There was candlewax all over the carpet and in the bathroom. They did not return my full security deposit upon move-out, never having notified me of why. I contacted the office 3 times but have not received any information regarding my refund. They also currently have a giant parking scam that involves limited visitors spaces and unrealistic requirements to drive 10 minutes to the office to get an overnight pass anytime your guests stay after hours when the parking lot is always half empty. Be careful anytime you visit your friends at Campus West.
Lonnie Brockman: As a parent I am very disappointed with the management at Campus West at Tryon. My son consistently paid his rent on time every month & caused no issues while living there. The first month he lived there (August 2021) the A/C was out in the unit for several days during one of the hottest months of the year. It was cooler outside than it was on the inside but there was no adjustment towards the rent for this major inconvenience. After several calls on a daily basis to the main office the maintenance staff finally fixed the unit. Prior to moving out of the unit my son & I cleaned, sanitized his bathroom with bleach, vacuumed his room, cleaned & swept their community kitchen. After doing all of this I contacted the management office to see if a staff member could come by while we were there so they could inspect the unit prior to moving out (on Monday July 25th, 2022). The official move out day was Friday July 29th. We were told that someone would be there in a few days. I was totally shocked to receive an email titled Move-out Statement from Campus West on Wednesday August 17, 2022. The email said they were keeping our $100.00 deposit & that we are being charged a total of $127.50. They stated the charges were for Bathroom/Shower clean, walls, ceiling, paint & flooring clean. I could not believe this. I felt they were trying to do whatever they could to get additional money out of us. When I immediately called to ask the office about this ridiculous charge I was told to send an email regarding my complaint. We have not received any compensation for our inconvenience for the broken A/C but they can find some frivolous charge to tack on at the end. This totally confirms & validate my "gut feeling" to encourage my son not to renew his lease there for the 2022-2023 term. Parents & students please be aware of these tactics by this apartment complex.
Jacob Leitch: Great and clean apartment. The trash was overflowing for a few months but they have seemed to figured it out. The campus west management has improved.
Adam Bender: It's an alright place. Water pressure is pretty bad, as is the hot water supply for the shower, but that's not a huge issue. Compared to other complexes I've lived at though, the internet here kind of sucks. Very easily bottlenecks even when wired in directly and caps out at 11MB/s total in the best of circumstances.Rooms are decently sized and my closet is downright enormous. But being basically second class citizens compared to uv2505 is stupid and having packages shipped there when you put the address in for college in is incredibly obnoxious. Also, there is nowhere to put the recycling. Overall I'd say this is an ok place to live, but don't make it your first choice. College Inn was pretty nice when I lived there.
Christian Beskie: The apartment was very dirty and smelled like animal urine during move-in. The main bedroom door did not lock and one would suppose that the staff would have noticed this during the time that they “checked” the apartments. This is a huge security risk on behalf of the management staff and shows their inability to consider tenant’s safety. I had to put in several maintenance orders to fix this problem, only for the maintenance staff to enter my unit with no warning and enter my room while I’m in the shower. The internet here is also atrocious. Not only is the internet public access, where one can easily hack into the servers after a few pop-up messages, but the speed is also very slow. The office is not accommodating to this and provides no help to college students whom need proper internet during the times of the COVID-19 pandemic.Tenants are also forced into paying for amenities that are not on the physical apartment’s campus. All of the advertised amenities (pool, clubhouse, shuttle) are at the UV2505 campus. This was not made obvious to future tenant’s until move-in.
Samantha-Nicole Dixon: One thing that they really need to improve on is their consistency as well as resident opportunities. They did a really cool and exciting seven days of giveaways on Instagram but only ended up posting two of the days. It seems like a lot of focus is placed on the sister property, including events and resident opportunities that are posted and publicized. They started a newsletter that I haven’t seen or heard from in months either. They need to get in a better habit of seeing things through and ensuring that campus west residents are informed and welcomed/included in communication about sister property events or activities.
Liala Girl: Do not live here. The internet is terrible and you can only use their internet. Go elsewhere.
Cameron Murray: I love living at campus west. Nice area and nice rooms. I’m glad I stay here because it is beautiful inside and out. I would recommend to anybody to stay here and the price is very affordable.
Ben Gundersen: Campus West is great! Very short drive to both Main and Centennial campus. The apartments themselves are very modern and spacious. Overall, it’s a great place to live, especially given the price!
Sophie Chance: The staff is extremely responsive and kind.
Cara Franceschini: The style of the apartments are very fashionable and the amenities are great. Very nice office staff as well.
Natasha James: Update: 10 days have passed and someone has come out. TEN DAYS!This is a nice place to live. However since the change in management things have gone downhill. This is my review of the new management company.1. There have been several times when I was overcharged for rent. I had to call and email SEVERAL times before I could get it fixed.2. One night multiple gun shots rang off. The police came. The management company never said anything about it. No update or notice to the community. NOTHING3. Today, I found several bees in my room. Not like 2 or 3, but like 10 or 15. They are apparently coming through the vent in my bathroom. I can hear them buzzing. I called maintenance and they said someone will be around. This was around 12ish. It's now about 6pm. No update. Also no one cared to ask if I was allergic
Mai Mclean: NICE.
Erica Crouch-Campbell: I actually have never stayed in these apartment however we do clean them yearly at turn. I think these apartments are well set up with lots of space. They're very modern and up-to-date. The staff at the leasing office have always been very nice to me and my crew. They are very conveniently located off of Tryon but it doesn't feel like there in a super busy area. If I were going to rent an apartment in Raleigh for college I definitely would rent these!
Altrefi Jumaha: It very places because of the cleaned

Anurata Hridi: Great neighborhood! Apartments are old, but the interior insulation is amazing. Maintenance staff is pretty fast to respond and helpful.
Matthew: Old style housing facilities for students, a long way from campus but classified as being on campus.
Alonza Watson: GBY all Aman Be Safe Stay Saved.
Captain Shepard: I have lived here for 4 years, back when Ms. Rena was around (2017). Good memories of the place really. I miss the good days, as is usual.
saman asvadi: I spent 10 months in a studio there. The buildings are very old. I bet the floor carpet was not change for mor than 50 years. The units stink very much. Studios are very small, and the rent is high considering the small size and bad quality. There is no AC. The heating system does not heat the place in winters. I could have rented a very nice 1-bedroom apartment with the same price.Children make a lot of noise while playing in the yard. And the laundry equipment is too old. The only good point is that there is no roach.
J. Franks: These are older apartments that the University bought years ago to house adult employess and students. Many people who live here have families and need an affordable place that's close to the University. They're not fancy but they do keep the apartments up and problems are addressed pretty quickly.
drjazzbob: Reasonable and clean accomodations.
Lisandra Chacon: Excellent place to live with kids
kenvanallen89: It's a nice place to live as a student. The one thing I dislike is the monthly room inspections. To my knowledge this is the only on-campus housing that does this.....I feel like it has to do with the area at which eskv is located
Emily Floess: Very nice and safe place to live, and very convenient to campus and grocery stores. There is a grocery store right by in walking distance and buses to campus are every 10 minutes or you can ride your bike on a bike path or walk to campus. There are very nice grounds around the apartment to walk around or sit and picnic areas . There are playgrounds for children. The apartments are also very nice and sunny with lots of storage space. Housing puts on community events once a month which are very fun, including sometimes trips including one to Atlanta, and housing staff is always available in case you need something or in case of emergency. Packages also are delivered to office which is very convenient.
Aaron Lundy: A very quiet place, low crime, close to the store and restaurant. I also love how beautiful this glows in the fall. I have to say there are some pretty interesting residents though, but very friendly and down to Earth though... I think the people who rip this place in the reviews are the type who don’t know how to live modestly and shoot their expectations way to high. Most of us here are students and the staff works hard and does their best, definitely with all their events.
John Sisk: Great snowy photo
Francisco Moreno: Excellent.
Hamid Sanei: Old, and non-efficient
Robert Cavazos: My wife and I absolutely love this apartment complex. It's perfect for graduate students, with many families spanning old and young. The apartments feature new roofs and central a/c, as well as ample and lovely midcentury modern built-ins, including bookshelves and dressers. The grounds are peaceful and park-like, including playgrounds, picnic benches and BBQ pits, a community garden, as well as volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts—even two adjacent soccer fields! All of our work orders submitted online through the university have been completed within a day, and the maintenance and office staff are always pleasant and friendly. The community regularly offers events, including Thanksgiving dinners, cultural celebrations, and group trips to fun destinations such as D.C., Greensboro, and First Fridays downtown. Living at E.S. King has made my wife and I feel very welcome and part of a community here at NC State while I pursue my masters.
Abdelrahman Zkria Ahmed: So convenient, close to grocery, restaurants, etc.It is a bit quite, and isolated from students life. more suitable for families
Don P: Nice place for students at NC state
A. L.: I didnt enter building but it seemed clean and quiet at night.
Jeet: Decent accommodation for the price. One thing I loved was that you dont have to pay rent if youre a student and you go home for a month or something.
Umesh K: Very spacious rooms, supporting staff and near to market and restaurants.

Valentine Commons: what do users think?
Maddie B C: I’ve lived here since august and over that time the elevators have broken every week and currently have been broken for 6 days. I live On the tenth floor and am paying for the amenities of having an elevator. My roommate has surgery and can’t climb the stairs but she has no elevator to use so she popped a stitch because of the poor management and condition of this place. They also towed my car from the parking garage when I have a parking pass and had to pay $270 to get it back. Pay more and live somewhere else because this dump isn’t worth it . Wish I could rate it 0 also most of the workers are rude. Oh and someone broke in and set the place on fire earlier this year because security is so bad.
Jdtank 50: I take everything back about this place! This place so god awful!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SPACE AND WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!! They will not care about you at all, will violate multiple renters rights, staff will not be where they are needed at all, staff is also rude majority of the time, their portal doesn’t work and you pay for amenities that you can’t even access! YOU WILL REGRET LIVING HERE! IF ITS NOT TOO LATE GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN BEFORE YOU GET SCREWED!
Shaun Syrop: STAFF IS AWEOME AS IS TRHE MOVE IN AND PAYMENT OPTIONS. PLACE IS CLEAN AND SECURED W ON SITE SECURITY. WELL KEPT GROUNDS. NEEDS BETTER CLOSET DESIGN
Panda Lover: Would not recommend living at this place. The maintenance staff is absolutely unhelpful and take forever to assist you. I've had to submit numerous service requests and they don't fix the problem for days no matter how much you ask them to prioritize it. ON TOP OF THAT they arent open on weekends. DONT LIVE HERE.
Nicolas Mastrovito: This review is specifically for the maintenance team. A ton of mold began growing on the wall behind our couch over the course of about a week. The maintenance team fulfilled our work order within a few days. They came and cleaned all of the mold behind the couch and in the living space very quickly and they were very helpful. The building itself has problems but the maintenance team has usually been very helpful in my experience, and I have lived here for about a year and a half.
katelyn: Go here if you want to owe $200+ in parking tickets!! Valentine Commons will not accommodate you in any way 3In addition to that.. they’re not open on weekends so good luck getting your packages
aspen stuit: DO NOT LIVE HERE! The elevators are constantly broken, the parking deck elevator has dried vomit on the door, and the door to the deck has been broken for months. Don’t even get me started on the trash! Parents, unless you want your children to live next to an overflowing trash room that consistently is backed up and the smell of rotting food permeates the hallway, look elsewhere. I would think that the trash problem alone would be a health hazard and violation. Trash bags have been left sitting IN the hallway, how is that not a fire code violation?! The staff also work much less hours and it is hard to reach them , they are not as personable as previous management was. Yes this place might get renovations over the next few years, but it is not worth paying $700 to live in the equivalent of public housing. Preiss company has added on at least $200+ on top of rent that you can not opt out of, and it’s just not worth it. Mold is also something that is present in certain rooms
Peyton Gardner: RUN! DO NOT LIVE HERE! Why a resident of THREE YEARS is moving my last year of college:Preiss taking over Valentine Commons was the worst thing that could have happened to this place. They don’t work AT ALL on the weekends and are completely unreachable after hours. Since they have taken over:1. I’ve had 2 packages stolen (never happened under old management)2. My fridge has broken 3 times in the last month, spoiling everything in it and the freezer 3 times. This last time it went out on a Friday evening, meaning we had to wait until Monday to get in touch with anyone.3. I tried to call the “Courtesy Officer” about an apartment blasting music into the courtyard all night, but the “emergency number” they give us just sends you to the front desk. And from there, you can leave your number to be contacted about it later.4. The parking garage is a pit and the side door to get in is constantly broken. Not to mention the 5th floor has no lights whatsoever.I have lived here for three years, and wanted to spend my fourth one in a place me and my roommates have made home. After one month under Preiss’ management, we decided it was worth the hassle of moving our last year just to not have to deal with them anymore.
Colton Williams: Not a good place to live, flat out. Paying not much below the rate of other apartments in the area, for much worse. Smaller, terrible condition, parking garage full of trash, and not good staff. Terrible apartments.
Wrenn Dawson: Room was dirty when we moved in, AC constantly broke, walls were super thin, smells bad
Doc MC: Just be aware that one or both elevators on the East wing will not work and has been an on going issue for years based on previous comments and my experience this year. Please for your sake, take pictures of everything, including the kitchen and the common room so they do not charge you for damages left from previous tenants. I ran into an issue where I was unable to upload pictures of damages and was told by an employee not to worry about it. DO WORRY about it. Do whatever it takes to make sure the pictures and damages are submitted any way possible. They claim to have employees check in prior to your move in date, but as someone who witnessed their “inspection”, they are in and out within a minute. Be aware the employees are students as well, so don’t expect too much out of them either.
S J: Dishonest management and not very nice place to stay. Due to COVId last year in one dorm apartment ac went out and they decided not to send anyone to repair and kids being sick without ac for 25 days not very human and nice. Occasionally ac will go bad and take daysss to repair it. Pay attention on move in inspection and take lots pics. If you failed that part end of your lease you get final bill for new stuff they done in room or living room so you can’t argue. They using opportunity to charge parents for something there kids didn’t do but they replace blinds or carpet on your dime. They sent you to collections agency first then sent you email URGENT 2nd notice. Very shady business they run and super dishonest management . I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE to anyone.
Tiger Kaovilai: Bad moveout experience, don't expect a scheduled standard checkout to protect you from extra charges. If they find something at a later date they think is trash after having already completed a scheduled walkthrough move out, which you thought was part of the room at move-in, and therefore you did not make a note about the "included" trashcan and the staff didn't notice it at move out, you can expect surprise charges from management that are not responsive to disputes.
Hasret Nur: I wish there was a ZERO star option because this place does NOT deserve even a star. Anyone thinking to move in here please for your own sake DO NOT EVEN GET CLOSE TO THIS PLACE. This complex can scam people and demand lots of money after you move out for the things you did not do. Also it is a very noisy apartment and it is got lack of security anyone can come and go inside the building. The furniture quality is really bad. The apartment units are NOT clean. There are stains on the furniture and on the carpet from the wall paint.
Faith Saldo: Ive lived here since august of 2021 and both elevators have worked MAYBE a week total. At least one of them is always broken and recently we haven’t had a single working elevator. Maintenance seems to not care less and we aren’t getting any sort of deduction from the price of our rent despite this ongoing inconvenience. Honestly even when the elevators are working it feels like I’m riding a death trap. Do not live here if you can avoid it.
Danielle Lewis: If you can help it, DO NOT live here. The sample rooms you tour look great, but once I moved in to my actual unit (the day before classes started!), there were bugs all over the kitchen floor, the AC was broken, and my blinds were broken in half. Two days later, our ice machine broke which flooded our entire kitchen and ruined our food in the freezer. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is bc the maintenance is prompt.
natalie young: DO NOT live here. We have a flea infestation and Valentine Commons could not care less. The fleas have been here for over two weeks and the exterminator will only come on Wednesdays. The exterminator has come once and did nothing as the fleas are still persistent in our apartment. My roommates and I cannot live in our apartment that we paid for because the exterminator does not know how to do his job. We have to be moved out by Saturday and cannot go into our apartment without at least 30 fleas jumping on your legs to bite you. We call the property manager Josh multiple times a day and he just says that it is our fault that we brought the fleas into the apartment and that we should be vacuuming more. Thank you, Josh for the bottle of raid that you gave us-- it is helping so much to kill the thousands of fleas!!!! Additionally, the whole apartment building smells awful, the parking deck is always so full, the elevators are always broken, and the trash chute is overflowing at all times. The ceiling is moldy, there is no pantry, no lights in the bedrooms, the dishwasher does not clean dishes, and the washing machine only works sometimes. I NEVER WANT TO COME BACK TO THIS BUILDING EVER AGAIN.
Kelsi Waldon: Do not recommend.1. The bugs are insane2. The washing machine ruined about $150 worth of my clothing, left spots all over them!! (this one makes me the most mad)3. Everything breaks.. had to put in 3 work orders for the fridge and 4 for the thermostat. It is a cozy little apartment but not really worth the money.
Brady Jessup: DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! You can find plenty of other places for the same price with a much better experience. Countless things in this apartment do not work and when you try to get maintenance to fix the issues they take way longer than they should leaving you inconvenienced. Living here one year will show you how nasty the place really is. Wish I would’ve read and listened to these reviews before signing here.
Isabella: yeah maybe just live elsewhere.edit: i have bed bugs
Sean Snively: You get what you pay for. The apartments are small but it’s near campus. It’s party/pregame central here so that’s good or bad depending on the person. I was able to study Computer Science for two years, so there plenty of time for studying.

Stanhope Student Apartments: what do users think?
Champis Michael: Great location in walking distance of 5 mins from the main campus of NC State. The building and facilities are new and the staff and the organization of the residence is amazing. A lot of events for the students and clean common places!
Laith Khasawneh: DO NOT RENT HERE. As a preface, any 5 star reviews you see are because they literally bribe residents to leave 5 stars on Google. For example: “leave 5 stars to enter this raffle, etc.” They will milk every dime from you, absolute thieves. Was charged a cleaning fee a YEAR after moving out due to my roommates cleaning fee, who stayed the year after I left. Despite tirelessly cleaning, scrubbing, and vacuuming every inch of my room space, I was still charged and robbed by Stanhope. Now they’re sending debt collectors for a charge that should’ve never happened in the first place. My experience here was also quite awful, with the hallways reeking of weed, alcohol, and throw up every weekend. Do not rent here, much better options on hillsborough st for their insane prices.
Chloe Chrisco: Love living here! The location is very ideal, about a 5 minute walk to the main part of campus, as well as the bus stop for centennial. Everyone here is very welcoming, the staff and the residents. I’ve been here for almost a year and planning on staying here at my time at NC State.
Sami Atassi: Nice amenities and spectacular maintenance team.
Ashton Walthall: I have absolutely loved living at Stanhope! The community is amazing and there is always something to do. I feel safe living in this apartment and would recommend to my friends!!
Ella Taylor: Moving to Stanhope was such a great decision, the office is great, the management cares, and maintenance is good. They actually have events for residents and is a good living environment.
Carmela Mangini: Love this place!
Alexa Russell: I have enjoyed living here! I absolutely love how close it is to campus!! I love all of the amenities!
Nicole Bilodeau: Great place to live. Very interactive apartment community. Front desk and maintenance are always fast and reliable and helpful. However, rent is ver expensive for a student salary and some amenities need to be updated or better managed.
Emma Lodge: It’s a good place to live. Maintenance responds in a timely manner. Has good amenities and good staff! Package room is really nice. The appliances could be better.
Sadie Underwood: Maintenance crew is prompt and successful whenever requested!
Nicole Nadeau: Heidi in the front office was so helpful in deciding what apartment would be best for me. She looked through all of the floor plans and told me where she thought I'd be happiest based on my lifestyle and preferences. She definitely made it easy to sign my lease with Stanhope.
Ashlin Austin: I really loved the community atmosphere at Stanhope! Everyone is so welcoming and the staff is super helpful and resourceful! I also love the location because everything on Hillsborough St. is within a short walk.
Robert Coles: My son lived there in 2021-22. Watch out for move-out charges. It seems one of their profit strategies is to overcharge at the end of a lease. We had to argue cleaning and painting fees for normal wear and tear. His roommate had charges waived for a common area they still wanted to charge us for. Thievery.....
Yoshi Sato: The location was phenomenal, the front desk was always staffed and ready to get you what you needed. The room was spacious and plenty of things to do on hilsborough. But of course, Cleaning and Wall repainting fees ended up coming my way even after already cleaning the room and moving out and it just stresses you out when you're back in class trying to do work and juggle this.
Mary McKnight: I have lived at Stanhope for a year now, and I love it for several reasons. The location is amazing. I can easily walk to classes or to go get food on Hillsborough Street. The study rooms and cyber cafe are so useful when I am trying to get homework done and study for an exam. Stanhope also hosts Free Food Fridays and provide food from places like Bojangles, Chick-fil-a, and Auntie Anne's. All of these things made me want to stay at Stanhope this year as well!
Aubrey McKay: Living here has been great. The common areas are always clean, the maintenance workers and staff are helpful and kind, and classes are right down the street. Go pack!
Penny Allen: Extremely easy move-in experience! Friendly staff/move-in day assistants
Greg Kedrov: Horrible management, never available, put boots on their residents cars, and have made my time at Stanhope a regrettable one.
Susan Eure: Very smooth process moving our daughter in today. All of the staff was extremely helpful, especially Ava. She helped her roommate when she locked herself out of her room! The carts were a great idea and saved us from making more trips.
Jalen Keith: Lived here for the 2021-2022 school year and loved it for the most part. The gym and study rooms were my favorite amenities! It was also great to be able to walk to classes since most of my classes were along Hillsborough. Great place to live!

The Wilde Raleigh Apartments: what do users think?
Gwen K: This place is cheap, but you get what you pay for. The internet goes out for days almost every month or two. Various bugs find their way in, roaches, large spiders, gnats. Things constantly break, doors have fallen off their hinges, the dishwasher has broken, the garbage disposal has broken. Frankly, maintenance is the only upside to this place. They seem to be the only ones who genuinely care about what happens and do their best to help out. There are so many more issues with this place that if I listed, would make this the longest review ever.Don't live here if you can afford elsewhere.
azariyah ty’rae: Kayla was super helpful. She answered all the questions we had & I feel more confident & comfortable with living here & I can’t wait to move into my new apartment !
Mallisha W: Julian was awesome! The location is perfect for work life balance and lots of shops close by.
Jacob Farmer: Cayla was very helpful and patient with the application process! Answered all of our questions and made the process very easy.
Sawyer: Cayla was such a great help and very polite. She has an answer for every question and makes it super easy here. I definitely recommend this complex based off the customer service alone. Not to mention the rooms and lay out look terrific
Matt Johnson: The worst experience I've ever had renting an apartment. Trash constantly overflowing from the one dumpster on site, desk staff that have never done anything to help me, mice in the walls, roaches on the floor, maintenance team can't consist of more than 3 people because that's all I've ever seen and maintenance requests take 3+ months before even getting acknowledged. The office recently switched to an inferior internet provider to save money and left the entire complex without internet for a month and a half because the job was not finished properly. When asked on fixing the internet, the office told us to call the internet company ourselves. When it was finally fixed I had to call and figure out on my own that the Wilde conveniently removed their ethernet support during the shift. The walls are so thin that there is no privacy between my roommates and I. I can hear the conversation of people on the sidewalk three floors below me. Surprise "rent plus" charges that you get automatically enrolled in. When asked if I can be removed from whatever "rent plus" is they told me to call their 3rd party company to resolve it myself. Predatory lease renewal offers and badgering with veiled threats that rent will go up if you don't act immediately. Giant shipping containers taking up multiple parking spaces year round. I've been receiving mail from at least 8 other people who used to live here, packages constantly go missing. To top it all off, threats from the front office of additional fines for things such as leaving trash outside your door because the dumpster has been full for over 2 weeks, not immediately responding to insurance or policy changes, parking in front of your building during a surprise maintenance project etc. Complete lack of communication, respect, or awareness out of everyone except those three maintenance guys. Those guys are cool and I feel bad for them.Update: The office conveniently lost my renewal request, never informed me, and attempted to extort a $200 rent increase out of me. I've signed a new lease elsewhere and advise that no one ever consider for a second living here.
Jenna Larcara: This entire place is a scam. Before I even moved in, the leasing office sent me the wrong lease 3 times and incorrectly led me through the relet process which I later found out they aren’t even supposed to do. They charged me the incorrect amount of rent twice and when I refused to pay the additional $200 they charged me, they threatened to evict me while ignoring my calls and e-mails for three days trying to resolve the issues. They make this place seem ‘all inclusive’ with the rent and then charge you $30 for amenities & $9 for just using the payment portal every month pushing the rent closer to $800 than the promised $750. I was forced to clean up after a roommate moved out and left all her belongings because the management refused to handle it. I was also forced to live in unsanitary conditions riddled with fruit flies & mold because of a dirty roommate who refused to clean after herself. After battling with this for months I asked the leasing office for help MULTIPLE TIMES and they did nothing. Be prepared for all of your emails to management to be unread and unanswered. You only get answers when you go in person or call but even when you call there’s a high chance you’ll be ignored or given attitude for asking too many questions. I physically couldn’t stay at this place any longer so I found a subleaser for my unit. NOW, the leasing office is trying to charge her hundreds of dollars extra for costs that they refuse to explain and continue to give different answers about depending on who in the leasing office you talk to. This place is a disease and they don’t care about their residents. They didn’t care that I was living in filth everyday from my roommates unrelenting mess, that they were charging me hundreds of dollars extra, or that they nearly messed up the subleaser which was my one opportunity out of this.
Serena O'Hara: The support from the Wilde during the application and lease process has been very helpful. It has been a blessing working with Julian. He has shown great patience with me and all of my questions.
Jabria Bynum: Do not apply here it’s a lie n setup n trash, management and workers are scheming
Amy Maguire: I have not lived in good apartments while attending state, but this one is by far the worst. From brown water seeping up through our sink and dishwasher and causing a minor flood and leaving our kitchen inoperable for weeks, to broken pipes causing toilet water to flood two rooms, and currently mold in the AC system that makes the apartment near unlivable.Maintenance has gotten better over the course of the year, they usually at least show up in a day or two. In that time, however, never once have they actually fixed the issue the first time they're in the apartment. If you want anything actually fixed wait a few weeks at least, and don't expect the "solution" to work the first time.To top off everything else, beyond the constant disasters from shoddy management and poor building upkeep, when I moved in the fire extinguishers hadn't been inspected in over a decade. Honestly that should tell you everything you need to know.Don't bother with this place. The rooms may look nice but management can't even follow fire code half the time, much less maintain their buildings.
Matthew Harbour: Overall seemed like a pretty good option. Kearah did a great job explaining the details regarding the apartment and answered any question we had. The New Management team looked motivated to make the complex more suitable for its residents.
Vaun: Kearah is amazing and professional! I appreciate her patience and understanding of all of my questions. I also asked about some of the reviews that people left. The property manager is also nice and answered all of my questions. I’m looking forward to moving in!
Kourtney Meyer: The staff is so kind, helpful, and friendly. I cannot recommend them enough! Whether it is short term or long term, do not hesitate to make the move!
Ashlynn Goff: The wilde seems like such a nice place to live! I personally have not lived here however I visited a friend who lives here and her place was so cute!! The appliances were new and I can’t wait to go back and hangout by the pool!
Sophia Leydon: Ever since new management took over, it’s been great! The new maintenance team has been super quick and fulfilling work orders and has been doing a great job. The office staff I’ve interacted with have been nice and helpful!
Twinkle Katta: I would give 0 stars if I could, tried to pay my rent but the office would not get back to me until the late fees were added then blamed it on me. Do not live here
Janiyah Williams: If I could give this place, zero stars, I would from the apartment complex being overrun with trash and roaches. The leasing office is full of disrespectful children and when you try to come in and talk to them about an issue that you’re having they call the cops on you, so don’t even bother trying to go to the leasing office because they won’t handle your issues though. Ignore your phone calls and emails. They overcharge for rent paying almost $800 for a four bedroom apartment and they constantly charge you for things that you did not sign up for please don’t ever apply here. It is a waste of time and money.
Tyler Ross: Kearah was great, gave me hope to finding a new home, love the hospitality.
Rosa Sickenberger: Kearah was incredibly kind, clear, and helpful throughout my time here. She answered questions thoroughly and made me feel excited about living here next year!
Wise _: Kearah was amazing! She had outstanding energy and an extremely positive attitude. Her objective was to guide me and she excelled at it. She did great with the tour and answered all questions and concerns I had about the housing. Gorgeous apartments with great service, I can’t wait to move in!
Emora Snipes: Kearah is such an amazing leasing agent ! Very friendly & patient ! I loved her .

Centennial Village Student Housing: what do users think?
Tomaria Oneil: I Just Want To Give A Big SO To Monique In The Leasing Office!! She Is The Best And Help Get Things Done ASAP!
Isiah Davis: The front desk staff has been awesome since the new shift in leadership. Since the past two months it has been a whole shift in energy and hospitality. I especially want to highlight Miss Pridgen for her assistance through out the process and going the extra mile to assure I had everything I needed in the apartment. The helpfulness says a lot about her and centialridge sincerely Thank you
Campbell: I wouldn’t recommend living here. When I first moved in, there were tons of flies in our apartment. The first month of rent only covered two weeks since my move in date was in the middle of the month. Also, when you request maintenance, they give you no notice as to when they will be stopping by. The maintenance guy walked into my room while I was still sleeping and started berating me because my roommates left their trash bags outside our apartment door.
Brandon Renteria: Extremely friendly staff, willing to go above and beyond to help!
caiou osterhoudt: Not a good apartment at all, you can't even get help from the front office during their open hours on a phone call!!
Kierra Wilson: I Love living here I would highly recommend for anybody to live here. My old apartment complex had a fire they help a group of us out by taking us in open arms. I haven’t had any issue with them they fast with the maintenance request, they very respectful.
Rj Mitchell: you are so right about this bad place to live .
Maegan: Absolutely awful place to live, trash pilled In the parking lot, maintenance will just walk into your house without much notice, and at least one thing is broken at all times. Seriously had a man standing in front of me while I was in pajamas and underwear, totally caught off guard and humiliated because he let himself in to look at the air filter. Prices go up every year, office staff is patronizing to renters and refuses to accept any responsibility for any safety issues or privacy violations. Not to mention they absolutely love finding new ways to charge new fees. Wherever you decide to live, don't pick here.I hate leaving bad reviews, but I feel like I should at least warn anyone looking for housing.
Liu Queena: DONOT LIVE HERE! I’ve lived here for 4 years, and it’s totally disappointed. The only reason I’m still here is because my roommates and I are tired of moving. But if you still have the chance to choose an apartment, please definitely avoid here. The office does nothing except for charging rent and increasing price every year. I have lost my packages several times, and they did nothing, not even answering my email or phone calls. I don’t know what they do everyday. Very disgusting, awful, and useless service. Don’t waste your money here! I would like to give 0 star if Google allows.
Zoe Winslow: Living here was a nightmare. Management was extremely unhelpful. One of my roommates had her boyfriend living with her, he was there constantly, even when she wasn’t, and was constantly high and very disruptive. They would have loud fights in the middle of the night, he even broke her door slamming it. One night he asked me if he could bring a gun into the apartment, and when I asked management to help they said they would find her another suite but then did nothing. Management even denied the legitimacy of my claims, saying that I had no proof. Absolutely no thought or respect is given to residents. The appliances barely work. The rooms are often still dirty when you move in from the previous resident. There is constantly broken glass in the parking lot, and they will take any opportunity to charge you an extra fee. Terrible place to live. So glad to be leaving.
Y C: To be honest, I have never given a bad comment to any place on google, this is the first time. Please get rid of living here. They gave your apt's key to cleaners, painters, and did not tell you in advance. So don't be surprised if a random person shows up at your home. By the way, those maintenance people who grabs drinks from your fridge, just like at their own place. I have talked about these things with office people, they told me, no one would take your stuff. So helpful.
Taurus Luo: The rent fees are expensive and the facilities are not good enough for the price. The internet connection is so poor. Each time when there’s a rain the WiFi connection becomes unstable and “there’s no internet connection“ four times a month. Within half of a year, the whole apartment run out of the power twice! Living here is a kind of suffer. You pay for a poor life.
Richa Shukla: Very outdated appliances with almost no community amenities. Wifi is constantly out every now and then which is a hassle. The only good thing is its location (very convenient for NCSU students), and inclusion of everything in rent with no extra charge for additional utilities. But they like to charge you for trivial things.
沈鱼: Living here is an unpleasant experience for me. First is its expensive price. As an old apartment with no furniture, its price increased year by year until the COVID-19, and the free public facilities such as a gym or swimming pool were all located in another apartment of their company. Second is its terrible management. After I lived for a year, my two roommates decided to move to a cheaper and larger apartment nearby because they couldn't accept the high price. However, due to the impact of the COVID-19, the apartment failed to find new roommates for me. After I lived alone for half a year, the apartment suddenly told me that I MUST move to another room to save their maintenance expenses, and I don't want to put in the energy to move all of my furnitures is the only reason I hadn't moved before. When I was forced to contact my new roommates and get everything ready to move away, they told me that they had found two new roommates for me, and they told me again that I was FORBIDDEN to move. At the same time, my friends have encountered noise and littering problems, and the manager didn’t help them at all, instead let them handle it themselves.
J P: Horrible internet service. Internet is down almost every week. We all have online classes and many other school/work related obligations. We can’t afford to not have internet, especially during days like today where the internet has been down for almost an entire day.
Drip Mas: Internet has been out for nearly 18 hours so far. I have missed 3 classes so far as well as two important meetings. This always happens here, if you want proper internet PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE. After living here for 2 years, I will not be resigning my lease.
Bull City Elite: Nice and clean community. Britt and Brenda are very helpful and informative.
Mahabbah aka miss Raleigh: Nice and quiet and clean!
Penny Chen: Clean and safety

Lakeview Hall - Wolf Ridge Apartments: what do users think?
kyle: fancier than most dorms but still dorms
Bryce Hosseini: Head and shoulders better than any of the student housing on Main Campus. Convenient access to everything on Centennial Campus. 3-4 minute walk to Hunt Library, even less than that to the On The Oval cafeteria and the fitness center. Quite close to the Farmers' Market as well. Wolfline buses provide service between campuses for free.
Anastasia Egorova: Lakeview has the best view and vending machines.

Nazmul Ehsan: NCSU food pantry
Nathan Blackmon: Feed the Pack is located inside this place. Once a week I get free food, tokens for a Place at the table, it costs me nothing. I give away said tokens to people I feel that need it or treat me nicely. I give lots of food away that I receive there. It is great that they offer this place. I have read that nearly twenty percent of the student body is homeless. Thanks cannot be said enough.
Lauren Kohler: I love this area on the NCSU main campus! It is very quiet but there is always activities going on! For instance, people play a lot of frisbee, soccer, and volleyball here! There is also tables and many shady places here if you get too hot. Not too mention, hammock poles if that’s your deal!

Village Green Student Housing: what do users think?
Savannah Simon: So far my experience with the leasing office has been very poor. Communication has been unorganized and in different instances contacting the leasing staff, I’ve received conflicting answers to my questions. I moved in and wasn’t told I had more forma to sign until I personally visited the office to request maintenance. In fact, I had been explicitly told that no more information was needed from me. Additionally, maintenance is slow and hasn’t addressed my concern in almost two weeks since I put in the requests. There has been no apology from the leasing team during this time from the difficulties I’ve encountered since moving in. Luckily I am only living here for a short time, but I would not recommend this complex to anyone unless you’re looking for additional stress on top of student or working life. I’ve lived at several “student” apartment complexes before but this has definitely been the most unfavorable experience.I have tried emailing multiple times, but only received a response from leasing staff here after posting a negative review. I work full time and cannot stop by the office during the week. I should be able to receive decent customer service without taking time out of my day to speak in person.
Damien “Dame” Jones: Absolutely atrocious staff and complex , no communication whatsoever and lack of urgency for repairs , overpriced for the amount you get. I would avoid at all cost if you respect your time and money.
Lauren Feltz: This is one of the few off campus student complexes in the area where you can expect to pay between $700-800 a month and not live in roach infested concerning unsafe conditions. Probably the best bang for your buck if you’re not in a place to shell out more for something nicer closer to Hillsborough St.I’ve lived here for a year now and despite the value this place provides, it doesn’t come without it’s qualms- visitor parking is extremely limited, the valet trash they make you pay for monthly is rarely picked up on time, the apartments themselves (at least the base level non upgraded ones) are not fancy and will likely have appliances that function at a limited capacity (ex: my apartment’s fridge consistently leaks and our microwave looks like it’s been through some emotionally damaging trauma, the fan in my bathroom doesn’t work at all and never has). The front office employees generally have IDGAF attitudes unless they’re trying to get you to sign something and do little to resolve concerns with missing mail pertaining to the lockers they have here to pick up packages- in fact, I try and get anything I’m concerned about the safety of sent somewhere else to ensure the leasing office doesn’t lose it. The dumpsters overflow a lot but it’s generally due to the fact that trash needs to be picked up and simply hasn’t yet. The shuttle that goes to campus as well as the pool are frequently down or closed, so if you’re going to sign a lease here I wouldn’t do so for the shuttle or use of the pool. Look into other places if you don’t have a car and will need to be able to access campus without one. I don’t take the shuttle for these reasons but some who do seem to find it convenient when it is in operation. Some of these issues come with the territory of relatively “inexpensive” off-campus student housing. Positives include that maintenance is fairly decent, they will come when something needs to be fixed (our AC had issues and my drain was clogged) and are nice. Noise will always be a thing with apartments, especially ones catering to college students, but from what I’ve heard and experienced, VG is not nearly as crazy as other complexes in the area. The gym is nice and well maintained, I tend to go when it’s quiet and find that it’s less intimidating and less of a hassle than going to NCSU’s Carmichael. It’s convenient that Food Lion is right down the road but if you’re after consistently good produce I’d try the one on Advent Ferry Rd. VG does organize some community events to try and make the complex feel more communal. They occasionally host giveaways or seasonal stuff like an Easter egg hunt, which I appreciated. Not a fan of the rent increase for the 2023 school year, seems a bit far fetched to charge nearly $100 more for your baseline 4x4- but I did some shopping around and couldn’t find anything comparable without paying more somewhere else or settling for somewhere with a lesser reputation.Overall, I enjoy the proximity to Centennial and will probably stay here until graduation unless I can find a better deal for my money elsewhere.
Olivia: I am a NCSU student and have signed for living here for Fall 2023 to Fall 2024. I feel like VGA is one of the best of the options for off-campus housing!! The maintenance and utilities team of VGA is a big highlight here! The maintenance team always responds and is fast, kind and respectul. The team at the front is very kind as well! I like the Lux package delivery system and have never lost a delivery or Grubhub delivery. The gym is also very clean and nice!Otherwise, the valet trash is understaffed sadly and doesn't come when they say, and we have the occasional cockroach and carpet beetle in our kitchen and bathroom. We have learned to deter the pests so it is livable though, but I don't think we will ever fully get rid of them. The pest control team that you can request at the front desk does not come so if you want pest control you would have to order it yourself. If you have a pet, my experience is that my roommate has a cat and the cat will pee on the floor sometimes. We have steam-vac-ed the carpet and the smell is still something that is almost constantly noticed. Considering that, I would not recommend living here if you're bringing a pet because the floors are carpeted (except the kitchen and entrance)! Pet accidents build up and are impossible to fully clean. That's just my opinion, though.
Eric Blackwell: This place has absolutely amazing staff. Very attentive. My daughter was so nervous as this was the first time living away from my wife and I. Her having a place to live she could call her own combined with the way the staff matched her with like minded roommates made the transition easy peezy. Jessica helped us through the entire process from start to finish. Her boss Linda was also very down to earth and helpful. My daughter had the mom vibe from her which was comforting. As they say these days 10 out of 10 we highly recommend!
Olivia Howell: Yeah honestly I'm not one to leave a bad review but some changes need to be made about this place. Every time I have had an issue with packages, mail, etc. staff wasn't helpful. I'm pretty sure some of the stuff in the lease wouldn't hold up in a court of law. Trash people never come. I don't mind taking out my own trash but I shouldn't be paying for a monthly service that doesn't do anything. I'm not blaming the employees, I'm sure they're doing their best, but they are just understaffed. It's pretty obvious that the complex itself cares about profit over people. The cherry on top was the fact that they threw out one of my packages cause it went to the wrong place, not even 24 hours after it arrived. I was planning on moving out of Raleigh anyway, but I definitely won't be resigning here. It's getting 3 stars cause it's at least livable!
Jordan Rosbottom: They care very little about properly addressing problems. The staff has now held our entire apartments mail 3 separate times for over two weeks, we have had multiple maintenance requests that took 1+ months to complete, they just very much so seem unwilling to help. As I’m writing this I have not received my mail that was shipped off over three weeks ago. Hopefully they correct this issue so I can edit this review, but as of now the staff is not attentive to resident issues.
LaRaye: UPDATE: All of former friendly staff quit. New staff are not friendly with bad attitudes. High turnover rate. Volleyball court grows weeds. BB court has ripped net. Drunk students usually vomit on BB court, empty beer cans and bottles, break windows, toss stuff from windows. Dog poop usually every where. Pool always closed from glass or debris. Residents leave trash all around. Drive really fast and it looks good otherwise it's an expensive dump.
Johnson broussard: Friendsgiving was great. The food was awesome
PB H: Depending on what you are looking for Village green is a great place to settle. Not just for college students but a good number of graduates come here to.
Corryn Barnes: Always friendly and has great events
Israel Chavarria: As a student at NCSU, the amenities and proximity to campus is perfect for the cost of living here. So far my experience with the staff has been more than pleasant as they have always made their best efforts to assist me. I would definitely recommend Village Green!
Victoria Adeniji: This is a good place to live in, I must say and I can recommend village green for anyone
Maxime Thai: It’s a great rate with a maintenance staff that gets to my work orders really fast, which I’m super appreciative of. Also conveniently located off the 40 and near the farmer’s market.
Cory Gause: Move in day was AUGUST 12th but because our apartment was being renovated for the lux apartment we had to wait till SEPTEMBER 5th the apartment still wasn’t done when they said it would be SO we had to wait another 2 weeks till (SEPTEMBER 19th) & They gave us 3 options while we waited and one of them was to credit the rent for 2 months so they credited my rent for A full month of august when mind u I wasn’t able to move in in august then they credited the second month for a full month of September now they’re saying i have to pay Octobers rent Meanwhile im thinking the credit was gone be for the two months ahead meaning October & November Now i just feel like im stuck between a rock & a Hard place because i been spending money buying stuff for the house and barely have any money and i dont feel i was Accommodated for anything confused on why they paid the rent for the past months if we wasnt here till September 19th and we was originally supposed to move in Aug 12th
Erin Poteat: The apartments overall are very nice. However, they are understaffed which has caused some issues when our unit needed things done. I do like the general environment as student apartments though.
Logan Flowers: The pool is only open on rainy days.
Maggie Goode: First of all the people at the office could care less about you as an individual. They do nothing but lie. They hit you w a, “we'll email u, wats ur name?” And NEVA email u. They had the pool closed all august. Don’t get me started on the roaches. Mildew scent. All around horrible and it makes it worse because they don’t seem at all concerned about their residents. One lady from the office told me out her mouth she finally did something about a problem Me and my other roomie was having bc she got “tired” of hearing abt it. As if we weren’t “tired” of telling them our issues and they steadily doin nothing about it. Yeahhh 10/10 DO NOT recommend
Stefania Marroquin: Get ready to sign all your rights away when you sign a lease with Village Green. The management team has the right to enter your apartment without notice whenever they feel like it. I came home from work to all the furniture switched out and my belongings thrown across my room on the floor. This time I was “lucky” because they gave a 1 hour notice before entering. Prior to this, they have made other changes in my apartment and gone through my belongings without any notice at all. They also started implementing more fees and will force you to sign documents stating you are okay with paying absurd fees for move in/move out/“amenities”, etc. The lack of communication between the office and residents is awful.
Yifan Zhi: Stolen mails, AC breaks once a month, power jumps every week, tubes leak everywhere, living experience doesn't even worth half the renting rate they ask.
Pretty Mulatto: Read FULLY. Mail THEFT, Non-existent maintenance and REPEATED FIRES at this location!!My address was 2111 Thesis Circle Apt 206!!There is a woman who works in the leasing office. She is about 5 ft even or 5'3 in at the most. She weighs about 240 lb and sports her hair in a mini-afro. This woman would always sign for my packages to receive my mail. Whenever I would go to the office to inquire about my mail, she would always tell me that it was being sent back. Needless to say, She was STEALING my mail. After a month of living there, my washing machine malfunctioned. After the spin cycle, the water would not drain. I had to wring out my clothing by hand before putting it in the dryer. I filled out a maintenance request. Maintenance came, temporarily removed the washing machine from the apartment, used a vacuum to remove the water and brung back the exact same broken machine. This happened two more times. Both times, maintenance returned the same malfunctioning washer machine. The last time I complained, the broken washing machine sat inside the apartment, full of water, for about 2 weeks. I'm sure you can imagine the smell of the apartment after two weeks, dirty linen and still water. Nonetheless, the office staff FINALLY decided to just replace the washer machine. After replacing the washing machine, the maintenance man left his trash (including large cardboard boxes and the vacuum cleaner he used to remove the water from the previous machine) in the breezeway.Around 10p.m on a weeknight I was in bed, just having finished a Unit Test online. Suddenly, I heard abrupt banging on my door. Assuming my roommates were having girl problems, I locked myself in my bedroom.Approximately five minutes later, I hear the fire alarm going off. I hear people outside screaming "EVERYBODY GET THE **** OUT. THE BUILDING IS ON FIRE!! GET THE **** OUT!!" I get up and throw a night gown on and open my bedroom door, and I can't see ANYTHING. EVERYTHING was just filled with smoke. Frantically and blindly running through my apartment, I made it to my front door and STILL COULDN'T SEE. Finally, I successfully opened the door and it's even MORE smoke. I ran right through a fire. Literally, at one point I could see the flames. I jumped over something and made it all the way outside.Safely outside, I realized the cause of the fire was the machine and debris that maintenance left in the breezeway right outside my apartment. Negligence at its finest considering the fact they're remodeling the entire rear building due to a massive fire that displaced several people!! I moved out.Just Google "Village Green Student Housing Fire" and you'll see what I'm referring to!!I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone!
