Michelle Pope: I absolutely love the apple pie apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, normally I get them from the Briar Creek location however, this time they were closed so we gave this Cary Location a shot (1hr drive for us) I purchased 8 apples and every single one fell apart when cut extremely disappointing considering how much I spent. They have never crumbled like this before and I buy 8 of them every other week!

Tbird 66: The shining star of a bad week. The apple pie caramel apple is exceptional and never disappoints. There's a lot of other varieties to pique your interest. Not to mention all the shapes and flavors of chocolate.

Dan Shapiro: Decided to try out this chocolate factory on the strong advice of L’s review 3 months ago. L bought hard toffee and “served it as dessert at a dinner party”. It was further described that “not one of us could break it with our teeth”. As a lover of toffee and up for a real challenge, excitedly, I hurried my wife and teething toddler to the car, and sped out to buy some. Although, delicious, we were disappointed that none of us had difficulty biting into the toffee. Lucky for me the visit was not for naught. Rocky Mountain had Valentine’s day decorations in festive fashion- stirring my memory just in the nick of time. My wife was immensely elated that I remembered Valentine’s Day, and was so visually seething with anticipation in getting to the factory to buy her a dozen truffles for Valentine’s. Rocky Mountain the real wing man.

L: The owner/manager refused to refund me any money after I bought a product that was so hard it was completely inedible. I served it as dessert at a dinner party and not one of us could break it with our teeth…. Clearly, something was wrong with it as we had all had it and enjoyed it before at other events. Still - no refund, no in-store credit, nothing. This is incredibly poor business practice!

The size of the candy is huge. A little goes up very long way. Glad to have found this gem! Oh and the people are super nice. They make the experience very special.

Susan Bolling: Had a field trip here with our son’s 3rd grade class today. Amanda and her team were absolutely wonderful with the students - patient, knowledgeable, and entertaining! The shop is gorgeous, lots of variety and countless ideas for sweet gifts - the gift boxes are beautiful but you can also purchase a la carte from the cases. The fudge is made in-house and it’s delish. A delightful experience. :)

Serena Kamdar: I came in to the Cary (Waverly Place) store on January 13th, 2022 for the first time. Everything was neatly organized and the displays were great. When you enter the store you will see an informational paper describing the treats the store has to offer including pictures and detailed descriptions. They also have a hand sanitizer bottle too which I thought was a huge plus.I just stopped in on the spur of the moment to pick up some truffles etc. for part of a birthday celebration. Kelsey was the employee that assisted me. She was very patient with me and answered all my questions even when the store got busier. She even wrapped my chocolate gift box with two ribbon colors and gave me her opinion on which colors would go best together. She was also very polite and understanding.I stopped by the next day and Alexia/Lexie was working. She was also very friendly and helpful.I would give this place more than five stars if I could. One thing I would say to their customers, is to please be patient with their orders, especially the orders that are made in house like the apples. It takes time to get things right. I know this because I love cooking and consider myself a gourmet 👩‍🍳 and am still learning though.Hats off to them!!

Alexis: Stopped by around 3pm on Valentine’s Day and there was a line out the door but I was in and out within 20 minutes! I had decided last minute to go to a local shop and it did not disappoint, my boyfriend and I had to put the box of truffles away in order to not ruin our dinner. Harold Meder: A huge selection of superb chocolates. You can pick and choose to create the perfect box of chocolates, minus the surprises that you wish you had not bitten into. The friendly, knowledgable staff takes time to help you with your selections. The prices are double, but perfection is worth it and the gift wrapping is free. Pickup your service number just outside the door before you enter and time you visit carefully, else you may have a long wait for service.

John Hanken: Love this place, classic fancy chocolates made locally and with great quality. No mass produced boxes with stuff you maybe don't like, instead go here and build your own. Amazing, we buy lots of gifts here.
