Vernicia McDowell: I arrived at 12:45. They couldn't find my insurance for over 30 minutes... they forgot to add a zero in front. They didn’t even think to call my insurance company so I DID THEIR JOB FOR THEM AND CALLED….. they THEN SAID “we aren’t allowed to talk them them.” EXCUSE ME…. HUH? Even the Davis insurance guy told me to go to a different location. During this they told me I needed to wait an additional 1.5 hours because the doctor is going to lunch when he could've completed my 6 minute appointment. I get back and they are all rude to the point another client and I were BONDING over it. My toddler was exhausted because we were now there for 2 hours. We then take the exam and the first lady was amazing. The actual doctor, James Yarborough, was extremely not friendly. It was extremely uncomfortable as he was huffing and rolling his eyes because my toddler was clearly upset that we were in a eyeglasses doctor for now... 3 HOURS. I then get my prescription and they completely forgot to add the PD distance and asked me to COME BACK IN to get it if I wanted that information..... I was then put on hold for 35 minutes.Once I pickup my glasses I will NOT be back to this location as they are all over the place AND not friendly. NOT a good mix.

Well she sent him before me and I can guess why. I'm not happy. Just waiting. I agreed for a remote check up on the phone but she now tells me I can come in next week if I want. Why are they being so unprofessional !! I want to leave. Really.

Cindy Robbins: I really didn't know what to expect because this was the first time I've been to America's Best. I had frames and just needed lenses. Sharon greeted me as I walked in. Understood what I wanted and needed. Was very sweet and personable. Always smiling. Helped me decide what was best regarding insurance. She repaired my old frames and adjusted some that were for outdoor chores. I had a good experience. Can hardly wait for my glasses to come in. Sharon was a pleasure to work with.
A F: This is a terrible eye “doctor”… no actual dr on staff, rude employees, complete scam of a company with awful customer service. Avoid. Should be named “America’s Worst.”
Anna Roberts: Great experience! Jaleya, Sharon, and Chris were great. I was there later in the afternoon, so they were busy but I didn't feel rushed at all. They did a great job of giving everyone individual service and it took less time than I expected to get an eye exam and order contacts. I will be going back next year for my eye exam.

Lane BT: Me and my husband visited this place yesterday to look at eyeglasses for myself. The staff never offered to help me. I had heard good things about other locations so I thought I would check this place out. It was a disappointing experience. I won't be going back. I think I'll stick with dealing with my optometrist office. At least they care enough to help me.

Diane Hnath: Nope. Never again. I was 3 minutes late. I could have been an hour late wouldn't have made a difference. First being told my pupils are too small to take in enough light... Well then. Then while waiting hearing a woman waiting saying she's been waiting more than 2 hours for her exam. All appointments are virtual. Meaning you read off a screen. No way in anything are getting an accurate vision check on that note. I wound up walking out. I've never had an eye exam be an all day event. Ever. This was a first and won't try again

Gale Holm: I initially went in and bought a pair of sunglasses but I wasn’t really sure if I liked them that well. When I went back, five days later, the same associate that helped me the first time had no problem with me exchanging my sunglasses. She was helpful in assisting me to find a flattering pair and then she pointed out that they were having a sale. I ended up buying two pairs of sunglasses that I absolutely love.
sandra matias: I bought some sunglasses with the Protection plan and when I went to the the store to exchange they did not want to do anything that’s just bad service… they make you pay for the protection plan saying that when they are damaged they will fix it but when you go to the store they won’t do anything I recommend nobody to buy at this store. This is my second pair.

I had an issue with a pair of sunglasses and they did everything they could to make it right! I won't buy sunglasses anywhere else!

Tanya Wells (VidaWells): I will never shop at sunglasshut again. It has taken more than 10 days to simply get the money back on a gift card after placing a return. The in store location managers are unable to help and direct you to the online corporate phone line that in turn tells you to go to the store. I expending time (countless hours) and effort trying to simply get my rightful money back since I do not have a product anymore. Customer service at the call center is rude and constantly speaking over you as you simply try to explain that surely someone has the ability to actually solve a problem without taking 24 hours or 3-4 days to do so. I was told that the supervisor I spoke to could do "nothing else to resolve my issue", this is not "my issue" this is an issue within their corporation. I was told that if I was recording the call that she would have to hang up on me regardless of the fact that North Caroline law states that you may record conversations so long as one party approves (I am the one party approving). This is a huge issue and headquarters should actively work on solutions to their return process that is not "easy return" as per their website statement.

Brian Faircloth: The associate - Sarah - was quick to offer assistance, then allowed me the space to try on glasses. She then pivoted to other customers in the store and kept everyone in progress without making me (or anyone else, I imagine) feel neglected. Once I had made my selection, she conducted the transaction smoothly and quickly. I was in and out in no time, which is great.
Katze Love: Okay selection and the store employees are nice, but the wait to get inside is a bit annoying. Their current policy is only 4 people max inside at a time so there tends to be a queue formed and it can be a lengthy wait. It can also be cramped inside, as there is a sunglasses rack immediately adjacent to the cash register. If someone is checking out, you either can't look at the glasses their, or you are in their way and they have to stand back from the register. Staff was kind and helpful.
Explore Raleigh: My experience here reminds me why I'd rather buy sunglasses and things like this online. They sold me the pair "off the floor" instead of a brand new pair from the back. Bad policy in my mind. Won't be purchasing from here or any other sunglass hut again.

There was a sells guy when I got to the store he was really nice and kind, I was debating between two pairs of glasses, when this lady came out of nowhere, with the worst attitude, she almost bumped into me when trying to “clean the glasses” more like taking the glasses from me, when I was not even done. With that attitude she lost a $500 sell, I wouldn’t recommend coming to this store if this lady is there (the one with the arm tattoo), and if you are the manager or owner of this location and you are reading this, let me inform you that employees like her might be damaging your business and your sells overall, I would rather buy online or somewhere else than coming here again.
