IAMno.001: I live in the area for 5 years. Went to the playground with my son today and it was a horrible experience in the parking lot. Few guys came up to me to ask to move my car so they can play cricket. It’s a parking lot. They continued to be rude and taunt by saying they going to hit my car with their ball. “Give the nice car a straight shot.”Please let the community know it’s a clubhouse, pool, and play ground for kids. The parking lot is not a cricket lot.

Tara Olhoft: This is a very nice community pool. There are different areas to interest all swimmers. The slide is something I wish I could have had when I was a kid. The splash pool is great for toddlers. The shaded area in the middle is great for parents wanting to watch kids closely. The lap lane is perfect for those looking for exercise. The water sprays are refreshing.

Thomas: I only party rental company. And I frequent have clients that rent tables and chairs for this location. It's very beautiful inside an air-conditioned. And very large deep ceilings. There is a back door on a deck with a beautiful view of their extremely large pool. You have to be a member of this community to use this Clubhouse. From what I understand the price to rent the clubhouse is not very high. Although I have never rented here all my clients are very happy with this Clubhouse. We've been using it for the last four years.

Nathan Gregory: This is a pretty awesome pool for a community. I was invited as a guest. They keep the pool very clean and the complimentary water/juice cooler was a nice touch. I only wish there was a deep with a diving board. Though in lieu of this, I'm certain the giant swirly slide is a popular attraction for the neighborhood kids.

Nadia Kennedy Zdrojkowski: This is a beautiful community in itself. I relocated here from Florida I live in northwest Raleigh which was a middle class neighborhood where people try to act like they were a loose and better than everyone else. The neighbors were not friendly and people use their ring doorbells to spy on their neighbors instead of seeing who's at the door. The park village community is nothing like that. Unlike many of the other pools meet Park Village pool is relatively slow which is good because there's no overcrowding. Having said that when there are others there people are always friendly and welcoming. Saucy parents and children alike are kind and in regards to cleanliness people pick up after themselves more than you see at most community pools. The pool itself is clean and well-maintained. There are minimal crack along the edges and the bottom. There are plenty of places to sit and put your belongings. The bathrooms are clean and bathroom necessities. The deck is clean and the baby pool and area are also clean. The pool is a little smaller then I personally like but don't be deterred by that comment as there is plenty of room. There is always at least one lifeguard on duty. The lifeguards seem to be friendly. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because when they have things like Bingo night they Austin don't have a lifeguard sitting by the pool when there are still people swimming and I do not agree with that. If there are kids in the pool there should be a lifeguard or a sign saying that there is no lifeguard parent must accompany a I recieved your
Mark: Great little neighborhood pool. The Covid restrictions are annoying but I understand people's concern. I wish there was a water slide but overall its a good pool.

Josh Anderson: As a park village resident, the pool is free to use with home ownership. The pool is adequate, albeit a little dated. My main complaint being a parent of two little kids is that there isnt really a shallow section in the main pool. The options are kiddie/toddler pool (approximately 2.5") or the main pool (4.5" - 8" in some sections). My wife even has trouble in the main pool because she is short. As such, younger kids (3-6) who are not expert swimmers yet have to just sit on the steps or use floaties in the "shallow" end.It has a large lap swimming section that enables it to host swimming competitions for other neighborhood's teams. The pool also still has a diving board, which I think is a plus for when the kids get older and can swim a little better.The lifegaurds are very attentive and stay on schedule for the hourly adult swim/pool check.

J N: Fabulous facility! I cannot speak to the tennis area because i have never used it but the 2 pools are sparkling clean and well designed. The lifeguards and staff are courteous and professional. They create a safe environment that is fun for both families and fitness swimmers. Great water aerobics classes too.

4worldlovers: Located in Chatham County 30 miles west of downtown Raleigh, Jordan Lake State Recreation Area includes seven access areas that provide plenty of camping, boating, and swimming opportunities. Campers have more than 1,000 campsites at five accesses to choose from, whether they use a tent, trailer, or RV, and whether they camp with family, friends, or a group. The beautiful lake is one of the largest summertime homes of the bald eagle, and an observation platform makes for easy spotting of our national bird.

A privately owned marina near Crosswinds campground provides slips and storage, and fishing boat, kayak, and paddleboard rentals.
Entrance fees are charged per vehicle on weekends and holidays in April, May, and September, and daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The park is free to access for day use during the rest of the year. Fees are also charged for camping, certain event permits, and facility reservations.
Pets are allowed at the park and at campsites. They are not permitted on swim beaches or inside buildings. Pets must be on an attended leash of no longer than 6 feet at all times.
Park staff lead regularly scheduled interpretive programs that allow the public to gain perspective into what makes North Carolina state parks naturally wonderfully. Learning opportunities are available for all ages. Most events are free, though some may require pre-registration.

Friends of State Parks is a nonprofit citizen organization supporting, promoting, and advocating for the North Carolina State Parks system as a whole.
