#ToughAct2Follow Knight: Glad I didn't use this place. Walked in to have my jumpsuit taken in, and there was this couple complaining about how the seamstress totally ruined her dress. I asked another person about this place that was waiting in front of me, and they just shook their head as to tell me this tailor isn't good. I headed straight back out the door.
Sihui Ni: I am afraid I have to leave the first bad review of this tailor. I brought a For Love and Lemons tank there to shorten the straps, which should be an easy job. However, she did them unevenly, one is significantly longer than the other. I called them and they promised they can alter it to the same length to the longer side. But when I asked my BF to bring it back, they kept saying to my BF "are you sure your wife does not have uneven shoulders? You know, many women have that problem, and they actually want it this way." How ridicules! They finally did it again to the same length to SHORT side! I am very unhappy about the result! It is a $200+ tank!Service:Alterations

I recently took a jacket to a tailor close to me and had some patches sewn on - cost me more, the completion was later than promised, etc. I'm very, very pleased with turnaround on this particular "project" by A-1 Alterations given the complexity of working with a lined jacket this time. Outstanding! We had discussed during drop-off that I would likely lose function of a couple of pockets, and I was cool with that, but that didn't happen - all pockets are functional! I even left a couple other things when I left.

I came here, and the job was done within a day.The cost was only $3, and I failed to catch that A1 didn't take cards, so a customer behind me paid and refused to take a cash app. I'm very grateful to that person who saved me from a trip to the bank. The owner is nice and hardworking. The business is clean and presentable. I don't know if I'm ready to take any extremely advanced tailor jobs here since many places also offer dry cleaning and pressing. I didn't see this as an option here.The clothing pieces are placed on a hanger, but no garment bags are placed over any clothing hanging on the racks. So, be prepared to walk out with clothes on the hanger without covering. I guess this may be a luxury not provided that keeps A1 prices lower than its competitors. Dr. Tim Swank: I needed a zipper replaced on an old (but favorite) sports jacket & had almost decided to discard it. I stopped in without an appointment to see if an inexpensive repair could be made. Mr Vurucuoglu stopped what he was doing and promptly repaired it in just minutes. I was really impressed! The coat is now as good as new! VERY reasonable charge for his efforts! Autumn Dunn: One of the best tailors I've ever had!I brought in 9 different clothes. Wool and linen skirts, slacks and pants, dresses of a variety of material. He not only gave fantastic advice on the best way to have them fit me, but even reworked a few of the pieces to fit my frame perfectly. They came out exactly how I envisioned them and exactly how he pinned them!The prices were extremely fair (I averaged around $50-60 a piece, some being way more difficult than others! And we're talking almost a complete reworking of half of the clothing!). Every piece looks like a couture designer item now and it was absolutely worth it!He's dedicated to customer service, and his expertise in designing and making his own clothes makes him by the far the best tailor I've ever met. There isn't a single article of clothing he can't tailor to fit exactly what you're looking for. Highly reccomend him!!

Delora Murphy: I highly recommend Jenny Tailor. My daughter ordered a prom dress two weeks before prom. When it arrived, of course it didn't fit. I called Jenny and she said she could have it done by Friday. My daughter went in for fittings, and I picked up the dress Friday. It fit perfectly! I really appreciated her willingness to do the tailoring with 5 days notice, and she did a fantastic job.
elizabeth cintron: Can resize T-shirts for a cheap price! I needed 4XL changed to XS which is a drastic difference in size. I won’t state the exact price as many factors can influence a price quote but I will say it was significantly less than the quotes I received from other tailors in town (and there are some who are unable to resize clothing altogether). Done quickly as well (1-2 weeks by the time I picked up).

I was disappointed and appalled at what the repair ended up looking like. I didn’t want to be a Karen so I took my skirt home and decided to undo the work that Jenny did and give it a try myself. I have zero experience repairing any kind of garment, but I figured anything I did even at my worst would likely look better.The pictures I uploaded with this review show her repair with the tulle bunched up and sewn together, and my attempt at the repair.I’m sure she’s an amazing seamstress, but if you need specialty fabric repaired, this is definitely not the place to go.3* rating because she was kind, quick, and wore a mask. Ultimately it was mostly my fault because I gave her the okay to do it, even though it looked wrong.Service:General repairs

Bailey Murad: If I could give less stars I would… the absolute worst experience at a tailor that I’ve EVER had. It took her 20 minutes to acknowledge me when I walked in even after we made eye contact multiple times. It took so long was on my phone texting my boss bc I was going to be late getting back to work and she said you need to get off your phone multiple times saying it was rude. During the fitting multiple people called and she told them to go somewhere else calling them rude and said she would call the cops on them. While she was on the phone I notches there was a dead ROACH in one of the garment bags with a dress. She also told me that if the hem was wrong when I picked it up that it would be my fault not hers?? I left after an hour for a SMALL adjustment on ONE dress. I went to pick up my dress and she charged more than I’ve ever been charged at alterations and I asked for a receipt for expense purposes and she wrote the total on a blank sheet of notebook paper.Service:Alterations

The lady told me everything would be ready by today, Wednesday, and only the romper was done. Completely upset by the service, as there was barely a service done at all. She didn’t charge me and for good reason. She told me to bring them back to finish, which I won’t be doing. Beware, please take your alterations elsewhere.Service:Alterations
J R: BEWARE!! DO NOT GO HERE!! Took 2 months! The lady botched my wedding dress. I asked for a simple stitch and she added these ugly flowers and when I asked to have them removed she cut into the lace. I now have to replace the upper fabric myself bc another place doesn’t have enough time. She’s crazy!! Says she understands your wishes and then does completely different! Don’t take your clothes here. BEWARE!!

It originally belonged to my great grandmother, having been purchased in the 50s or 60s. I got it back today with a new lining and the original tag, which had fallen off, sewn back on. The lining looks and feels great, and it's amazing to be able to wear my coat without worrying about damaging it!THANK YOU!!!!
nona nona: I had great experience with JD, the lady she works there, know the job, really an expert on design from scratch with affordable price, quick and fast, communication and listen to her costumer. I always go to her, highly recommended this place. I gave her the material and just showed her a pictures of multiple dresses, she designed it for me with in few days because I was need to my friend wedding party. billy quick: I got my suit tailored here within in 2 days, as I had a deadline, and it turned out great! Only gripe is that I wasn't told when it would be ready and I wasn't called when it was finished, so I showed up an hour before close on the last day and thankfully it was finished.

Chassidy Hall: Giving them 2 stars because I went to pickup my clothing on the day they indicated it would be ready and the store was shut down during their normal business hours for 2 hours in the middle of the day. I drove from Fuquay Varina. Waste of my time and had to come back to pick it up.
Leo Tan: Butchered my jeans to the point where I had to take them somewhere else to fix the hem. Don’t go.

adam gross: Paid them to replace the liner in my jacket. They did a great job but re attached the patch on the front so that it was half hanging off. They fixed it at no extra charge, however there was a black line running over a colored portion of the patch where they sewed it. They also managed to sew my inside flask pocket shut. I was given 5 dollars off my bill but would have preferred a half decent job.
