Lee and Daniel both have extraordinarily good customer relations that make you feel welcomed, as a place you'll want to go back to (unlike a lot of shops in the Raleigh area where the general vibe is "give us your money and get out") Their work really speaks for itself, and they will work with you to make sure the design is perfect before your appointment date. I have other tattoos but my old place downtown let me down recently with an artist who adopted the attitude that he was doing you a favor rather than providing a service; in short he was an a-hole. The inside was very clean, and they accepted my walk in after some covid protocols which I appreciate. They took my info, made my appointment and were right on time when i showed up. Tamal Chakraborty: Finding the tattoo artist for you is like finding the mechanic for your car .. there are a ton pf good artists ..heck even great artists ..but it does not mean the best artist is best for your job or for you for that matter . having some one who undersatnds and appreciates and takes his time out of a busy schedule just to exchange ideas and then take the next step and slowly guides you towards what you need rather than what you want . Gin Canty (Verginniya): I had my session with Kip. The shop was super clean and followed Covid precautions which as an immunosuppressed individual made me feel super safe and taken care of. Kip was punctual and ready to go with sizes and styles already out to be chosen and offered to resize some of them; however there was no need because I had already spotted the two that were perfect! Wait time was absolutely minimal and we jumped right in. I felt super comfortable no anxiety and Kip was quick and thorough!!! Best tattoo artist I’ve had in NC, very talented with line work and attention to detail. Quickly became my favorite and I will forever keep him as my go to artist! He was great working with me and all my different ideas and was super helpful in helping me decide the perfect design.The appointment itself was great, quite and peaceful, he focused on his work without distraction which I appreciated. He answered all my questions for aftercare and made sure I was completely happy with everything. Appointment took less than an hour, Overall it was a great experience. My family up in NJ got the same exact tattoo, but commented on how much they loved the work Kip did on mine more than theirs! The colors were so much more vibrant and the roses were so much more realistic! I have a couple of other tattoos and this tattoo is the best one I have ever had done! I can’t stop looking at it! She helped me rework older tattoos on my arm that I didn’t like so we could achieve a unified vision, and she added so much to this arm to make it complete. I’m thrilled with the outcome. Emily is a conscientious planner with an eye for detail, and she is a fast, precise tattoo artist. She’s done my elbow, wrist, all over the arm, and nothing has distorted or blown out. Everything looks sharp and gorgeous. What I appreciate most is that she takes her job seriously and plans out what you want based on what you tell her. Her shop is clean and neat. She had protocols for what she needs you to provide so you can get the tattoo you want (which I love). She is an artist first, and her walls are adorned with beautiful paintings she’s done. We met to go over the design, and from a reference photo and a rough idea of what I wanted, she was able to design the tattoo in the attached image. Due to her busy schedule, she wasn't able to show me the design until I came back in for my appointment--but she was very generous in giving me a space for quick tweaks or even rescheduling my appointment while she worked out any problems I had. She needn't have offered either, as the design she showed me was better than what I had imagined.Before and during the tattoo itself, Ash was professional and communicative. She was patient and offered me ample breaks to stretch. I brought a book to read, but Ash was a great conversationalist and I never ended up opening it during the 4-hour sit.Seems like she's in high demand, which is its own proof that she's 5-star. Studio is one of the cleanest and well kept I have been to and her knowledge and break down of the process, ink, needles is the absolute most professional I’ve ever encountered and I’ve been getting tattooed for 10+ years and in multiple states. Cameron Hill: The staff at warlocks is amazing. I did a lot of research before getting my first tattoo and couldn’t have been happier with choosing Warlocks… I have nothing but great things to say. I worked with Ashlei and hands down is the most dedicated artist to her work. She takes her time to make sure her work is something she would wear herself. The amount of detail she puts into it and also the time is unmatched. I’m currently working on my half sleeve with her which was my first and she was amazing at explaining the process and what all would be involved in the aftercare.
