Johnathon Johnson: Figured it wasn’t a shop just a house in a neighborhood I called and was trying to figure out about details and told him my name and he just said he does appointments only and I told him the ammo I was searching for and he’s out of everything or don’t carry it and maybe has some 9mms but didn’t care to talk to me it seemed like so I told him I wouldn’t bother him anymore so all around terrible experience I wouldn’t recommend him!

K Mik: Just picked up my cat's skull as a memorial piece. To those thinking about doing the same to honor your pet: please be sure you're prepared to see/hear the dirty reality of the process. Mike was upfront, informative and very frank about what to expect with the process; which I appreciated a lot. He is very professional, knowledgeable and skilled! A lot of care went into this. I absolutely love the finished product; it's beautiful!
steve petteway: Mike did an excellent job with my deer mount. He only takes a limited amount of clients each season because he pays careful attention to each and every project he does and it shows. Love the mount and will certainly use JLT again for any future mounts.

Brice Mayeux: Mike is absolutely incredible. Got my first deer this year and everyone I called told me it would take around a year. This man got it done in a couple months and could not have done a better job. He has earned a loyal customer I can promise that. If you need something done there is nobody else I would recommend before Mike.
Wayne Terrell: I recently had a fish mounted the job was completed in a timely manner. The mount was beautiful excellent work Mike is truly an artist If you want quality work and super turn around time this is place you should go.
Alexandria Ison: My dog had died and I wanted to memorialize her by preserving her skull (I have a small collection of other skulls). Since this was an unorthodox request, the owner took time to discuss it with me and ensure it was what I wanted. The results were absolutely amazing. I was not able to find another taxidermist to fulfill my request and I am glad. He even took the time to bury the rest of my dogs remains near his own previous dogs. I couldn't recommend him more. Was willing to take on my odd request, was straightforward but respectful about it, and the final product is perfect. It's like Rowan gets to live forever with me. Super thankful.

Thurman Hamlet: I got my first buck this past season and took it to Mike to have a shoulder mount done. He talked me through the different types of poses and the pros and cons of each. We decided semi-sneak would look the best and Mike went to work.I couldn't be happier with the result - it looks great!This buck was important to me since it was my first and now I have a beautiful way to relive that memory on my wall. Mike was timely, professional, and is obviously very skilled. I had heard these shoulder mounts can sometimes take a year so I was glad when Mike turned it around in about 3 months.I will definitly bring my next buck to Mike!

I W: Ray mounted a buck I’d taken last season. I’d tried to contact five or six other taxidermists (most never called back) with very high prices and 1 year waiting times before I found Buck Fever on google. Ray answered his phone when I called and has been great to work with ever since. He’s responsive, fair on pricing, friendly, sent progress pictures as he worked on my deer and had it completed very fast. Couldn’t be happier, will be taking all my bucks to him today in the future.
