Precious Smith: Called to get a quote for a TV repair and due to terrible customer service on the phone I wouldn't dare come in to get any service. The man I talked to was very rude and was in such a rush to get me off the phone he told me to just come in to get a simple question answered rather than taking the time out the day to listen to what I even was asking.
Karen Schreiber: Jeff serviced our LG TV under warranty. Consumer Electronics was prompt, and the office was courteous and efficient. Jeff was on time, and had the repair done in moments. Robert Kurtz: My experience with CES was great! I had an old Marantz vintage stereo receiver, old speakers and turntable which all needed repair. CES fixed them all at a reasonable price, and when I had an issue with set up of the equipment (a buzz in the bass) they told me what to do to fix it. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews of CES before bringing them my equipment, as I might not have contacted them for help. I may be that the negative reviews you read here concern their warranty work for Samsung or other companies, but it seems like they do a great job if you have vintage stereo equipment that needs to be rehabbed.

Dexter Adams: Customer service starts with the first call! I was referred by the LG website and called in just to confirm I had the right place (if they were still a certified LG repair shop). I'm not sure who spoke to—but this person’s disposition was TERRIBLE. It felt like I was interrupting the gentleman and when I asked if I was, he was dismissive and just continued with his script about 25 years and continued with the same annoyed tone.I ignored the rating and figured if they were certified by LG I would give it a chance but if that introduction was any hint at what others have dealt with and why they have barely a 3 star rating, I want no parts.Good luck to anyone who ignores that like I did.

Mike Ray: Recently had a 10+ year old JBL subwoofer plate amp die on me. CES was able to determine the issue, but unfortunately JBL no longer stocked parts to fix it. However, CES was able to locate an aftermarket amp that fit perfectly in place of the original, and ordered and installed it - the sub is back up and operating great. Reasonable price and great service.

Austin Lipcsak: LG outsourced a warranty repair for my TV to CESNC. There was a bit of a communication issue early in the process, although I'm not sure if that was CESNC's fault for LG's for not relaying the info. The tech that showed up to my house, Jeff, was super friendly and VERY fast. Came on time, had "everything to build a brand new TV" just in case the over-the-phone diagnosis wasn't right, and promised the TV would be working before he left. Fixed it within 10 minutes by swapping out a fried board, confirmed it was working, and suggested a few settings for the TV. In-an-out, it was less than 20 minutes.I had my service request put in through LG, didn't talk on the phone with anyone much, and didn't visit the store myself, so I didn't experience a lot of stuff the low-star reviews are talking about. It may change if I call them myself for something outside a warranty, but from what I saw, I'd have no problem calling these guys again.

Long time residents in Downtown Cary and the employee/owner just threatened to call police on my autistic son who came in to ask a question about VCR repair. He told him to make an appointment and if he didn’t like it he would call police on him. My son just left! He was so confused. They are crazy. Anger management therapy need right away for employees or owner. Stay far away from this place. Look at other reviews and you will see. Big problem here with this business.

I will tell you this guy who was working in the shop today was very menacing like in a way where when I asked him about the repair on my vhs player. He first said that I needed to call the number on the front door, which I did not understand and asked why that was. The guy said it was what they said how it was and if I did not like it he would dail 911 and as soon as they picked up the phone to do so I walked off!!! I was extremely enraged at this guy’s actions!!! Never had I had such very rude customer service in any part of my lifetime!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤. I stopped by to ask about scheduling service, the doors are locked, and have such dark light film on them you can barely see the shadowy figures inside, nothing about Covid-19, masks, etc. posted on the doors ! A staff person walks up and points to a sign way over on the right side that says call for curbside service, uh excuse me I'm standing right here - I signal the staff - uh I'm right at your front door !!! Just points at the sign and walks away ! That upset me a lot -so I gave the hand gesture and went start towards my car - then he opens the door to admonish my gesture!You could really tell this man could care less about his business and any sort of customer service !!

Racquel Bullock: DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR TV REPAIRS! I reached out in December to have my TV repaired. Repair man came out on the 21st and took a piece of my TV with him to repair. He returned on the 23rd to put the part back in and see if the issue was fixed. It wasn’t. He informed he will take the part back to his office, make additional repairs and return on the 24th. I haven’t seen him since. It is now January 9th. I’ve attempted several times to request a refund of my money (I paid prior to tech returning to my home on the 23rd) and to have the part be returned but haven’t heard anything back. Do not trust this company.

Samantha L: Initially I was impressed with the communication to set the appointment. On the day of my appointment (which was supposed to be from 11-2) the technician Nate texted me at 1 stating he would be about an hour late. After waiting around and still not hearing anything, I reached out at after 4pm asking was he still coming. It was then that he said no and could I reschedule for the next day. I am active duty military and took the day off to be at home and available for this repair. Not to mention I texted asking if he was available to come on Tuesday as I could not take that next day off and was left with no response. This was highly UNPROFESSIONAL and a major inconvenience to me. There have been several reviews complaining about their communication and I still gave them the benefit of the doubt. Lesson learned.
Rhonda Gee: Don't fall prey to the nearly 5 star review that Google posts for this business as I did!!! The technician from Precision TV has come and gone from my Mom's home at least three times since May 8 and has yet to repair our Samsung TV. It is July and we are still without a picture on our TV. Nate told us that a part other than a lamp was needed which we paid him to order. Two weeks later he came back to install the part and said that didn't work either. I supposethe saudering tool he used did not work either. He said he would order something else that would cost more money. My mother is 75 years old and her TV is her main source of entertainment. So to be without her TV for 2 months is upsetting. I followed up on June 25 and still have not received a response as to when he would return. All I can say is this has got to be the WORST TV repair service imaginable at this point. I think we would have done better going with the Geek Squad from the start!!!! Save your money and a ton of aggravation by avoiding this company! Then the mailbox is always full when you call and they have no website!!! I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau immediately!

He came out to my house and diagnosed the issue (of course, with my luck, it was the second most expensive part (the most expensive is the screen itself) of the whole TV). He sourced the replacement part and was back out to install it two days later. Each time I TT him, he told me when he would do it and kept the promised time.

Michael Paris: After calling more than a dozen tv repair shops in the region George stood out. He was the only shop that didn't immediately say they couldn't help or act like we were a bother. During our call he listened and was attentive to as we described the issues we were experiencing with our televisions. In fact, he was the only shop that was open to me sending photos of the examples of when the televisions was not working properly. After reviewing all of the information George told me that it was a low chance that he could help with the issue but we were welcome to bring the televisions by the shop if we desired. He gave us the cost for a diagnostic test and also shared the pros and cons of if it was worth bringing in the TVs. We made the decision to take the TVs to George and unfortunately the issues were too cost prohibitive to proceed. During the entire process George was professional and responsive. When he said he would call with an update he called right on time. While we were not lucky enough that the issues with our TVs were repairable we did find a reliable shop that we can rely on if we ever have any future TV issues.

Ted Hills: I brought George a control board from an electric clothes dryer, in the hopes that he could replace what I believed to be a bad relay. The board was clearly not designed to have its components replaced in the field, and he had to make three attempts, and had to get different equipment for each try, but nonetheless he persevered and got the job done. Also, this was not what he usually does these days, just swapping out circuit boards. I was very impressed with his willingness to go the extra mile for me.

J: My TV was 3 months out of warranty and the screen started flashing on and off so I googled it and it looked pretty obvious that it needed a new power board. So I take it to George and he tells me he'll diagnose it for $75 and call me back. He calls me back in 2 days and tells me the "panel is weak" and the TV can't be fixed, he will kindly allow me to abandon the TV with him and I can go buy another one. I say there's nothing wrong with the panel I'm taking the TV back and he immediately pivots and says he will diagnose it some more and maybe buy a part or something. So I leave the TV with him and about a week later he calls back and is giving me the "panel is weak" routine again, says it can't be fixed and I should just leave it with him and go buy another one. So I go pick the TV up, order a power board online, pop it in myself and boom the TV's fixed. It looks to me like part of this guy's business model is telling customers their TVs can't be fixed so he can keep them for parts or whatever he's up to.

Joan Crites: Well, where do I begin!? Nate came out to look at out 65” TV and promptly took our $89.00 for the service call. He was very quiet and awkward for a so- called professional, and I pretty much had to milk the answers out of him regarding approximate time it will take , cost, parts, etc. See my poor Hubby picked this guy- Had I read all the negative reviews- I wouldn’t have touched his company with a 10 foot pole! He finally said he had to order the parts - that took a while - ok fine . He never kept us updated, I had to call/ text daily to get an answer from him, which annoyed me to no end, I do not have time for games😡 Then , he picks up our TV …. Yep, the end !! Cannot get ahold of him at all and he has our property and will not return it😡 We worked so hard to pay for that set, and then my husband was out of work for a while, and we suffered paying the rest of it off 😞 Now thanks to this common thief , we have no TV, with no available funds to purchase another similar to it. I’m not going to stop trying to shut him down if it’s the last thing I do!!!
Mike S: Seems based on other reviews it's the luck of the draw on which Nate you get. I wasn't so lucky. Long story short, I am $250 lighter and still have a broken TV after more than 2 months.He came to diagnose, was eager to take my $99 diagnostic fee and the main board from my TV. Had to contact him up to four times over the next two weeks to get him back out to install the part when he said initially he would be back in two days.He put the part in and the TV worked for a couple of cycles and started doing the same thing. Charged $149 for the "fix".Came back to take the part and attempt to fix it again. At this time he admitted it's a difficult fix and may not work. After another long couple of weeks, and multiple attempts to contact him to come out, he came back to install. Again, TV worked for a couple of cycles and issue came back.He then told me I'd need a new board. Not wanting to throw good money after bad (and being over two months into this ordeal) I politely asked for the $149 fix charge back so I could put it toward a new TV. I even told him to keep the diagnostic fee of $99 because that was fair. Ignored. Asked again, all hell broke loose and I was threatened when I told him I'd be leaving a review. I have the texts to prove it just in case.He's happy to take your money, but don't expect anything when he doesn't deliver. Overall awful experience, I would not take the chance and steer clear.
