Jason Overstreet: Service was wonderful! Very attentive! Delicious food
Angie Collins: I just had my 64th bday there with my hubby of 38 years and it was great! The grilled ceaser salad was excellent. The steak absolutely melt in your mouth delicious. We sat at the bar, we got there when it opened. The young bartender with two children really added a special, intimate atmosphere for us. He was attentive and personable. We had a wonderful evening. Oh, and the creme brulee was the perfect cap to our evening.
Benny's Tavern: Outstanding meal and great service! Had a big party coming in and still squeezed us in a seat at the bar!
Noah Higgins: Came here to celebrate a graduation. The food was fantastic, and our server was a younger gentleman who was very attentive and funny. I wish I could remember his name. The vibes are relaxed and the restaurant is lovely. Would strongly recommend for an upscale dining experience in Raleigh.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Crispy Sesame Calamari …More
Adam Higgins: We had dinner here 5/06/23. We walked right in and got a great table upstairs. We were celebrating our son’s graduation from NC State. Wow!!!! What an amazing culinary journey. Their offerings are all fresh. I was speechless with the presentation as well as the taste of the food. We had six people in our party and had a variety of their items. Their bar menu is also unique and very tasty. I ordered the Korean BBQ beef entree. It was nothing short of extraordinary. Perfect. Well seasoned with fresh herbs. My wife had Soft Shell Crab with fettuccine. Amazing. I keep saying amazing because it was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had. We asked to meet the chef, Maggie. Wow!!! She is an artist of fine cuisine. I wish I lived closer so I could go back. I will stop there when I am passing through the area. If you are reading this review, trust me, this is the spot for you to eat. It was a phenomenal evening. A perfect place to celebrate and share their menu. Perfect. Thank you Maggie and staff for the amazing meal and atmosphere. Thank you!!!
Amy Stewart: Outstanding from start to finish! Wait staff was wonderful. Food was best I’ve ever had. Plating was phenomenal and the atmosphere is perfect! Highly recommend the focaccia and calamari appetizers, Korean BBQ beef and mountain trout! All out of this world
Alysa Cody: A beautiful, prompt service with excellent melt-in-your-mouth food.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Homage to the Pig …More
Jill DeCandio: Disappointing. For those that went to the “old” Maximilian’s, the “new” Maximillians is nothing like its predecessor unfortunately. The staff when we went recently seemed inexperienced and not sure what they were doing. The majority of them hung around the hostess stand talking and looking over and watching us throughout our meal. The menu also has changed. Missing are the wonderful pasta dishes with delicious sauces. Getting a off putting vibe we opted to only order items from the appetizer menu and cocktails. Went with a wine (safe choice) and the Spring Sangria. The sangria had a good flavor but it was chunky and not with large pieces of fresh fruit. Rather the fruit was “blended” but not not enough to make it smooth to drink and particles lingered in your mouth and teeth. On to food…. Ordered the focaccia of the day which was roasted garlic. Was served resembling corn bread with lemon peels on top. No garlic to be found or tasted. It was dry and unflavorful. Don’t order it, a waste of $7. One person ordered the apple and blue cheese salad. It would have been better perhaps if there would have been some blue cheese on it. There wasn’t. Had to ask for more which they did bring. Next was the grilled chaser salad. Hard to screw up, so it was ok. Croutons on the side were the size of softballs. Lastly, the cauliflower flat bread. Yikes. I would have been better off getting a frozen pizza from the grocery store…well, thinking back, thats what they actually might have done. It wasn’t a flat bread at all but a round premade crust. The pizza was over cooked and bland. It was void of the balsamic reduction drizzle. The bill came to about $90…way too much money for the service and food we received.

Nancy Malone: Wow! The professional team at Maximillians provided a lovely atmosphere, great service & fabulous food which led to an incredible dining experience for me, my family, & best friends as we celebrated two very special occasions tonight! Great job, Will & Margie! Shane was an awesome server as well! Thank you for a memorable and delicious meal! Every course was exceptional!
Michelle Crumpler: Great food. Excellent service. Homey atmosphere. One of Cary’s best long lived restaurant high points. Try the Caesar salad.Vegetarian options: Always good options and excellent willingness to create something custom.
Barış Dilek: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
kelly amato: Wow. Everything from cocktails to appetizer to entrees was EXCELLENT! I got the NC trout and my hubby got Korean BBQ....both were outstanding. I must say, the cauliflower flatbread didn't have much cauliflower, but it was still excellent...will definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Not a lot on the menu, but they will accommodate
Elle P.: The chef and the staff were amazing. So many laughs and good energy was shared. During restaurant week they shared a specific menu. I had not experienced a grilled Ceasars salad or sugar cookie cheesecake. I'm totally thankful for the experience. Good food. Great service. Amazing atmosphere.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Gabby Allen: Restaurant mad fire yo food good and costmer service is perfect and imma younger black girl😁Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Darrick Yarbrough jr.: Absolutely love it here. Anybody who says different is a liar. This is my family and I'm black!
Diamond Owens: Vegetarian options: Whole Food ingredients made to order.Kid-friendliness: This is a great place to dine with a family friendly environment mixed cultured staff, my daughter had her 8th Birthday Family Dinner here at the “Chef’s Table”! She loves the made from scratch sauce!! I also had my baby shower here.Dietary restrictions: Fresh food, Whole Foods everything made to order. Chef accommodates her guests.
Abigail Marshall: Came to this location later at night due to most restaurants being closed. I came as a walk-in and was seated quickly. I loved the ambiance of the place, and it felt relaxing and lowkey. As nice as it was, the food wasn’t up to par. It wasn’t very seasoned and it tasted really bland. It was nice to look at but lacked heavily in flavor. As authentic as this restaurant is, I expected more than just a pretty plate with colors and high pricing, especially since the reviews spoke highly it. Extremely disappointed!
yogurt tube: Staff is rude, and owners are equally as rude. Food is awful, and made me sick. Glasses were frequently dropped, and they constantly stared at my friends who are people of color. I could also hear them using slurs on occasion.

We got several dishes to share (as intended) and it was hard to pick a favorite. We wanted to try something different and new and we’re so glad we chose to come to Catalan Tapas Bar! Will definitely return.

Lee Edwards: Review: Dined for dinner on Sunday 06/04/2023.My recent experience at the Catalan tapas restaurant was far from satisfactory. Unfortunately, the food served was mediocre at best, failing to deliver the enticing flavors and quality I had hoped for.The unprofessional conduct of the staff only added to my disappointment. Upon being seated, the hostess brazenly burped out loud, showing no care or consideration for the patrons. Her lack of manners set a discouraging tone for the rest of the evening.Throughout our meal, the staff appeared disinterested and more focused on their personal conversations than providing attentive service. They congregated at the end of the bar, gossiping among themselves while neglecting the needs of the customers. It was disheartening to witness such unprofessional behavior. To make matters worse, as we were preparing to leave, our waiter haphazardly piled all the dishes together, resulting in a careless spillage of food. Some of the food landed on my shoes, leaving an unsightly mess and permanently ruining a cherished pair. This lack of attention to detail was truly disheartening.Furthermore, the ambiance of the restaurant was subpar. The dim lighting, coupled with an overall lack of cleanliness, created an uninviting and unappealing atmosphere. It was difficult to fully enjoy the dining experience when the surroundings were so poorly maintained. In conclusion, my visit to this so called tapas restaurant left me with a sense of disappointment. The underwhelming food, unprofessional staff, and unclean environment, coupled with the incident that ruined my shoes, all contributed to an experience that fell short of expectations. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this establishment to others seeking a pleasant dining experience.

Amy Poe: Enjoyed eating the charcuterie board. It was certainly a great variety with a creative presentation! I’m not a good pic person but this was so nice at the end of the day with suggested red wine 🍷Great service!
Jeff Baynham: Great food and drinks. Very friendly staff. Love that they support LGBTQ. First time here and will definitely be back.Recommended dishes Fried Brussels Sprouts, Mac N Cheese …More
Dawn Gosney: I recently visited the Catalan Tapas Bar and I can say without hesitation that it was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a very long time. The atmosphere is lively and bustling, with a warm and welcoming vibe that immediately puts you at ease. The menu is an absolute delight, filled with delicious dishes that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. The tapas are all beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, with a fantastic mix of traditional and contemporary dishes to suit all tastes. But let me talk about the real star of the show - the mamacita margarita. This cocktail is absolutely divine, with a perfect balance of sweet and sour that just hits the spot. It's easily the best margarita I have ever tasted, and I will definitely be back just to have another one (or two!).Service at Catalan Tapas Bar was exceptional, with knowledgeable and friendly staff who were eager to help us make the most of our dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an amazing evening out - you won't be disappointed!
Muniba Khan: Cute tapas bar with a lot of vegan options! My favorite vegan dish was the Champinones al Ajillo. If you get it I recommend getting some extra bread to dip into the broth. The drink selection is also super great! My favorite drink was the coco mojito!Update: we came back again and the vegan market special is definitely a favorite! It's super filling and flavorful. Also unfortunately the champinones were not as good as the last time we came.
Andrea Wilson: We gave this place another try. The food was worse than the first time. It was around 5pm and they already ran out of the $5 special tapas item. My husband and I shared the Wild mushroom dish with baguette and a rice dish for two people. The two slices of baguette should have been toasted, they tasted stale. I don't know what made the mushrooms wild? They tasted like regular mushrooms in a slightly burned paprika garlic broth. The rice in the rice dish tasted good but the seafood/sausage/chicken stew (?) that was on top was not good. I'm pretty sure the seafood came from one of those frozen trays with calamari, shrimp and mussels. The meat was better but still not great. Portion size was small for two people, but I didn't mind as ,again, it tasted like the paprika was burned. My husband had a small $5 margarita which he liked. Not going back. Very disappointing. I've been to Spain, this is not good tapas, if it is even tapas. If the small plates are fusion don't call them tapas, just call them small plates and change your name. Catalan sounds like there should be authentic tapas available.Update: worst reply by owner EVER. I'm a chef and very familiar with smoked paprika. The paprika was burned, my husband agreed. I'm changing from 3 stars to one because of the owners attitude.
Claire Olsen: Absolute delight came to get a bagel next door and decided to try the French toast. So surprised how incredible the taste was. Definitely worth trying for brunch drinks and dinner.
Zel: Good: foodBad: everything elseOne of the chairs was wet. The service was really bad. The waiter took my wife’s order and left. I had to call her to order food. Took 10 minutes to bring beer when they had just 2 tables occupied. The waiters were just chatting. They have a card surcharge which is just another mandatory fee that you learn about when you get a check.Overall I don’t recommend this place.update 5/21/23Well instead of apologizing they blame their customers and accuse them of lying. What an awesome business. There is nothing you can do with the cc processing fee? Well, maybe add it to the price of food like any other business does. Following this logic you can add you water bill to the final bill since there is nothing you can do to avoid it.Whoever’s reading this - please stay away from this business.I would take my 1 star if I could.
Amy Campbell: Service was absolutely terrible - the food was good (although they ran out of basically everything), but not so much that it could outweigh that awful service experience. I’m assuming we caught them on an off day - we had high hopes because of the positive reviews, but we will not be returning.[EDIT] I’ve since learned that the owner hired friends to cover because a bunch of staff called out last minute, so our experience was likely related to folks who don’t actually work there. We still probably won’t go back (our experience with the food/service was really that bad), but others may catch the actual staff on a good day.

Pharmacy Bottle + Beverage: what do users think?
Lamar Norwood: The server was helpful, but they do not provide samples of three draft beer to tell if you like the beer. I personally think if they are this unhelpful, there are other place nearby that you can get beer from that are more customer friendly.Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
LORD Dubbers: My personal go-to spot any day of the week! Alex Verderosa: Best bottle shop in wake county friendly environment and amazing staff!
Tony Byrne: Kimmie the bartender was very informative. A great place and well worth a visit
Scott Gee: Nice selection of beers on draft, everyone should be able to find something they like. If draft isn’t your style, they have two coolers to pick out beer from.I saw many different styles in there as well. Also, they have a huge selection of cants/ bottles to take home. I personally found a couple of cans from a cool brewery outside of Charlotte. So all-in-all, definitely a cool place to stop by.
Lynda Marie: Best bottle shop in the triangle, love it here!
Wes Bruemmer: Home
Liam Torpey: Great beer, atmosphere, location, and staff!
G A: Jenn was so welcoming. I left cotton house as they seemed reluctant to serve me...and was greeted and served so warmly here. It could not have been more staunchly contrast. Great cider and excellent service
Paul Heinrich: Fun environment, not overpriced, good selection.
Janet: Been here a couple times, and while breweries tend to be quite standard in look and feel this one feels more on the industrial side with hard surfaces and minimal decor. Not an expert on beers but the selection was fairly decent and the staff very friendly. Good for groups as there's plenty of picnic-table seating both indoors and out.
Chelsea Cranfill: Great selection of rotating beers, nice atmosphere, great playlists, and amazing staff!
DavidTammy Carpenter: Great atmosphere, great selection of beers and Sara is the best!!
Jamie Miner: Fun place for a beer. Good selection on tap and wide variety in cans. Also serves wine. Food can be brought in from near by restaurants. I like the Chinese restaurant across the street. Dogs welcome.
Btxpres: My go to spot. Great prices and low key atmosphere. Usually find a great IPA on draft and/or in the cooler.
Aria Jiang: OMG they have the best cranberry sour! Great vibes too:)
Mike Walters: Whoever decided to give a job to that blonde hair RUDE woman needs to rethink there decision. What a rude pos. will never spend my money here again.
Jen Ault: I love this place. I stop by about every other week. They always have a great selection on tap. With COVID their can/bottle selection is slimmer, but I can usually find something to enjoy. Good people that work there and good vibe and location downtown Cary.
