Rob Nguyen: Great experience here. Let me preface with I'm a novice at woodworking, pretty much only built things with 2x4 until now where I'm venturing out into hardwoods and plywood. I tried using Minwax stain from Lowe's and it just wasn't what I was expecting. General Finishes receives rave reviews and I found Klingspor's as a vender so headed out. Came in and received some great advice from the staff.

Marker Man: Store is very nice with a very large selection of tools and wood. Don't go if you are a beginner at woodworking, insanely toxic shoppers will ruin the experience and any chance at learning from the staff.

I didn't get the gentleman's name who was at the register, but he acted like it was an un-deserved honor for me to shop there. I actually greeted him when I walked in the door. When I was at the register, he thought I was someone else, which was fine. Although, I kept thinking he must not have liked that other person, but why is he being unfriendly to me??I shelled out $30 for a pint of stain. Woodcraft is always cheaper, but farther away. I will make the longer trip next time.

Linda Hart: I will never do business with this company again. I feel like a trainee handled my order because it certainly was not done by a professional. Last month (09/2020) I took 6 pictures to Frame Masters in Cary; 1 for a new frame and matt and the other 5 were for new matts only. For those last 5, 2 had silver metal frames and the other 3 had silver wooden frames; all 5 had been purchased at another frame shop several years ago and all 5 were in great condition when I took them to Frame Masters. The day I picked up my pictures a thin clear wrapping was put around each of them. The lady waiting on me stacked all 5 of the silver framed pictures on top of each other to carry out to my car and handed me the one with the new wooden (non-silver) frame to carry. She placed them in my front passenger car seat and, once I got home, I noticed that the bottom picture, one with a silver metal frame, had several scratches on the front of the wrapping. Once I unwrapped it, I saw that two of the scratches had gone through the thin wrapping and had left ugly scratches on the front of the frame. It appears that the wire and screws and hook on the back of one frame scratched the front of the frame stacked underneath it. That thin clear wrapping they use is just not thick enough to keep that from happening. Furthermore, one of the wooden silver frames had a tiny piece of wood missing in the top right corner. When I called to complain they had me bring those pictures back to their store. For the wooden frame they filled in the gap and touched up the paint as best as they could but said that silver is a hard color to match and it was obvious that the paint they used did not match the rest of the frame. The young lady waiting on me actually remarked that she remembered my frames being “beat up” when I brought them in. I held up my frame that had been in perfect condition when I brought it in and did not have a scratch on it and said “you’re calling this beat up?!”. Actually, the only frame that was not in great condition when I brought it in was the one that I had them replace. For the metal frame they said that they could not repair the damage, nor did they offer to refund any part of the $624.68 I had paid them, nor did they offer me a discount on any future work. They said that I could not prove that they caused the damage. To make matters worse, for the silver wooden frames, this store did very sloppy work. Those pictures came in with black paper on the back of the frames which a worker at their store replaced with a lighter color paper. However, all around the bottom edges on the frame backs you can still see several strips of the original black paper and in some areas, part of a strip will be sticking up because it was not properly trimmed. Also, at least one of the hooks screwed into the back of a frame to hold the wire is sticking out past the edge. .

Randy Goins: I've hired Colonial Materials for multiple sheet rock deliveries since 2012, back when the company was Triangle Materials. Each of my experiences have ran smooth with no issues. On this particular delivery, the crew was delivering 70 sheets at a residential property, through a 50' casement window and delivered down a narrow hallway into an attic I am prepping for renovation. The crew on the job, LeRon and Tyler both represented Colonial Materials with professionalism and class. They worked at a steady pace, respected the home and were very kind, personable people. They left the home in immaculate condition, without even a dent on the window or walls. Overall, just an exceptional execution. I'd recommend requesting Tyler and LeRon for your delivery - they did excellent in all aspects of the job - operating crane truck, boom lift and product. Well done, Colonial Materials, LeRon, Tyler, David, Bob, Kelly & John - each of you represented your brand at the highest level.

Four stars because the people were nice and they emediatly started unloading me.. make sure and walk around first to see the layout.. now the way they had me do it was to go down to the rail car and three point turn.. so turn to the right at end of the building, back up on the right side of the rail car then turn right going back out toward the gate to setup for the dock.. there may be trucks and forklifts on the end of building.. and cars going in and out of the gate while you're trying to back 🙄.. not a lot of space to move.. anyway go inside the first man door and see which bay is open before you back one or the other may be blocked with pallets they had me back into the one closest to the man door.. definitely not meant for 53" at all may take you a few tries.. watch out you don't hit the gate trying to back in.. Hard to back but this Swift made it in.. Good Luck! 👍

Kenneth Long: I’m giving it 3 stars because of the staff in my opinion they were helpful and polite. I didn’t rate it higher because I’m looking at it from a truck drivers perspective. If you are bring a sleeper and a 53’ trailer BEWARE!!!! Is all I can say. Now Ive been driving big rigs since 2008 and even though I’m not the best backer in the world I can back and this place is not and I will repeat is not set up for sleeper cabs and 53’s. If you can’t blind back forget it all together and my advice bring your tandems all the way up as far as they can go. Take your time and if there’s someone around to help do not be afraid to ask Good Luck

After 45 mins of waiting i came up to one of them and asked nicely if he could start unloading me cause i have another drop and a pick up appt. The guy was laughing in my face and kept on saying one phrase: sir I'm doing my job. Ended up arguing with the office ppl, and they had to send another guy to unload me. It took him 15 mins to get me empty. Total waiting time 1hr 20min to take 5 bundles off. Never again
