Wake Radiology UNC REX Healthcare - Cary Diagnostic Imaging: what do users think?
Gautam Beri: Came here for walk in Xray, people at reception were great and welcoming and I was in and out in less than half an hour.
Waldemar Parker: The nurse Victoria was very helpful and kind and the other staff are very friendly too
Suzela M.: Very pleased with my experience. The mammo tech was excellent! Very friendly. I wish I had written down her name.
Theresa T: This was a very good place to get an MRI. I highly recommend them.
Hannah Christian: The staff was extremely kind and helped calm me, as I was very anxious about my test. The front desk staff, radiology techs, and radiologist were great!
ellowee Leach: I had a Diagnostic Breast Mammogram and Ultrasound done on Tuesday January 24, 2023. The Secretary, Medical Technicians and Radiology Doctor were so kind, compassionate and very professional. I felt so comfortable to be taken care of in a very exemplary manner.
Imen F: Dont go there for your first ultrasound if you're pregnant! Very rude technician , not smiling or anything very robotic, when I asked to hear the heart beat she told me that we cant and thats too soon even tho i was 9 weeks plus ... not a problem, I then asked if i can look at the screen ? She said no and that she needed to concentrate and that she will make a cd for me to watch at home !!!! Not even a sorry or a compassionate word! This is my 2nd pregnancy and this is not my first ultrasound, i know that you can show me the screen for like 10 secondes its not going to prevent you from concentrating ! Anyways im very upset and disappointed and wont be back here anytime soon!
Chyanne Weeks: Very nice people
Amber Arteaga: Don't seem to have the clients best interest in mind. They can tell us what they need and how we can be the middle person to retrieve all information but cannot go the extra step to help us especially since the lack of proper documentation is what has caused this entire issue. Insurance told us that the notes on the order for the imaging say nothing was wrong per our insurance. We explained to all techs we were in a horrific car accident and that is the reason we were sent for MRI's. Now we are sitting with a 4k bill because someone in that department did not adequately document the patient chart/file so that our insurance would not kick it back. Not to mention that we were told we needed to file an "appeal" with the insurance. We wouldn't even have needed to do that if this had. been done correctly. They told us we had to contact the originating physician for better documentation and when I asked why they could not request them directly I was told they don't do that. Why can a medical establishment not request medical records from another medical establishment? So the issue is with the notes from the facility that sent the record to insurance, insurance denied it and NONE of this would even be an issue if they'd sent over proper documentation. Now we are left to solve the problem they have just created. All while still trying to heal from a major rollover accident.
Karen Crump: Everyone was so nice! Even when I wasn't breathing right. MRI machine was better than Raleigh Radiology. I had a great experience.and would xperience
beste cansu oztunc: 100% rude and money crazy. I got an MRI done in the mobile unit. In their partner center, I paid upfront for the MRI and then went inside. First thing they ask is whether I paid. I say yes, they say ok, sign this and take me to the MRI machine. I wasn't given any time to read, I wrongly and stupidly assumed it was about the procedure, safey and precautions etc.. No, apparently it was about the costs. 2 weeks later, I get slapped another bill from them. When I call to explain this was never communicated to me in any part of the process, then I am literally being told too bad, this is how we do things, it was in the docs etc. Yes, maybe... But you didn't even give me any time to read it, nor communicated its content. I feel like I got scammed.
Maple Roads: Best in patient care! Friendly, professionalism and dedicated to patient care. Thank you Lexi and Jacqueline for your valuable services!
Liz Wo: If there was 0 star option I would choose it. I went to Wake Radiology for breast mammogram, after the mammogram the doctor was not able to draw a conclusion so she consulted another doctor, they came checked on me together again and confirmed it was not an issue. Then they billed me for the extra service from the second doctor too which I did not ask for. I am quite healthy and I think it is not fair for me to be charged for the 2nd doctor, if the fist doctor was knowledgeable enough then they would not have to bring the 2nd doctor. All they want is your money.
RKR Vangala: I took my wife for a walk-in x-ray at this facility. This place is clean with spacious waiting area. The lady at the check-in is welcoming and did fast check-in. The wait time is not bad. X-ray was done fast and we got a copy of x-ray in a CD after waiting 5-10 minutes. Good experience.
Bonnie R: The place is very nice, the woman who checked me in was sweet and personable. I didn’t have to wait long at all. The technician who took me for my mammogram was nice and explained what I should do, however when she performed the mammogram I was horrified at how painful it was. This was a follow up mammogram from one I had a week prior. I am 60 and have had many mammograms and they all have been uncomfortable and moments of slight pain. This was was very painful and I felt like this technicianwas making sure of that. Each time she got me into position and could see how it hurt she would appear to be all set to walk to the control booth she would give it one extra turn to make it tighter. She said the more compression the better we can see. I totally understand what she was saying but soon realized that it seemed excessive. I am so sore from it that I iced my breast and took Advil to relieve the bruised feeling.
Patrick M: Extremely caring staff from the front desk to everyone else you encounter...They took excellent care of my Wife and where so empathetic and caring it was truly refreshing to see such a completely in sync patient centered practice of such size. BRAVO!!!
Alice Price _ Staff - WeatherstoneES: From the first mammogram to determine if I needed a biopsy, everyone was professional and caring. On the day of my biopsy, Alana was super. She explained things clearly and compassionately. She and Dr. Wellman were a model of professionalism and comforting throughout the procedure. Dr. Wellman is a true advocate for her patients. I feel that I received without a doubt the best care the triangle has to offer. Thank you so much for seeing so quickly and helping to get my treatment into super drive.
Ian Harshbarger: Don't use them. They aren't part of the hospital. They don't accept any UNC financial assistance. If you don't have financial assistance, just don't use them because they are taking money from everyone who has financial assistance and can't afford it.
Katie Kosma: I was scared at a procedure, but the nurse was so kind it made me well up with tears of appreciation. I felt legitimately cared for, and it made all the difference. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
Lin Harris: Went for a routine C-Scan,no greeting from Technician, just a head nod.I am 74,I was told to get up on table,no assistance, she had her back toward me.Very narrow table and easy to fall off other side.I managed. Was not told what would happen, which is usual procedure!Had to hang my arm off of table while she tried to put IV in,very uncomfortable.Still no communication. She was talking to someone behind me for 5 or so minutes and during that time I felt like I was invisible.Never go back there for scans, have always had pleasant treatment and care from Cary Pkwy and Lake Pine location, always very professional and kind.Still shaken by the experience.
Visesh Prasad: Came for a CT. Was on time and quick. Super friendly people too.

Raleigh Radiology: what do users think?
susie Oq: From the time I checked in until the time I left, they treated me with the utmost respect. Very organized. The woman, Christy, who conducted the mamogram was a delight, personable and made me feel less nervous. Great experience
Julia K: I am from out-of-state and when I got a report of an abnormal mammogram. The staff at Raleigh Radiology was able to get me scheduled for a biopsy that was needed within 2 days from when they received the orders. Once the biopsy was done I was notified the next day of the results. They made a special point of letting me know they would do it as soon as possible and give me the results so I wouldn't be worried or stressed about not knowing what was happening in my body. Thank you Raleigh Radiology.
Jeff Lanctot: Great service!!
Sandra Teasley: I was quickly processed in and out by exceedingly competent and pleasant staff. PA and tech assistant were extremely knowledgeable and put me at ease. Everything was carefully explained before, during, and after fluoroscopy and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.Thank you so very much!
David Sinicrope: While the procedure itself was fantastic the effort and confusion in scheduling and coordination with the doctors office and insurance was terrible and cumbersome. The doctor sent the required referrals to RR, which scheduling could not find and never contacted the patient for scheduling. Once contacted by the patient the referrals were deemed “unacceptable” because they came from MyChart without a signature. The Dr then had to re contact RR to get the proper documentation and schedule, which RR never bothered to follow up and schedule. 1. Get RR on Epic MyChart, 2. Improve coordination with the Dr, 3. Reach out tot he patients for scheduling in a more timely manner.
Kristi Guilfoyle: Streamline check in, nice facilities, friendly staff
Robin Schapiro: Warm, caring, quick, and even fun. Everything you could want in a mammogram experience.
Mahalakshmi Sundaram: Staff very warmand friendly and attentive .
Elvira Vaiana: Efficiently run office and very prompt on appointment times. Courteous attitudes from everyone involved with my visit.
Ghamdan Jamil: I was on time for my appointment and it took me 10 minutes to get to the right suite. They told sorry we got someone else instead of you. your appointment is canceled and you need to reschedule. Really very bad experience. They told me I need to be 30 minutes there before the appointment time. Actually I talked to them the day before trying to reschedule and I couldn’t find time fit so I kept my appointment and they don’t mention there new or makeup new policy. Which is be there 30 minutes before appointment. Anyway after fussing with them someone nice help me and let me in.
Anne Gorman: Everything was quick and easy, from check in, to getting my mammogram. I was in and out in about 35 minutes. I also love that I am already scheduled for next year, so I don’t forget.
Jennifer Donato: Amazing place.. staffs awesome..would definitely recommend them.
susan baldino: Everything was great..my 1st time here
Susan Deitz: Excellent professional care with a mammogram and an ultrasound by Gina Noble . Ultrasound diagnosed multiple polyps. I received a copy of my summary for review and will go by and get a disk for physician.
colleen foster: Always fast, easy, and everyone is pleasant.
Cheryl Waddell: Nice personnel. In and out quickly
Alanna Upton: Today I had to get a MRI and it was my thirdp time being rescheduled because I have hard veins. The ladies at this facility made me feel so comfortable and safe. Thank you Ream and the lovely lady that got my vines on the first try! I am so thankful for such a great experience when this can be scary. You truly made my day, Thank you!
Shannon Bradley: Everyone was so polite and helpful. Detailed instruction was given every step through the process.
Heather Vahdat: The staff are always pleasant, professional, and efficient. I have had only good experiences here.
Naila Parveen: I felt so comfortable with all the staff members from reception, the checking in/ registering, to the lab technician! They all treated me like family! I am so very very grateful and thankful !!!!!!!!!
Kate Turner: Caring pleasant staff; professional and patient technologist for this rather uncomfortable experience

Duke Imaging Cary Parkway: what do users think?
Sally Wilging: BUYER BEWARE - some staff were nice, but this is by far the worst Duke imaging facility ever.... I had an MRI (head) last July and they made me take all of my clothes off and put on a hospital gown and walk outside in the rain to access their mobile unit. On top of that, although I have been a patient at Duke Health since 2012, after the MRI, I came to find out that this specific location is out of network for my health insurance (despite all other Duke facilities I've been to being in-network), so now Duke wants me to pay more than $1000 for this MRI. I will NEVER go to this facility again.
Lisa Riggs: Spent hours on the phone trying to get appointment., then financial office called and wanted me to pay over $14,000.00 for MRI that my insurance company a ny said was supposed to be less than $2000.00.Would not recommend.
RKR Vangala: Good experience with the visit, Very minimal wait time.Front desk is very good.
Jack Barron: have been to Duke Imaging in Cary several times for MRI imaging. Front desk gal is very nice (can't) remember her name but always pleasant and the MRI tech is great. One more person I need to shout out to is the gal that takes your history and then walks you out to the MRI machine. So sorry (again) but forgot her name too:(. Anyway everyone is great and they are always on time. Very professional. If you need a MRI - Go Here!
Mary Goodbar: The location is easy to find, and the staff is wonderfully kind and considerate.
Matt Pittman: Shop around. I was recently quoted for a CT scan here and was expected to pay $2500 for it after they planned to bill my insurance for $18,000(!). Raleigh Radiology was less than a fifth of that price. Don't pay extra just for the Duke brand.
CurbsideUnderwood: I had an MRI here, and the personnel working here are very professional, courteous, and simply wonderful. They made the whole process easy to understand and go through. Now while no one really likes to get an MRI, this was certainly one of the more professionally run MRIs I have ever gotten. Perhaps the least stressful MRI I have ever gotten. Excellent staff here, simply wonderful people.

Wake Radiology UNC REX Healthcare - Panther Creek: what do users think?
Suzela M.: My CT scan order was screwed up. I was supposed to get a chest CT with contrast, but apparently, the staff contacted my doctor's office and told them it was the wrong order. Then, when I went for my scan, the staff told me I wasn't eligible for a lung scan. What? Then, they debated if they even do lung scans. They kept asking me how much I smoked 40 years ago. They tried to blame it on my doctor's office, but my doctor's office said it was Wake Rad that screwed it up. They finally got it straightened out after a 1.5 hour wait. Also, I'm also not happy with the lack of detail from the radiologist report, and my Internal Medicine friend agreed. It failed to mention several important items (size and shape of nodes, bulla, etc.). I contacted Wake Rad a few weeks ago to see if I could get more details from the radiologist, but haven't heard back. My doctor had originally tried to send me to Cardinal Points Imaging Center but I specifically requested Wake Rad instead. My mistake. I won't make that mistake again. My experience at the Ashville Avenue location was the opposite; the staff and mammo tech were awesome! Also, on top of everything else, instead of sending my chest CT scan results to the pulmonologist, they sent my mammogram results... The pulmonologist hasn't received the CT results, which was done a week or so before the mammo.....Well, I sent them a follow up email three weeks old and I've heard nothing from Wake Radiology. Not surprised. I'd like to at least get a more detailed CT scan description.
Vinay K: We had a walk-in for my son.. the wait was not too bad..The technician was really nice and made sure my 4 year old son was comfortable. She took X-ray of the abdomen & chest in the afternoon & the results were sent to the doc office by evening..The only thing I did not like it for parent to see the results on myChart I needed to create a separate account.. it would be good if underage children’s results are added to parents account..One less account to maintain 😃…
Angie Moore: I had a monogram on March 1 and still have not received a report...now at March 16.. I used to always get notified right away when going to the Chapel Hill office...and included getting a letter of the report. I am now sitting on hold with medical records for 15 mins and listening to a recording. I will not be going back to that facility next year. I am hoping my mammogram is ok when I can finally get a report....not good customer service to be sitting here and worrying ...
Carrie Moehrke: I utilize the UNC system because of MyChart. Wake Radiology is owned by UNC Hospitals but has yet to convert to MyChart. I don’t want to set up another user ID and password for their legacy system and have to fill out a myriad of questionnaires when my complete medical history is in MyChart. The Panther Creek facility is a mile from my home, but I will drive to Chapel Hill for an ultrasound. Hoping they catch up to 2022 soon!
J J: Please note that this location has a MOBILE MRI MACHINE IN A TRAILER and not one in the building. My doctor had suggested that I NOT use a mobile machine and have one that was permanently installed inside the facilities (for various reasons). When I called to schedule my MRI and we were discussing locations, Panther Creek was discussed and I SPECIFICALLY asked as my very first question if they had a permanent machine or was it a mobile machine. The woman confirmed it was not a mobile machine and it was inside the build and permanently installed. So it was quite an UNPLEASANT SUPRISE, when I got all dressed up in the gown and the techs walked me OUT TO A TRAILER and said they only have a mobile MRI available at Panther Creek. During the MRI process I had an issue from the beginning were part of the bench you lay on was jabbing in the abdomen / diaphragm and was making it very hard to breathe. After trying a few things, they said there was nothing else they could do. I stayed in the machine as long as I could, but had to bail out of the MRI before it was done since I literally could not breathe (not claustrophobia issue, not a panic attack, but I literally could not move so that I could get enough air in my lungs due to the pressure on my diaphragm). So beware that any question you specifically ask while scheduling, you may not get the actual truth and they may misrepresentthe services available at this facility.
Liz Wo: All they want is your money. They will ask you to do the unnecessary testing and check then send you all the bills. I went to Wake Radiology for breast mammogram, after the mammogram the doctor was not able to draw a conclusion so she consulted another doctor, they came checked on me together again and confirmed it was not an issue. Then they billed me for the extra service from the second doctor too which I did not ask for. I am quite healthy and I think it is not fair for me to be charged for the 2nd doctor, if the first doctor was knowledgeable enough then they would not have to bring the 2nd doctor. Horrible experience, will never use them again.
John Christensen: Very professional and friendly.
mary hicks: When I made appt. I was told the office was off Cary parkway,. Could not find when they called to verify appt they said panther Creek area. I called the office I was told to stay on hwy 55 (? Where). Very confused. I am 71 and don't know this area. Cancelling!

Wake Radiology UNC REX Healthcare - Cary Breast Center: what do users think?
Suzela M.: Very efficient and the mammo tech was awesome! So friendly. Everything was great!
Kaitlyn Burkholder: Everyone I interacted with was very kind and hospitable.
MFM: Always quick and caring.
melissa hall: Where is the office manager here? Have had several mammograms here as well as the main hospital. I prefer this center because it is close to home and has no hassle parking. Usually I'm quite happy here. I'm at very high risk for cancer due to genetics, and usually need multiple pics and ultrasounds and well as have had several biopsies/and lumpectomies. I recently had my (frequently done) mammogram here and have a suspicious mass requiring further testing. I've called for 9 days in a row and been on hold anywhere from 10 minutes to 25 minutes to make this appointment. I'm talking about calling once a day, I mean on hold 5 to 10 times PER day. My call was answered ONE time and I was told she couldn't help me and had to transfer me, on hold again for 17 minutes before I gave up. I have left my name and number on their voicemail several times, no return calls. In the mean time I continue to receive voice mails and text messages telling me I haven't made my "very important" appointment!!! Are you kidding??!! Who is running this place? Where is the office staff and manager? What a joke. I'll definitely be looking to make my follow up at another UNC facility at this point. This place needs to get their stuff together.
Susan Mason: I had a great experience here!! I had a biopsy done the nurses Jacqueline and Carmen were so sweet, kind, and caring. They made me feel so relaxed and made me feel like a member of their family. They explained everything to me in terms that I could understand before and during the process. Dr. Wellman went above and beyond to make sure she covered all of the basis to make sure she did everything possible to make me feel comfortable and relaxed during the procedure. She did more than I expected but explained everything so that I could understand what she was doing. I highly recommend these nurses and this doctor if you need anything like this done. These ladies definitely have the bedside manner you want in a situation like this.
Xiajun Liu: Doctor Jennifer is great!(I am sorry I am not quite sure whether I spell her name exactly the same, cause I am not a native speaker.) I was referred to do the ultrasound examination, and Jennifer is so nice, helpful, patient and professional! She knows I am very nervous, so she shows great empathy and does her best to help me to do the exam. I will give her 10 stars if possible!
Cynthia McCoy: Professionalism personified! The staff and specialist treated me with dignity and kindness. If there is a problem, than I want to know.
Nayla Mesned: My experience was great everyone was very helpful and friendly from staff to specialists and I got my results immediately that was big relief !
Jennifer Collins: I agree with previous comment, I have been going here for mammograms for over 15yrs. For the past 3 exams at least they have called me back for multiple rounds of x-rays and even an ultrasound the time before last. All negative. This last time tried to get me to do 3D up front, I said no but when they called me back, didn't offer 3D. If its supposed to be better why not do 3D instead of 2-3 rounds of more x-ray pics. I refused to do more and left. They called several times leaving threating messages that I must come back or the doctor would not be able to complete the diagnosis. They would be forced to send me a registered letter. Well they sent me a letter and then filed claim to insurance with coding that left it as Experimental procedure. Insurance would not pay, cost me $255 out of pocket. When I mentioned frustration with callbacks without naming facility to some friends, one friend had same experience at the same facility and had been going elsewhere for a couple of years with NO callbacks. The staff in general is friendly but refuse callbacks and they get nasty. Multiple voice messages all had a threatening message with irritated tone that I had not called them back. Your healthcare treatments are not your decision to make at this facility.
Mandy Torto: All my dealings (mammogram and child birth) at Wake Med Cary have been nothing but phenonmenal!
Christine Guan: Do not go to this center, they will intend to get you back for more unnecessary exams and ultra sound.
