Bull Moose Guns: what do users think?
John Marcus: Good inventory and great staff! Recommended!
Jefffahfah: Wasn't open during posted hours, with no mention on site or social media that they would be closed. Web site discrepancy has since been corrected with price of transfers. Small store inventory and relatively high prices. Still not a bad option for FFL transfers in the CLT area.
Monte Harwell: Excellent I take pleasure in recommending Bull Moose Guns
Vannessa Gallardo Ortega: First time purchasing a gun and I was completely clueless. I didn’t even know how the safety works, how to load nothing. I didn’t get the guys name but, as soon as I walked in I was greeted. Very polite and friendly he show me what was the best option for me the best thing right now. He was helpful he showed me everything from beginning to end ,answered all my questions. I have nothing but excellent things to say about the shop. Highly recommended it is completely clean excellent service I cannot say enough good things about this place .
Trevor Huffstetler: I’ve been looking for something for 2years they did not have it in stock but ordered it for me.
Jody A. Smith: It's a smaller place with a light selection but still some good guns and gear. Staff was nice and helpful.
Drew Baucom: I’ve been doing business with Bull Moose Guns for a while now and have always had a very pleasant experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Kyle always answers my question and educates me. He is extremely knowledgeable and always surprises me at how much he can spout off when I ask something. Most recently I took my grandfathers Model 15 gun in to have it refurbished. Kyle made it clear to me that the cost would be more than the gun would be worth which I thought was very honest of him. He of course understood it was a sentimental piece to me and thought it was great that I wanted to get my Granddad’s gun fixed up. They called me to look at it as they were working on it to make sure I was pleased with the progress before they just assumed I would like it. The results…I went in to pick it up and was floored at how nice it looked!!! Kyle researched a ton of things to restore it to as close to as original as it was back in the 1930’s. I had no idea it could look that good! Kyle went above and beyond to make sure I would be happy and I could tell he enjoyed refurbishing something that meant so much to me. He actual made a 4 part series on FB of him refinishing the gun. No doubt I will come back to these guys for my gunsmith needs!! Thank you folks at Bill Moose guns!!!
Mark H: Went there to get a shotgun barrel worked on by the gunsmith. Talked to a young guy and maybe manager/ owner. The owner said my standards were too high for the work on the shotgun barrel. Stated he did not know if they could meet my expectations. The owner seemed annoyed by my questions. I wanted to make sure it was going to be done right since welding was involved. He asked me "do you want us to do it or not"? Anyway, I took the shotgun barrel back and took it Hyatt's Guns. I won't ever be back.
rowdy Chester: I have not been back in in a while but there still open and I appreciate the fact that they are a small business
IngaLisa Burns: I call about some bullets and the gentleman was every rude with me. I don’t know anything about guns or bullets. He also didn’t want to take time with a customer. I hope that he wouldn’t do that with another customer that call for help. That is not a good business deal with the public.
Matthew Owens: Easily the best gun shop in the area third time buying a gun from them definitely won’t be the last avoid beltway like the plague as for firepower inc…well the reviews speak for themselves this place however is amazing highly recommended them
Alex Griffin: I really wanted to like this place, the staff was not as condescending as other reviews make them out to be, i believe that they are just busy. What i could not get over was the amount of price gouging going on. They had a used (and insanely dirty) M&P 15-22 on the shelf that was marked $699. You can literally buy a brand new one for $450 + Tax. While I was in the store the staff was buying 9mm ammo from a local hoarder, which I'm sure they sold for $1/rd.TLDR: shop is in a convenient spot but they are insanely overpriced. If you're a first time gun buyer do your research on fair market price before someone like this takes advantage of you.
matt burkey: Awesome experience! The staff working were very friendly and professional. I also enjoyed the great conversation while going through the transfer process. If you’re looking for a transfer in the charlotte area, I highly recommend this shop.
Carson D: Excellent shop to do business with. Very reasonable transfer price, good selection and staff that are very knowledgeable about firearms. Highly recommended!
Bren Co: A great experience. Great customer service. Thank you for your assistance
johnnie price: Wes was great on my transaction very friendly and kind great customer service and I will do my business there for a long time to come thanks for being in the community for us to enjoy
Greg Albright: Horrible Customer Service and poor business practices! I was told by an Employee that they had ammunition in stock that was compatible with my pistol. After a very lengthy conversation to be sure and clear that it was compatible I purchased this over the phone and they stated they would hold for me.After doing a little further research, prior to arriving at their location to pick up the ammo, I was informed it was not recommended to be used with my weapon. Within 30 minutes of my order, I called to ask for a refund . I was told that all purchases were final. I was speaking with the same person that had gave me misinformation originally and asked to speak with a manager. I was informed that the manager would also tell me that all purchases are final. I explained that an all purchases are final disclaimer usually represents goods leaving the premises and in this case the goods had not been picked up nor had I even entered the store.Needless to say the team at Bull Moose Guns would not refund my money, I told them I would be disputing the charges and they stated "go ahead, good luck". They charged my card anyway even though I've never stepped foot in the store nor have I picked up the items to this date over a month later.I am not sure why a local store owner would allow such horrible and unethical business practices, but be sure to stay away from Bull Moose Guns.I will be sure to keep updating this to warn others to Stay Clear and not to do business with such a dishonest and unethical Company!Regards,Matthews NC Resident and Proud to keep local businesses thriving, not Stealing!
Esoteric Jay: Great service. Knowledgeable staff. Both employees were wearing masks and only about 2 people allowed in the shop at the same time. Not a lot of parking space but adequate. A really enjoyable experience. Love my purchases.
w delgrosso: Excellent local gun store! Loads of inventory, including some really mean sauvestre 12 g slugs. Has a huge variety of AK shorties, really nice stuff, priced right. I'll be spending my next covid check here. Coins, has silver coins now, even had 2020 American Silver Eagles in stock, wow!!! Nobody has them!! Great staff covered all my questions and found what i needed. OPEN during pandemic, thank GOD!
Daysi Hart: I highly recommend this shop. Great customer service, Kyle and Drew were very attentive and courteous. Their prices are reasonable and they are following social distancing standards. This is a pretty cool shop with nice military decor. Do not take those negative reviews seriously, they are great people. Again, highly commend it!
Noel Galvez: property.

Carolina Sporting Arms: what do users think?
Ethaniel Wheeler: I took the Concealed Carry Handgun class with instructor Joey. He made the class fun and enjoyable while still learning a significant amount. He is extremely knowledgeable with many firearms and is a practicing gunsmith outside of work. He demonstrates real world scenarios tying in the laws and necessary information for everyday carrying.Joey is the best instructor you could ask for. He will help you with everything and make sure you are prepared enough to pass the class and carry.Joey teaches on the 3rd Saturday of the month. The range is clean and provides incredible air circulation. With lead removal being a priority they have sticky mats for the floor & de-lead removal soap for all patrons. The selection of firearms is far superior to many stores around. Providing many makes and models with adequate price tags fitting anyone's budget. Ammunition is plentiful in brand and caliber. You can't go wrong with taking your Concealed class with Joey or stopping by for the range.
Susan Stein: If you are a marginalized group - women, Black, queer, etc. - this shop should not be your first choice. Period.
Kari Mccoy: Had a great time on the range. Will definitely be back
ariel mckinstry: Meh...not really safety oriented but don't scratch up their range with those bullets..total scam to make money on 'range damage'. Clean facility, nice enough staff.
D Davis: I already visit this store, but my son got me a Ladies Marksmanship class for Mother's Day. I really enjoyed the practice time, and the instructor, Marshall, was very helpful. He gave me a lot of tips that really helped my aim (and also the tips made me realize how 'lazy' I'd grown with my regular get ready, aim, fire, routine!). Once I practiced what he preached, I did much better, and am very appreciative for the class, and his time and patience! There were only 5 of us ladies total, and he gave each of us the time we needed. (he also walked us to our cars since it was evening, that was very thoughtful!) I would definitely recommend a visit to CSA, and if you sign up for a class and get Marshall, you'll have a great class, and a good guy for your instructor!
Hunter: Took my CCH class with Joey and it was great, very informative and entertaining!!
Jake Crisci: Just wanted to take a second and shout out this awesome staff. I went to 5 stores before coming to this one and wish it was my first stop. Everybody was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the products they stock and I left more than satisfied.
Mike Stevenson: Brother Lee was exceptionally well with his customer service, and was very self motivated to help me in ways he didn't have to for me to accomplish the goals I am trying to reach. I'd recommend anyone to this sporting arms any day.
Russell Rowsell: Stopped in on a whim. Every single person we dealt with was fun, professional, and safety minded. I have never seen a better gun shop in all my travels. 10 out of 10
Michael Petrizzo: Love this place! Great selection of firearms, nice range and the staff is superb. I have taken one class there and plan to take more. Special shout-out to Lee for helping me with my latest purchase. Thank you!
Rob Pearson: Huge, clean, and friendly. This place is outstanding. The selection is vast and varied. The staff is highly knowledgeable and willing and ready to help the most expert or novice customer.
Mike Der: Decided to finally take the plunge into handguns after growing up learning about and using long guns, safely. I spent some time researching a few shops around Charlotte. I ended up choosing Carolina Sporting Arms and so glad I did! I started my journey by taking the First Steps and First Shots courses with Mike Simpson. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn about handguns the RIGHT way! Safety here at CSA is Paramount. Purchasing a handgun here was a highly comfortable and enjoyable experience. My salesperson Cam was very knowledgeable and intuitive to my preferences! When it came to jumping through the hoops of a first time handgun buyer, Lee Miller expertly provided not only assistance but tips, pointers and personal experiences making me feel at home here! Thanks to his personal touch, I returned on Saturday during a Springtime Sale to grab a membership from Ron Elliott. Once again, another impeccable staff member! This team I experienced was A+ top notch! And, let’s not forget how well this business maintains cleanliness throughout, Safety & Healthcare in the shooting ranges…I can’t tell you how happy and thankful I am to have had such a fun, exciting and informative experience at Carolina Sporting Arms! I can’t wait to continue taking classes and further enjoy my membership here!
Reid Baumann: Great experience as a beginner. Joey was very patient, prioritized safety and control and was a great teacher!
Vlad Gudz: I am very disappointed with the way I was treated. I do not recommend buying weapons here. A couple of months ago I bought a RAS-47 rifle. The rifle had problems from day one. I showed it to the workers and they told me everything is fine, I just need to shoot more. And every time I shot 2-3 cartridges were wedged. I contacted the manager - they decided that it should be sent for repair. For more than a month, they investigated what was wrong. Well, in the end, they returned the rifle and said that everything is fine. And again when firing, the cartridges wedged... I decided to disassemble and clean it. And there I noticed a crack. Brought it to the store and showed them. They decided to trade for an old AK-47. I refused, because it is an old-style rifle and it is impossible to attach a sight - optics and illumination... Then the owner wrote me a check and threw me out of the store. And canceled my annual subscription to the shooting range. I was indignant - why? I asked them to explain ... He told me not to come to them again, as if I had broken the rifle. And if I get even a couple of feet closer to the door of the store, the police will arrest me... I'm just in shock. 🤯 Here they sold me a broken rifle and accused me of breaking it.🤯 There are simply no words... 😳Where is the law? Where is justice?😮‍💨
Alvin Blair: Apparently there is a fine line between professionalism and racism. What I experienced today was blatant racism, this was confirmed by my Caucasian friend who happened to be a store manager in a store that was recently held up at gunpoint, who happened to be standing at my side. I don't want to shine a negative light on the entire store, it was specifically the two "persons" checking people into the gun range on 4/22/23. I can't leave out the fact that my Caucasian friend was asked if the the gun being purchased was for me. That was served with a bit more subtly. Ironically I've had my concealed carry for several years now and own several firearms. When asked by my friend a good place to purchase a firearm I recommended Carolina Sporting arms. Note: The new phrases to sugar coat racism is "respectfully" accompanied by "sir".
Christie Waite: Not my first time shooting, but my first time at CSA. I didn’t catch their names but you can tell the range staff are responsibly awesome. Greeted upon entering the store by 2 employees. All in all 10/10! We will definitely be coming back with a smile
Palazoloup: Great selection and knowledgeable sales staff. Visited today and spent an hour in the shooting range. Very well run, safe, secure and great service.
John W: Courteous, friendly, super clean, and a very affordable range with plenty of membership perks. It was so nice I signed up after my first session. I take friends and family there when they're in town. I'm a very satisfied member at CSA.Quick tip: Shotguns are slug only.
Adjoa Davis: My mom and I had an amazing time at Carolina Sporting Arms. This was our first time ever even touching a gun. Our instructor Joey was incredibly patient and made us feel safe the entire time. He walked us through the correct fundamentals of holding a gun and got us to shoot multiple rounds. He made the experience extremely exciting and fun, and any fears that we originally had walking in were gone. Our experience would not have been the same if it weren't for Joey, he was the best!!!
Mike Irwin: I have a large background in the gun industry. I worked in a gun store with an indoor gun range selling new guns and consignment guns. I was an NRA certified range officer. The 1st time I went to Carolina Sporting Arms, I had a very good interaction with the employees and was told that they do consignment guns. I have a lot of guns and I decided I would get consign a couple. One was a Mossberg MVP Patrol in 308 and a Smith and Wesson Victory 22 with a red dot optic. When I brought the guns in for consignment, I got a real stuck up attitude from the gentleman.. They were not interested, and gave me low ball offer, although I didn't want to sell to him I wanted to consign them. I was told well they're not Christian Arms or some high end gun so they weren't really interested in them. I was never told this when I went in the store the 1st time. The gentleman that talked to me was I would say the least rude. I shoot alot, I buy a lot of ammo, I buy guns and I will never walk in that store again. They could learn alot from the gun store I retired from!
Michele Reed: Can't use the stupid web site won't let you shop guess they don't want to sell?

Hyatt Gun Shop: what do users think?
Courtney Blake: Joe O was a great help. Ask for Joe O when you come in 🤸🏾‍♀️🤸🏾‍♀️
William Herman: My 1st time in the store . I’ve bought a 1911 online from them and got a good deal and shipping was fast . If you’re looking for something, they’ve most likely have it ! What a selection ,brands , and models to choose from . Everyone was happy to help and answer questions .
Tarheel Sandford: Not really a fan at all of the extra $29 dollar fee on handgun purchase taxes are already high enough bought a used gun to save money but that fee alone i might as well bought new elsewhere
Curtis Cash: Cannot say enough good about their gunsmith department. Drove 3 hours to let them repair a 45 yo Rem 1100, chronic but irratic feed problem. They worked the issue and stood by their work. Weapon fires flawlessly. Thank you for the outstanding work and customer service.
Jim Thomas: Smooth transaction and transfer to out of state FFL
Jeff Hill: Had a small problem with shipping and it was taken care of immediately. Very pleased with the service.
Gregory O'Bruba: First time in and the customer service Ireceived with the gun purchase was outstanding. They spent time showing methe features.
Anthony Millwood: Whatever your interest may be in the shooting sports, Hyatt's Gun Shop can supply your needs. If it pertains to firearms, you'll probably find it there, and, if they don't have it on sight, they can get it. They've always been able to help me with all my needs. If you've never been there, I recommend you give them a visit. You'll be amazed at their inventory, and you'll be impressed with the friendly, and, knowledgeable staff. Give them a try.
TIM George: Great shop and everyone there is Profesional and has plenty of knowledge. If you need a gun or product they have it or can get it. And as a former military person I love thier business practices and thourough attention to details.Great crew of men and women !!Keep it up Larry!
Carl: When it comes to one stop shopping for firearms, ammo and firearm related accessories, this is the place to go.When other shops don't have it in stock, Hyatt does. The staff there is extremely knowledgeable and can answer any questions you may have as well as to help you with any concerns you may have.I can recommend them without hesitation.
Angie Owens-Manson: The instructor Jerry was knowledgeable and good at his job. Parrish put us at ease from the time we got there. Our class was a good mix of attendees. The ladies in the Pro Shop and the Grill demonstrated excellent Customer Service - it was an overall fantastic day. Thank you Hyatt for a memorable experience for me and my sons!
Lucky Charms: Hands down the best.
Ken W: Professional experience. Great staffing. Overall great experience. Mr Hyatt is very friendly and personable.
Sean Henry: Pretty good experience all around looking forward to another purchase..

cordarro richardson: Randy in sales was everything you could ask for in a salesman. Very knowledgeable and helpful. He did not mind answering questions he the best. Thank you
Steven Butler: Very pleasant purchase experience, worked the sales rep Conner who was very patient and knowledgeable don’t try to push my decisions one way or the other gave me information to the best of his ability and let me make my own decisions.
VP @nononsenseforex.com: I did not expect to find the amount and quality of coins at a hybrid gun/coin shop, but they had a LOT, and the service from Carter and Mitch put it over the top. Will definitely return next time I'm in Charlotte.
sunshine swann: Thank you Connor.. you mad a scary experience non intimidating!! I went in not really wanting to purchase home protection however Conner helped eased my my concerns he was patient kind and very understanding.. thank you so much!
Mike Schmidt: This is a great gun shop! Larry Hyatt is super and really involved with his store and the employees are knowledgeable and mostly friendly. Since I discovered them I hadn't even bother visiting other Charlotte gun shops. However, for the last few years their inventory of bolt-action rifles, revolvers and ammunition isn't what it used to be, they typically don't discount much anymore and the ordering process has gotten more difficult. I mainly still go there for their gunsmith service.
Gary Burford: My purchase was by website and telephone…call handled courteously and professionally. Guns arrived well packed and in exact condition as described over the phone. Very pleased in every regard. I continue to watch Hyatt email offerings as I would confidently buy again. //Gary B

Firepower, Inc.: what do users think?
Sean Mears: Firepower is great! Their customer service is second to none. Sometimes I get so caught up in conversation I forget I'm there to buy something. There really isn't any pressure to buy anything from the staff, if you want to look at 15 guns and go home and ponder over your options they're fine with that and you'll get just as much attention as the dude that buys a gun every week. Firepower has a great selection of used firearms that is constantly updated, you never know what's going to be there next time. They also have a lot of stuff you won't find at the other big box gunshops; tons of revolvers, lever action rifles, etc. I've never regretted a purchase I've made at Firepower, I always get the best deal for what I'm looking for and sometimes for what I'm not looking for. They also have a range with probably 50 or so (estimate) rental firearms so you can test out different makes, models, calibers, before you commit to purchasing a gun you might otherwise not like.
Jerrand Rego: Went there for the first time yesterday, the place looked abandoned, 1 car in the parking lot, not at all welcoming. But I was just looking for a part, brought in my PCC Pistol for us to make sure it was the right part, the guy handles it, says it's the right part, I say I'll take it. Put the gun back back, then the guy starts asking questions regarding if it's a pistol or a sbr(are you the Atf?) I kinda make it seem I didn't understand, he asks again, now with a more serious tone, so I say it's a Sbr. Then he keeps going. "Have you filled the ppw for it?" I'm like, what? He asks again, "Have you filled the ppw?" At this point, I just wanted to buy the part and leave, so I say yes, everything is good. Not satisfied, he asks, "Do you have the ppw with you?" I say no, then he comes back with, you must carry it with any sbr/silencer/machine gun. So I was like, ohh, my bad, I didn't know that. He sarcastically comes back, looking at his co-worker it's been the law since the 1980s... What a douche, we already have the atf to worry about, now you get harassed by gun store employees! Definitely, first and last time I'll step foot in that place!
C Taylor: Good place to practice my marksmanship and the employees are very studious.
Jason Brice: Great prices, great staff - all in all my new go to shop!
Lillian McDonald: I had a wonderful experience. Lots of very nice weapons, at a very responsible price. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great firearm, etc. The shooting range was awesome 👌.
Luis Medero: Great place with fair prices and awesome guys behind the counter .
Robert and Liz Carmichael: Best prices in town. This is a smaller, old school type range. Nothing high tech or fancy, which is just what I like. Great variety of guns available to purchase and rent. If you're an experienced shooter and just want to get in and out of a range with no hassle, this place can't be beat.
Miles Miller: This place is great. Always treated with respect, and range fees are reasonable.
Christopher Larock: Awesome !!!!reasonably priced time , very knowledgeable and friendly staff ………..
Dark Justice: Each time I visit I have a good time. The gentlemen are always willing and able to assist. Me and my family enjoy our time we spend together. We are never rushed and always feel welcome.
Donald Stephenson: Awesome group of guys that are very knowledgeable and the best prices in the area
jerry miller: The man that owns this place is a hothead, rude, inconsiderate, hateful person that should never be allowed to touch a firearm much less sell them. Do not do business here. He says he doesn't care about your business
Jack C: Best place to shoot and train a family memberStaff is very friendly they make you feel comfortable to ask questions
Jerome King: Great place. New to area. I hadn't fired in a long time but was very comfortable with the facility and staff here. They also have a nice selection of guns and rifles to select from.
Jazmine Grier: Nice friendly customer service. Had exactly what I was looking for at a good price. Their range prices are highly competitive for the area. Will definitely shop here again.
Cody Reed: The person working there told me I couldn't shoot my homemade firearm in the range because it doesn't have a serial number and they will lose their ffl if I bring my nonserialized arm into the shop at all they also have very high prices and bad attitude
Travis Kerley: Very nice place
Manny Robles: FYI store closes at 5pm Sat, but Range shuts down at 4PM.
George Hedling: Gotta give it to the google image with every disregard for safety and trigger finger placementYa don't even need to walk in to see this place is a joke
Jeff Cockrane: Professional, friendly and very helpful people helped me from the first day I went there. Very good firing range.
skyjames k: Use to be a regular place for me to purchase firearms. But when I was going a few years back. No one paid me attention. They weren't busy. Just talking to each other. I went and came back the following days still same thing. So I just went elsewhere. At least hyatt they remember me and I am helped upon right when walking in. I always leave there with a firearm.
