galia pomerlyan: Today my fiancé and I went to look at wedding bands. I also brought along a wedding band I bought online that I wanted a price on for either a trade in or a sell price. I felt like once I said the trade in the salesman was a little colder towards us but that could just be me. We looked at bands and then I asked if they could look at the band I brought in and let us know what they could do about a trade price. He went to the back with the ring (I can’t remember his name but he was an older gentleman). When he came back he said it’s 14K white gold but unfortunately they are not diamonds. I was absolutely shocked. I could not believe these were fake diamonds in this ring. My fiancé asked, well if it’s not a diamond what stone is in there? And he said these are Cubic Zirconia stones. I didn’t know what to say. We said thank you and left. Right when we got outside I said to my fiancé there is no way these are fake diamonds. I used to work in a jewelry store And I looked at diamonds everyday, these are real diamonds. We then went to another jewelry store nearby and asked them to look at the ring and they told us these are 100% diamonds. I couldn’t understand why on earth a jeweler would look at real diamonds and tell a customer those are not real diamonds. The only thing we could think of was maybe they didn’t want to do a trade. That would have been totally fine with me. I knew they were low quality diamonds and had lots of inclusions which was fine with me. I would have respected them more had they just said they were not interested in low quality diamonds instead of straight up lying to us. The other jewelry store was so helpful and could not believe this either. They took out a handheld scope and let us look for ourselves and see the inclusions. Cubic zirconia would have had no inclusions. I can’t believe that a trained jeweler could have missed the inclusions, so the conclusion is they lied to us. I’m sorry for this long post, but if you have taken your jewelry to this store and they told you it is fake, I HIGHLY recommend you go to another jeweler to get another opinion. I would have respected the truth more than a lie. I will not take my business here and I will tell anyone who asks to avoid this jewelry store in the future.

He never pressured me into buying something the first time I went there, which could have easily swayed me away from being a customer.
