d delong: Cheap Joe's moved in 2023! Too bad it's farther away from me and more inconvenient. But the good news it looks like better parking because several times I tried to buy in person and previous location parking made that impossible. Oh well back to ordering online.

Lauren Bilski: I went looking for an adhesive to glue my coffee mug back together. I was hoping they'd have a kintsugi kit. They didn't have it, which I knew might be a long shot. Most of the stuff was geared towards painting. I was bummed mostly because the 3 people working didn't offer to help and barely said hello. May go back in a few months.

Artemis: It works. There is a drought of good art supply stores in the Charlotte area, so if you are looking for someplace other than Michael's or Hobby Lobby, this is your best bet. It's a little small and not the biggest selection but you'll probably find what you need. The staff aren't always the nicest but I'm here for the art supplies.

Holly Schoenfeld: I hope Management reads this review. I went to Cheap Joe’s for the very first time on Saturday. When I went up front to pay for my supplies I was surprised to learn that 4 out of the 8 items were incorrectly priced. I purchased a ArtBin Totefolio. The price on the plastic wrapping read $41.79. Since you cannot see the prices as they are being rung up (on the register) I asked the Salesperson “that’s $41.00 right”? She said “No. It’s $59.99” I explained to her that all of the ArtBin Totefolio’s are listed at $41.79. She replied by saying “I will do this once but every thing has gone up in price and we just moved here a month ago and are short handed so we haven’t been able to reprice everything”.Well I just looked on your website and guess what I saw today (see below) The Tote Folio is $41.79. So your associate was going to charge me another $18.20 while making me feel she was doing me a favor by selling me the tote at $41.79.Overall just very disappointed with My experience and that’s unfortunate because I really liked the store.This was my first and last visit. Less artsy and eclecticly decorated than the other 2 stores, but hopefully they will grow into that, because it really is a fun aspect of the other stores. Update: they are moving locations soon, so I would call before going!!

Chris took the order for the last two jobs, and introduced options we had not considered, but were perfect for our needs. The last two items were relatively small, symmetrical cross stitch pieces. He asked if we'd considered a round mat. We picked them up last night, and we're thrilled by the way they looked. The colors and the shape really brought out the details. The previous order included an original oil that I'd had for 25 years without framing. I knew what I wanted, but Chris's guidance about scale was reassuring. The results really popped.

Needles, frames, patterns and of course, all the yarn you can imagine in different colors, thicknesses and such.Easy to find it in the store, pick what she needed and then pay for it. I have no idea if this is pricy or cheap - not my hobby.

shalom charlotte: They now have scan your own order out. You have to swipe at least 17 times and then call someone over before you can ring out now. That's after spending 15 minutes walking around trying to find one person who works there when you can't find what you're looking for.

Memory Morgan: Lots of arts and crafts goodies. I want to spend way too much money everyone I go in there because my brain goes into overdrive thinking about all the fun projects I can do.They used to have in-person creating classes that anyone could attend but they stopped having them when COVID started. I asked an employee this evening whether they’ve started the classes back up again. She said they are not but hope to soon; they are waiting for a decision from higher ups that it’s safe to start having the in-person classes again.There ARE online classes you can sign up for on Michael’s website. I’m holding out for the in-person classes though. 🙂One last thing, I just found out today that the Stonecrest Michael’s is an official UPS drop-off site. As long as your package is already boxed up and has the shipping label on it, they’ll scan your package and hold it for UPS to pick it up. Convenient when The UPS Store is closed for the day. 😄 It’s also a pickup location, so (to my understanding) you can tell UPS to deliver your packages there and pick them up in the store. I’ve been shipping a lot of things recently so I was excited to find out that they offer that service.

Shay: Tionna wasn’t being very friendly at the front register. I came in to pick up a package and she claimed they did not have my package. I told her it’s for pickup and she told me to “go over there” and pick up the package. I asked her where over there was and she told me the red boxes. My package was not over there either and I came back to the register to Tionna. She told me again they did not have it behind the registers and that she’s getting off for the day and for me to press a button for the manager. I called for a manager and the manager was able to find my package behind the register. Tionna did not even make an effort to look for it and was also very unfriendly. A couple of guys were told that their package wasn’t their either and she turned them away. I’m pretty sure their packages was there she just did not care to look.

Seraphina SB: Didn't have what I was looking for in stocks, no employees around to ask for help, and the register employee decided to carry on a conversation with the person in front of me for a long time well after the transaction was over which was rude. I finally just walked up with my things and she started checking my items out. Don't know if I'd come back.

Lori Alexander-Biggerstaff: So I ran into Michaels unaware of the time. I knew exactly what I needed and was greeted as soon as I walked in by a gentleman asking if I needed help finding something. I told him paint and once we determined what kind he pointed me in the right direction. I browsed the aisle for maybe 30 seconds and a lady came across the speakers saying it 6:58 and they were closing. I made eye contact with the nice young man that greeted me and said "oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I'll be quick, I didn't realize you were closing." He said, "no worries ma'am. You've got 2 minutes and if you need a couple more, that's fine too." I was literally speechless. Almost EVERY retail store I've been in over the last few months that were last minute, near closing time, I've been rushed, treated horribly rude and even told I couldn't shop and would need to come back the next day. Some even closed up to 20 minutes early. I've done retail mgmt and I get it that it's frustrating to have people come in minutes before closing. I go out of my way NOT to be that customer that takes advantage 15 minutes or more after the store closed and still shopping. I try really hard not to go last minute period but sometimes it just can't be helped. But it was hugely refreshing that he never mentioned the time, just hello and offered to help. That store is a good bit away from me but I've decided it is now my go to for my crafting needs.... Psst.... I have a Michaels literally less than 5 minutes away and let's just say, they could learn A LOT from the staff at this store! Thanks guys! I'll see you very soon!
