Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
Shreya Jay: One stop shop for all your book needs. They always have a wide range of selection from kids to adults and from fantasy to fiction. Always updated with newest releases in the market it’s the best place to shop for books
Derek Robertson: One of the best B&N locations in the Charlotte area. Selection is always good, the store and cafe are clean, and from a customer service standpoint they appear fully staffed & willing to assist.
Mayra Martinez Peña: I recently visited Barnes and Noble in South Park and I must say, it was a truly enjoyable experience. The store had a vast selection of books across various genres, making it a paradise for book lovers like myself. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, readily available to assist me in finding the books I was looking for. The ambiance of the store was cozy and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for browsing and reading. Overall, Barnes and Noble in South Park is a haven for book enthusiasts, and I highly recommend paying a visit for a memorable literary experience.
sonja b: Lots of selection, good layout, and helpful employees.
Alexander Baldwin: It's a good bookstore, but there were two things they said they had in stocks, but neither they nor I could find it, which was annoying.
Steven Zeller: They didn't have my book in stock, but they ordered it for me, and I didn't have to pay until I picked it up. The wait time was acceptable, the store is clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Elizabeth Mendoza: I wish there were more Barnes & Noble. It is a pleasure to go there, and see the large selection of good books, toys, magazines, and many other things. You can also enjoy a cup of coffee while you read a good book.
Sean Erdrich: Stuck queuing for ages. Spent 15 minutes waiting to even be acknowledged at the cafe, then when nobody was at the circulation desk I had to wait another 10 minutes just to find out they didn’t have the book I was looking for. Also the bathrooms were dirty.
Dean Calhoun: A very knowledgeable staff person talked with me about my genre preferences. Then she made several helpful suggestions .
Tray Nelson: Beautifully large Barnes & Noble store with an extensive selection of books, magazines & merchandise! Come prepared to browse!
bhavish b: Any book lovers, this is a paradise. I was very much happy with their collection ranging from fiction to science books. I picked up quite a few books even though I would be traveling back home.Their stem toys section was also great. They have some board puzzle games as well. I did pick their National geographic games and VEX robot builder for my 9 year old kid.
DDY: Very nice place
Emily M: Really kind and helpful workers, good selection
Jackie Patterson: Excellent service. They had the I book wanted. It was pulled and reserved for purchase upon my arrival. A little caveat, remind cashier of the store’s online price; save some $$.
Teddy Spiliopoulos: Who doesn't love a good book store that is open and well lit and chuck full of goodness. Always the loveliest and most knowledgeable staff.
April Eaker: Love this location, staff super friendly and helpful.
DrJ M A: No one helped, or they pretended I wasn't there.
PandaPaws Isabella Joy: A real bookstore near home where kids can spend time unplugged. Coffee, books, and something for everyone.
kimberly hamlin: It is a comfortable environment. I was able to get what I was looking for.
R C: Great customer service, very welcoming and clean, and most importantly great selection of books.
Oscar de la Torre: I have visited this library for many years. I have always loved it. Well located (some things to do at Birkdale), with kind attendants and coffee inside... I only regret that they thinned up their holdings, but I understand that B&N had to do that in all their stores in order to keep up with online book stores... Still, a good library, and the only hope for those who live in Northern Charlotte 😂

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
AJK AJK: Big book store. Staff was helpful and nice. The coffee shop inside is a plus. Has a wide selection of books and movies. Comics are mostly trade paperbacks.
Marianne Arini: Huge, it's possible to be alone and read.
Andy Nortz: Books! What more can I say!
Ricky Vacca: Great place to sit and read. Right next to the Food Court!!
Sarah Raleigh: The staff here is VERY helpful and knowledgeable. They are friendly and everyone seemed to really like their job. I was also really encouraged to see the place so full of young people buying actual books! I just assumed that younger people preferred e-readers or audio books and I was SO wrong! Anyway, the place was clean, well organized and full of friendly faces.
SungyWungy Bawi: It was great at Barnes & Nobles. I went there to buy a kpop album. There were so many choices so I had trouble picking just one. I ended up taking Skz's 5 star album. The albums are a bit pricey😭😭 But overall, Barnes & Nobles is great!!
Jermaine McCoy: Great variety, large store with an amazing selection. Clean with a friendly staff
Tanika Dixon: Barnes and noble is always great. Everyone was so helpful today. I have one issue. B&N, why did you move the book marks from the checkout area.? Every time I buy a book I buy a bookmark. This is a fun thing to do as I have many different book marks. Please put them back. Also, while I am waiting in line, it's fun to browse.
Tracey Choroco: I needed to kill some time before a flight out of CLT and I spent a few hours at this B&N. The cafe made me a fast drink, the books and vinyl selection was deep, and the Wi-Fi had great coverage. If you go upstairs, you can find a place to chill by the windows overlooking the parking lot. I pulled a wooden chair over and had a great view as I worked in silence.
Leighanne Painter: Love it
Jaime's Dog Show: gotta support the brick and mortar store as much as we can.
Kristina Robinson: Ok experience.
doomofraven: Crazy good selection of manga and comic omnibuses!!!
Ara Draeger: Figure section looks like a tornado hit it broke figures bought one for nephew and found out its missing parts to it
Shannon Bodie: Great selection of various genres. I was actually able to locate an associate on the floor to help me find my purchase.
Kevin Brigman: Good place but they need to update there star trek novels and there DVDs
Alvin Ceasear: They had plenty of books, and the front desk was very helpful.
Thats One Classy-Lady: Ryan the barista and Alora the Cafe manager are awesome. My daughter made a great mess of her drink and spilt it everywhere and they made her a new one. They even made her feel less embarrassed by telling her accidents happen. I really do appreciate the service we got today!
Rick Love: Good experience- found most of what we wanted.
James Kamerath: Great place to relax and find a good book.
Lily Barnes: Very helpful staff and very good variety and well stock

Barnes and Noble Charlotte: what do users think?
Kassade Edwards: RUDE and NASTY!!!!! trying to blame me for a mistake on their part. Awful customer service over the phone, and they don't take accountability for anything. Oh and they loose books!💀
Marc: Great store to grab UNCC gear and also snacks! Nice service from the staff too. Polite and helpful.
Eli Peeli: My online orders are always filled. My main concern is the prices. They mark everything up, especially on the first floor where all it is is college stuff and electronics. I was trying to find an ID holder and all they had was a Vera Bradley one. One was $18 and the other was $40. It's honestly ridiculous
Michael Lor: First off, they couldn't find my order--very unorganized. Secondly, they're literally scammers and thieves. I bought three items, but I only got two of them. According to the receipt they gave me, I did buy two items. However, my bank statement says they still took out money for my third item. So, did I buy it or not? I went to front desk and one person said I didn't buy it, but another person said that because my third item is a digital-copy textbook, I will and should already have received an access code via "an email." Okay, so I did buy my third item? Why is it not in the receipt they gave me. Now, I have no evidence of my purchase. Then I went to check my order history in my bookstore account and it also says that I bought two items; however, one item was $42.86 and the other was $31.30. The sum of the two items equals $74.16. So why is my total $116.15? Last time I check, tax was around 7% not 56.62%. Yeah, I definitely bought my third item so where is the access code? I have yet to received the supposed "email" with my access code. Speaking of access code, quite a handful of these reviews says that their access code doesn't even work, so now I'm just scared. I'm already so stressed and the semester hasn't even started yet.
Alan Oneal: This is not a normal Barnes and Nobles! The books are all blocked off by a fence and closed to the public! It's literally a college t shirt store. No books available here. Don't waste your time if you are looking to buy actual books!
Erin Westberg: Very helpful staff and great selection of shirts
Kay Macdonald: Guy in textbooks was great. Pleasant face and very helpful. Answered the phone a few times.
Tonny Darren: This bookstore has messed up my order two semesters in a row.The first semester, they had delivered the incorrect textbook to me and absolutely *refused* to exchange it for the textbook I had ordered in the first place until I began to speak with my bank in regards to reversing the charge. The following semester, the bookstore tried everything possible to refuse to accept a return on a textbook I realized I did not need. When I finally was able to return my textbook, a separate employee assisted me with the transaction, and even admitted themselves that the bookstore attempts to scam their students by attempting refusing due returns for no reason. Will never be shopping here again.
Mihail Dichev: Manager needs an attitude adjustment
Claire Hutchens: this place is bloody expensive- beyond need in my opinion. I mean, most people on campus don’t have that much money to begin with and then you put a marked up bookstore/merch store on campus? Greedy people run this place and the UNC system.
Bryan Bush: Jeez the prices here for Charlotte gear are high! Good selection, yes, but it's like you gotta take out a home equity loan to buy a t-shirt.
Matthew Lisk: I ordered textbooks online and had them shipped to my house, but I never received them. I got nothing but a runaround when I called and emailed to rectify the issue. UPS sent me back to B&N Charlotte, and B&N Charlotte finally said that my issue was not their problem or responsibility, and told me to go back to UPS. I'm out of hundreds of dollars and I don't have my textbooks. If you have an issue, don't expect them to rectify it.This isn't even the first issue I had with this store, especially when they put one of my needed books on back-order in the past.Edit: This was later rectified, but the experience was still not great.
Darryl Cox: Expensive
Larry Newsom: The staff was less that cooperative. The selection was limited and after traveling from West TN, to see my favorite team,I was disappointed.
Kevin Hicks: Cool
Joe Davis: Waste of time and money.
Asia Riddle: My Boyfriend purchased an access code from the bookstore for one of his engineering classes (cost was $130) and it didn’t work when he tried to activate it. He went back to the bookstore and they told him he could not return it because the shrink wrap had been opened. But there is no possible way to see the access code without opening the packaging. Manager told him that she didn’t care and he was just out the $130 and still has no code to access his textbook. Very poor customer service when students already pay so much for books anyways.
William Schmidt: They sold me an access code that didn't work, then refused to accept the return. It also cost 50 dollars more than the other option through the textbook website. Save your money and go anywhere else. The manager was rude and didn't even offer an apology for the inconvenience.
Jessie Hanna: The worst customer service I have ever personally experienced. Does not work well with college students. Do yourself a favor and buy your textbooks somewhere else.
James Lenoir: Truly disappointing. Delays, inflated costs, there is simply no benefit to students using their services. Just look elsewhere.
Jordan Mitchell: Charlotte needs to ditch Barnes and noble ASAP. I get that covid had an impact on logistics and what not but for the athletic department to go through an entire rebrand and the school bookstore website have such lack of availability in new gear/apparel is embarrassing. Absolutely embarrassing. And at this point it’s been over 6 months since the rebrand and it’s gotten worse!
