steve frame: I had the convertible top on my Mustang repaired at C Fredericks. I had a hydraulic problem. Fred did a great job for a lot less than the dealer. What really impressed me though was his honesty. While storing my car for the night an employee bumped into another car. The place where it was hit was on the rubber bumper in the back. When I picked up my car he tried to show me and I coundn't see it, he had me move around to where I could see what had happened. I woiuld never have noticed it if he hadn't pointed it out. I looked at it and it was barley a scratch. I said well, just let it go, i would buff it out later. He said I should fix it and he would pay for it. He said because its on the rubber bumper that in time the paint would crack. So i should get it fixed and he deducted the cost from my bill for fixing the top. So he has my business forever.

Roger Mitchell: I had sustained upholstery damage to the driver's seat of my 2012 Honda Pilot. When I called the body shop at Hendrick Honda of South Boulevard about repairing my seat, they recommended and referred me to Fred. Fred did a quote for the repair by phone based on photos I provided (saving me a long drive for just an estimate) and when I approved he ordered the parts and scheduled the car into his shop. When he saw the car he realized that there were two plastic pieces also broken on the driver's seat. I approved that additional work and I'm glad he pointed that out as those parts would have eventually broken completely away. He did a great job repairing the upholstery and replacing the plastic trim pieces on the seat and did so for the price quoted. Fred is friendly, helpful, and a trustworthy professional at his craft. Getting information over the phone was incredibly painful and then when I took the time to show up with products needing repair to get a quote it was an even bigger waste of time.I wouldn't trust this shop (if you can even call it that) or the people working there to the leather on my vehicle. Vinyl on a golf cart maybe, but not the leather on the car I enjoy every day. It was a filthy hole and when I came into the shop both workers were taking a smoke break inside and seemed irritated that someone actually found them.If you just have to call them then expect half of the conversation coming from their end to be about other shops that you should call. They'll make you well aware that they spend most of their time repairing airline seats and they don't have the time to deal with you.This is good as there are much better options locally, including many that will come to you. It shouldn't take much work to find someone professional who actually has time to deal with you and actually wants your money.

Busy Bee Brown: I spoke to Greg over the phone just briefly about an estimate to replace the rear glass in my convertible and he was very rude for no apparent reason. I was very surprised that he reacted negatively concerning the matter. He has given me the lowest estimate but l can't get past the attitude. l'm thinking he may need to have a psychological evaluation, because he is very touchy. I will not risk dealing with him in order to save a few hundred dollars, my peace of mind is more valuable to me. I don't normally write reviews but thought his attitude needed to be addressed. If you decide to do business with him, just know you are taking a risk.

Doctor B: After another company refused to perform the job and simply tried to get me to buy a new seat cover, I took my precious seat cover to Chambers Upholstery. It was stitched for a mere FRACTION of what a seat cover would cost and it only took him 15 minutes.I found his personality hilarious. And by the end of the 15 minutes, we were both talking and laughing. Just don't go in there acting entitled and being a jerk. No entrepreneur is going to put up with that. That's why they work for themselves!! I know because I am one!

Terry Duncan: I was disappointed by Mr. Chambers customer service. He is a one man operation operating out of an old service station on North Tryon St. near downtown. He had previously put on a car seat cover for me for a classic car. Took him about 2 months to finally do the job, which should take about two hours. His work was satisfactory at that time. I reluctantly carried the other car seat for him to put the seat cover on in July 2014. Big mistake! He implied it would be ready in several weeks. I called in August, about one month later, to check on the progress of about a two hour job. He angrily told me not to call him again, he would call me when it was ready. He was very rude at the time. I wrote him a letter in late September, asking him for a status. No reply. Finally, I called again in November 2014 to check on the status again. It has now been about 120 days since I left the seat with him. He told me to come get my "stuff", it was not ready. He then hung up on me. I went and picked up my seat and car seat cover. I know you are thinking I must had done something wrong to him for him to treat me this way, I did not. He has a very abrasive personality, never saw him smile once. I will not use him again and I suggest you use caution before you take anything to him. I usually do not write reviews, but I had to let everyone know of the very poor service and treatment I received. Use your own judgment!

Bridgitt Ku: I just bought a new Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and wanted to shop around before paying dealer price for heated leather seats. Classic Soft Trim's prices are significantly more affordable than both dealer prices and all the other auto upholstery shops in Charlotte. My seats look amazing and the service was impeccable too. I had to wait a little longer than expected at the shop due to shipping delays, and the owner gave me a discount on the total price for the inconvenience without me even asking. Would absolutely recommend this place!!!
B R: Night and Day! That’s the description everyone gives when they see the transformation that Steve and his amazing team at Classic Soft Trim did for my Toyota FJ Cruiser. I wish they had a photo ability because I am so proud to show it. I had the cloth seats with leather backing and I upgraded to Classic Soft Trims all black leather with double diamond red accent stitching and the option to have contrast stitching of the same red on the head rests and sides for continued accent. It looks so amazing and feels unbelievable. Not to mention it’s like a new car smell. The double diamond stitching gave it that luxury feel and the accent color just the right subtle pop of custom. I could not be happier to recommend them if you are looking to transform your car and revive it. Exceptional service and amazing pricing. Oh yeah best part is we made the installation appointment, I went and immediately they started working on it and within an hour and a half. Brand new interior. Amazing Customer Service!
Stat Chat: My Honda CRV had leather put on by this company. It's lasted a decade. I recently brought it back to them because the driver armrest was cracking via normal wear. Without hassle they removed the armrest and told me they'd order that color and call me back when it was ready for pickup. A week or so later I went back and not only did they put on the driver side armrest (the package had two covers they recieved) they also replaced my passenger armrest for no charge. I really appreciated what they did for me.

David M: Definitely priced well, it's mostly worth the money I guess; if anything for the quality materials. I wish it was a little neater of a job though. Stitching is not as clean as I'd hoped and there are folds in the leather the guys told me would "shrink" out that didn't. Don't get me wrong, it does look pretty good overall and service is great, I just thought since they do work for dealerships it would be factory level appearance... or at least better than what I got.

I bought my 2019 Tucson Night edition about 2 wks ago, and unfortunately it did not have leather seats. So I called Hyundai of Gastonia and they gave me the number of Classic Soft Trim.I just got my new leather seats installed today in just under 2 hrs at a good price!! They did a great job and installed real leather. I love my car even more now!! I'm definitely referring anyone who wants after market leather and/or heated seats! Don't hesitate, call them today! You won't be sorry!
