The same is true for the eventual solution, although I can remark the service was great, thorough, and cost efficient - topped off with an accommodating atmosphere.Will definitely return, if and when the need arises.
dean lumish: Long overdue review. I have a 2010 Jeep SRT8 and recently moved to Charlotte, NC. Been searching for a mechanic that I can trust in the area. Found Dynamic Auto Works and saw on one of the images my exact same car parked out in front of the shop. Been dealing with transfer case issues ever since I owned the car, but back when the car was under warranty mopar kept replacing it with the same junk mopar transfer case. I called Dave and explained to him my situation. With in a day he got back to me and couldn’t be more friendly and professional and had me come in with the car. He knew exactly what to do and had all the professional connections in the industry to get the right part for the car and had the issue fixed with in a week. Was almost ready to sell my car as I thought this transfer case issue would never go away, but since meeting Dave and bringing my car in to get fixed, it has been driving like new and I have finally been able to enjoy driving it with out the worries of the transfer case going bad. Not only was he able to diagnose the issue right away, but he quoted me an extremely fair price and was fully transparent throughout the process. Glad to know I have someone I can trust with my automotive issues and will certainly be coming back with any issues I have in the future. Would recommend Dave and the staff at Dynamic Auto Works to anyone in the area, truly professional, genuine and great people to work with.

Chris D: Had oil change done on my GL 450 and service cost $45 less than a nearby chain service place charges for a “European” oil service. They have always provided my vehicles with excellent service with no pressure on any recommendations they provide. Most recommendations for additional service have been related to upcoming preventive maintenance. Also, they past services they have done have fixed the problems on the first try with pricing significantly less than a dealership. Highly recommend them!

As a young woman, sometimes when I walk into car places, they see me as a target to rip me off in multiple ways, but that didn’t happen here. We were set to leave back home to Michigan on 12/30/2021 after driving down for a funeral and there was an issue with my battery, as my car would not start. Dave said to bring it into him and he’ll see what he can to do get us back on the road as soon as possible. He had us back on the road the next day. He squeezed us in last minute and did everything in his power to do what he could so that we didn’t have a costly fix. I would recommend this place a 100x over. Maurice Holman: Dave and crew came highly recommended but every time I took my car in something else would break within a couple of days.I initially went in for an AC diagnosis and when I got my car back the engine was misfiring (ignition coil needed to be replaced). The next repair was to replace a valve cover gasket and power steering pump. It took two days before the power steering hose breaks, which was another costly repair (labor) for repairing something in an area they were just in.A few weeks later I noticed my car was still leaking oil (valve cover gasket), and when I popped the hood to check, I saw the vacuum hoses were not connected and had the plastic clips broken off in them, the vacuum cylinder itself was loose and in the wrong location, and the bolt to another ignition coil was halfway off and the coil was not set in properly (now I'm thinking about the earlier misfiring incident).Over all, these were expensive repairs that never seemed to get completely fixed (valve cover still leaking oil). I'm sure there are people who had a great experience with Dynamic Auto, but I would never go there again.Services:Engine repair,Air conditioning

Over the last several years, he's talked to me and taught me things for hours, knowing full well I was going to go home and fix it myself many of those times, but it never mattered to him that he wouldn't be benefiting from it that day. Jim Mullick: I took my 2015 Honda Accord to get the brake pads replaced because dealer said I was due. So I thought let me take to Asia Works because they charge less, instead of changing the pads they told that they were still good to use for another two oil changes. The dealer was trying to cheat me. They are very honest and professional. I would give them my business first than to the dealer. Dankz: Hello I have a 2003 Acura CL Type S with the 5 speed auto and I wanted a quote for transmission rebuild. I have started to experience some of the dreaded slipping and checked the fluid to see it dirty but not burned or black. I will have to clean out all shift solenoids of debree if any and drain and refill with new dw1 atf fluid (could I maybe get a quote for that too?) I just want my car running normal again. I just bought it not more than a month ago from this elderly woman and its ran like a dream until today at work during my lunch break.

Kayla Anderson: My car died when I was 1000 miles from home- the nightmare- and I had to lean on reviews to find a mechanic. The reviews made me feel like this shop offered good service and maybe they were familiar with hybrid cars- that did not turn out to be the case. My Prius was towed to them on a Wed night. Thursday they couldn’t find my keys, the tow truck driver did not put them in the lock box like instructed and it took the day for me to reach the tow truck driver to find out where my keys were. Not their fault I guess but I find it curious that no one there thought to check my back seat- where they were left. Friday morning I called, hoping for some clarity as they would be closed for the weekend and I needed to know whether to extend my hotel+rental car. The man answering seemed annoyed that I was calling, said he had no info for me but would call me back that afternoon, he didn’t. Saturday and Sunday they were closed. Monday morning I called them and they said that they replaced a fuse but couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. Cost $130. Picked up my car and now the keyless start wasn’t working. As soon we started driving a red triangle started flashing on the screen. We took the car to the Toyota dealership service center. Within an hour of dropping it off, Toyota sent me a video of the underside of my car and quickly diagnosed a broken water pump. Toyota’s cost was super reasonable and they had my car fixed by Tuesday at lunch. I just wish I would have avoided Auto Shop of the Carolinas, that mistake cost me a $175 tow, hundreds of dollars in hotel stays while waiting and $135 for them to break my keyless start. They were awful at communication and clearly didn’t know about hybrid cars. Avoid the headache, avoid the waste of money, avoid Auto Shop of the Carolinas. I strongly recommend Toyota of Rock Hill, they were amazing! Great communication, fair prices and phenomenal service.

Jared Gomez: TTS Auto Service was able to provide a fix for my vehicle relatively quickly. They are honest workers and won’t upsell you on unnecessary parts. If they do find other issues with your vehicle, they’ll make sure to bring it up, but they don’t pressure you either. Service was overall great. My only complaint was that it was slightly on the pricey side. I recommend coming to TTS to for all your small or major service/repairs.

Kay did such an amazing job and even after I wasn’t pleased with the factory headlights, he replaced them with ones he assured me I’d be happy with for no extra fees. Rae Ryu: Not great and not bad.Went in to get my transmission checked out. They went through diagnostics all across the vehicle but not really on my transmission.They just recommended to do a full transmission replacement for what I'm sure would be expensive. They told me they would call back about pricing but I never heard back.I decided to diagnose it myself after thinking about the symptoms and it ended up being just a clogged transmission filter and clogged banjo bolt that routes trans fluid through. One hour time and $10 for a new filter and it runs great again.It's probably a great place for most repairs but not exactly the best at diagnosing issues.

Omar Catoe: I highly recommend Compact Car Service. They are very honest, and their work is reliable. So here's my story: I have a 2005 Honda Civic that I love and adore. It's the only car I've ever had in my 9 years of driving. The main issues I've come across in my experience with the auto mechanic industry is honesty and reliability. My experience with car repair at actual Honda dealerships has been an egregiously negative one. I've come to distrust Honda dealerships and I even expect them to rip people off. I have encountered multitudes of dishonesty at Honda dealerships and sometimes have left Honda dealerships with the exact problems I had going in. I feel like Honda Dealership's bottom line is strictly making MONEY with little regard for customer satisfaction nor professional integrity. I would never have my Honda Civic worked on by a Honda Dealership again. Never.Compact Car Service is the opposite. They aim to satisfy customers and are very honest. Anytime I have a problem with my car, I call Compact Car Service, explain to them what I'm experiencing with my car, and they give me an idea of what they believe the problem may be. Then they set up an appointment for customers to come in to have their cars inspected. I've had all types of repairs and maintenance done to my car from standard oil changes to timing belt and alternator replacements. I asked Randy at Compact Car to call the mechanic in Boone for details and let me know if the car was worth more investment. He called back to say the description of the problem showed Compact Car obviously did not replace or tighten a certain screw and he had authorized the mechanic in Boone to make the repair and bill Compact Car! David Durham: My car was leaking oil and Compact Car took apart my engine, replaced some gaskets, and also tuned the engine (they did something with the valves). The engine ran so much smoother after they finished with it, and I was very happy that I took my car there because I could tell that a lot of care that went into making it run smoother, and also to no longer leak oil. I also agree with the other comments about the staff. There seems to be very good communication between the mechanics and the person speaking with you on the phone (in my case Kris - a woman). I spoke to Stacie and she was able to work me in quickly for them to run a few tests on the braking system.I got a detailed quote for repair back within a few hours explaining what needed to be fixed. This quote was sent via text and included a link where I could authorize repair. I actually thought this method of sending a quote was pretty cool. It was much easier and more efficient than a phone call.I felt the price was fair so I authorized the work. They initially thought it would be ready by noon the next day but it was taking a little longer than expected. Stacie reached out to me in plenty of time to let me know it would be a little later than noon. By 2:20pm that afternoon I had my car.When I picked up the car I spoke with Stacie and the owner. The owner took the time to explain in detail what all was done to the car and reminded me of the warranty they offer on their repairs.I wanted to wait a month to review this shop to make sure everything worked. My car continues to brake as good as new after the repair. Stacie was awesome ,keeping me in the loop of what was going on and answering all of my questions (I tend to ask a lot). I additionally wanted to see if it was possible to have brakes installed but never got a chance to request due the unprofessional rep cutting me off. I asked if a deposit was standard since I've purchased tires many times before and had never been asked to do - the rep angrily shouted out " I'm not bringing in tires if I'm not sure your going to pick them up", I disconnected the call. Take your business elsewhere, clearly they done ain't it!

I found B&R after a tiresome search in 2015 and I’ve been using them ever since. I’ve taken my Tundras, girlfriends’ cars (Hyundai, Ford), now fiancé’s car (Ford, so it’s used to being in the shop 😂 jk) and an airport car I just purchased this year to them. I have never once been disappointed in their work. They are honest up front and tell you when something doesn’t need to be fixed. No one has beaten their price and that is why I continue to drive from Gastonia to have them work on my vehicles. They have done everything from oil and tire changes to engine and exhaust work on the vehicles I have brought.
