The display for our cocktail hour was beautiful and all the appetizers so yummy. Our buffet line moved quickly and the servers were on top of water refills and clean up, which all the guest appreciated. When we originally booked ROOTS we were working with Olivia who eventually transitioned into a new position and Alyssa then became our new contact. Both ladies were wonderful and extremely helpful with questions and recommendations. I even reached out to Alyssa the morning of the wedding to add coffee and she instantly responded and was able to add it on no problem. If you want your wedding day or any event to go perfectly I highly recommend choosing ROOTS.

I was so impressed by the quality of the food they provided (my bridesmaid turned to me before we walked out to be announced and said "oh my god, did you have some of the crab cakes? They were so good! It was all so good!"). I was also impressed with the professionalism that everyone gave, from coordinating the wedding food to the application of our special drink. I have told my husband many times that I wish we could be invited to a wedding catered by Roots so I could just sit back, relax, and enjoy all the delicious food without some of the stress that comes from it being your wedding! MJ: Not impressed with how business is conducted here. Reached out to QC Catering for a quote as my fiancé and I plan our wedding. We scheduled a call to go over specifics 4/24/23. The first question we were asked was our budget (no congratulations or anything like that). They stated they were outside of our budget and didn’t want to waste our time as well as their own. I still requested the quote and stated we could visit other items to lower cost but never received it. I even emailed on 5/8 that I had not yet received the quote I was promised but as of today (5/12) nothing. It is clear they do not even want to work with us and as a bride, I feel I should be making the decision of what is considered within our budget. Not the other way around. Highly disappointed.

Neil Machovec: La-tea-da's Catering catered a bridal shower for me last weekend. They made it so easy. Everything was done via email. Valerie was the best, sent me ideas and worked with me with whatever I wanted to do. She gave me some pointers on how to raise some of the platters. He set everything out on the table and set up the chafing dishes. I knew he had another delivery to make so he didn't waste any time, however he didn't rush out. Erin: La-tea-da is very easy to work with. You are able to customize your event as you please, (we added late night pizza service to our wedding). Their tastings allow the opportunity to sample their cuisine while mingling with other brides and grooms. We had several children at our wedding, and we were able to get them macaroni & cheese and chicken tenders. They also catered a brunch hosted by my husband's aunt and uncle the next morning. The buffet was exquisite with tasty bacon, waffle bar, pastries, among other goodies. My only complaint is that the surf and turf at our wedding was the most popular dish and we found out a lot of the steak was very rare. Some people were OK with it but a lot of others preferred their steak to be cooked more.

You would never know that the food did not just come out of a fully functioning kitchen! Bravo! The staff was also phenomenal. Pleasant to work with and so helpful and responsive to guests. They made the event so enjoyable for our guests with so many food requirements: vegan gluten free as well as peanut allergies. Everyone loved it!

Shannon Davis: Best Impressions is amazing - they do it all! When I started my wedding planning, I immediately started working with Best Impressions for venue options. The team was so easy to work with and shared all of the information I needed to be able to easily select a venue that aligned with the style I was looking for and the budget. Next up came the fun part - the food and event details! Lindsay was so great throughout the entire process. We had an epic tasting and were able to select a menu that we knew would be a hit at the wedding! We did station style servings, which allowed us to offer several types of cuisine so that all of our guests could find something they liked. Everyone raved about how good the food was (from Southern Style mac and cheese and corn bread, to Street Style Tacos!). Not only that, but the event coordination on the day of went off without a hitch. Everything was seamless. I can't thank Best Impressions - especially Lindsay - enough for all that they did to support me and my husband's wedding. Highly suggest using Best Impressions for a high quality, epic event!

Our guests raved about our food which made my day. I know catering big events is challenging so I was just hoping the food would be good, but it really was delicious and fancy restaurant quality. Lo-Wanda Lindsay: Best Impressions is the ONLY caterer you need to contact! Isabella, Donald and Kendra were so instrumental in assisting my fiancé and I during the entire planning process. All three individuals were so patient, kind and accommodating. The staff and food of Best Impressions is unparalleled. All, and I do mean all, of our wedding guests were talking about how great the food and desserts tasted. We had a shrimp and grits station, omelette station, fresh fruit, grilled veggies, baby roasted potatoes, vegan pumpkin pancakes, scrambled tofu, primavera marinara, banana pudding shots, raspberry cheesecake brownies and tiramisu. Everything was delicious! When the reception ended, we barely had any leftovers to take home and we were more than alright with that! Best Impressions also provided all of the tables, linens, chairs, dinnerware and glassware for an exquisite experience at a very comfortable price for us. The staff was professionally dressed and served us all with much warmth and respect. Hire Best Impressions for a very worry-free experience!

Alyssa Hurd: I hired Best Impressions for my April 2022 wedding. The food was excellent unfortunately the service was horrible.The lead caterer that day, Mariah, was non existent. I was unable to track her down even after asking multiple staff members and going into the kitchen to try to help course correct issues. I had to find out her name weeks later after contacting Best Impressions. After discussing in detail the logistics of our bar setup and 2 sided buffet, they only opened 1 bar,shorted us a bartender and set up a single sided buffet. This caused long lines and severely impacted the timeline/ flow of my wedding day. Experience is everything and I would not recommend.

Britt: Due to Covid, I was forced to cancel my April 2020 wedding reception at Byron’s (owned by Best Impressions) because of the government mandate at the time, which prohibited indoor gatherings. However, Best Impressions / Byron’s refused to refund our wedding deposit even though we were not allowed to hold the reception as planned. The president of Best Impressions, Justin King was very rude and inconsiderate when we politely asked for our deposit back due to the circumstances that we could NOT have a reception because of the mandate in place. He refused to refund our deposit even though the situation was out of our control and we were forced to cancel our entire wedding reception with nothing to show for it. I am certain that Best Impressions received PPP money, so the fact that they did not give our deposit back is completely disingenuous. You would think from being in the wedding industry, they would have a little bit of compassion towards the couples who had to cancel their weddings after so much planning and money went into it with nothing to show for, but their true greediness shown through. It’s a shame because everyone else that we encountered at Best Impressions (excluding Justin) was very pleasant to work with, but I would not recommend this company due to how we were treated.

Hilary Braun: Best Impressions did an AMAZING job with all of the food for my wedding day. My guests still talk about how wonderful everything was. You can't go wrong with them, every single thing we tried was great. We were especially impressed with all of our interactions and tasting with Adam, he did such a good job tailoring our menu and bar to exactly what we wanted. They are one of the best caterers in Charlotte for a reason!

Holly was so helpful with planning the menu to appeal to a very varied age group - (45-91 yrs) Trent, the captain (fabulous) and staff, Chad and Taylor arrived promptly at the designated time. Their set up was meticulous. When they left, I would not have known they had been here except for the memory of wonderful evening. They did a thorough job cleaning and replacing everything just like it had been upon arrival. If anyone needs a catered event, by all means call Delectables by Holly.

The potatoes were fluffy, the cranberry sauce was super fresh and the turkey was juice and delicious. DNA Affairs: By far Delectables by Holly prepares wedding food that's among the best we've tasted (that's saying a lot because food tasting is an event planner perk). Wisdom Burris: I worked with Holly and her team at the wedding venue that I am a coordinator for and I was absolutely blown away! Working with her staff was an absolute dream, they were efficient and most helpful! Her staff went above and beyond that night and it was so appreciated. They stayed until every task that they could do or help with was done. Our staff and I thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and easily agreed it was the best meal we have had to date (we eat tons of wedding food)! The food was absolutely amazing! The wild mushroom risotto cakes were to die for, mini crab cakes were absolutely delicious, and the mini ham biscuits were the perfect balance of sweet and savory! The desserts were impeccable and the creme brûlée was my absolute favorite! If you pick Holly and her crew to cater your wedding I promise you will not be disappointed!

Ron Horton: We asked Delectables By Holly to provide the food for a very special celebration of Fifty Years of Flying for my husband. The event was held in an airport hangar and was attended by dozens of fellow pilots, flying students, and family members. Everyone raved about the food. Especially singled out for praise were the BBQ, mac and cheese, and banana pudding. Kudos to Master Chef John for bringing such a delicious line up of culinary treats. The staff showed up on time and had a spectacular serving line set up by the time the guests started arriving. Their professionalism and attention to detail were exceeded only by the genuine care they showed for each guest in attendance. They made sure that every need was met and special requests handled on the spot. From Angie's help in the planning process to the work done by each member of the staff at the party, we could not have been more pleased. If you need to make an event that will be talked about long after the party is over, Delectables By Holly is your go to crew.

They even give the couple a to-go meal each and some appetizers to go home with which we didnt think we would need but we are so glad we had!! Each of us only ended up eating 1 app each at cocktail hour! They worked with us to create a custom starter salad and pasta option too! All around highly recommend!

Brittany S: We worked with Margie and her team for our January 2023 wedding. We weren’t really sure what we wanted going into the consultation, but Margie helped us narrow down what we wanted and we ended up with three stations. Tacos, pasta, and sliders. They accommodated our guests with dietary restrictions very nicely. For example for our vegans, they often get a plate of mixed vegetables as their meals at weddings. Waiter’s Choice made BBQ jackfruit sliders for them and had pasta made with chickpeas so they had options to choose from. We didn’t get to eat much at our wedding as is usually the case, but we were happy to find a bag from Waiter’s Choice packed up with all off the different foods we had as well as a bottle of champagne. We both got colds after the wedding so we were very happy to live off those leftovers for a few days!

Caid Gilliland: My partner and I ordered food for an event through the phone, and everything was perfect! We had two lunches for 15 people each. Both arrived perfectly on time, and everyone loved the food. The fajitas were good and had huge portions for the price. No one was hungry, that's for sure! Customer Service was wonderful, too, and the drivers/caterers were so nice!

Koh Herlong: If 6 stars was an option, I'd give them 6 stars. Everything was first class and excellent. From the planning stages through the end of the event. We used them for heavy appetizers and just about every single person asked me who catered the party. The pre-planning was through and Jasmine was very helpful. The ladies who came out to set up the food were professional and made everything perfect. At this point, I doubt I will use anyone else besides Waiter's Choice. They even called me after the event to see how it went!

Kelly E Turner: We worked with Margie Barnett at Waiter's Choice Catering for our April 2021 wedding rehearsal, bridal party lunch, happy hour, and reception. We wanted southern food that would appeal to a broad audience and they absolutely delivered! We planned our menu with Margie, who had plenty of really good suggestions, and it was even better than we hoped it would be! Margie worked with our event planner (Hospitality Butler Events --- go check them out!) to organize delivery, setup, serving, and cleanup, so we never had to worry about the fine details. Every single person told us how much they enjoyed the food and a few asked if we had leftovers they could take home with them! We even had a little milkshake bar set up where we served family recipes. Their bar and buffet staff was awesome and exceptionally friendly.

T. WRIGHT: Amazing!! We had the pleasure of working with Waiters Choice for our daughter’s wedding. Katie is a true gem and worked very hard to meet and exceed our needs. The entire team worked so well together and treated our guests so special! I am so thankful that they were apart of our day! From the food to the customer service, everything was top notch. K E: HORRIFIED is the only word I can think of to describe my experience. I booked Occasions Catering in March of 2020 for my April 2021 Wedding. We had an in person tasting on February 15, 2021 and Meghan wrote down all of our choices. We discussed every detail from bartenders, to cake cutting, everything. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, we reached out to give our final numbers and request final invoice and Meghan would not answer our phone calls, texts, or emails. When she finally did, she said she did not have our final menu choices and did not recall a single detail from our in person tasting/meeting! We became concerned at that point, but asked her to send us the final invoice after we reiterated all of our choices and details. She said she would send, but never did. She stopped answering us again, so we asked our venue (who had highly recommended them) if they could get a hold of Meghan. Meghan finally answered our venue owner to say she could no longer do our wedding. She said that she knew back in December of 2020 that she probably wasn't going to be able to do our wedding, but strung us along and waited until the LAST possible minute to tell us this. I booked the caterer first because this is one of the bigger ticket items and I budgeted everything else from there. So to leave us hanging just 24 days before our wedding was horrific. She said the owner, Marcus Penick, had not paid her for the last few events and that was why she couldn't do the wedding. The owner, Marcus Penick would not confirm or deny that. He said she told him we didn't give her our final choices and that was the reason she canceled on us. None of it makes sense, the stories are conflicting and I do not think we will ever hear the truth of what really went on and the real reason for this disaster. Regardless, it was a very stressful situation to be put in. Meghan did connect us with another caterer but to be honest I do not trust a word that comes out of her mouth, so why would I trust her recommendation? One of the only caterers we found that was available this last minute was $6,000 more than I had budgeted. HUGE blow. I am writing this review so that this does not happen to someone else. THE CRAZIEST part... Meghan is still answering the business telephone and taking on new clients and events... WHAT IN THE WORLD? Beware.

Megan Vincent: I would give them zero stars if I could. They cut into my wedding cake before we did and then gave me an attitude about requesting a refund on any services regarding the cake. I was more then happy to pay for all the passed appetizers, pasta bar, buffett, bartender, staff and rentals of place settings. When I made a poor review they publicly attacked me stating that I hadn't paid my invoice to the last minute, which simply wasn't true. Highly disappointed with this company and would not recommend. I recommend spending a little extra to go with a company that is more organised. I'll never get that moment back to be able to cut my own wedding cake.

Sarah McNeil: Hiring Occasions Catering for my wedding is a decision I would make over and over again! From wonderful communication via email to experiencing their delicious food at our tasting, we knew very quickly that we wanted Occasions to be part of our special day. Meghan, as well as everyone else we worked with, was always professional, prompt, and so much fun to work with. When our original venue unexpectedly closed their doors and then the COVID pandemic hit, Occasions took an active role in helping us make new plans and consistently offered their help with tasks not even related to the food. They are just wonderful and talented people! The food on our wedding day was delicious and the service was wonderful- many of our guests commented on how impressed they were. I could not recommend Occasions more highly, and we are so grateful to them for helping make our day so special!

They were fun, thoughtful, prompt, and kind. I not only enjoyed their food, but enjoyed corresponding with them as well. They will forever be my go to caterer in a pinch in charlotte. So good my Aunt Sue would say "I'd sell my Cadillac for that".I do have to mention the one of the "Primo" items that is so good that I'm writing this review. Beef Tips with Diced Zucchini and Squash. I fancy myself a gravy connoisseur and being from the Midwest, I know my way around beef. These beef tips are superbly prepared and the brown gravy is , dare I say, decadent.A+ work Occasions Catering - we'll be ordering again.

The ownership and executive management team is incredibility professional and all the servers that worked my event were friendly, accommodating and responsive. I can't say enough nice things about my experience. My guests LOVED the food.... they were even asking for recipes. Occasions was also very flexible and gave me great consulting advice regarding my event. Don't waste time shopping around. They are the best and I would highly recommend them. Cassie Dominicis: Occasions provided breakfast, lunches, and snacks for a week-long work event I attended, and honestly it was terribly disappointing. The food was lacking in flavor, particularly the chicken with Jamaican relish. We all expected a dish with the word "Jamaican" in it to be really flavorful, but the chicken was mushy and had little distinct flavor (much of it went uneaten). The salads were 95% lettuce, the miniature frittatas were dry, and the desserts were underbaked and overly sweet.
