Katie Feeney: This salon looked beautiful in the pictures so I figured I’d give them a try since I’m new to the city. I was not impressed by the staff or the manicure I paid for. I got my nails dipped and they cracked within a day. I have never had that happen at any other salon before. The staff did not greet anyone when they walked in and I witnessed multiple clients standing around confused as to where to sit or wait to be seen. They could definitely make it a friendlier environment.

She constantly talked about her Wi-Fi and why it was slow and not having money. That probably explains why the place is outdated and very dirty! Jemimah Moreno: Techs are good, but this salon has very POOR HYGIENE. I’ve been here twice and both times the pedicurist have used an used toe separator. I know this because it had stains all over and also, after she was done with me she tucked it back in her tray instead of disposing of it. Also, their tool tray had nail dust all over which makes me think, the tools too may not be disinfected between clients. Main tech jumps from one client to the next with nail residue all over her and not once did I see her wipe off her station or even her shirt to minimize the spread of germs. Overall, professional cleanliness does not seem to be a priority!Lastly, I wish they would focus on one person at a time, specially, if you have an appointment! I understand time is money, but also be mindful of the clients time as well.

She didn't get a fill in or a full set... just gel polish. She didn't even get a manicure!! As for me I got a gel fill in and a pedicure. I was charged $83but she filed my nails crooked.In my opinion my daughter and I were racially profiled. I say this because they weren't friendly, I had to rub my own cuticle oil considering I watched them rub cuticle oil on all the other non black patrons. I will never ever visit this place again.

Shari: This is THE ABSOLUTE WORST place to receive any type or manicure or pedicure. I was planning to go on vacation and my usual shop was booked so I decided to try Midtown nails 💅 for my mani and pedi and BOY WHAT A MISTAKE! I went for a sns dip set and I had a small tip on one nail. The guy doing my nails put the tip on but my actual nail could be seen hanging from the bottom. When I told him he got very annoyed and instead of soaking off the tip he took clippers and further cut my natural nail down 😡. I was very upset in which he switched me to the another lady who I assumed was the owner(I will say she was very nice). Although she did fix the mistake I still have to live with my one nail now being significantly shorter then the rest. Shortly after I left the shop it was maybe two days later and I noticed that all of my dip powder appeared to be shattered and after paying almost $100 for my nails and toes this is completely unacceptable. There was nothing I could do since I was on vacation in a foreign country. Throughout my entire vacation I had to be super careful so that my nails would not further break. Talk about annoying! Then I come home and I’m literally opening a cabinet and my sns dip power just completely comes off along with pieces of my natural nail. I called and they offered me a refund which I accepted but now because of all of the damage I will have to cut my nails down short and restart my natural nail journey. DO NOT GO HERE! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.

Thankfully I caught this and had to call, explain everything, wait for refund approval and then wait for funds to be sent back to my bank. I was told that for the inconvenience my next pedicure would be free of charge.Well, when I visited the next time the manager yelled and was extremely rude when I brought this up. She did not honor my free service from last time as I was told and even told me “sometimes we charge others cards accidentally”. Unacceptable. I won’t be returning here and if you do, watch your card.

Kritika Verma: My first time here was simply the best!Ryan and Paul did a fantastic job on my nails. They worked on my pedicure and manicure simultaneously. Which was a great time saver! The salon was clean, the music was great, and the staff was extremely friendly and polite. Everything was top noch and very professional. Finding parking was a nightmare, though! I will be back again soon, and I hope service remains consistently high quality even though parking will not be.

But what was a real bummer was after paying $120+ for a SNS manicure and pedicure my nails chipped within days. I came back for a repair all for a few days later the dipping powder to completely lift off.

Lauren Haase: Came in July 11 for a SNS dip manicure with tips and no design. Ended up waiting almost 45 minutes for the tech to finish removing my previous set, granted I was a walk in. I also had asked for coffin shaped nails and was initially told no because of the length I asked for, despite having this length done many times before. She also ended up running the buffer over my finger so much that I bled, despite saying it hurt. I did not want to be rude so I paid and left, but after a literal day this was what I ended up with. Ended up paying $75 for a basic SNS dip + shape and no design, and it was not great quality. Only 4 days in and nails are chipped, cuticles torn up, and a mess with polish all over skin.

Alex Dicks: Frenchie’s is a hidden gem in SouthEnd. I’ve gone there many times to get a pedicure and I can honestly say it’s going to be hard going anywhere else from now on. The staff is incredibly professional, accommodating, and fun to talk to. Additionally, the salon is very clean, airy, and aesthetically pleasing. Lauren has taken care of me both times and makes sure that of all my expectations are being met and that I’m comfortable along every step of the way! She is so easy to talk to and I trust her with my nails entirely.This is one of the only salons I’ve been to that focuses on health and safety, and it shows. I would highly recommend both Frenchie’s and Lauren and can’t wait to come back in for my next pedicure!

Great service, super-clean salon (which is truly the best part), and my toes still look great. I will definitely return to Frenchie’s for manicure and pedicure services! Below review was 1-star; recent visit was 5-star.Walked in last Thursday afternoon with no appointment. The staff was very accommodating and got me in for a gel manicure. The nail tech was lovely and did a great job. However, a week later, my nails are chipped. I’ve never had this experience with a gel manicure before I thought about scheduling another appointment to give them second try. I’m heading out of town and would like my nails to look nice. However, it seems that there is a charge to have gel polish removed, even if it is theirs. Quite disappointing. When I called to confirm that in fact, this is their policy, I was told that I can always come in within a week and have them redone for free. I’m sorry I wasn’t made aware of this policy, since today is the one week mark. I really like the salon and the above and beyond efforts for cleanliness and sanitation, but I think they can do better than this with regards to customer service and quality of results.Service:Gel manicures

As someone who has managed people for many years, I have an eye for exceptional customer service. The ladies at the salon tonight were amazing. Not only did I receive an amazing pedi but thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. Is it pricey? Sure. But it's a luxury. You get a great service in a comfortable, low-stress environment. Briana Jimenez: Love this place! I moved here from NJ and my previous nail tech was very sanitary. Implements were never reused, and she had a labeled box with implements for me. When I moved to NC, I was looking for a place that had that level of cleanliness. At my first appointment they gave me a tour and showed me how and where the implements her sanitized. They also get packaged after being sanitized and are only opened during the appointment. However, I will say this place is a little pricey but it’s worth it. The gel nail polish actually lasts, I had my pedicure done and the polish lasted 5+ weeks. Also, Delaney and Serena are awesome!

We got there and they said it's standard pedi...I said we upgraded to deluxe. Honestly, the only difference was a minor mask..the massage was just as long as a normal massage, but way more $.We confirmed the price of our services before we began. With even a verbal confirmation. She said $90 per person, my mom even said "with gel on hands" and she said yes. We were aware of the additional nail design and French up charge....Well, we closed out and that wasn't the case. Decided to try this place out bc I'm big on using nail products that are not toxic and a few others had recommended Frenchie's. But unfortunately after 3 days my polish on toes and gel polish on hands started chipping. I tried to make a last minute appointment at the dilworth location but they were booked so i made an appointment with the morehead location thinking i would have the same experience. I don’t typically write bad reviews but I felt as if my whole fill in was rushed, the technician barely said one word to me and didn’t even shape my nails coffin. I was googling and came across this nail bar. I am so pleased with the work that Hanah did on my feet, she was gentle and continued to ask me was I okay. I've had great manicures here before and then got two cuts with glue between my fingers today. I knew she was avoiding that conversation...no one has time to go back and spend another hour + on simple sns 1 color! Please protect your business and let go technicians that are not good please. I do like your salon and want to continue here. I'm thinking recent negative reviews were caused by the same issue.

The girl told me that if I do regular nail polish it will only last 2 to 3 days max, and I will I’ll rub off. She told me I should do gel for $20 extra that’s the only way cover will stay on nails is if you do gel. When I used to come, regular nail polish would last 2 to 3 weeks. Now it only lasts 2 to 3 days? Either they buy extremely cheap products, or she’s just lying to upsell me. Either way, I walked out and will not be back.

Alexis: Such an awful experience. Came today because my normal nail place was closed and I wanted my nails done before my birthday tomorrow and a week long trip. I got a pedicure and manicure. The guy who did my pedicure cut up my feet in 3 different places and was pressing down on it to put pressure and make the blood stop with his bare hands. Absolutely mortifying experience and left feeling so gross. Won’t even talk about how bad the paint job was and that my fingernails have already chipped in two spots (five hours after getting them done). Just all around terrible. I would have felt a little better if I had seen him wash the supplies after but he just put it all away and got up and took a nap in a pedicure chair the entire time I got my manicure done. And when I went to pay I was overcharged by $9 with no explanation. Save yourself the heartache and pain and go somewhere else.

I'm not trying to play the race card but me and my friends were the only 3 African American people in there and wasn't offered not even a glass of water.

I am very disappointed in the customer service and the job. I’ve been coming here for years and never had a bad experience until this woman.
