United: I been coming to this store for years and I've never seen such good customer services I love everything about this store every thing is fresh love the cashier's the little brown skin boy is a very hard worker I've seen him putting up 25 cent cans and restocking eggs I love his energy and also I've seen him working with the brown skin girl he works very good with her and when someone is at money order he goes to get the Manager to go to the window his is a very helpful young man.

Kathy Brown: I have been shopping at Wayne's for a very long time and can proudly say that they are one of my top choices when it comes to affordable grocery & meats. But when it comes to customer service that is a different story there are a couple of young immature cashiers there is one young lady that wears glasses and is always sweet and helpful also the tall white guy they are always good with great customer service the younger boy who always wears the hats is very lazy he always depends on the other cashier's to help him with small task that only takes one person and it causes the line to move very slow he also plays around with the the other girl and gets very little work done you can see that a lot of the fall off from them lands on the other cashier.other than that this is a great place to shop and reminds me home.

Hayley Watson: I will say Wayne’s is convenient if you are needing something simple like salt or milk or eggs. And in the past I have had okay experiences here. However, we bought a block of Neese’s sausage without checking the expiration date (because surely they take things off the shelf once they’ve expired…)This morning to our surprise the sausage was covered in mold. Perhaps we should have checked the expiration, which was dated from a week ago. But I would at least expect the shelves to be stocked with fresh meat. Disappointed, please do better

The meats are always so fresh and pristine. The attention small establishments provide, that big franchises may slip on sometimes. I love how certain snacks are still available here too. R Goldsboro: I shared some photos of barbecued pork chops I bought and cooked from there. A family pack…They were dirt cheap ($6) and they looked good at the store. I brought them home and cooked them the next day. To my surprise they were black/purple and brown after cooked. Very hard and crunchy. I don’t recommend anybody buying them. Cheap but no good. The taste alone after a couple’s of bites made me sick. I also bought chicken wings and legs. Now I didn’t have a problem with them. They were okay.

Kasheia Williams: I’m from the rural/country parts of NC and I had been looking for stores that carried items that I could easily find at grocery stores back home. Most of the big chain grocers just don’t carry certain things. People had been recommending Giant Penny and I finally went. So glad I did! They have almost all of the items I’m used to seeing back home. The prices are reasonable, meats look fresh and high quality. The produce looked pretty good too.The store is obviously in an older building and it has that old building smell, but it definitely doesn’t stink. The store is neat and clean. You won’t find tons of a variety of items, but they do have all the staples and, like I said, many of foods I’m used to seeing at the rural/country grocers. Staff is friendly. It is definitely going to be a regular stop for me now.
HOME OF THE 90S: Great prices on chicken wings! They the only place in Charlotte that didn't go up on prices like gas

If your store operation hours are open UNTIL 8:00 PM, then that is when your store should close. I’ve been coming to this store since a child my mom shopped here for our meats and now so this was really upsetting. Tracey Franklin: I travel 45 minutes to shop this store. I have been there @three times. I have purchased packs of chicken wings. Twice the chicken pack was spoiled. All other purchases was very good. I called and was told about the store policy, that if I was unhappy about my purchase, I should return it the same day or next day. Once again I traveled 45 minutes away. All I'm saying is the manager could of suggested a new pack and from there I would be mindful of their policy and choose more carefully when selecting my meat packages.

Claudia Lara: I usually do shopping here but sometimes the lines are gigantic and you have to put your groceries in the cart yourself because there is no staff to do it and the manager is very aware that you don't steal the things you carry in the back from below instead of being aware that someone helps put the merchandise in the carts, it is also annoying that you still have not finished passing your things when the manager is yelling, take one downstream or finish passing your things and they are doing well the carts that you don't steal anything before you finish your purchases and in customer service if you carry 6 products they don't want to charge you because they can only charge you for 5 products is it serious? when the lines are gigantic.Another thing, there are products that are usually more expensive there than elsewhere, such as the bb formula.And if you don't get abused, they charge you more or the offers don't charge you well...And aside from that, they don't even answer the phone And always with the wic program you end up leaving your products because according to the manager those productsthey are not from wic even though they have the wic sign and the manager only knowssay they are not and they are not and they do not solve anything for you, they just leave and they no longer tell you anything that managers so inexperienced, when Galo was there it was very different if he did his job well...And another thing, the cecina they sell there is more skin than meat and very thick that it cannot even be eaten as hard as it is.

They pretty much always have everything in stock when I come. Theres just so many different kinds of meats, noodles, rice, veggies, fruits, sauces, oils, spices, snacks, etc! S.W. Stryker: The biggest problem with this store is the quality of the fresh produce. Without fail, you will notice white hairs and such forming in either top or bottom of fruit. I don't have a picture of this as of now, but I will update this in the future with a few.Other than that, everything that isn't produce is great. The variety of products and specificity of them can hardly be beat. If it weren't for the produce problem, I would give them a 4 star, maybe I'd consider 5.Great variety of rice, which is hard to find!

Aisles are wide enough unlike most grocery stores. Clean. Cheap meats. Good prices with MVP card. I don’t know the guys name…I believe he’s Indian. If I have the choice I go to his register as he is the fastest and he doesn’t seem to mind doing his job unlike others. You can tell he has a sense of pride in his job. I avoid self scan because the employee on duty will stare you down the whole time you are checking out to make sure you aren’t stealing. It’s very uncomfortable so I avoid when I can.

So the associate name Pooh said where closed and a heavy set woman was also an associate new employee with no name tag according to the night manager Darius she was very professional said she didn’t care either all I was doing was getting was 2 items so I told Darius what happened and he would address the issue with Pooh and the new associate with no name tag displayed very disrespectful and unprofessional manners towards me and should be held accountable and disciplined for their actions because the the door wasn’t supposed to locked be until 11pm and Darius told me it was because the store had theft and somebody ran out with merchandise

Life's Great: I am a Native here so I've seen a lot of changes. I try my best not to go to compare food because they only care about following black people around as if we are going to steal. But they are stealing from everyone with their high prices. They are not clean enough to insult my community the way they do. The cheese was molded I dont even go to the dairy section. We are clean people and to treat us like we are scums of the Earth is not acceptable. Why open in our community if youre going to treat US like that. You should've opened in another town because Charlotte is full of US. Management should have research the history of Charlotte. As for our community your store is too dirty the least you can do is have your workers be kind to the consumers in the community. It won't be long before your store loses big time. Because we will stick together to make a change.
