Ken Privett: On a vacation trip from Palm Springs to Charlotte NC, we reserved a full-size car for while we were there. Unfortunately, our flight arrived close to midnight. Although there was someone on duty, the car was definitely not one of their better cars. But, it was dark and very late at night so we accepted the car. However, once we saw the car in the morning light, we noticed a lot of issues with the car. First, the car had previously been repaired from a collision into the driver-side door. The repair job didn't do a good job of positioning the door, leaving a large gap between the body and the door. Furthermore, there was trash in the car and it was not very clean.We called the following morning to arrange for it to be swapped out with a better car. The customer tech on the phone directed us to return the car to the closest Budget office almost Independence Blvd near Albemarle Rd (not the airport which was much further away). However, once someone showed up in the office, she explained that she had no cars whatsoever and we would have to return the car back at the airport across town.We drove to the airport and we're very surprised at how quickly we were able to get a replacement. The car was clean and much newer. However, after driving for a couple of hours, the car notified us that the back two tires were very underinflated and needed to be attended to immediately. A friend had an air pump and pressure guage. The front tires were almost at the maximum pressure while the back tires were extremely low. We were able to inflate all the tires to an appropriate pressure. However, a couple of days later, we had to add air to the left rear tire again. The following day, we had to add aire to the right rear tire. We experienced several small issues but for the most part, the car was OK. But, too many issues than the alternative rental places.
Daniel Keith: From the beginning of this reservation, this company has ruined my trip. I was called one hour before pick up time for the location to tell me that they were going to be closed and that the online system allowed me to reserve for a time they would be closed. I was then forced to change my pickup location to the closest airport and when I finally made it to said airport, I was told I would have to pay MORE! Keep in mind, I had already paid online but because I had to change to a new location I had to pay additional fees. They then informed me at the airport that their policies were different than the standalone location, which was something I was never told when the original location called me. Anyway, the manager at the airport budget counter had to work something out with me that allowed me to use my debit card for the $250 hold. Fast forward to last night, I arrive at the drop off location, which is the original location to find they don’t even have a drop box. At this point, I am so very annoyed. I call customer service and she told me that I had two options, which were to hold the car until 8am and return it or go to the airport then and return it. I opted to return it at the airport as that is the same location I picked it up at. She informed me that I would be subject to charges even though I was told the drop off location would have a drop box and they didn’t. At this point, I am FUMING. I get to the airport, drop it off and walk up to the counter just to find that they are CLOSED and the only Avis counter open is the preferred line and the line is incredibly long at 1:00am. At that point, I simply just give up and go home. When I wake up this morning, I receive an email saying I now owe and ADDITIONAL $250.00! HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? I was charged an additional day, a late fee, and other new fees. I am so fed up and will take legal action if need be because this can’t be ethically legal. I am disappointed and will absolutely never use this company EVER AGAIN!
Ryan Evans: Worst experience ever. We were told by 3 customer service reps that our rental would be available for pickup at 10:00 a.m. Tonya finally showed up to open the branch at 10:30. She proceeded to give us excuse after excuse about why our vehicle that we had reserved 7 months in advance wouldn’t be available for pickup until 11:00. Then she told us it would be ready by 12:00. When we came back at 12:00, she told us they still didn’t have our vehicle. When I told her to cancel the rental, she gave me the 800 number and said we would have to call customer service to cancel ourselves. This was a complete circus show. Zero accountability, horrible customer service, and not one apology for all of the inconvenience. Do yourself a favor and avoid this location and Tonya.

Akhilendra Singh: I booked a car online for 45$, and when I reached to location lady on front desk says car is not available. If you want to take different car I will reprocess your request. And with no choice she charged me 140$. Customer service says : we don’t control anything if pick up location is not able to give you the promised car or price. Customer service can’t help. The whole booking system is a trap game. So plz be careful.
PT H: Be careful using budget and careful going to this location. Their payment system charges you twice if you prepay. So if you prepay they will charge you AGAIN after returning the car. If you dispute the charges and get your money back they will then take you to collections and put you on in a do-not-rent list. Terrible.
Allen Angle: Wish I could give 1/2 a Star, which I guess I would just mean they are at the address posted. Notice I didn't say open, plenty of times I arrived when they should be, or should be opening, for that not to happen till 20-30 minutes later. Last visit they were open and person behind counter would not open the door for me to come in. I can say with experience, only go here if you wish to have problems or issues. I have never rented from this location and not had an issue or left within 25 minutes of my actual reservation rental time. I quit using them for 2 years, went back last week for a reservation pick up thinking things may have changed. Was greeting with, "Sorry, don't have a car for you, call this number they will find one for you", as I mentioned, when they finally let me in! One hour later I did have my reservation I made 2 weeks earlier, at another location for $20 more and 12 miles away! This location is the closest to my residence, but I will now never visit again.
Darren sussman: I’d rather ride a bicycle then rent from this location again. Customer service was horrendous. I think there’s better service in 3rd world countries. Needs to be shut down. Hope the manager enjoyed his day off.

VAGDude: It’s a shame that no stars aren’t an option especially for this location. Brought a car in that was barley running for an exchange of vehicles in which they promised to have a vehicle reserved and waiting. Got there to some guy wearing headphones ignoring me and telling me to go somewhere else. This place is fraudulent and misrepresented. Steer clear of this hoodlum shed rental facility.
gavin sussman: I had a budget rental car I picked up at the charlotte airport. Within 10 miles the check engine light came on and the engine began making strange sounds. I called budget customer service who directed me to this location to exchange my vehicle.I walked into the location and the employee was listening to music and ignoring the 20 patrons standing in the lobby. After almost 30 minutes I got to the front of the line and he told me “I can’t help you, go to the airport.” He was rude and the most unprofessional employee I have ever worked with in the hundreds or cars I’ve rented. This location should be shut down and is a stain on the budget/Avis brand. Not to mentioned the safety issue for them giving me a junk car.

Then, said they could upgrade us, but would charge us. We said Yes (we were desperate), they then gave us a filthy dirty car that had not been serviced. Service was terrible. We ended up cancelling and going somewhere else. Do NOT book a car here!
Kendra B: I reserved my rental at least 2 weeks prior to pickup. I had also pre-registered my pickup to speed up the process of pickup. I was scheduled to pick up my rental at 4430 E. Independence Blvd in Charlotte, NC. The day I get there, I ended up waiting over an hour and half for my rental. The establishment was run-down and disgusting and they had locks on the doors which prevented you from entering. The front desk person was extremely slow, very unprofessional and never acknowledged my presence. They had a low stock of rentals and I had to end up involuntarily paying for an upgrade because they had no additional Mid-Size rentals. When they pulled the vehicle around, it was dirty inside & out, so I had to wait an additional 30 minutes for them to clean it. I complained to the agent at the location, and he never apologized for the wait or the lack of customer service I received. I ended up having to call customer to be reimbursed for an upgrade. The day of my return, the location was closed, so I had to end up returning at the airport. I was then charged an additional day and had to contact customer service again to have my amounts readjusted. I will NEVER rent from Budget again. I am highly unsatisfied with the lack of service I received.
Rose Family: This is a review for Budget Corp., not specific to the Charlotte location. Worst experience ever re ting a car. Had a reservation for weeks, but when I arrived at SFO to pick up the car, I had almost 3 hour wait. Unbelievable. Plus, I was overcharged! Never again!!!! Buyer beware!
David Moosbrugger: Reservation was set up for 8 AM. Employee didn’t show up until 9 AM. I was 30 minutes late for a meeting at work.Returned the car on the same day. Sign on door said closed will return at 1:30... It is now 230. Nobody is here.

Bandago Van Rental: what do users think?
Edward Jerzak: This was one of the only places that offered a 15 passenger van rental. Overall the van drove well and we had no major issues getting from North Carolina to Florida and back again. I will say that it could have been better. The wiper blades were in need of being replaced. None of the lights in the passenger area worked at all. The interior had some missing trim pieces exposing the metal hardware. One of the seatbelts in the first passenger row was broken and unable to be used. And the plastic cover on the rear bumper/step was loose and falling off. The ceiling vent covers in the passenger area would just fall out when the air was turned on. The person who helped us at time of pickup was very friendly and helpful. However, we did have to wait for our van to be returned to the pickup location as it was given to another renter by mistake. Overall the van was mechanically sound and did the job. I guess I was expecting a little more class and style for a van that cost over $250 a day to rent. Would probably rent from them again, but will definitely look for other options first.

I took a day off to come to the location which says open until 530, when I got there they were closed - after speaking with customer service I understand things come up and I was open to discussing rental over the phone. First rep could not answer questions about pick up options. Second rep Ben who was a supervisor was very rude on the phone telling me he wouldn’t do anything for free, I never asked for anything free. He continued to talk over me without listening to any of my questions.
Marcus Dicks: Great rental experience! This was our first time using Bandago. We were taking a road trip from North Carolina to Memphis, Tennessee with total of 7 adult passengers. We rented the Sprinter class van seats 10 passengers with a spacious cargo hold.Had plenty of space remaining after loading 2 wheel chairs and luggage for 7 people . The van is 11 feet long; however it drove smoothly and effortlessly. We had no problems traveling interstates and keeping pace with traffic flow. The van we rented had an Xbox 360 gaming system which our son enjoyed immensely. The van had plenty of outlets for powering cell phones. Separate climate controls for driver/passenger and the remainder of the van was very convenient.We did call Bandago customer service during trip and they were very responsive and helpful.This van uses diesel fuel. Several gas stations required pre-payment and did not have pay-at-the-pump options for diesel. This situation was a mild inconvenience but not a responsibility of Bandago.I would recommend to others.
Karina Pettway: The entire experience was very professional and pleasant. Bandango's employees were friendly, informative and consistent which allowed me to focus on my family and our trip. Ryan and Andrew were very helpful during pickup and drop off. We had an issue with our tires and at times the connection between the TV and the ps4 but Bandango took care ofboth issues, immediately. I forget the name of the gentleman who handled our billing but he called me back in a timely manner, discounted the price to recompense us for the tire issue and made me feel valued as a customer. We rented the Sprinter 12 passenger van. It was clean, spacious and handled the road well. Also, the storage area was huge! It was obvious from start to finish that Bandango appreciated our business. My family had an awesome trip and Bandango helped make that happen. I would most definitely rent again!

Queen B: Rented a 15-passenger Chevy Express van after realizing that the 12-passenger Captain Sprinter was way too small for our family size. The Sprinter van offers captain seats but very little wiggle room for healthy adults. Nevertheless, the Chevy van was available and we were able to downgrade our comfort and price. The rep at the counter was somewhat helpful but really couldn't answer any questions and kept deferring to the reps out in California to assist. The van wasn't as up-to-date as advertised and needed to be thoroughly cleaned. Plenty of stains and wear & tear from previous renters. The sound system was a bit difficult to use... even for our teens! The driver and passenger windows did not work which was an inconvenience traveling through multiple toll booths. We did not get the benefit of the advertised wi-fi due to something missing in the van. The xbox was okay but based on ceiling placement, you would have to sit on the 1st bench seat as to not disturb others. Overall, it was an experience to drive over 1600 miles with a family of 10. Definitely learned the definition of quality time as we headed to our winter-full getaway. I did speak with the "out-of-state" rep about the inconveniences but all I got was a final invoice with no adjustment. #ThisWasNotALuxuryExperience
