Girl Lee: Literally had to leave the next day for a wedding and needed the hem on my dress shortened. Not only did the owner do an outstanding job but she also altered the waistline! It was very hard for me to trust someone to alter my wedding dress. We found Ruby on Google, saw the good reviews, and decided to bring in a couple of items. Ruby altered a handful of dresses and suits we needed for other weddings. She did a great job and seemed very knowledgeable, so I decided to bring in my wedding dress. She did an awesome job!My parents brought their outfits for my wedding to someone closer to their house. The woman barely did anything to my dad's suit and she left it very oversized. It looked like he was wearing a sweatsuit. My mom's dress was gorgeous and completely beaded. This woman absolutely butchered the dress. We were both so shocked and upset. I then had my parents come to Ruby the WEEK OF my wedding. Ruby was so kind and accommodating and understood the stress of the situation. She properly altered my dad's suit and completely transformed my mom's dress. I’m so grateful for Ruby!! My family will only trust her with our alterations from now on!
John Wright: Well I was looking around for places to stick a small velcro on my motorcycle pants by the knee area. The lady help me out and was very friendly and professional. The only thing I didn't agree with is one, she made me paid up front, two the price to do a small velcro on motorcycle leather pants cost 160 bucks. Even in Hawaii they did a small stitch for 5 dollars. She said the work she is doing is hard. But other places told me it's not hard. Everyone review saying good price they had. My experience way over charged. It should at least been 30 bucks at that. But 160 is ridiculous. I'm leaving this review to help people save there money if you have similar issue with motorcycle gear with leather.Again it wasn't my intent to come off negative. The place I went to was faith in rock hill south Carolina. She was able to do it for 30. They have a special machine that does it all. I would recommend if you can reach out to her and see if she can tell you what machine she use to get more business for a reasonable price. Appreciate your time and sorry for the miss communication.

When I got my dress back, I was so upset and something didn’t look right with my husband suit my daughter highly recommended Ruby because she did her wedding gown, me and my husband went to Ruby and I cannot even tell you the difference she knows exactly where things need to be taken in just to make everything look perfectly tailored. SARAH HCC: Ruby’s alterations came highly recommended by an acquaintance- days away from a big event we trusted the recommendation and ran into Ruby’s hoping for a miracle. Despite the tight turn around (a few days), they did an incredible job and got all the changes (shoulders, sides, hem on a plunging v-neck on a georgette fabric dress) done within a couple of days! The gown was perfect! Within a few weeks we back again to get the prom dress fitted. They are kind but efficient and again had the dress pinned and marked for alterations within a couple minutes. Perfect again- the dress looks made for her! Ruby’s has won my loyalty and I am now using them for dry cleaning and will be bringing in a suit for alterations as well! So grateful for the recommendation that sent me here, so thought I would pay it forward and share my recommendation with you! Christie ruined my 5k wedding dress (made a drop-waist gown into a ballroom gown because she had no idea what she was doing), and ripped out the original tag, which is actually illegal!!’ and when I asked if she kept the material so I could fix elsewhere, she said yes…but when I came by to get she smiled and said she didn’t know where it went but I could grab some lace from other dresses!! Please if you care about your clothing DO NOT USE CHRISTIE!!!
Good Boi: Christie was great! Very sweet and got me taken care of ASAP. Brought in some pants that were already marked up from another tailor I decided against, and she didn't mind at all. Got me in and out quickly, and I picked them up not too long later. Fits perfectly!
Alé Persinger: Christie redid a rhinestone encrusted saree into my wedding veil and it was incredibly beautiful and well done. She also recently altered a dress for me that included a bodysuit. She worked her magic so I would have the coverage in the bikini and thigh area as well as the tulle detail in the back so it was more flattering and no muffin top :). The day I picked up my dress, I realized a jumpsuit was slightly too long for my new shoes and I thought I would just ask if there was anyway she could do it same day and despite how busy she was, she was willing to stay past closing to get it done for me. Before I dropped off my dress I made sure there weren't any stains on it and when I picked it up there was a stain on it. When I pointed the stain out to Christie she said that it was from the oils on my skin....she did not offer any sort of discount. Makes sense as to why she makes people pay upfront before seeing the end product. Wedding is in 7 days and now I need to figure out how to not ruin the dress by getting the stain out. Lily Lover: I originally brought 4 dresses here to be hemmed. The employees are nice, but their problem is pricing and quality.For hemming, they measure how long the hemline is and charge by the yard. That means that my three fitted dresses were reasonable prices (~$35) because the hemlines were 2.5 yards, but they wanted to charge me $120 to hem my more flowy dress. Just for a hem. It was just a single layer cotton dress, so that price seemed ridiculous. I brought it to another tailor in town and they charged only $40 to hem it.When I came to pick up my other 3 dresses, two of them were still dragging on the floor and one of them hadn't been hemmed at all. The woman working there seemed frustrated and told me it would take a week to fix their mistake even though I had a trip the next day. She said they also wouldn't offer me a refund or discount because they'd already worked on the dresses...... Even though they didn't hem them to the right length? Ultimately she called the owner and he had her fix them right away for me, but I'm surprised she would try to resolve the issue in that manner.They're nice people and I wanted to support a family business, but this experience was very unprofessional and I won't be returning.

John H: I had a black tie dinner event pop up last minute. A friend from work found Sumer Tailoring on google so I decided to check them out. I needed a tuxedo with a 3day turnaround. Ahmed saw me the same day I called, got me in a beautiful black tuxedo and altered it same day! I stopped by in the morning and picked up my tux after work. Everything fit perfectly! Great customer service and experience, would definitely recommend!
A P: I purchased my son's prom dinner jacket at a retailer that could not do alterations without a week's notice and the event was 6 days out when we finally found the right one. When I called Sumer Tailoring late in the week Ahmed was extremely accommodating, thorough with information and estimates, and told me he could expedite the process and get the jacket back to us in 24 hours time (for a small fee.)
