Heroes Aren't Hard To Find: what do users think?
GOMAB TEES: Should all my comics to them and enjoyed talking with Shelton and gaining more knowledge on things I wasn't aware of. Will visit again. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming to everyone.
B Boidy: A fantastic comic book shop with lots of vintage, new arrivals, and a section of kids comics. You can call and request upcoming comics that they will hold for you. Super friendly and welcoming staff!
beatrill: batman
Lloyd Oakley: Good 👍
Dave Vanian: This is a nice looking store but if you're looking for a good selection of older back issues or anything that's not super heroes then you're out of luck. I don't enjoy writing a bad review for this place but it was a total waste of time for me. The two guys working were nice though.
Brett Steinberger: Snarky borderline rude counter worker. Sheldon could care less
Jimmy Savage: Great place awesome selection

Kenneth G: Love this place go every Wednesday for all my comic and books Staff is super friendly

Spandex City: what do users think?
David Wiggins: Best game/comic book experience. Jeremy the manager is very friendly and informative. Plus the ice cream is great.
Johnnie Britton: Great comic book store. Took my kids to buy there first comic books there and they loved it. Will be back soon.
Jon Buck: The owner doesn't accept 100 dollar bills and inventory in there is alot, kinda pricey too
Aquarius Flow100: I took My son here for his 12th Bday & it was great. The Manager there was very accommodating, knowledgeable, & nice. The kids had fun playing pin ball machines, eating ice cream, reading comic books, & buying pokemon cards & other things they had in the store. This place was a big hit for boys 10-14 ..... they have a selection of marvel, DC comics, & more.
Doug waddell: I thought it was a gamers place. I didn't see any comics at all besides modern this and that. The real comic book stores are in Plaza Midwood Charlotte
Cody Barrett: Great all-around selection of comics, collectibles, games, etc. Owner is very nice and helpful also great ice cream
Wes Lowe: A staple in the community, this hidden gem within the strip mall remains the home base for fantasy play and more. Kid friendly, Magic and Pokemon enthusiast welcome. Best ice cream around. Amazing selection of the comics and paraphernalia.
Liam Shenhav: Great store! Staff was nice, and allowed me to play a bit early for the Saturday Pokemon battles. Great selection, great, staff, and a good overall experience there! 10/10, I am definitely coming back soon.EDIT: I left my deck in their store yesterday (2/18/23), and they held it for me to pick it up. The staff gets nicer and nicer when every time I go there.
S Holls: This place is alright. Great if you want to hang out and play cards or want to walk out with something that day.
Nay Barrett: Good variety. My son loved it. Very good Ice cream. Professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable.
darnell whitley: Great ice cream 🍦
Jackie O'Connor: Graeat place! My granddaughter Katie and I go there. Jeremy is a great host!
Zach Allran: Surprised by the low comic selection
jason jones: Great for comic books and paraphernalia... But, the customer service & ice cream selection is mediocre at best
Scott Koon: Can't say enough great things about Spandex City! He took the time to teach my son how to play (not just collect) the pokemon card game. They have a great selection of comics and you can tell the passion they have! Makes for a great experience!
Antonio Rosado: Cards, comics, and ice cream? What's not to love?I'd rate the place 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that it's so small. It would definitely benefit from more square feet within, which diminishes the overall offerings. But we used this location as a place to entertain our kids and keep them busy while we perused the store's offerings.
Charles Rivers: Jeremy rocks.
dominique bostic-arrington: Knowledgeable and friendly staff, great products!
Bryan Murphy: They were so helpful and accepting. Was a really great experience.
Ryan Rice: Very helpful staff and a good assortment of comics for all ages. There are refreshments and ice cream.
Martin Whaley: Bit smaller than expected

A. Pennyworth's Comics: what do users think?
Chris Smith: Great shop with a nice variety. Owner was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Starfighter-14: Great selection of comics, graphic novels and figures. Well worth the vist.
Elias Melendez: This shop has great deals and nice comics and a wide variety of tpb and hc. But the customer service was horrible. Idk if it was a race thing or if whoever was behind the counter was having a bad day, but just rude, didn’t help at all. Horrible experience, wouldn’t Recommend this store at all. There are way better shops around.
Thomas Lin: I’ve been coming here for about six years now. My favorite comic book shop to go to in the Matthews area. The owner is actually pretty chill and laid back, if he appears “unfriendly” I wouldn’t blame the guy considering he runs a shop seemingly all by himself which in itself is impressive, but he also offers better customer service as a result, given he usually doesn’t have another associate to focus on more rather than customers inside the shop. Always asks me for help whenever I enter, and he will ship an out-of-stock book to the store for me. He also doesn’t disrespect me nor give me any pressure when shopping so it’s pretty chill. I prefer this place over heroes given that it seems more comfortable to shop in if you’re introverted and don’t like the atmosphere of the much larger shops.
C Morris: I’ve been going several times and it’s always the same. The owner is not friendly or welcoming. If you try to talk about superhero related things he acts as if you’re a bothersome or nuisance to him. He looks miserable and has a negative attitude. If you have a business marketed towards children and adults, well try being personable and kind. Act like you want to be there as well as your customers that come into your place of business! Guys, take your business elsewhere that’ll be appreciated, because this establishment isn’t worth your money or time!
Lump lumpson: Great local shop, the owner is always super helpful with any question you might have. Also, selection is solid compared to a lot of other comics stores in the area.
Sally Acorn: This is the most best store ever it has all the sonic comics that I looooove so much
Daniel S: From day one I've had a better experience than his competitor down the street. I switched my business several years ago and haven't looked back once.
James Kressner: Met at heroes convention! Super awesome and a great deal! Thanks again!
Hannah Ernstsen: Terrible customer service. At HeroesCon and was denied a sale because to use a credit card they require a $25 minimum (for $1 comics!!) The guy did not care and did the same thing to the next person... This is 2022, would recommend investing in a Square.
Orhan Sarabi: Called to see if comic was available and told sure had plenty of copies come by. Asked if we could pay over phone told no need to will have copies. Came by 40 mins later and all sold out?! When asked why he said he would have he just said oh well. Very rude, dismissive. He never onced said sorry or was at all concerned. Owner clearly lacks basic customer service skills. Would highly recommend not to shop there when there is Rebel Base. Hereos arent hard to find or Hardy Boys....
leo !!!: my favorite comic book store!!! owner is super kind and friendly and i always have a lot of fun going there. very good prices
Monte Harrington: Great place
Garie Shrewsbury: Went with a friend the other day, and it's a well organized store, with knowledgeable staff. We were asked what we were looking for, and taken to exactly where it was. Great Comic store!
Daniel Escobedo: Exelent!!
Jeffrey Dellapina: Excellent selection of comics both old and new. The store is always bright and inviting. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable too. Definitely check them out.
Uhland Michael: Asked the staff for help and they told me to go to a different shop that had what I needed. Small, not the greatest selection.
EriktheHeartless: Went by this gem today to look for some toploaders unfortunately they were out at the time. But had a pleasant conversation with the man behind the counter. Definitely worth a stop if you are into comics and good service. Your store is an example of how customers should be treated.
CARLOS GONCALVES (CADU): exceeded my expectations, a great collection of comics and statues, I'll be back more often for sure
Robert Bierzynski: Place was by far the most unorganized shop E V E R. IS COPPER PRICES DOWN AGAIN? Anyone who reads this should not waste their time and no matter what a PENNYWORTH'S on anything in the place. That is if anything in the place is really even worth a Penny. True example of what happens when you give your children a store to run without teaching them commonsense... oh yeah... a PENNYWORTH'S.. I GET IT NOW.

2nd & Charles: what do users think?
Felix Adam: This is a great store. Has a great look and a great vibe. Regrettably, the prices are priced over or at MSRP. Anything you can find here you can find online for 30% less. I looked up several items. The store does have a very large variety of stuff to look at and for someone this is worth it.
Darren Mason: Selling is a lot easier online, not much of an advantage to coming in unless you for sure want store credit to buy something else.
George Chillz: Found 3 books that I was highly interested in. 3 books ended up costing me the price of one brand new hardback. Great little store with fantastic deals and prices. You can spend a lot of time in this place browsing.
Jessica Salazar: cool place but kpop albums don't have photocards. disappointed, might return them if possible
Joy W: Way too overpriced. Books are bent and dirty and still being sold at msrp.
Roberto Ho: They have good deals, if you look for them. Like some other reviewers I had problems with the organization of the store, the prices and the separation of new and used items. Some of the prices are ridiculous. My wife found a book with an original sticker on it for one price and their sticker had a much higher price. But we also found tons of quality books for really cheap. You just have to look.
Vee: This place is the most over priced 2&C I have ever been in. And I've been in A LOT. Not to mention, it's not well kept, slightly junky and the fiction section is NOT in Alphabetical order. Looks like they shove groups of books wherever they can. I get it... Customers are jerks that put stuff down in wrong places, but this is groups of books by one author in the wrong place. There several shelves of "F" sandwiched between a bunch of "E". At least Oxford Al 2&C managed to keep the authors in the right sections. Books I have seen at other 2&Cs for $8.50 were $14+ dollars here. Opened Pops, with no boxes, in bags were $24-35. Ha. No, thank you. Definitely won't be back on the next trip.
Evan Schultheis: They don't give any value for used items and then turn around and sell them for the same price as new. They do have collectible stuff sometimes that's a few years old if you missed it but that's about it.Just go to Ebay if you want any money for your items TBH.
Kat Jeffries: Great book store, very large sections. I was able to find a book i had been looking for for months at a much cheaper price than i could find online!
Monte Waddill: This store is fantastic shopping experience. I am a clearance sale junky, no doubt. Go to the back first so you can geta cart full before you max out your card. V A R I E T Y is here, and lots of cool stuff like guitars and CDs, Vinyl Records, wow!
Samantha Taylor: I love the concept of this store, but as a Funko collector, if you trade in, you will not get anywhere near what your pop is worth. They should give more of a percentage if you're asking for store credit, but they don't do that. They have a case where you can purchase higher end, grail Funkos, but they charge PPG for damaged boxes. The way they are displayed, you have no idea what is behind the front displayed boxes unless you ask for assistance. Also, you need to bring your own bag unless you want to pay $2 to $5 to purchase one. There are times you can find a hidden gem on the Funko shelf. They do have a great selection of comic books, and of course books.
Be-U-tiful Dezines: Always a pleasure shopping here...wide variety of items
Latavia Pharr: This place is awesome! Something for each member of my family.
Alana Cooper: Lexis helped me by phone, looking to see if they had Strangers on A Train by Alfred Hitchcock and when she couldn’t find it there she offered to order it brand new and ship to my door. Beautiful customer service. Thanks
Sebastian Bermudez: The best book store in charlotte
Susi Brown: Found the book I wanted for a good price.
Craig Schmitt: Great selection of new and used things (books comics, games, CDs, and DVDs). There also a bunch of genre shirts, toys, games, and accessories. They even sell musical instruments and albums on vinyl. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. It's a really cool store all around! It's a great place to walk around but be prepared to stay for awhile, because there's a lot to take in.
Jonathan Phillips: Always a good selection of movies, books, graphic novels, and video games. We go here once every few months and never leave empty handed. The prices can't be beat.
Dave Hanson: There are lots of interesting things to look at. Books of course but also collectable items music and games
Melissa Grier: Nice store but very slow when it comes to selling or trading games
Althea Sartin: Just amazing! 😍

Parker Banner Kent & Wayne: what do users think?
Mitchell Fullerton: Just took my mom there to buy a few games for a novice-friendly game night. They have a huge game selection. Super friendly staff.Ended up with Dixit and an expansion.Would recommend them for games in the lake Norman area. I didn't even get the chance to browse the comics but it looked like woodland.
Joe Karol: Great Comic selection. Can play Magic.
Keila KelRo Mel: The best place for games comic books and table top wars 😀
Eric Vaughn: Probably the best game store in the area.
Papa Nightmare: Good selection of back issues. Plenty of comic book supplies. Very helpful staff. Love that they are open late.
Amelia & Phil Solesky: Excellent store, great employees, phenomenal selection, and incredible customer care. We took our boys 8&9 and the atmosphere was great, the store was divided well and organized. Perfect tabletop and card game store! Id give 10 stars if I could. Prices are great too!!!
Mason Ballowe: Best place around.
Talden J: Great venue, love playing here,
Vincent Marquez: Great staff and great store. Plenty if space to play and shop.
Amos McCandless: Great hobby shop to spend all your hard-earned money at! The owners do a great job of providing a welcoming atmosphere, a wide range of hobbies, and events to play with great people. I love going here. There's usually a dog wandering around looking for attention, which adds to the charm. Great place to spend an evening or afternoon.
Dustin F: This place is always great.
kevin kent: Owner and staff are very friendly! They always have a large selection of comics and games to choose from!
Melissa Hinzman: If the woman who works there there hates it so much, perhaps she should either get a different job or just stay home. Being rude to repeat paying customers who also happen to participate in games there isn’t a good business model. And this wasn’t a one-time occurrence either.
Jon Sol: Great service. Great people. Great place. If you're into tabletop games or comics, this is the spot!
Tim Schmidt: Top-tier comic book store. Affordable back issues with incredible variety. I'm particularly pleased by the great prices on bronze age comics. 50 cent readers by the door and a friendly staff make this one of the best stores I've visited. And I've visited a lot!
Barbara Palone: Amazing place. Love it everytime I get to go.
Craig Schmitt: Nice comic shop, including lots of back issues and trades. There's a big focus on gaming here, as they have tons of gaming supplies (Star Wars, D&D, etc.). Also a large area of the shop is dedicated to gaming tables. I'm a little out of my depth on this, but it looks like a great space for those interested.
Greg Roberts: Great Comic book shop with huge selection of games
Rachel Holleman: Atmosphere here is great. You can feel the love and care the owner puts into making the shop feel so comfortable.
Brandon May: Fantastic selection of board games. Good selection of minis. Okay selection of trading card games. Subpar to poor selection of comics. I understand, comics seem to be going bye-bye. But it still sucks for us comic lovers. But, they do have a nice room with lots of tables to play. So there's that.
John Berger: Great little gaming store, well stocked with a variety of board games, card games and miniature gaming. Has a variety of playing tables as well.
