Ruby Byers: My daughter got me this class for a birthday gift. She attended with me. The chef (Gloria) was awesome! The rest of the staff (Britt, April, and Shay) were as well. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and sanitary. I would highly recommend this class for anyone who needs help with ideas or techniques or for those who cook well already. So much fun!!!

From the kid/teen classes & camps, to the perfect date night menus with my husband, or a fun cake decorating class by myself, CAK has us covered! Chef Alyssa & Andrew are the best in the business and have exceptional staff. They bring a wealth of knowledge and are communicative, honest & caring. Pastry Chef Hilary has amazing dessert menus and Chefs Gloria, Britt, JQ, April, Brittany & others are SO helpful and kind - there’s never a dumb question with them and I’ve asked a few 😅 They always take the time to make sure you understand the steps. If I ever had a problem, I know they would handle it, no matter what it is! I deeply appreciate that they prioritize supporting local farms & businesses. Their menus are diverse and I’m always learning something new every class. Be sure to bring a to go box for the extra goodies you can bring home!

They decided to get wasted and created a disruption by constantly talking while the instructorwas explaining how to prepare the meals. Daniel Riggi: Working with CAK’s corporate representative was a terrible experience, which is sad because I have heard good things about their classes and we were all looking forward to experiencing one. I tried to book an event for a small work team over 3 months out and was first told that I was too early to do so. Then, I was told my group was too small (5 ppl) for a private event and would have to book for a regular scheduled event, which I understood and was fine with. When it came down to booking the event for our discussed/desires date, the window for sign ups was closed within hours, at most (I was notified in the evening about the openings - looked - already closed). You’d think it’d be a good business practice to hold an easy 5 spots for a client who has been in constant communication regarding the event, but I guess not. After that, I got a few ‘run around’ e-mails and then eventually no response (after the representative told me “he’d let me know about moving attendees to other days to fit us in).If you’re looking to book for a small group make sure to have a backup plan set up as well.

Wesley Lowery: Had a team building session and it was great. Chef Alyssa and staff was wonderful. Got to cook some good food using fresh ingredients and with some good teammates/collegues from work.

Cecilia Prentice: We used her custom meal prep service for food for a bachelorette party. It was perfect. Everyone could eat what they wanted when they wanted with minimal cleanup. And everything was delicious. Really generous serving sizes as well

Amy Powell: I have been on the waiting list to attend a class and finally found one that works for our schedule! These classes sell out quickly, so you will likely need to sign up as soon as the menu is announced. I recommend the newsletter to keep up! Our class was tapas style, which is usually done as a private event but they told us they were experimenting with this style. My husband and I really enjoyed it because it allowed us to go to a station for one dish, enjoy it at our table, and then hop to the next. Each station was very different and I really liked spreading out each experience! All of the ingredients for each dish were pre-prepped or sorted into serving sizes containers. A PDF with the recipe for each dish was provided so that we can try to replicate our favorites at home. The flavors were so good! We tried some things for the first time ever! While this was a date night for us, there were some in attendance in alone, and some in friend groups. Chef Alyssa (a native Charlottean) and her assistant chefs were super helpful, personable, and clearly enjoy what they do for a living! The assistant chefs are all culinary school graduates, several from Johnson & Wales. It’s so refreshing to see niche businesses like this flourish in our community. We definitely plan to go back.

John Frank: Lucked out in getting a spot in todays Fish workshop. Had registered back a few weeks ago but was sold out and on waiting list and this morning about 90 minutes before it was to start got the call a last minute cancellation opened a spot for me. What a great learning experience of Filleting a fish and preparing it three ways (grilling, roasting with vegetables and pan searing) as well as making Fish Fumet (broth). Such a good supported experience for the Chef and her wonderful staff. Got to eat and taste the delights we made. She demos but then we get to make as well and lots of helpers around. They do lots of other things there from making food, delivering it and doing special type events as well as the classes. You can't go wrong to take a class or get food from them. Heather P: I planned the Chopped Style cooking class for a team building event for work, and this did not disappoint! Andrew was very organized and pleasant to help get everything set up. They were very accommodating to food allergies. We had a wine and open bar option, so drinks were available. The food and ingredients were high quality and fresh! I loved the design of the building and area also. I cannot wait to come back with my husband one evening!

I took a few online classes during the pandemic and I still use the gumbo recipe to this day! They are great to refer back to techniques like remembering how to roll out dumpling wrappers into perfect circles or break down a whole chicken. It’s BYO but also has a little bar with options for purchase.

When i dipped it in the hot sauce it was better. The brussel sprouts had too much balsamic vinegar on them but the totes were good. There were 2 people in front of me after the manager takes there order he comes to me and tell me he was closing the window and to go to drive thru and the line was long in drive thru. On top of that he slammed the window and walked off very rude not sure why he still has a job. If I was to treat my customers like this we would not be in business. Emilie: Their food is always good and always correct. However, know that when you say you'd like a half-and-half tea, they give you an Arnold Palmer. And the sugar from it will destroy the electronic, center console panel in your car if the cup was delivered cracked like mine. Trust me, you don't want to replace it! That mistake cost me $3,000 to fix my BMW, the center control panel that controlled my windows, my nav system, my everything bc it was destroyed by the high sugar content.
