Josh Kruzich: There are many “pop-up” solar companies that will sell you solar. Renu is NOT one of them. They had deep experience in both commercial and residential installations and the sales rep was responsive, very knowledgeable about all things solar and interconnect related, and actually did his best to keep me from overbuying more capacity than I would need, saving me money. The install team was fast and cleaned up everything when done. They also talked me through everything and answered all of my questions. I’ve had no issues with the install and am beyond happy with my system 2.5 years after install. There may be cheaper options out there but you will get your money’s worth with Renu.

Tony Kelly: My wife and I contracted with Renu Energy Solutions for a very large, extremely complex solar and energy storage build. It was not for the faint of heart! We specifically chose Renu because of their ability to handle just about anything. We needed a company we could trust who had the expertise and intestinal fortitude to get the job done regardless of any hurdles. During the build process there were multiple unanticipated challenges which would have proven insurmountable for other solar companies. While our journey was not without hiccup or indigestion, Renu did not let us down. They proved themselves trustworthy even when it was not always convenient or profitable for them to do so! Trust is a huge factor when choosing who to work with, and Renu has proven to be worthy of that trust. We value this most about them. We are also thrilled with our system, as it has exceeded our expectations magnificently! Our solar build was not designed as an off-grid system, but for fun we opted to put it to the test. We decided to spend 8 days completely off-grid… in June, through summer heat, rain, and storm. 8 people off-grid for 8 days. Much to our delight, the resulting impact on our lifestyle was surprisingly minimal! For the most part, it was life as usual, including continuously running multiple refrigerators and freezers, cooking, baking, microwaving, air frying and doing laundry, in addition to selectively running both a 3 ton and a 5 ton AC unit. I didn’t even have to forego my daily espressos! The quality and capabilities of our system are truly astounding. While all this is honestly amazing and we are indeed loving our new system, the most valuable takeaway here is that Renu Energy Solutions is a capable company who stands by their work and values their word!

Ashish Upadhyay: Update 2 - Blue Raven reached out promptly and sent there team to do the clean up and make it right. Like there quick response and the effort to make it right. The crew also called me up.Update - When I checked later the cleanup wasn’t done properly. I could see left over packages on the roof of the house and the attic had left over staples/nails. Almost stepped on them which could have been very painful. Also, the team dropped screws on the carpet which was picked up by my 1 year old(luckily we saw it before he could put it in his mouth). So downgrading the rating.Jay and his crew helped with the installation. Very professional, friendly and performed good work. Before and after installation he explained me the work. Would definately recommend.

Josh Kamer: The general process wasn't too bad up through install. Everyone was pretty professional and quick. Where the issue came into play was activation. I kept getting reminders from Duke for various documents to activate which i sent to the BRS team. I ended up getting confirmation from BRS that i could turn on the system in October '22. I was excited until i got notification a few months later that duke was still missing documents. I was furious and sent over the appropriate documents. I officially turned the system on a few months later but the system had been on, so duke was getting back that solar energy for free while charging me for full electricity. Upon discussing with BRS, their lack of records and dealing with Duke for me has been nothing less than infuriating. I'm promised updates from their project team and weeks go by without response. At this point, it seems they've ghosted me and unwilling to help me recover those few months of solar savings.

Jewel Mack: Unfortunately my experience has not been great. When I first got the solar panels, I was told that they would give me a second thermostat for my upstairs. When I called to get it, my sales person forgot to put it in the notes, so they were going to charge me for it. Now, I've been sitting without solar panels for over 8 months, in which the app was never given to me so I could monitor my own panels. I've been paying two electric bills, and the only thing Blue Raven would compensate for was for when I called in the problem, after my electricity company told me it was out. I explained to them that I would have never known that it was out if my bill wasn't as high as it was during the winter, since I use gas in the winter time. Blue Raven stated they will only compensate for the last 2 months, versus the time I've been without solar, even though there was no way for me to know that they were out. This is unacceptable customer service. I've had to call each time to get updates on the work order, versus them keeping me informed. I am truly unhappy.

I had some concerns about how the conduit placement would look, Jay took a few minutes to listen to my concerns and told me not to worry he would make it look good. WOW! Shanda Proulx: Attempted 4 times since April 20, 2020 to reach Charlotte Credit Manager regarding credit application for family electrical business. I left two voicemails; one on April 20th and one on April 22nd. Both times it went right into voicemail. After calling the office on April 23rd, I was given another contact name and phone number; this individual answered my call right away and provided answers to my questions. I emailed her and the Charlotte Credit Manager minutes later with required documentation. I heard nothing. I emailed Charlotte Credit Manager again on May 4th inquiring about the status of our credit application. I still have yet to hear anything. As a result, the owner of the business will be making a phone call to the office tomorrow to report our numerous attempts. We have other accounts at other supply houses in the Charlotte area. They have been open and gracious to accept our business. Not impressed.
