DOING THINGS LIKE CHARGING ME THEIR HOURLY RATE IN INCREMENTS OF 15 MINUTES FOR PHONE CALLS THAT WERE NOT NECESSARY AND THEN HAD POOR COMMUNICATION WHEN IT WAS NEEDED. I found out we were paying for our lawyers having conversations that weren't about our case. So my daughter father and I had to come up with our own agreement without the lawyers. I call Sept 2 and stated I no longer needed their services. I've received two bills since then that I told them to take out of my retainer. I thought that would be the last of it. Yet I just got another bill today and my case is closed.

I wish there had been more honest and recent reviews when I selected them to represent me.My attorney and this firm just run the meter to get billable time. The representation was inadequate and accomplished nothing over the 9 months of engagement. Over $20k spent and no progress was made in that time. We had one mediation and it was essentially a waste of time because I ended up agreeing to and feeling pressured by my attorney and the mediator to agree to an offer I could not possibly afford.The attorney and staff would bill in 15 minute increments but to run the meter, it would take 15 minutes to read a short email, 15 minutes to reply to the short email and then when they do not address all the questions asked and you reply back to address that it would be another 15 minutes each way. So I would be billed and hour for something that should have been less then 10 minutes worth of effort.I was so glad when I switched and learned that not all lawyers worked like this firm. I would recommend you take your business elsewhere.

I found Remington & Dixon from an advertisement letter through the mail (I think because in North Carolina, attorneys can advertise this way using public court case information). I ended up contacting them through their web form on their website.E-mail communications with these guys are always quick - I always got replies within a couple of hours. They were realistic with setting expectations on whey they could achieve with the ticket. The best part about hiring an attorney was that I didn't have to plead my case to the district attorney or in front of a judge myself, as I have exactly zero experience in doing that.In the end, I was glad that I paid for their service, because for my case, they helped me get my ticket reduced to a point that would not affect my auto insurance rates. The fee I paid was a fraction of what I would have gotten in insurance increases in the next few years.

Actually, they were better than flawless. They completely exceeded my expectations both times. Not only were my tickets reduced to non-moving violations, but a silly license plate frame infraction was dismissed outright. They were excellent communicators, and I always knew what was happening each step of the way. They are extremely affordable and because of them my court costs and fines were also very low. I needed someone to represent my interest in settling the property that was purchased jointly. Unfortunately I hired another firm I found through a Google search in Uptown Charlotte. Nine months later, I was still no closer to having any resolution. My original attorney was not responsive, to me nor to opposing counsel.
