Cali Vasaturo: Wonderful shop, place was clean and welcoming. I emailed extensively with Canvas prior to my appointment, and felt like my wants were heard and taken into consideration. Noyan took great care in placing my stencil and redid it a few times until I was happy with it. We deviated from my original design but I trust his opinion as a tattoo artist. Tattoo went seamlessly, he was pretty quick too. For a small hand tattoo it took longer to place it than it did to tattoo it! He even gave me some extra second-skin to take home after the one I have on now falls off. Overall I am very happy with the experience and would visit Canvas again. The only mild complaint I have is that they are cash only, and it’s 2023!

Gregory Hand: My friend and I had appointments to see Anyi, they were booked over a week out. The receptionist had us send in pictures and detailed descriptions of what we wanted. My tattoo was simple, and my friend wanted a unique tattoo developed from inspirations of multiple different ones. Was very well explain in the email.Day of tattoo we show up, Anyi only had a stencil of a tattoo for me, but wasn’t the picture I sent. She had nothing for my friend. Was not personable, and we really wanted some artist freedom and creativity to show us something. So it felt rushed to develop something on the spot instead of being shown an option or two. Our appointment was at 1. We didn’t get taken back to the chair until after 2.While in the chair my friend was asking questions about hers, and wanting the placement right. Anyi told her once I put the stencil I can’t move it. Which is not something I’ve ever experienced at another place. Normally if you don’t like the placement, take it off and do it again. Customer service 101. She wasn’t personable at all, and had like no people skills. Then when it came time for me to get my tattoo she was rushing. Because she had two clients backed up. Our appointments were 1 and 2 respectively. And I didn’t sit in the chair until almost 330-340. At the point my tattoo felt rushed and not important to her. I could feel she was rushing because the speed, and pressure she was applying on my leg. She even had a a couple people comment how fast she did it for what I was getting. I will say her work is decent. Could be better, and the experience itself can make anything better. But the not so great experience truly took away from it, and really makes all the negative things stand out. This place seems like they have a lot of great artist. They really should make sure all artist are willing to work with the customers. Unfortunately I don’t think we’d ever go back to this location.

Erin Anderson: Honestly would give zero stars if I could. I’ve been there two times & BOTH times my tattoos were messed up. First time, the artist complained about how bad he was at doing circles, took a smoke break in between (it was a small tattoo that should have taken 5 minutes) and completely messed it up. No one wants to hear WHILE getting a tattoo that their artist is completely uncomfortable and not confident in doing it. Second time I gave them a chance they literally misspelled the tattoo when I specifically wrote it out for them. Serious incompetence and they never even responded to me about it when I confronted them. (**edited to add they finally responded to me & gave me a refund after I made this review). They don’t pair you up with artists that know what they’re doing or are qualified to do the tattoo you ask for. They didn’t even care or put in any extra effort to ensure that the tattoo was well done. Would not recommend.

nat: I realized I forgot to write a review earlier so I’m writing it now. I absolutely LOVED this place! About two or three months ago, I went to Stephanie for a pretty big tattoo, which was my second, and I truly wished I had gone to her for my first. She was super friendly and welcoming, which was a LOT better than my first artist. During our consult, I showed her my idea and she talked me through and gave me excellent advice. My first tattoo was very small, and I really don’t know much about bigger shaded pieces, but Stephanie was great in explaining everything to me and I trusted her fully. On the day of, I went in with my mom and was struggling because I have a very low pain tolerance, but she was super sweet and talkative through the toughest parts, which made me feel a lot more comfortable. Her work is absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t be happier, and I’m 100% going to her for my future tattoos. The price was definitely reasonable for her time and the complexity, and I can’t wait to book my next tattoo with her when I get the chance. And it wasn’t only Stephanie that was awesome, but everyone else was super nice as well! The receptionist, as well the other artists in the shop were great as well. Joseph Tan: Drove up from Columbia to get tattooed here twice so far and Jason took a picture I sent him of a photo realistic Saint Michael and literally put the exact picture on my arm all in one session. I wanted a basic cloud background to fill in the gap between the bottom of that tattoo and the other half of my sleeve but he said he thought a dove could fill that spot pretty well and I let him run with it and it came out absolutely perfect. He was able to take the top of my existing tattoo and make it flow perfectly from my shoulder to my wrist. Roughly 6 hours for the first session and 3 for the second and we didn’t run out of stuff to talk about. Truly an artist that will take exactly what you want and then know exactly what to add when you need some inspiration. I had several questions as I wanted to understand the design process and was excited to talk but he just left in the middle of the conversation and said to book an appointment for the tattoo. no information given going into the consult and got none leaving. he did not care to introduce himself, get to know our names, our experience with tattoos, if we had any questions, how to contact regarding the design; basic welcoming things anywhere especially with something as intimate and intimidating as a tattoo for many. the environment did not feel comforting to me especially as someone who was nervous yet excited about getting the tattoo and booking something. he also did not seem particularly interested from the second we spoke. with something this expensive and permanent, comfortability and familiarity are important going in so I have decided to not look at this shop anymore.

We told him we wanted ear piercings and he said that was his expertise..Michael was super friendly, welcoming, calming and truly interested in us as his customers. He made us laugh and felt so comfortable with him piercing our ears. The piercing was virtually painless and took only 2-3 minutes from start to finish.
