David Falcucci: Go see Mike and support our community! Hands down, always has the best selection of plants. I bought an orange crayfish from Mike and he is thriving with all my tetras. I put a lot of caves and leaves in the 36 gallon to keep him busy. I got 8 cherry barbs and numerous fish from Mike, all doing very well. They also have frozen brine shrimp available which is a great meal option for specific types of fish.

I have never had any issue with unhealthy fish or plants, and everything I've ever purchased is still healthy and happy. Always worth the drive from south of Rock Hill. Unbeatable selection of fish and hardscape, and my son and I feel like we're visiting the zoo every time. I hope to support C-Macs for years to come.

Patrick Ropp: Generally good experience. Good selections and knowledgeable people. I live 40 minutes away and pass multiple aquariums to come there. Plan was 5-6 fish to purchase today. They were busy, which is understandable. Young kid asked to help and I said yes wanted some fish but asked if they had Florida flag fish currently, as they have in the past. He went to the back to ask. A few minutes later he was back helping someone else, completely left me. I waited around and after a few minutes he walked by and said they didn’t and gave me other options. I was holding off for that particular fish but wanted the other fish. He went back to the other people rather than finishing me. Was a bit frustrated. After a few more minutes I just left and went somewhere else. Bummed.

Kitty Monnier: Was excited to visit for the first time while in the area, as they are listed as open. We go up to the door which is locked, and after a bit of confusion, notice a near impossible to see note posted thru the heavily tinted glass stating they are closed for remodeling. Would be nice if they updated their hours or at the very least posted a visible notice perhaps on the outside of the glass rather than behind it.

Mariah Bodsford: Drove an hour to come check this place out. Leaving very disappointed.. barely any stock, especially in the saltwater side. Bubble algae in one of the coral tanks.It's a huge store, why not utilize it??

M S: Bought three female bettas. Two of them died within 10 days or purchase. All other fishes on the same aquarium, along with other bettas from Petco are doing absolutely fine.Their prices are also three times than regular stores for a seemingly same fish. Also, no refund or adjustment “Store Policy”Their tanks smell, you can see the fishes are not kept in sanitary conditions and looks like they could care less. The whole attitude of this place is off. Feels little unethical to be honest. Will not be shopping here EVER AGAIN. Wish I had read the negative reviews beforehand.

Gillian Lingo: My first and most recent experience with this place was subpar. I bought a pearl gourami from them last Saturday and it died after 5 days from columnaris. I did a water test and my parameters were perfect. (0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate) The fish was definitely sick before I put him in my tank.They had a lot of great fish and good variety. They had a great storefront and I would love to give them 5 stars, but columnaris is just not ok. PLEASE treat your tanks because I fear that it may spread to the rest of your fish.I thought it would be fair for me to at LEAST get a full refund for the fish, but alas…when I called them, they said that it wasn’t their problem. They have some sort of store policy which makes them unable to refund fish for any reason whatsoever. It seems a bit unfair because I lost multiple of my fish to the disease. I also had to buy medication to attempt to cure them and it was a lot of trouble.

Frances Taylor: No disrespect to any of you who have had a bad experience at Aquatica . I am also a new beginner in this field but I came prepared with knowledge of what I was looking for and what I wanted to do.That is the key for any project you are starting, never go into a store without researching your project. I have only visited once and had a great time looking at all the beautiful fish and I asked a lot of questions and they were very kind to me and very helpful. It's hard sometimes for people to help everyone but that doesn't mean they are ignoring you on purpose. They may have been busy and didn't see you come in. I saw some dead fish,too but that means absolutely nothing but it's a dead fish. Fish can be handled to often during shipment and during delivery and being set back up in a new place or even chasing fish around in a tank for them to catch your favorite fish you with all those factors can cause stress on any fish and cause fish to die in tanks, it's just the way it is. Looking forward to my next visit

Mike Schmidt: I had been a regular customer of Aquatica / Clanton Rd. this year, having bought aquarium equipment, fish and water treatment chemicals. I had a TERRIBLE experience today and won't be coming back to this location ever again - until the two unfriendly and unprofessional young clerks and their responsible managers are no longer there! Not only could they not provide any useful advice on the different sizes of UV sterilizers they sell, they refused to show me the difference in physical size of the units, saying the store policy is "if you open the box, you bought it!" When I questioned that policy and asked for a manager, I was told she was out for lunch. Having bought the unit, I wanted to show them how they could have opened the cardbox box (which was not taped shut) to simply let me look at the units, the one clerk questioned me "What have you got against me anyway?" When I responded that my issue was the policy, not her, she turned her back to me, walked away with her nose up, and said "Have a nice day, sir..." When I said that being rude was on her, not the store policy, the other clerk chimed in "Get out of the store!" When I asked for his name he refused to provide it (although I have the names of both clerks). When I called the Mooresville store to complain about the incident, the manager apologized and assured me that this was NOT the store policy - that they show customers equipment all the time. I may give the Mooresville location a chance going forward.
