Chris Schappell: We recently engaged Sir Grout to clean and seal our bathroom floors, walk-in shower, laundry room and kitchen backsplash. Scott came out and went through their process in detail and was very timely on providing their quotation and scheduling the work. Jamar came out to conduct the work and went above and beyond in his efforts to clean and color seal the grout and tile in these areas. He explained everything well and even met with our builder to point out a few concerns and has agreed to come back to complete the work at a later time due to the builder needing to make some corrections prior to Sir Grout completing the work. We hired this team due to their quality reviews on Google and I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone that could benefit from their services. The team went above and beyond!

We received a call back within an hour or so ...(the other company we called didn't get back to us until a week later)...and an appointment was scheduled for a couple days later. Jamar did the estimate and we were impressed by his knowledge, expertise and professionalism. We were able to schedule the work for the following week and were given a start time of 9:00 a.m. and told that Curtis would be doing the work. Curtis arrived promptly (!) at 8:59 and set to work immediately. He was courteous and personable and he answered all of our questions with ease. There was some confusion on the grout color but Curtis resolved it quickly and the completed work was beautiful! We couldn't be happier!

Stacy Rovner: Arranged to have an estimate today to re-grout my shower. General manager came in to do a sales pitch. I wanted an estimate to re-grout my master shower and to re-finish my marble counter tops. The estimate was over $3000 for my shower!!! Never gave me an estimate for my marble countertops but gave me an estimate to re-do my floor. Constantly telling me what a terrible job the builder did and how my floors would be so dirty if I did not re-do them. Was so turned off by the whole experience. I would stay clear.

Simon Le: I just got the grout cleaning in my shower completed along with the epoxy repair for the crack on the marble in my kitchen counter on November 16, 2022. And the results are AMAZING!!! Unreal how good it looks now! They are expensive but I'm not sure if any other company can do better. I also purchased their natural hard surface cleaner to maintain the results. Xavier was my technician and Sir Grout needs to give him a raise!! Excellent service and communication! I'm very pleased with Xavier's top notch service.

Brian Lauer: Outstanding service and quality. We had approximately 2000 sq of hardwood sanded and re-finished. He met with us on multiple occasions to pick a stain and develop a plan, since we had many moving parts. (renting an AirBNB while the work was being completed) He started on time and completed the project exactly when he said he would. We even added the stairs and island mid-project and he was still able to complete on time. I would come by the house in the evening around 7pm and they would be working. The quality is unmatched. We couldn't be happier. On another note, my 5 year old did something to the stain about 2 months in. I contacted him. He came over and fixed the problem with no charge. They stand by their work. JD Williams: I was remodeling an older home I recently purchased and to save money I was doing as much of the work myself with the help of friends and family. The house was built in 1955 and has the original hardwoods throughout. To this point I'd had success You Tubing and doing things myself and thought "how hard can it be to sand and refinish the floors". I took wood shop in school... Well after completely screwing up my floors with poor sanding and uneven staining I called Scott's Sanding. They came out and did an AMAZING job. Hannah: After a mishap with another local flooring company who couldn’t deliver what they promised, I was in a bind when referred to Scott and his team by a friend who said they had done great work on his new home. I was under a major time constraint and on a budget. Scott was communicative and his team delivered beautiful floors the very week after providing me with a reasonable quote. I went from 3inch 90s yellow wood flooring downstairs in BAD shape to a full tear up and install of 4inch oak floors with espresso stain (multi stairs and staircase railings included in the upgrade).
John Barnshaw: It went great! Scott and his team were able to remove the damaged marks in the floor. They had to do all our wood floors on our first floor, since the rooms were continuous. His team moved all our first floor furniture into our sunroom and then when the job was completed moved it all back. No easy job and no damage to the new refinished floor. The sanding job was done with minimal sand dust and then three coats of Poly were applied over four days. Had four bids and Scott's was the lowest and we felt best. We are very pleased with the job that Scott and team did and would recommend them to anyone! Faith & John

Alan: Scott Kivek and his team did a fantastic job refinishing my red oak hardwood floors and stairs. They were here on time and finished exactly when they said they would for a reasonable price. The last time I had the floors refinished, there was so much dust we could hardly breathe, but we had minimal dust issues and my floors are beautiful. They also did a much better job putting the quarter round back down than the original floor installer.

Kaitlin Marvin: I would not recommend using Scott’s services. It is our biggest regret. We purchased a new home and knew from our previous to homes it is best to apply a maintenance coat to continue to protect the floors. We hired Scott because he had good reviews and could start that week despite his estimate was slightly higher. Scott’s crew finished our 1.8k square foot home in less than an hour and a half. The process they use requires lightly sanding of all the floors, cleaning up the dust, and applying the new layer of coating. The attention to detail was just not there. If you look or touch along the baseboards you can see and feel the grit from the sanding. There are bits of dust. There are areas where it is rough. We also had a pool of coating from one room to another. It looks like spilled water. When I mentioned this to Scott he said it would wear away over time. The other major issue is the lack of durability in the coat he applied. I am not sure if they are using subpar coatings, but if you look at our floors the coat he applies will scratch. When we moved in so much got scratched. Scott’s crew did come and repair it. (Although it took 3 visits to get correct. One of his guys was amazing at it. Others sanded spots after applying new coating which left a rough gross patch.) 6 months later if even painters tape touches the floor, it will pull off the coat he applied. Scott’s response was don’t put painters tape on it. Our painters loved dealing with that! Overall the floors look like absolute garbage now since anything sliding on the floor even if it is new and clean will scratch them. Scott said nothing should slide on the floors. I waited over six months to post this review since Scott said it would take that long to cure. We consulted two other floor companies after Scott’s explanations. They all said it was from a poor application of the coat Scott’s team applied. We have lived in homes with hardwood floors prior with our two dogs and have never had results like this. I gave him two stars since he did come out and fix the issues after we moved it, but can’t give anymore since the end product is so awful.
K Jsurname: These guys were subcontracted by another contractor but they were quick and personable. They take pride in their work. I didn’t ask the little details they added but they were details I wouldn’t have thought to add to make the flooring in the room pop. I am happy with the hardwoods they put in. They are going to finish them in the next two days so I’ll add pics later.

Mark Imhoff: Scott and his team are excellent. They removed an old tile floor for us and replaced it with hardwood. In addition they added hardwood to our upstairs hallway and sanded, stained, and finished all of our existing hardwood, stair cases, and banisters from a natural finish to a dark walnut finish. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. Scott and team were professional and did a great job. We would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again in the future.

Parker Cains: Looking for contractors is tough in Charlotte. If you’re reading this review stop looking and bring Restore in. They did a fantastic job and it was the first time I was glad to pay a contractor for the work performed. Attention to detail and professionalism, as well as transparency on how much restoration he could do on the stone was paramount. We were so impressed we did 3 other surfaces before he left. Our marble floor was in bad shape and he was able to remove the sealer which was peeling and cracking And bring it to near new. Pricing was very reasonable and will absolutely keep using Restore for the stone in our house.
