La Belle Helene: what do users think?
Alisha Bien-Aime': First, this place is a sight to be seen. The atmosphere is impeccable. A friendly face greets you as soon as you finish spinning in the revolving door entrance. I didn't do table service it was a bar day for me. Vincent was a good bartender even in his haste. Let's start with drinks from the cocktail menu. You won't go wrong with any selection. I was pleasantly pleased with my drink order, I will say it's tequila based. So you will have to go and check it out for yourself. I ordered the raw oysters both north & south along with an entry of the hanger steak medium cooked.. I ate every bit. Really amazing oysters. I just wish they had a spicy sauce that comes with the platter, but im sure that's a simple request. The steak was cooked and seasoned to my liking. There was a little party going on in my mouth. Overall, it is a great chill spot and a definite repeat place to frequent and to show off Charlotte's class to the out-of-towners.
Pete Savarese: Corrine was our waitress and was fantastic! Great recommendations and service. We came with friends and sat for a while enjoying the food and atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Kendall Spell: Highly recommend Filet Chefs Way! SO SO GOOD! Amazing staff, atmosphere, and food!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Steak Frites, Crispy Duck Confit …More
Karla Paiz: Beautiful restaurant, beautiful food, awesome service.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Mimosa Eggs …More
Michelle Jeffries: Enjoyed brunch here today while carousing thru the city. I decided to come here at the last minute. The hostess was kind and accommodating. I was seated early, yay! The restaurant was busy, atmosphere is gorgeous. It's a beautiful place for a nice meal. Even the bathrooms are great.I started with a sangria. Very good! Would get again. Later in my meal I got a mimosa, it was equally amazing. Next visit I will explore their cocktail menu.I also began with Oeufs Gourmand. Deviled eggs with foie Gras and black truffles 3/10. It tasted ok, but when I ordered for the foie gras I didn't get what I am used to seeing in a foie gras. I was put off it wasn't roasted, braised or seared?! It was, im assuming the shavings (dried flavored seasoning) under the truffle shavings. I wouldn't get this again. While it tasted ok I should have gotten what I originally intended (Oeufs Mimosa).I ordered bananas foster French toast. 8/10. It was good. The maple syrup really set it off. But, the Carmel drizzle without syrup is really good.My next tiny issue was the wait for drinks and starters. I get they were busier but the waitress mentioned the bartender was having a hard time and implied he was frustrated?! Maybe he had too many drink orders. When I glanced over at the bar they appeared to be jovial...It was really good overall, I enjoyed my food enough to eat it all. It is pricier, but it is a beautiful restaurant with great drinks, inviting menu options. The prices and "hype" had me expecting more authentic dishes, but It doesn't appear to be authentic cuisine, it has authentic dishes but if I'm judging off my meal it's created with a "twist". If you seek authentic this is more a modern twist of French cuisine. My prime example being the (non) foie gras deviled eggs with dried froie gras flavored seasoning. It gave ramen seasoning consistency, sharpness and saltiness. Still a place Im going to return to enjoy exploring different options. I recommend it for the atmosphere alone.
Toni Ordway: DELICIOUS!!! Must have the French Onion soup. Atmosphere was great. We were a party of 3 and everyone loved their meal.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Kristina C: Of course had a girls day out brunch. The inside is beautiful but the table 'mats' threw us off (its understandable but still weird lol). We were all pleasantly surprised at the portion of food. For my friends, drinks were good and strong. Food was so delicious. Perfectly cooked as well. Salad came with the quiche (still not over the size of the quiche slice) and it was fresh with an amazing simple but tasty dressing. Was hoping to try some dessert but they only served at a certain time so was kind of a bummer. More reason to visit again though!
Gary Blount: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Diana Daerr: The food is delightful but at the end of the meal they tell you to tip the cooks and the owners will match it in addition to the server. This pretty much ruined our experience as it felt like highway robbery. My relative went to expressive concer to mgmt who basically said well that’s your opinion. We left a wonderful dinner with a horrible feeling about being told how to tip that we are not sure we would ever go back. Which is unfortunate as this was my relatives fav restaurant where she took all her out of town guests. Please review this policy as it’s overbearing and intrusive.
esther ortega: Service was great! Food was good. It took a long time to get our food so that was unfortunate. I got the ratatouille and it was nothing special. It didn’t have any flavor. The other food items we had were great.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes French Onion Soup …More
Rene Reed: This is a wonderful modern French restaurant right in Uptown. A little pricey for the amount of food but the food is very good. What you would expect from a good French place.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Steak Frites, Boeuf Bourguignon …More
Kelsey Gaylord: A long overdue review for one of our favorite restaurants in Charlotte! We’ll miss our weekend brunches at La Belle Helene! Great service and delicious food! A few of our favorites: lattes, croissants, burger, bananas foster French toast and the grilled cheese/tomato soup! The ambiance is great and always could walk in and sit at the bar.
Jennifer Marshall Sasser: Great place to eat and drink!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jennifer Bravo: I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant. The food truly speaks for itself, with well-flavored dishes that were perfectly cooked and visually appealing. I opted for the steak frites, and it was cooked to perfection. The interior design of the restaurant is stunning, combining a relaxed ambiance with a touch of elegance. I thoroughly enjoyed the vibes and atmosphere. Needless to say, I will definitely be returning for more delightful meals in the future.
Rossie H: Had reservation.. still had to wait over 30 mins, then waited 20 mins more for a drink. Ordered food, just to be told 20 mins later, they were out of it.Food: 3/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Roe: All the food was delicious, mussels had a great broth, little rolls were tasty only exception was my salad lyonnaise had a bit too much dressing on it. The creme brulee was just okay.Service was excellent. Edgar was very attentive. Prices are fair and it is an ok value for food but atmosphere is worth it.
Michael Erin Strong: Kind of stuffy and unwelcoming, which felt incredibly French.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Amélie's French Bakery & Café: what do users think?
Tam Pham: I’ve made many trips here and I’ve never experienced anything like today. Lily was very unprofessional. she made rude comments about me not knowing what pastries are. Come on! Seriously!?? The first and only thing to showcase your customer service is trying to be a smart***. Sorry, but not sorry!
M D: Amelie's became "Emily in Paris" with the move. The flagship location was intimate and the eclectic decor fit the overall art district vibe of NoDa. The new location is a cafeteria, very corporate/chain vibe that is just soulless. I can understand the flagship was cramped, especially with COVID concerns, but all of the space meant no privacy and it was very echo-y and just not a pleasant experience. The ordering process is now very much like a McD's or something, definitely not personable in any way. The room didn't have any "flow" past the ordering line. The art was cool, but so separated from each other that it felt chintzy/mass-produced instead of unique and local. I could understand satellite/franchise locations using this model, but it's definitely not a Charlotte attraction any more and we didn't spend any more time there than necessary. My pastry was on par with expectations, and I thought the staff was lovely, but not worth the 20 min drive.
Carla Ashton: The chicken salad in a sandwich was too salty. The bakery is a better choice than sandwiches.
Laila: the staff are all fantastic and they have some of the most delicious treats i've ever tasted!! they always have such a fun variety of macaron flavors i can't resist trying every time i go!
Jash Sangani: Atmosphere was very friendly and clean! A huge choice of food, pastries, and drink for all to choose! Highly recommend the strawberry danish! 🍓
Steph Liddell: This was an awful experience coming from years of being an Amelie's customer. This bigger space has taken the cozy feeling away and your staff needs more training. No organization from counter service to checkout. And this was our first visit at your new location.
Justin Festa: Food and beverage were perfectly fine. The staff was absolutely horrendous. They spent the entire time complaining about pay, complaining about the amount of hours left to complete their shift. It took over 20 minutes to make a cappuccino (there was no one in line ahead.)Multiple friends and colleagues complained of similar issues. Will not be returning until there is a complete overhaul of staffs attitude.
Angie Chavez: Went to Amelie’s for a late night drink and some desserts. I got the chai latte which was warm and delicious. I also got the pecan pies that were miniature and so good. This coffee shop Is such a cute place for pictures and hanging out with friends or family. They have a whole lot of decorations from pictures frames on the wall to an Eiffel Tower in the middle of the shop and even the restrooms are decorated. Recommend this place
Luis Escamilla: Muy mala experiencia especialmente ,por la persona que hace el cafe (,mujer de pelo rojo) ,muy mala actitud y poco profesional, que lastima era uno de mis mejores lugares!!
Kimberly Murray: Disappointed lately. The service here is consistently slow, which may be ok if the quality was consistent. Twice now we have had to send sandwiches back due to undercooked (once completely frozen still) sausage. Wouldn’t recommend anymore, which is unfortunate because the atmosphere is great and when they get the food right, it is great too.
pa sheikh ngom: Great vibe and the coffee was delicious!
D. Ramirez: Plenty of pastry options, creative decor, photo opportunities all over the place, all within a big location, especially for a bakery/cafe type of place. It also comes with a lot of hype. Unfortunately, it just didn't live up to the hype for us. The coffee was nothing to write home about and the pastries we selected were ok at best. We were on foot so the location seemed a bit tucked away and not easy to get to. Not our cup of tea.
Zeinab Salih: It's so nice and the dessert was awesome 😍😍😍😍
Austin Marcantel: Macarons are some of the best. Don't be afraid to try each one.
Summer Faith: Patience is a virtue and only a few of the workers seem overworked and unwelcoming, place is very busy and patience is required but worth it overall
Richard Nelson: Lots to choose from and none are wrong!!! Cool environment as well. Delish and will definitely be back!!
Layla Todd: Absolutely delicious pastries! The mini pies are all perfectly baked and vary between light and fresh and rich and flavorful. Out of everything I ordered, the danish was the most simple and something I wouldn’t have again.Quirky atmosphere and a great breakfast spot! The Turkey & Bacon sandwich is excellent as well.
Gabriel “YLDA” Davis: Great location and coffee ☕️
Sangeeta Sivakumar: Delicious pastries and great ambiance..Must try..
Anna: I love this cafe! The best sweets in town with beautiful and creative vibes! The people who work here are outstanding! You get the best of the best service! My kids and I love it and this place is the best date area! Highly highly recommend it!
Karla R.: It’s a cute place with out of the box decore, employees are friendly and service was fast. With that being said I got a few different things to try; the chocolate croissant was very dense and flavorless, double baked almond croissant was confusing, macaroons are nothing out of the ordinary, eclair is ok, salted caramel latte was good. The most disappointing thing was the croque monsieur, it tasted horrible, for $10 I expected more, it had a lot of dijon mustard witch hits you as soon as you take a bite, it overpowered the flavor of everything, bechamel was split and overall the whole sandwich was bad, I was not able to finish it. I consider it to be overpriced as well and don’t really get the hype.

Amélie’s French Bakery & Café | Carmel Commons: what do users think?
diana montoya: Todo es delicioso,es un lugar muy tranquilo y muy bonito
Nat Shor: A very cute café however my second time and they are all out of chocolate croissants. If that item so high in demand why not make more?
David Drager: Nice place, good spot to work remotely. Plenty of space.
Konstantin Zakharov: We have been to various Amelie cafes lots of times. This time, my favorite petit gateaux with strawberry was not fresh and tasty. It was hard to eat it. It looked like it was in a fridge for several days. The cream was very dense and with almost no taste.Original petit gateaux was not good as well. It looked like it was from a fridge. To sum up, Amelie network in general is a great place. This particular one significantly does not meet the franchise quality level.
Stephanie Foster: I enjoyed the desserts.
Dominique Dickson: My blueberry muffin was not even fully cooked.
Ankit Chainani: There is no question about it, you will absolutely be transported to france.Every single thing is so cool about this place , be in interiors, menu, props, walls every little thing is so full of creative aspects.Had their latte and chicken pesto sandwich. There is lot more stuff to try.Overall loved it.
J. O: Update: 6/30/23I come to this location often, but today I had the pleasure of meeting Cam! I have to say she was so sweet and delivered my chai tea to me and assisted me with all of my needs! I have to say her make up is absolutely gorgeous. It was one of the first things I notice. It's so nice to be greeted by such a lovely personality this early in the morning. Thank you Cam for making my day a little bit more special. Thanks to my barista lady Marsta (sorry for the misspelling) for making my son and I our favorite drink "Caramel dirty chai" she's always great!
Maine C: Love their Napoleon, Fresh Fruit tart, and Oreo. I always get the Napoleon along with other new items I’ve never tried. Love the ambience as well.
H. D.: Premium prices for frozen pastry? My Napoleon was frozen. They told me I needed to give it a few minutes to thaw. Why are there frozen pastries here? They supposedly bake fresh goods daily. This tough, soggy pastry and icy filling tell a different story. That said, the staff was very helpful and friendly, if a little slow.
Diane Lohof: Always great food, desserts and great service. We love this place for regular days and special events.
Arun Kasturi: This is the best coffee shop I came across in Charlotte!!! Everything tastes so good!!!!
Denita Harmon: Great place!
neville chauhan: They deserve 5* YES no doubt about it.Cappuccino 10/10Latte 10/10Almond Cake 10/10Avocado toast with eggs Sunny side 10/10Go for it, best French breakfast cafe in charlotte.
Rich Thornton: Friendly staff. They offered me a free sample which is great! The treat we bought was delicious 😋
Amber Donnelly: If you're looking for a delightful French bakery in town, Amelie's is definitely worth checking out.First of all, the bakery itself is charming and cozy. The atmosphere is fun, warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Even though I stopped in at a very busy time, they managed to keep things running smoothly, the cases fully stocked and I never felt rushed. Now let's talk about the food. Oh my, it was delicious! I tried the macarons, chocolate mousse cups, and a few of their pastries, and they were all fantastic. To drink, I ordered a strawberry cream soda, which was refreshing, sweet and strawberry creamy goodness!Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Amelie's French Bakery. The food was top-notch and the service was excellent. If you're looking for a bakery that's both delicious and welcoming, be sure to check out Amelie's.
Emily Headrick: My coworker and I walked to Amelie’s and were helped by such a lovely employee named Fia (Sofia?). They helped us with the BEST attitude and customer service. My experience was so positive because of them! Great environment and will definitely go back because of my enjoyable visit today.
David Burns: We are regular customers and love this place! The lattes are wonderful as well as the croissants. The staff is so friendly. They greet us always with beautiful smiles! we highly recommend this bakery/cafe and look forward to each time we go.
Kirsten Summa: I LOVE this place and I come 3 to 4x a week for work and just to relax. I am so so so so upset they stopped making the chocolate eclair. Several customers are actually. It's rare to find an eclair filled with chocolate mousse and I loved coming here foe them. I'd legit order 2 dozen boxes of them a week for home and my job. So disappointed. Meanwhile there are so many pastries that literally no one orders 🙄. Ugh please bring it back!
claudia per: I loved this place
