Christopher Somerville: During my recent stay at the Hilton Uptown in Charlotte, I encountered a few issues that affected my overall experience. Firstly, I must commend the valet service workers for their friendly and professional demeanor. They were attentive and provided excellent customer service. However, there was a problem with the technology used to request vehicles. Despite submitting my request 30 minutes before needing my car, the valet did not retrieve it until I was already present. As a result, I ended up being late for an important event. I want to clarify that this delay was not due to any negligence on the part of the valet staff, but rather an issue with the technology system they were using.Furthermore, another inconvenience arose during the checkout process. Unfortunately, the elevators were out of service, which meant my family and I had to navigate multiple trips up and down the 20th floor with our luggage. This unexpected inconvenience was quite frustrating, especially considering the physical strain it placed on myself and my family. I am a disabled veteran and those flights caused me great pain. As a loyal silver member, I had hoped for a smoother and more comfortable departure.Overall, I must express my disappointment with these aspects of my stay at the Hilton Uptown. As a silver member, I hold high expectations for the quality of service and amenities provided. I genuinely hope that my next stay at the hotel will be more pleasant and devoid of these inconveniences.
Rose Dominguez: Wonderful place to stay right in the heart of many attractions. The hotel is lovely with great food as well as top notch service. Easy walking distance to the Baseball Field (4 blocks) as well as The Panthers Football stadium (5 blocks ) NASCAR Hall of Fame, (2 blocks) out the back entrance as well as the convention center. Amelie's French Bakery was amazing to see and the food was delicious, just across the street.Billy Graham Library was a 15 min ride and was an excellent place to visit. Enjoyed my stay in Hilton Charlotte Uptown.

Brenda Dailey: Warning: If you travel for business/ conference and have your room paid for by the company you work for, then this post is for you. Westin took my credit card number and the cards of all of my colleagues for incidentals. Our stay had been fully paid, including parking, so I thought no big deal, right? I do this often as I have traveled quiet a bit. At the end of our stay, I walked up, checked my bill to assure nothing had been charged. I had no charges and we headed back home.. Five days later, a friend texted to see if we had received charges on our cards, not holds, but charges. To our surprise, everyone that gave their cards, was charged 255..25, I called and spoke with the manager and she said they had nothing showing that they had charged me. I said, no, it’s already processed. She said well call your credit card company. I called and had to file a dispute. There are several reviews with a similar vibe. For such a big company this feels super shady.Noteworthy details: Location has a great walking score. Their business dealings are super shady and I hesitate to stay with this chain in the future.

Esther Whitehead: The rooms are a bit dated but they are clean and comfortable . During my recent stay there was rain pouring into a window. Reported it but nothing occurred and I reported it again during check out. Was disappointed there was no offer to adjust the bill. Fortunately I moved my luggage in time. Damp but no real damage. The parking is cumbersome particularly given the self park pricing which seems excessive.Rooms: The rooms were clean and check in was very convenient. Surprisingly, we had to unload our own luggage and then take it upstairs.Walkability: Very close to the convention center which was very convenient.
David Moon: I’m impressed that they kept up to the Westin standards, on par with the Westin Choseon in Seoul. Maybe I received better service as a Titanium elite, but it was worth it. Looking forward to revisiting especially after the club lounge is open next year. In the meanwhile, the breakfast service is better than what I’ve had in hotels like The Peninsula in NYC.

Cameron Carver: Came for a wedding and wanted to be close and this place seemed nice. The rooms were as they should be at such a pricy hotel but don’t bother trying to check in early. Even if you schedule it for early check in they don’t even try to get you in. And when you have a billing question and call the hotel to get answers you get brushed off like your money doesn’t matter to them. Not impressed.

ROOM: Although is a older hotel, the room was very clean. LOCATION: Is as convenient as it gets. There is a light rail station on the 2nd floor, and everything else is very walkable. Tons of great restaurants around. We also tried JP Charlotte on the ground floor, the food is great.SERVICE: Wow. The front desk was the most helpful. Extremely professional, lots of staff so you will not have to wait long. Check-in was easy. Now, I must give a shout out to KENNETH COLYER, the assistant manager. He really goes out of his way to answer questions, and to make a gold member feel special and welcome. He was able to upgrade our room, and sort out some issues we had with billing. Edward Abraham: IMHO the best move Marriott did is buying Westin franchise. It definitely elevated the brand and Marriott hotel staff should take a note. The rooms are always spectacular and trendy. The food is the best and the service is great. The front desk staff are always helpful and very knowledgeable. Location wise is great and convenient. Tae McKenzie: I love the ritz but i think it is just a tad bit over rated...I dont like the fact that they have a chocolate bar, for sweets and I go there to relax and yet i ask the waitress what all do you have tonight, she says you can tskr a look i say how im in a wheelchair she says oh well I don't know. She doesnt know and doesn't really find a way to make the dessert bar or accessible to me (I'm in a wheelchair)so think God I had a friend with me that was able to go up the stairs to the dessert room and record the desserts on their phone and bring it back to me so I could choose, something the waitress should have done that or they should have something for people that are not able to access the bar...bc that is not right if I was by myself and she was not going to go out her way to find a way to figure out then I wouldhavejustbeenout of luck...so for the Ritz-Carlton to be so fancy and have all this money they need to find a way to accommodate those that are disabled..

Andrea Talbott: We were here for one night after our flight got into Charlotte and we would absolutely go back just to spend time here. The excellent service starts right when you pull up with the valet and bellhop. Check-in was a breeze and the staff was friendly and explained the amenities available. The pool, spa and fitness center were closed for renovations during our stay which was disappointing but understandable. The front desk was kind enough to find some bath salts for our kids since the spa wasn’t open.The room was beautiful, the bathroom was spacious and updated and I just can’t say enough good things about the service or accommodations.

Jackson Lapin: The hotel is exceedingly clean and well maintained. Great stay overall. Wanted to give a shout out to the evening desk staff as well - Kim & Sha’Nautica. They were both very competent and made sure we were well taken care of when we arrived, and continued to be friendly when we came back each night. Maiya Williams: I’ve been fortunate enough to stay here on 3 separate occasions and visit the rooftop, and Mico on multiple other occasions. Each & every stay is delightful. I’ve stayed in various rooms from your standard, to executive, to suite and each time I have been met with an amazing, comfortable, clean room. The grounds, housekeeping & front desk staff are amazing, as are the front desk staff& the staff at MICO and the rooftop bar. I dined solo for my birthday at Mico and was treated with such kindness as well as being treated to a compliment drink & dessert. On one occasion at the rooftop bar another guest was being very grabby & aggressive towards women & security removed him as soon as the were notified. My only negative experience has been with valet, who when given my ticket on a busy Saturday night, brought my car down to the garage entrance didn’t inform me, and then when I asked why they didn’t bring my car around to the circle, ignored me rolled their eyes and walked away. When I asked another member of the valet staff that young man’s name I was lied to and given a fake name. Fortunately the manger and Emily from the front desk handled the issue and removed valet from my bill. I have never had a bad stay at the grand bohemian and I refer it to everyone.

It was our first time here and will be the last time here, seeing as though the room rates are ridiculous high for no reason at all, it’s a very cheap hotel with a illusion of it being so grand in which it is not. Me and my wife had 2 drinks at the bar and a water, the water glass wasn’t properly clean well and had soap suds remaining in the water that got my wife sick after noticing it after she finished the glass half way. They charge these ridiculous price for this hotel with no Wi-Fi included, just soaking up every last dollar of honest paying customers with horrible room service that doesn’t answer call to the front desk after numerous calls, then to be told they are short in staff. No water in the room and I’m told that I have to come to the front desk to get water. I paid for 2 days and my wife doesn’t wanna be here any longer due to her condition of unsanitary glasses not properly cleaned that made her sick on her birthday. I’m furious at this point. Will never recommend nor suggest anyone to stay at this high priced money pit of a hotel. Never again.Rooms: Not luxury at all!!!!!

Cassie Plaster: We had a nice stay for our anniversary at this hotel. We were welcomed with champagne and strawberries in our room. The bartenders make fabulous drinks and the front desk helpful. We had multiple problems with our key card with executive suite which took several trips to the front desk which was time cons and irritating. We also had problems with valet and left with a scratch and smudge on our car across the whole back seat door. Valet computer system was down supposedly yet we were getting notifications that our car was ready and we still had to wait long waits. We had a great time but our stay was less than ideal.Walkability: Walkable, play bars and restaurants
P A: I am really being generous with two stars. It must be hard as an owner/lead manager/ ceo to constantly have to correct incompetent and unprofessional staff. My review is directed towards Erica in the spa. We made a last minute reservation over the phone. The cancellation rules were not explained to us via the phone. Unfortunately upon reaching downtown, roads were blocked off bc there was a major game. This made it extremely hard to get to the spa. I literally called not even 15 minutes later to ask if we could move the reservation or cancel it, and Erica was extremely rude and insensitive and said we could not. I have never dealt with such behavior even at some of the best spa’s in the world. Once I arrive about 15 minutes late, Erica made it a point to continue to harass me and talk to me even though I asked her not to as someone else had already started attending to me, however she visibly wanted her presence known. Once I finally acknowledged her with a response with the same energy she initiated she played the victim card and called security on me escorting me out lol!The two stars given is because the CEO rectified this situation as someone who has proper customer experience should. He gave us our money back and apologized on Erica’s behavior. I’m sure the cameras and witnesses helped my case. Seriously hope Erica gets the professional training she needs. She shouldn’t manage anything until so.

The whole staff, from the valet, front desk, bartenders, and room service, way exceeded my expectations! Such a professional and kind staff. The food at the restaurant and rooftop bar was exceptional. Top quality food and drinks. This is one of the nicest hotel experiences I have had. The nightly turn down service was an added treat that was much enjoyed! Especially the delicious chocolates. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Charlotte. It is in the perfect location to be able to walk to anything you need! Kudos to all the Grand Bohemian staff!!

The only nice staff members were the ladies at the front desk and the lady who actually helped us at valet. The other two guys who worked valet literally watched us girls get our luggage out and we had to go get our own luggage cart. We saw them help 3 guys with their luggage though. Our first room the AC was broken, so we had to move all of our stuff to another room. 10/10 would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Dilesha Holmes: My very first time staying at this hotel. Checked in 5/26/2023 even though it rained the whole entire weekend took advantage of the bar. We met a very nice bartender named Tysha. She made a freestyle drink that we really enjoyed. The front desk crew was on point also.The room was very becoming and the view was amazing. I also loved that my name was put on the TV that really made me feel like I was at home. Thank you for the wonderful experience from you guys keep up the good work! 🏾
Natalie De la cruz: When I visit Charlotte, AC Hotel is always my preferred hotel. Normally, I skip out on breakfast, but today felt like the perfect time to try it out. My family and I were greeted by Matt and provided us with an overview of the breakfast buffet. Buffet has a good variety of selections and freshly made waffles that can never go wrong! Matt went out of his way to ensure our breakfast experience was nothing short of great and provided us with exceptional customer service. Thanks again for the hospitality Matt!

Mario Avalos: I would have given these people five stars because the place is amazing, the location is excellent, and up until the last day, customer service was really good. What happened? We ate dinner at the restaurant, we paid the bill and left. Somehow they were not able to charge us after we left. So instead of waiting till next day to bring up the issue, they woke of us at midnight. Dumb.
Scott Pardew: The room is pricey but that was because we had to get a last-minute find at 2:00 a.m. when our flight got canceled. It was an extremely beautiful well made well decorated comfortable room. I wish I had a chance to enjoy it a little more instead of having a rush back to the airport. The woman who checked us in at 2:00 a.m. was extremely nice and I appreciate it her help

Located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte in the Fourth Ward, conveniently located in the BUSINESS DISTRICT, and near The Charlotte Convention Center and Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. This Luxury Boutique Hotel - where no two rooms are alike - is meticulously well-maintained, and the staff is a lovely bunch! I cannot say enough about how welcomed we felt - and it was the BEST night of sleep I have had in a long time! This property is stellar! I will be back! The Resort Informer 💫Rooms: Beautifully appointed rooms- Frette Linens - Mistral Bath Amenities - furnishings are so tasteful and the bespoke decor is sophisticated and comfortable!Food & drinks: Sophia’s Lounge is not to be missed! The elegance and decor of the lounge is captivating. The bartenders are friendly and create excellent libations to quench your thirst! A place to be seen! Or perhaps to disappear!
Maiya Williams: Stunning rooms, meh amenities. Staff is friendly. I was charged a room service fee for food I ordered on Uber eats & walked downstairs + retrieved myself….. no one could explain why and they did not remove it. Stayed in a suite & while I know the hotel doesn’t police the streets at the price I was paying to have a balcony there was a security guard & being unhoused persons peeing directly below me was unacceptable. I would stay here again just in a standard room.
Kacey Murphy: Great location and a new (2017) unique style hotel. I chose the hotel for the price and was extremely surprised. The limitations of the hotel: limited rooms that extend to two floors. Slow/not working elevators, no pool, limited staff. Rooms and decor to notch. Valet and room service were friendly and attentive. Location puts you right in the mix of everything. Not recommend for children.
Pat Bailey: Unfortunately, there was only one person running the entire hotel. Kendall was doing everything from checking out guest to selling jewelry. She was even delivering luggage to the rooms. She is a fantastic employee. I hope she is appreciated. Our room was across from a bar and the music was loud. This is the reason the hotel provides ear plugs on the nightstand. In addition, we needed to leave early for our flight, but the bell stand couldn’t guarantee it would to be open for us to get our car. It was a mess, but not because of Kendall. She’s a superstar! Not recommended.

Alejandro J. Audisio: We organized a Wine Tasting Evening for some clients, and used the Sophie's Library for the event. The F&B Director (Kelly) and her team were outstanding, super professional and accommodating, they came through with flying colors and offered the best experience for our guests. The food was of excellent quality, and I will note that the glassware they offered was some of the best Ive had (and Im a 20+ year veteran of the wine industry). Amazing ambiance, great service and overall a great experience I can recommend 100%. I am not rating the Rooms as I did not stay at the property.
