Dowd YMCA: what do users think?
Micki Hall: Don’t put your membership on your debit card! Cancelled my membership back in April and they’ve continued to charge me through July. There is no customer service team here so you are dependent on a single person for help. Go somewhere else!
Devin Harrison-Jones: Awesome facility. Most of the people I encountered are just not it, although that's probably just more of a Charlotte thing, so giving 4 stars.
areli hernandez lopez: It has everything I need and the staff is great.
Joel Balsiger (jB): This place has a great facility the only thing I don’t love is how many people there are here. I am an introvert so take that with a grain of salt
Vee: It has some pluses but also cons which led me cancel membership. The main one being crowds. They enroll way too many people. I was really good about maintaining my routine but stopped because a 30 minute workout would easily take 1 - 1.5 hours here. There is not enough equipment for the amount of people. They have 3 benches downstairs, 8 or so on the mid level, and maybe 4 on the rooftop? There are maybe 4 sets of 20 lbs weights in the whole gym which feels very exclusionary to beginners and women like me who don't lift heavier and so there's not a lot for us.The other major con is hours of operation. They have very narrow weekend hours which only makes the crowding issue worse. It's not the gym's fault but be advised I don't see guys clean up after themselves here very often. The cancellation policy is also very odd with very specific stipulations but I think all gyms cancellations are weird and knew it would be a "gotcha" by getting me to pay for 1 more month when it was time to cancel
Luke Martin: Very busy, needs more free weight areas
O “A Brad among Chads” O: Men's locker room smells like wet dog, equipment is ancient, can't just go to the pool gotta reserve it weeks in advance, at the price of this membership that's absolutely pathetic. Would avoid this place like the plauge
George Zaper: Cockroach in the sauna. Told the front desk ladies, they giggled and said it was a palmetto bug (which is a cockroach). Not that big of a deal but if I pay $80 a month I’d prefer there not to be bugs. Would appreciate a little courtesy and at least pretend they care.
John Carman: This gym is the crown jewel of not just ymca's nationwide, but of all gyms Nationwide. Having trained clients at gyms all over the US... this gym has become my home base. The mens and women's locker rooms each have 2 steam rooms and 2 dry saunas. There are 4 massive floors of top notch equipment
ADELLAS ADVENTURES: I am leaving 1 star because i have noticed for the past 3 years that membership prices have gone up drastrically and thats not ok, this used to be a place for families and for low income people and high income people alike. But now it has become a place that only those making plebty of money can go to....it now costs 123 dollars a month for a family if 2 adults and 1 child....why foes it cost that much what is so good about the ymca that it deserves to cost that much thats just insane and then you to have to oay 10 to 20 dollars a visit for your guests...i mean it has become a money put thwy no longer care about families, they are never clean and the childcare is never open for people who work regukar jobs and get off at regular hours...the YMCA is no longer what it used to be.
John Sebaton: Good equipment and facility but you can’t even get a proper workout. Theres way too many people at all times.
Paola Davila: Their customer service is poor. They used to be the greatest facility in Charlotte. Their staff knows their schedule have changed for less hours to members but they don’t care and will tell you in a rude way. Today Saturday I took 6 minutes after they closed (close time 6pm). I have been a member for many years (they used to close at 7pm before Covid). This lady by the name of Angela in a very rude way came in to the ladies room and told me that I needed to leave at 6:06pm I was almost done and I told her the issue I had that took me a few minutes longer, she didn’t care and in a very loud voice she told me “no reason why to stay after 6pm”I asked her name, and her ID# or last name, and told me “Angela” but she is not a police officer to have a number. At that point I decided to walk out of the facility, she kept talking as I was walking out in a loud voice and kept raising her voice at the end she told me to have a nice day in a sarcastic, rude, and unprofessional way. YMCA should hire people that have some high education and professional skills. As a member for many years I am very disappointed with their staff service. She was rude, talking over me. The staff was seating at the entrance. They are witness of all this rude and unprofessional behavior. I will follow up with corporate and update this post.
Jonathan Morton: This place is awful. I canceled my membership through the front desk worker but I was charge for 2 months after that and was only refunded for one of those months. Employees are rude, the equipment is old and cheap, there is no parking, the hours are ridiculous, and the gym culture there has a lot of rude people or people filming you without your consent.
Chris L: It’s….a gym. No towels, always very crowded, and the hours are ridiculously narrow, especially on the weekends. If they lengthened hours, it’d help reduce the crowds and clearly allow for more revenue since demand is there, but alas, if you’re looking for a gym along the light rail line that’s easy to bike/run too, this is about all you’ve got
Gregory: Staff is extremely helpful and to take note that it is a huge YMCA of Charlotte, they get the job done and do the best. The staff need more credit then they get. I am grateful for they're hard work!
Tommy L: $80 a month and they still can’t provide towels to use 1 of the various wet area amenities. If you aren’t going to offer towel service “due to covid” then amend the price “due to covid” - other YMCAs have towels and with the surplus of members to space in the gym I’m sure it can be done.
Paola Poggo: Pilates. Yoga. Todos los equipos💯
dapi //: Love this Gym. Amazing Equipment#letspaint87
Alula zereayakob: The facility is nice but the desk were rude and disrespectful, I have been paying with out any interruptions ,even at the time of Covid never miss payment for which obviously never used the facility , now with one notice to my email which I didn’t see and respond they told me my account is deactivated,
Ni Cee: The facility is nice, however, the desk workers could be trained to be a bit nicer. On 2 occasions did the workers give me a rude or uncomfortable experience. The male employees who have been working the check in desk this week during morning shift have given me the feeling that they did not want to be there. They barely want to help and give very little effort to answering questions. Real vibe killer.please hire employees who will be kind and helpful to people who are paying a membership to feel welcomed and have a good overall gym experience.
Tonya Suzette Smith: Always a joy to get in a great workout and unwind in the steam and sauna.

Life Time: what do users think?
schrafft ted: Thought it couldn’t get any worse but I was wrong. Most overcrowded dump I have ever seen. Broken machines everywhere, the Bball court is closed the entire summer for camp. Half of the time it’s closed on weekends as well so they can host birthday parties to generate extra revenue. Kids academy closes from 1-4 everyday, it used to be open 8-8 but they’re too cheap to do that anymore. Hot tubs constantly out of service. The list goes on and on. EQUINOX, HEALTH AND RAQUET, REEBOK CLUB OR SERIOUSLY ANYONE ELSE—PLEASE PLEASE OPEN UP A COMPETING TRUE HIGH END CLUB NEARBY. YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEM GETTING MEMBERS. This place is a joke. Even the employees that work there will tell you, this place is going downhill fast. They are publicly traded now and we all know what that means. Penning pinching at its finest to pad the pockets of the C suite (take out a massive short on the stock….it’s garbage. Don’t take my word for it, just look at its history, numbers speak for themselves).
Bill Ballantyne: Exercise equipment is sorely in need of repair. An entire row of XTOne machines doesn't work properly, except for 2 of them (and one of those is about to break). For the cost of membership here, one would expect the equipment to be better maintained than it is. At least the pools and spas are open, or they'd be getting 1 star.
Mariah Love: Very nice facility that also takes select insurance plans. I was able to sign my grandma up for a free membership through her Medicare united healthcare plan ! This facility is huge like a resort and I wish they had more locations in Charlotte
sid maheshwari: When signing up online, there is no place where it lets you read the membership terms, at least not before asking for payment information. That's a shady practice. I did end up joining the gym and it's nice. It never gets too crowded and the people are nice. Only negative I have found thus far is dirty showers. Raising my review from 1 star to 3. Keeping one star off for the online sign up process and one for dirty showers. I'll update if they start cleaning the showers better.
Garret Stallard: Gym is modern and clean. Free weight area is a little small for the size of the gym. Lot of high school kids being high school kids.Front desk staff is very rude. They don’t acknowledge your presence and act annoyed they have to scan you into the gym.In my opinion, there are much better gyms for less money!
Gene Lazo: First class facility
Cortney Fowler: Great place. Smoothies are usually a hit and facility is impressive
Nftravel: They treat their members awful.
Musa Gilaev: today I stopped by at life time I wanted to sit in the sauna, the dry sauna does not work at all, the temperature is very low and they don’t check the order at all, I hope they fix the sauna!
Dick Neidich: So far it’s excellent. I have a shoulder issue that the massage area in the spa helped me a lot. I try to go when it’s not crowded so it’s easy to get in and out in 45 min
Alexandra Russell: The club over all is nice but the kids care hours are still reflecting when they had to limit the club to a certain capacity because not all members were coming or able to.Edit: they adjusted to limited hours again a few months back, now it’s every morning from 8-1 or 2 then they close and only reopen Monday thru Thursday in the afternoon. It makes it really hard to be able to come when they’re closed in the middle of the day everyday and don’t reopen at all Friday thru Sunday. I guess working people only need to work out Monday thru Thursday. Also some of the kids care staff are questionable.
Anthony Clare: All Life Time Fitness centers have lost their minds with their membership prices.
Betsy Freeman: What an incredible place! They have everything there...from a beauty salon/spa to every type of workout and classes galore!
Kyle: Incredible facility, traveled for work and was presently surprised how eloquent this location was. Very clean and the amenities do not stack anywhere near my home gym. I look forward to Charlotte for one more reason now!
Matthew A.: Paid for $50/1 day pass. Used pool and cardio equipment. Place is waaay overpriced. Unless you are needing some fencing services in a country club like spa, or smoothie or checking metabolic rate. Weird layout of cardio where people are facing each other.
Heather Shams: Great experience and friendly staff!
Nicholas Harmon: Beautiful complex, similar to a fancy resort.
Yessenia Cordero: Been a founding member since they were pre building and now they are increasing prices its crazy expensive nice facility nice pools no toilet paper and could be cleaned more often. Not worth the new 200 pp rate. Similar to dowd ymca. The personal training is over priced and sub par. Personal training packages are outragous.
Pat Able: Very spacious layout which allows you not to be so close to another person large selection of activities daily
Nanna Mel: Definitely lots of amenities which becomes worth the price if you stretch yourself amongst what they offer. I’m only visiting but I have to say, my *much* cheaper gym at home (another state), has a much better weight lifting section. For example, the layout here make no sense whatsoever & everything is cramped. Really the only good thing is the number of squat racks they have, but then they barely have enough benches (and again, they’re super close to one another). Another thing that grinds my gears is that the sauna is so bright & super small, especially considering the # of people who go here at a time. To end on a positive note, everything they provide in the locker rooms are super convenient & helpful - such as towels, make up remover wipes, deodorant and that alike.
Steven Komito: Called to get some pricing and met by a lot of indifference and rigidness by the guy I spoke with. Told him I had just started a business (money is tight) and was asking if there were any deals and he was fairly curt and dismissive. Not saying he was a bad guy, but for the money that they're asking, you would think they'd be trained to be a bit more courteous. When you answer a phone, you're representing the company on all levels. I wasn't looking for a "free meal", but a little politeness would have been nice.I can spend money anywhere. After this experience, it simply won't be here.

Harris YMCA: what do users think?
garren lemonier: Great place, great staff and always clean. Member for 3 yrs 4 days a week .
Sandy Gwizdak: I am very disappointed in this facility. We had been members in the past and joined again as we like to swim in the indoor pool. We tried to use the indoor pool and were told the pools are only open until 6pm. Went back again to use the indoor pool at 4pm. It is only open for lap swim and you can no longer use it for pure enjoyment. We do not like the outdoor pool as we are very pale and hate putting sunscreen on. The whole point of joining the Y again was so we could use that indoor pool for our enjoyment. I am paying my monthly fee so my family may have full use of the facilities. Now you can only use the indoor pool in the way we used to between 12 and 2(I think)VERY DISAPPOINTED!!
Mazie Parkmond: Really nice facility on the south side ofCharlotte. Lots of room to exercise and play ball. I also saw a playground for children to be supervised while parents work out.
Mason Martinez: If you are child or extremely old and handicapped then this is your place. If you take exercise seriously then this is the absolute worst place.
Alfonso Solis: Plenty of workout equipmentExcellent staffSpacious and comfortable
Kelly Gaudet: This location is nice and very big. Sadly, when they remodeled this place they should have put more equipment in. You’ll be waiting forever just for one specific machine because there’s only 1 of everything. My biggest complaint is that this location is overrun with kids and teenagers. They monopolize the machines by all congregating around and making a social event of the gym. Don’t even get me started on seeing kids sit on machines and just take videos of themselves on their phones. Younger kids will also be there despite the “if you’re under this age you need a parent” rule. They use the machines to joke around on. No one police’s these situations. Currently trying to find a better gym that isn’t overrun and has more equipment. It’s hard to get a decent work out in when half the equipment is never available.
Rocco Emelio: Clean, friendly, great staff.
Andrew S: Very disappointed with this YMCA. We joined because of the family friendly atmosphere and to use the indoor swimming pool with our kids. The biggest issue is with the family locker rooms. They regularly have rude teenagers smoking and drinking in them (I’ve witnessed it multiple times) and have grown men using the family locker room, and not with their kids (there is an adults only locker room down the hall…). It hasn’t been fixed. It’s not a place I am comfortable taking my kids any longer. It’s a shame since we love the actual pool, but kids shouldn’t have to see that stuff every time they want to swim.
Юрий Бучацкий: Отличная парная,хороший бассейн, тренажёрный зал,и детям не скучно
Eric SUTTON: My family loves this place. The kids love the indoor playhouse. I love all the amenities and the update gym. My kids are involved through Y kids a drop in or morning out service, they do swim lessons, and they are participants in summer specialty camps. The cost of this YMCA is worth it especially if your employer covers a portion of the monthly premium. The thing I would change about this location is to keep it open longer.
Andrea Atkins: First time visiting the Harris Y yesterday as a National member. Betty greeted me warmly at the front kiosk and assisted me with signing in, finding class schedules, and offered me a tour of the facility and tips on best practices. She was just lovely. I really enjoyed the wellness room and the machines are top notch.
Laura DeLallo: This place is awful.
Jonathan Brunjes: Location and staff are fantastic. Location specific programs fit my needs.
John Abrahamson: No complaints here. Everything our family needs, fitness classes, bball gym, pool, water slide, indoor/outdoor track, etc. Newly remodeled weight room and machines too. The app needs work, in terms of tracking accuracy of checkins/history, but it's come a long way. I love being able to schedule my class 22 hours in advance.
Cat Gaertner: It is beyond annoying to have them constantly switching classrooms for the yoga classes in the mornings from downstairs to upstairs. The room was EMPTY so it wasn't as if it was repurposed. My schedule usually has me running behind and to walk up to a locked door with NO NOTE about where the class will be held is maddening. And I LOATHE stairs.
Gerecka Tate: The YMCA is a fantastic organization and institute that has awesome instructors and classes. I have been a member for quite some time and I’ve made some amazing connections with people while working out. I appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the working equipment. Although I took some time away from the ymca I am happy to be able to come back and have the ymca be apart of my fitness journey.
Hunt Blatz: I visit the Harris Y for a tour.I noticed many Kieser M3 spin bikes and Concept II rowers. Good equipment.I was particularly interested in the lap pool. The guide said lane reservations are online every 22 hours. She said you have to be ready to click right on the dot because lanes book fast. There are indoor and outdoor tracks, Olympic weights, exercise rooms, weight machines. Probably more but my guide just did this walk through rather quickly. The place felt busy without being crowded. It closes at 9pm, so relatively short hours.I don't think I'm ready for the $70/mo plunge, here.
Frank Sanady: I have been asking vainly for five years to clean the moldy grout in the Men’s shower.
Avery Kafka: The Harris Y is a very big Y with everything you need. The gym is spacious and very nice with ample equipment and free weights. Also, the basketball courts are very nice. The pool and steam rooms are also fantastic. The staff are also very cordial. This is definitely my favorite Y in the Charlotte area and I would highly recommend visiting.
Kazem Farameh: Is so clean and organized.Best e appmant. Nice employees
smita patel: Very clean

Brace Family YMCA: what do users think?
Audra Guecia: Good location, clean facility & grounds. I just hope they would add a big sign with the name & hours they are open.
Pedro Garces: Great facility with the best Gym equipment. Child care is excellent and the pools are a nice plus.
TJ “TJ” Horrego: Paid for a guest pass to play basketball and 45 minutes were asked to get off basketball courts for the summer camp. 🧐🤦🏻‍♂️
D K.: Wonderful indoor pool classes
Robert Wilcher: Great pool and gym
Mariah Love: The water park and the indoor pool was very nice! My son loved it. No problems at all
Patryk Braun: I just use the soccer fields here. Surprisingly decent to be honest.
Ankur Goyal: Good place to go for Y
Sergio Ayerdiz: Awesome place for the family
Rupert Kincaid: Very welcoming place people are quite friendly employees are quite knowledgeable and attentive 🙏😎👌
Jerry Schwartz: Everyone is so supportive and caring. So many good classes are available with awesome trainers.
Ross Goddard: Not enough squat racks but decent layout. More benches than Harris. Sauna is not as hot as Harris but the inside is bigger and less dingy.
Jeff Mc: Big gym overall, some areas feel very dated with old equipment. Plenty for kids to do and quote the variety of activities
Светлана Реабилитолог: Это лучшее место с хорошим отношениям
rima solh: Clean
jason j watt watkins: Was using this YMCA to help keep me in shape between semi-professional and professional basketball jobs. Things were pretty decent until the week of April 10 2023. I had scheduled workouts that I put myself on at 5 am a day this week. A younger guy at the front was working up there by himself. Being that I travel I have that type of nationwide status at any Y I go to. Normally, at any other YMCA and even in Nashville TN Memphis TN and even a Y in SC, if they can’t find me in the system they ask for my birthday to look me up. This younger guy asked me to write down my address and then ironically said “ if you have any questions let me know”. All of this set off an alarm in me and even upon telling one of the other employees an older lady she agreed it was weird. I then spoke to management telling him I had been asked for my phone number once, then my address once and my birthday twice. And mind you I had already been using this Y for the whole week before. It seems to me trying to get this different information and more so the address just to try and instigate something.Everyone who is employed by an employer should be trained to know exact protocol for all situations or even given a manual to follow so things like this don’t happen.I am aware after visiting a plethora of YMCA’s in and outside of the Carolina’s that the protocol is to ask for the birthday.Even if the system is down that would check nationwide members the proper protocol is to ask for the birthday.Jason Watkins
Serge C: Great gym with everything you will need for yourself and your kids. Great staff and always willing to answer your questions.
ANIRBAN SENGUPTA: Great place to exercise and group sport’s participation for kids
Brennan Hill: I'm not sure why I bother to reserve swim lanes here, since it's not enforced and I never have a lane available. Locker room carpet is gross
Juan Betancourt: Plenty of equipment and activities!
Athanasios Georgalis: Great place. Sometimes I wish they could stay open a little bit longer.

Stratford Richardson YMCA: what do users think?
Marie Putney: Closed when I got there.
Chloe Ratchford: Very pleasant fitness atmosphere
Teli: HORRIBLE. I paid $150 for a membership. First day here and honestly the last. I wanted to drop my 3 year old daughter to the daycare. When we walked in the caregiver didn’t even acknowledge us. No smile nothing. I changed my daughters diaper and then just when I was about to leave another girl who is in there walks up to my daughter and tells my daughter to put her shoes on. She shoved my daughters shoes in her hands and threatens her to put them on as if she was going to do something to her. My daughter starts crying. The girl proceeds to pick up toys off the ground and starts aggressively throwing them in a box. Toys are flying everywhere and could’ve hit someone in the eye. She then starts talking beneath her breath. Turns out she’s not even suppose to be in there her mom works as a life guard at this facility. Why would she be allowed to be in the daycare room around other kids who are 3xs smaller than her? And who is she to talk to my daughter like that? What makes it worse is the caregiver has a smirk on her face! And takes no action to have the teenage girl leave. I would NEVER EVER TRUST TO LEAVE MY CHILD IN THERE EVER!!! If they did that in front of me. There’s no telling what they would do if I wasn’t. Im worried for the safety of other kids as well. I didn’t even get to work out I left immediately! I pay too much to have to deal with this!! I will also be reporting this issue to corporate.
Zach Butler: Fun place good workout
Shantel McCurty: My kids love it
Ragan: Recently joined and it was a seamless easy process. The entire front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They seemed to know all the patrons coming and going and it was very welcoming indeed
Gabriella Godinez: Love how family friendly it is but it’s this one lady in the gym room that will tell you get off the equipment you can only do one set not 3 which is ridiculous being told to get off equipment & she’s so rude about it.
Chris Summitt: Very nice and clean facility's.
nicole davis: Enjoyed Halloween
Kelle Pressley: Very nice property! Always bright , clean, and welcoming. Love the staff!!!
Donya Hughes: Staff were welcoming. Facility was clean.
Tonya Hemby: Great work out family environment! Awesome staff!💜
Steve Lawrence: This is a place where you go to work out and have a good time
Phoenix Raines: Ashley is a phenomenal swimming instructor whose empathetic teaching style is truly appreciated. She was able to cater to each level of swimmer while patiently assessing their mechanics. I wish I had learned from her yearsssssssssss ago lol.
Juliana: I love this YMCA. I’ve been to different YMCAs in Charlotte but none compare to this one. I will say I was skeptical because of what I heard about the area but it is truly a hidden gem. The childcare staff is AMAZING, I had issues with some of the other YMCAS and to finally find good childcare has been so relieving so I can finally work out while my child is in great hands!! The staff is really nice and welcoming. I like how the gym isn’t crowded, yes it is a smaller gym but it’s perfect if you don’t like large crowds. I’m glad to have finally found the perfect Y for my family and I!!!!
loner .: I don’t like this place just utterly disgusting. The place it’s self is ghetto and I don’t want my little cousins going to teen night anymore after what happened just ratchet.!
Msbossy lovinglife: Tonight was crazy! I went to pick up my kids from what I thought was a safe place for my teens to hange out at and when I walked in it was a big fight! Children cussing and acting crazy! Adults was trying to stop the fight but there was more kids than adults!! It was a crazy seen! My children will not be going back there anytime soon if the ymca do not provide the center with more security to help the adults keep things under control.
S Q: Wonderful instructors and great community.
Larry Brown: Overall a good facility, the workout spaces are kinda tight in the gym when walking past someone to get to other equipment. Staff was nice and in my opinion the lockers aren't big enough as far as width. It's a good atmosphere to workout and exercise.
Rajay Hutsona: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Erïc Yates: Nice

McCrorey YMCA: what do users think?
Darryl Mills: Staff at the front rude and disrespectful. Not knowledgeable, lack of communication. Summer camp is great, the younger staff that actually deal with the kids are great. But i have had to track down a manager or supervisor over the people at the front. New staff more respectful staff would be great. So i will keep speaking with management over them until something is done.
Marleenee Washington: Not just a gym, it's a community and family.
Geraldine Byers: It was a fantastic workout, in chair aerobic
Cameron Johnson: Very nice staff and it’s not too crowded.
Ashley Sheetrit: Has All the basic gym equipment you could need, never too crowded and a friendly staff
Richard Mitchell: Estelle is amazing and always great us with a smile and kind words.
Amanda Reese: Great place and have a lot of programs for the family
Lamesha Praylow: I see the staff not responding to emails or phone calls is a trend at this Y. Karen Harper the aquatics director has ignored several emails and a phone call from me. To say she lacks professionalism is an understatement. At this point, I don't even want the partial refund I was requesting due to the many times they canceled swim lessons because of the weather or the times I showed up there just for them to cancel as I'm in the parking lot. Wasted gas and time.
Keona Johnson: Very friendly!!!!. I love it. Me and my son are members. He loves it as well.
Dana B: Visiting Metro Church (located at the McCrorey YMCA) has been life changing. I haven’t been to church in over 2 years. But once I found Metro church, I hardly miss an opportunity to worship. I was greeted upon walking in. The people there are so friendly and inviting. The pastor teaches the Word of God and explains it in a way that is easy to understand and apply to my life. The connect groups and Bible study are also great opportunities to meet other members and engage in the word of God. I attended an event that they had for the women in the community. It was really nice to see so many people come out and interact and have a great time. Metro church has given me the tools I need to keep growing in life. I am so thankful I found this church. They are real and it was nice to see them outside of the church setting. They really are genuine people who love God and extend the olive branch so that others may experience the love of God and grow into who God has called us to be.
Beverly P: I went in to pick up my card. The staff here at this location are the best. They really made me feel at home. Looking forward to going.
Shar Spin: Great facility, instructors and variety of classes
Jessie Rucker: I made New friends and they made me feel like family and no matter how I was feeling they made me feel I can do anything I put My mind to do I could do it because GOD was always on My side. The professionalism of the staff was unbelievably because they have a love for the people who come to their house to get whatever they needed and the spirit of excellent because the place made Me feel at home.Notice of any changes of operations in the running of classes or events were posted front desk and flyer's were provided monthly and sometimes weekly. Thanks for looking out for ALL My needs. Thanks for letting Me see the GOD 🙏❤️😇🎚️ in You that LOVES the GOD 🙏❤️😇🎚️ in Me. they made Me feel important
Zach Butler: Busy place could be cleaner .
Ronshea Thomas: Critical:ProfessionalismI believe male kids ought to use male bathrooms not female bathrooms where they rinse off in showers. I dont think husbands boyfriends, fathers, and more appreciate that!. Especially, the staff the one doing it.
Jefferson Casey: I really enjoy this Y. Not packed. They got everything you need to get a great workout. The staff are pretty awesome too
Nadirah Banks: My 5-year old son began his first week of summer camp last Monday. If you were going to be late on any day instructions said to call or send an email (which I did.) However, when my husband dropped my son off 20 minutes late, on his way to work, he was turned away by a staff member and was extremely inconvenienced that day by no longer having child-care. I called and emailed staff member Jemarion Young multiple times that day regarding this issue, but he chose not to respond. I was so taken back by the lack of professionalism on his and other staff members part that we never returned to the camp after that day. Furthermore, on the third day of camp I dropped my 5 year old off and the receiving staff member never even bothered to ask his name. He just sent him on a long walk by himself into the building, which 5 year olds can’t always be trusted to do without getting distracted. How would they know if my son was present that day as all kids are responsible for wandering into the building by themselves. So irresponsible!!! Also, on ice-cream truck day, my child was given his first Coca-Cola ever. What summer camp serves soda to 5 year olds?! I don’t recommend this camp and certainly not this particular location. I was so disgusted that I will be contacting corporate soon to express my dissatisfaction with our experience.
Natalie Mcpherson: The best cycling and Zumba classes
Senico Bennett: 2 to 3 times a week
Wendy Sims: I love the Mccorery YMCA. I take the Aqaua blast with Willie, Melody and Terrain. You want to lose weight, get toned and have a blast. This is the place to come. Best water aerobics class I have ever taken.
N3lson Luna: Canceled my membership for financial reasons, was told that they wouldn’t take money during a specific date, but was now told some other bull and they proceeded to take money out my account, never going here again.

Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics: what do users think?
Jitender Bhati: Great swimming center, one of the best.
Benjamin Tingey: Great staff, family friendly, wide range of equipment and classes. A gem in Huntersville!
Carol Dawley: Member for 17yrs. Miss all friends since COVID. We had such a great friendly group both men and women
jeremy flowers: Wonderful modern facility. Went for a special needs event. It was well run and soo many smiling faces fro the athletes
Jesus Castillo: Love this place...
Christine Christ: We love HFFA. Members for a year now and I love that the staff knows our kids names, the child care options are reliable and fun- my kids LOVE when they host Parents Night Out! My favorite classes are Strong and Pilates and they offer Strong at many times throughout the day and all week long which many other gyms don’t offer. The swim classes helped teach my kids to swim and we love going to the outdoor pool and splash pad during the summer.
Leah Rapley: if you’re looking for a sense of community, to be challenged, or to expand your workout tool kit this is the place for you. the staff is friendly, equipment isn’t rusty and crusty, and it’s literally fit for anyone whether you’re a first timer or advanced. I absolutely love it here
Michelle Mountbatten: I love the gym.. Wish they had a Smith squat rack And also the men would rerack their weights.
robert fryer: I joined HFFA on 12/31/2020 and enjoyed every minute of it. Originally my plan was to take up swimming for exercise and weight loss which has proven to be a wise choice. From the time you walk through the door and greeted by name to the time you leave the staff are always around, willing to answer any questions and are always smiling. I'm a member of a tennis club in the area and the staff never acknowledge the members when entering the complex. HFFA is clean, locker rooms are spacious and clean, and the fittnesss area has new equipment and the team there are engaging. I've started to take advantage of several weekly scheduled fittness classes to diversify my routine. The instructors are energetic, engaging and make the classes as enjoyable a fittness class can be. No reason to go anywhere else when you can have it all under one roof.
Caryn Kay: Nice weightroom to work out in, plenty of classes available too. I haven't used the pool or basketball courts, but they look nice.
April Wingate: Great place to workout and feel part of a community!
Hallie Amat: I’ve been going to HFFA since I was a little kid, and it really has something for everyone. My favorite part is definitely the group fitness classes, because it helps keep me motivated and I get to spend time with great people. However, the pools and gym are also really great! The environment is very encouraging and it does feel like a judgment-free zone.
ashley hendrickson: Swim meet
Tucker Bryant: big tower, fun jump off
james swain: I met someone there to pick them up. As in I gave them a ride too there to home. There was a little remodeling work. It was nice an d neatly arranged and easy to navigate around.
A Campbell: Went to the center to look around. Looks like they have a huge competition pool, a smaller pool that had little kids taking lessons, weight room, room with exercise equipment, aerobics room and an outside volleyball court. Had a pop-up Christmas Market too. Looks like a fun place!
Akosua Adampo: I wanted to get a membership there, it’s a nice facility to go to and they have some nice programs there for people of all ages. I would definitely recommend it!
E Riera: The closure hours are incorrect and vary daily...most amenities close 15min earlier than the stated facility closure. The pools close early without notice, the weight room will often close 1hr before the facility closure time on weekdays. There is an upcharge for non-Huntersville residents. The Meck Northern Regional Rec Center membership fee is about 30% less per month - just opened nearby.
Matthew Dermady: HFFA is amazing! If you want a great workout you should join here and go to Strong class!
HGoated X: HFFA has a basketball court, that not allowed to play basketball on. Make that make sense. Over priced and not work it I would recommend to new rec center on 115 over this trash. No wonder they lose money every year and cannot turn a profit.
Ben Makla: EDIT: Yes, I wasn’t crazy about their mask policy. They seem to have updated much of their weight room equipment. Can’t say enough good things about the people in child care and up at the front desk. STRONG is also a fantastic class if you are looking for something that will get the heart pumping.
