For reference I am very conservative with cutting off length to my hair and my natural color is about Ashe brown. I’ve been going to Adrian for balayages to a light blonde look with haircuts of course. Each time I go my bangs get shorter. From long curtain bangs to a shaggy barley below the eyebrow look. I used to get so upset with my bangs being cut before going to OA salons but since going here I LOVE them more each time I get them done. Kayleigh: I’ve been going to Paul Beaune NY Salon for my hair cuts since 2021. I loved going here because they never failed to always give quality service and the energy of this place was so comforting. I felt as though I could truly relax here. After my last appointment, I am no longer going to trust this hair salon and will start looking for other salons to go to.Cinthya showed a lack of professionalism. She was very passive aggressive and rude all throughout the appointment. From the comments she was making, it could have been due to the fact that I scheduled a 6:30pm appointment, she was visibly upset with how late it was even though this place closes at 8pm and my appointment was not too near to closing. I chose to ignore the comments. She also continued to scoff as a customer walked through the door, sometime after I had walked in, for an appointment with another hairstylist who was also there.I told Cinthya exactly how I wanted my hair, which was to even out my hair because I no longer wanted the layers I had. She constantly questioned me and asked if I was sure that was what I wanted. After I gave her my reassurance multiple times, she gave my layers a trim instead of cutting them off so I could only have the shortest layer (which had set just alittle bit above my shoulders just under my jaw. Nothing drastic.). I told her that the haircut she gave me was not what I had asked for and I reminded her that I wanted to get rid of my layers. Not to have them touched up. She continued to question me again and told me that she would have to cut my hair really short to get rid of the layers and tried to justify herself by saying that even if I got rid of my layers, with my split ends it would make it still look like I had layers. I reassured her again, I was not worried about how short my hair would turn out to be and that we could just cut off my split ends as well, which she did not do.Cinthya blow dried my hair for the majority appointment on a high setting even after I had asked her politely if she could turn down the temperature because I was getting burned. She didn’t even put heat protection in my hair. With the constant heat from the blow dryer on the metal brush she was using to style my hair with, she burned my ears at least 10 times or more and given how long she stayed styling those specific spots where my ears were after my hair was completely dried and styled I can’t help but feel she did that purposely. The first burn? It happens I guess. Seconded? Sure. But 10 times?Once she burned my ear for the last time, I was too uncomfortable to have her around my head and my hair any longer. We both walked over to the counter so I could pay. As she was setting up the payment, the other hairstylist walked over and complimented my hair. I said thank you to the other hairstylist and Cinthya agreed with her. As I glanced back at Cinthya she rolled her eyes while giving the meanest look one can give.Cinthya’s hostility turned an experience that is supposed to be safe, relaxing, and welcoming into the complete opposite.Services:Haircut,Hairstyling,Blowdry

I made these appointments on March 22nd for the April 10th wedding. I got a text from my stylist, Sarah, ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING AT 11:07 saying she had been sick for a week (she new FOR A WEEK) and canceled the appointments!!! There was no offer of another stylist! WHO DOES THAT??? I was physically ill!!! I requested another stylist but was told no one else worked on Sunday. I was on my way to a lunch reservation with out-of-town family when I got that text. The entire lunch I'm trying to find someone who can do my hair! There was no excuse for not offering a backup. This was my baby's wedding and there was NO EXCUSE for creating THAT much stress for myself and my daughter!!!

Jessica Scheck: I really debated on whether or not to write this review. I’m a few hours after my haircut and I’m still as disappointed as when I left. I kept convincing myself that I might like it more later but I can’t accept what I’ve received for what I paid.I showed my stylist a photo and described what I wanted, just to essentially get a trim. I wanted a completely different hairstyle and even heard her say, “yeah I was just going to follow your last cut.” Unfortunately I thought she meant just at first, but as time went by, no more hair was cut. I figured maybe it’ll get styled and then she’ll do more? No. I had to ask her to cut thicker bangs, and that barely happened too. My hair looks almost the same as when I walked in, when I took time off to get a different hairstyle. I’m usually very satisfied with this salon, but I’m not returning again.I feel bad leaving a negative review, and it’s awkward to sit in a chair and feel like your stylist barely did anything. I’m not meaning to be disrespectful, but I’m very disappointed with the cost compared to what I received. Took my daughter there to get her back to school hair do!?! She got Goddess locks and she had my daughter's head looking like whoa! The one stylist, that is😍. She corrected an unfortunate imbalance in my previous cut and gave me a style that makes my hair look more full- very important to me with hair loss related to allergies. And the best part is that it looks good even without styling! Everyone at gisoo was super nice and professional- we will be lifetime customers for sure!

J L: This is a great and very nice place. I got the best hair cut as a man there. I recommend it but if you are allergic to fragrance like me then skip the shampoo. They have fragrance and parfum in the shampoo. Although natural of you are me you know what you can and can't use. So bring your own shampoo and have the best cit of your life dudes.

Christina: Good experience with Emily! She was kind and I liked my haircut result when she blow dried it but seeing it natural, the layers weren’t doing anything for me. That’s on me because I have thick wavy / curly hair and didn’t ask if she has done that hair type and its a pretty safe assumption their speciality is straight hair (again, I should have known - just look at their IG). They had an opening on Good Friday which worked with my schedule, so I took what I could get. I was confused that they don’t accept tips via credit card, which I only found out at the end (only accept Venmo, etc or cash). There is free parking and they give you instructions in their confirmation email, but spots are extremely limited - maybe 6 in total? The negative for me was the vibe of the place - maybe it’s my mistake thinking an uptown hair salon would be welcoming, because I was definitely wrong. Overall, I don’t particularly recommend this place.
