Sidney Stewart: I just visited their new location yesterday. The facility is so well organized and easy to find whatever plant stock you're looking for. The quality is still fantastic. The customer service continues to be top notch.

Robin Champaign: Very great assortment for gardening needs. Light on pots but one store cannot have it all. Purchased many shrubs and trees. Cashier inexperienced so had to redo checkout as she overcharged in error. But no worries. Returned today. A Saturday to get one more tree for spring planting. They are closed. Closed on a Saturday in spring. Wow. Other garden centers and nurseries are open on Saturday, prime planting time for homeowners. Oh well.
Gary Jordan: Great nursery and selection. Very organized and clean. No warranty on landscape plants, lost a $120 tree within days of planting. Plant started showing signs of stress and was rootbound upon planting. I have a degree in horticulture and know the main reason for the failure of the tree to be successfully transplanted was the disruption to the rootball in order to stop the roots from girdling. I'll definitely use Rountree for annuals but will think twice before purchasing higher priced landscape tree's and shrubs with no grace period if the plant dies. The hours too are not retail consumer friendly. Maybe they are more commercially geared but closing at 4:30 pm and no sat/sun hours is unimaginable for a retail nursery. I could understand in the offseason but not during the spring. At least get extended hours for a few weeks in the spring.
Keri Bartholomew: For the past five years I have shopped exclusively at Rountree Nursery. As much as I love everything about this gem I am going to have to say goodbye and take my business elsewhere. No weekend hours??? Seems crazy to me and so disappointing. I hope they reconsider.

I will take my business where management consistently treats customers with graciousness and respect. I wish Rountree’s owner could be made aware of the exchange that took place today.

Blake Brown: I’ve been coming to this green house for about 6 years and it amazes me every single time. They variety of plants is ever changing and growing. The workers are always so nice and friendly and so so helpful. I’ve recommended all of my friends and family to this greenhouse. I have around 100 house plants and I’d say 90% have come from here. They’re always healthy and in great condition. I’ll continue to make special trips here for years to come.

Adriana Marsh: Oakdale offers a great selection of indoor plants, bonsai and outdoor plants. The greenhouses are clean and organized.It has a wider variety of sizes for house plants, compared to other local garden centers. The selection for pots and garden supplies is limited. There is a big parking lot but the greenhouses are not ideal for people in wheelchairs.

H Monty: Prices are a little high compared to like a Pike nursery but they have some rare plants, lots and lots of variety. Only downside is the part of town it's in. Homeless man actively walking around in the greenhouse. I don't blame him since it's warm and it was raining.

I have around 200 indoor plants and get to a point where I don’t see very many new ones in my area. This place always has plants I don’t own! Highly recommend.

Jennifer Szendi: I wasn’t at the nursery, I bought a Rose of Sharon tree online from Home Depot and when it arrived I was knocked sideways! I found it was shipped from this great company, in Charlotte, and I had to find them. This tree came in excellent boxed packaging and already had four or five large blooms! This has never happened before over the years when I’ve purchased plants by mail order! Even better, my son lives in Charlotte so I can visit the nursery some time. Yippee!! 🌷

Steve Braley: I bought 4 Sky Pencils through Home Depot with Baucom’s filling the order and shipping them. Plants arrived very healthy. However, the 7-gallon containers should have been 3 or 5 gallon as the trees were a pathetic 30” tall. Numerous reviews in 2020 indicated trees were delivered at about 48”. Now EVERY review in 2021 is complaining the 7-gallon pencils are 28-30 inches high. For almost $100 per plant. You should be ashamed of yourselves for passing off these plants as 7-gallon shrubs!

Shreya Jay: This place is absolutely amazing for all your house plant needs, and they even offer a fantastic selection of bird feed. We're regular customers and our feathered friends just can't seem to get enough of it. Every time we visit, we're thrilled by the discovery of rare house plants, and we always end up adding one or two new ones to our collection. Their assortment of planter pots in ceramic and terracotta is truly excellent. We recently purchased two Chinese money plants, also known as Pilea peperomoides, along with adorable ceramic pots in beautiful shades of blue. These plants are flourishing in our home and bringing us so much joy. The presence of a koi pond out front only enhances the overall calming atmosphere. You definitely don't want to miss out on visiting this place - it's an experience that's truly worth it! 🍃👍

MChey: Pretty cool nursery definitely worth checking out but a little pricey on some things. All the staff we talked to were friendly and seemed very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions. We love that they allow dogs, our pup enjoyed shopping with us. They had a pretty impressive air plant selection with some of the largest I’ve seen for sale. We got free ladybugs with our purchase but it seemed like most were dead upon release-not sure if that’s normal since it’s our first year using them for pest control but figured it’s worth noting so others know what to expect.

I politely ended our conversation by saying OK, with a smile on my face and turned around to finish my day and she responds with “HELLO! im a person” in the nastiest, most snarky tone ever when I literally didn’t do anything. I asked her why she felt the need to catch an attitude with me because I did respond to her. I didn’t just walk off. And when I asked her why, she said that she said it was because she didn’t hear my response. And either way that does not give you the right to catch an attitude with someone at your job while you are on the clock.I have spend HUNDREDS in this store.I have CRIPPLING social anxiety and would NEVER be rude.Simple disgusting.

Not much native selection. It's an overdoze of evergreen hedges, conifers, cypresses and hedges. I was hoping to find more native yet interesting varieties.

Christina Solano: Cute little shop with a variety of plants. I got a couple last year and returned today. They are consistent! I got a Venus fly trap and I also have a rattlesnake plant from here. The employees are knowledgeable about plants and helpful with plant care advice. There are more than plants here. Lots of items. The store is located in Camp North End. It’s a cool spot!

Moe Rose: I’m writing this review because I had a very disturbing experience at this store a while back. I was going to let it go, but after some thought I’ve decided that stores need to be held accountable. During the Christmas market at Camp North End I visited this store with my boyfriend. The store was very packed and I was excited to see what potential gifts I could buy. But after a couple minutes the employees subtly let it be known that this store isn’t for black women like me. In the fifteen minutes I was in the store I had FIVE separate times where employees came up to me to ask questions but in reality I knew they were watching me and made the assumption that I was going to steal based off of my skin color. At certain times that I was looking at plants and candles I caught several employees just staring at me and watching me like a hawk. I felt so unwelcome and like a criminal when I was just trying to do some christmas shopping. My boyfriend felt this too and decided to stand outside the store because he was afraid he was going to be accused of something. Out of the several white customers that were in the store, I was the only customer that was “helped” so many times & I know the only reason it happened was because I’m black and they felt a need to watch me. I’m so sick and tired of just trying to shop or live my life and constantly having to look over my shoulder because the space I stepped into is full of people who make horrible assumptions about you based on your skin color. My experience was overall a terrible one and I’ve told several of my African American friends who wanted to visit to not come because they will be watched like a criminal. I hope you can take this information and train your employees to not make assumptions or have biases against their POC customers. Because I felt horrible leaving that store and ended up cutting my visit short to Camp North End because of how terrible they made me feel

Taylor M.: Great selection and really nice staff but 2/5 of the plants I’ve gotten have had spider mites. I purchased an alocasia stingray at the anniversary sale that came home with spider mites, and today I purchased an $155 anthurium clarinervium that has spider mites. I understand pests in a plant store are impossible to avoid, but it’s really frustrating to take home an expensive plant I was excited about and see it has pests. After my first experience I should’ve paid closer attention in the store to check for pests and I’ve already wiped leaves with neem oil but I’m disappointed this has happened twice. Again, good selection, really nice staff, just wish I didn’t have pests come home on plants twice.

Dean Liu: Cute little plant to visit, but I’m not sure I would come back. Plant prices are higher here but they do have rare plants occasionally that you can’t find at nurseries.
