Romare Bearden Park: what do users think?
Jafeth Herrera: Es un lugar agradable, tranquilo, y tiene buena vista para tomarse fotos
Stephanie Alexander: It appeared clean.Dog-friendliness: Saw lots of dogs playing.
Ádina Santana: I was in there on July 13 at 9am. It is a beautiful places but I figured out that one of the homeless in there was chasing me. For this reason I ran away from the park and had no reason to give a better review.
Audrey Byram: The water fountain is the best part. There's not much else. Too many homeless people
Максим Черданцев: Fine place to see Charlotte. Look for free parkings.
Nuran Malik: Great spot
Jose Leonardo Espindola Salazar: Es un lugar de esparcimiento a todos los niveles, soltero de relajación, en familia para hacer un Pícnic con la familia, todo excelente
Ivette Diaz-Rubio: Beautiful open green space with a water feature and statues.
Anna Svietlova: Amazing place for evening walkPlayground: Some music instruments that kids can playRestrooms: FreePicnic area: Grass
HAROLD RANSOM: Spent the day with my grandson at Romare Bearden park. He really enjoyed the waterfall and posing on the rocks.
Julian V.: Free 4th of July brawls!
m trotter: Merchant & Farmers rooftop view in Charlotte. Expansive rooftop, good music and great vibe
ASHLEY NIGHTENGALE: It was very nice. I came here on the 4th for fireworks until a fight broke out in the park, which sent people going in all directions.
Bella SHAKHNAZAROVA: If you love the outdoors, the park also has plenty of green spaces and jogging paths that will provide you with the opportunity to run and walk. In addition, the park has picnic areas and recreation areas where you can enjoy beautiful views of nature and spend time with family and friends.
SELENA ROYE: Unfortunately, I was there for the 4th of July Kaios. It was nice until the shooting and fighting began. Everyone was enjoying themselves until then. A beautiful array of cultures. I loved it, but the madness ruined it.
Jimmy Dean: Restrooms: There are public restrooms here now! And they're fairly clean!
Alisa Wright: Not safe on the 4th of July, great place any other time.
Salome Makasi: Awesome
Mya Rice: Fireworks were awesome as usual. We go every year. But this year people were scared, random groups of people running because someone was throwing fireworks into the crowd. This happened several times this year.
Dustin Allen: Nice downtown style park. Nice water feature where you can get wet.
Yasmany CM: I love this park, despite the homeless scene who doesn’t bother me at all, the area is a safe and entertained place to bring your kids, fiancé or even your pets and have a quiet quality time in the heart of the city, been in charlotte for a year and half and is one of my weekly places to go

Nicole Singh: I love coming here feeling like I'm out in a forest while still being so close to uptown Charlotte. The trails could use a little more maintenance and the offleash dogs that are occasionally here can be an issue. But most are trained very wellVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Price for adult entry Free …More
Rachel Klein: Wonderful nature preserve. Easy trails, although can be a little muddy after rain. All the damns from the beaver are amazing to see in person! Cool bird sightings, diverse growth of trees and it's so quiet, right in the middle of Charlotte. Collin Traynor: They have some okay trails with a lot of wildlife. Just a disclaimer, there is a lot of poison ivy here so be very careful of that, and I would personally recommend the beech trail. It’s a nice casual walk to do with your family or just a stroll on the weekend. There are many other trails I didn’t check, but It would be nice to hike those some other time too.

Sarah Nunez-Walston: Beautiful preserve with several trail options and approximate walking times posted at the entrance. We took the Wetlands trail and saw tons of geese, turtles, squirrels and birds. This is a peaceful hideaway in the middle of Charlotte. There are some designated picnic tables off the main entrance trail. We also saw some people walking out with fishing poles so there must be some place to fish. This is a great place for a short walk, hike or picnic.Restrooms: There is one giant porta potty at the main entrance parking area.Picnic area: A few picnic tables are available off the main entrance paved trail. There is also a large grass area where you could picnic with your own blanket and chairs.

James Boyce Park: what do users think?
Rajith Kakunnath: Amazing kids park 👌
Jeffery Williamson: I used to come to this park when I was a teenager and went to McClintock Junior High in East Mecklenburg High School. My parents have a house in the neighborhood and long time ago and decided to bring my 7yr old daughter and my nephew to my old stomping grounds and they loved it! It's got lots of trails picnic tables BBQ soccer field just a great neighborhood ParkPlayground: They got a great little playground for kids of all agesRestrooms: They have nice neat clean restrooms for all the park attendeesDog-friendliness: I always see people walking their dogs on the trail and seemed to be no issuesPicnic area: There's plenty of picnic tables and barbecues to cook on and to relax
Dyanna DaSilva: Great park for dogs & little ones! They have swings and slides for children of all ages. They have trails for runners, bikers or just for a small walk! Great places for your dog to run around on a leash! Awesome park close to the city to get fresh air.

Sonya Strader: We had a nice gathering of friends. The playground was very nice
Ann Miller: First time there. Play area for kids is nice, and there are hiking trails.
Eddie Barlow: The park needs attention and updating. The fields are not nice and the playground is only okay. The saving feature are the walking trails that connect to the Greenway.
Yana Zhukouskaya: Классный парк. Детская площадка. Качели. Горка. Большое поле для игры в мяч. И длинные тропы для прогулок. Ящик для обмена книгами. PETER KRONES: This is a lovely park for the wonderful, hilly hiking trails, streams and more. It's one of our go to places for me and my puppy.
Mania Rosen: Great equipment for toddlers and preadolescent children. Nice open fields and landscape for sports, dogs, picnics, games, etc. Walk/bike paths, wooded areas, ample parking.
Anand Padmanabhan: Well maintained, family friendly and easy access to the park.
Zhixuan Ren: Great place to practice bicycle, soccer and baseball for kids. The fall color in the park is so beautiful.
Jen Pike: This park has a great playground the kids spent hours enjoying, with several things to climb, multiple slide heights, and swings. A large patch of turf near the playground seemed odd to me, but the kids loved doing gymnastics on it. There is a secondary nature playground across the way from the parking lot, in the shade. Fishing is allowed, and there is a path around the pond and through the park for walking, running, and biking. There are turtles, fish, and ducks in the pond and feeders available for them.Restrooms: Restrooms are indoors, near playground and pond, in the same building as concession stand. Clean and well lit.
Julian Stegall: Very good

mrs west: Oasis of peace in the city
Sulgenus Heliodorus: Beware for the THREE LEAVES! This trail wouldn't be ideal for children and dogs, for the amount of poison Ivy on it, although green and pretty the trail has a lot of the dangerous ivy.
Marguerite: Trails have a variety of difficulty from a concrete wheelchair-friendly quarter-mile loop that envelopes the senses in Nature, to boardwalked vernal pools and 45-60 minute loops with some terrain challenges depending on the season. There's never a wrong time to visit and enjoy the changing flora as the year shares the cycles of growth, decay, and regrowth each year. (Though I recommend you AVOID AFTERNOON DISMISSAL TIME at Eastway Middleschool (4:15-4:30ish) as the entrances are directly opposite and Norland Rd is narrow.)If you stay very still on the sidewalk behind the (very clean) bathroom building, you may see the rabbits come out for a quick nibble. An attached Pavillion has a few closely-spaced picnic tables and even power outlets for charging phones etc. Water fountain has a pet spigot and the water has no foul taste. The Nature Preserve boarders Evergreen Cemetery, a popular spot with neighborhood walkers with and without dogs. A one-mile paved loop road has some inclines. The Trail System connects with the Preserve and Sheffield Park/Wintergreen Elementary School (neighborhood entrance to Sheffield Park on Tarrington Ave has no parking - but turtles you can watch from a wooden bridge!)The entire space is an escape from city life where one can be completely alone or enjoy a group-walk while quenching your bodies need for NATURE!

Darren Pierce: Nice trails easy terrain to walk.
Carson Melvin: This is a local gem of green space in East Charlotte. It's not a huge area, but the trails are well maintained, and provide a thoughtful trail system to wander through. The trails will take you from the parking area directly to a playground and basketball court, or another trail goes to the cemetary. You could also just loop your way through the woods. In my experience, it's moderately traveled. You'll pass a few people or groups of people on a trail run or walking dogs, but you'll have plenty of time without anyone else around. Nice spot.
Hatem: The trail was closed, but there is a small trail which we enjoyed, like 10 min walking.
Vivek Sawhney: Gem of a nature preserve bang in the middle of the hustle bustle of Charlotte. Short hikes but very enjoyable.
Chris Steude: One of my favorite green spaces in charlotte. There are enough trail options to get in a nice walk, but easy enough for young kids to handle. Quiet and never very crowded. The facilities at the main entry are pretty nice but I also recommend entering from the Sheffield Park side which includes some wetlands with good snapping turtle watching.
Hunt Blatz: Nice short walk. If I lived nearby, it could be a jogging trail. Note that there is lots of poison ivy all along the paths.
Will Funderburg: Easy to get to, easy parking, time in the woods!
Nicolla Acha: This place was amazingly awesome and peaceful!!!!
WhosTheFairest Beauty Styling: Gorgeous, great trails, dog friendly, not too crowded
Ayya Sudhamma (Charlotte Buddhist Vihara): Enjoy the feeling of a deep state forest while in the middle of east Charlotte.
Jennifer Fontana: Beautiful little forest trails right in Charlotte! You would never know that you're still in the city. I don't usually see a lot of ppl here either. The entrance is across from a school so maybe avoid the 3pm traffic haha
Shannon Forbis: Great place to spend time outside walking through the trails.Restrooms: Located in the parking lot at the entrance.
Hayley D: It’s so sad to see 77 acres engulfed in invasive plants. There’s no hope for any natives. The trees will die in time as they are engulfed in English ivy. It’s really sad but a good lesson to humans on how gardening with invasives destroys native ecosystems.Edited to reflect their acknowledgment of the issue and that they are working towards a more natural and healthy ecosystem. So happy to hear that!
Eric Schmidt: Beautiful park, paved in some parts and well traveled foot paths in other parts
