Nicole K: Love this place! Found some really great books here. And they have a little vegan grocery store up front too
Amanda Hooks: This is my favorite bookstore!
Mechille Chavis: Books! The lady that runs the place is very friendly and knowledgeable. There's also a section in the front with organic and environmentally friendly stuff for sale.
Susan Ingle: Amazing place. Hundreds? Thousands of used books. A shipping experience. And gluten free and vegan products. Worth the visit.
Nathan Nicolau: Best used bookstore in all of Charlotte. It's hard for me to leave without purchasing something. I joke that if I can't find a specific book, I can find it here. The cats are a plus, of course. Be sure to say "hi" to Deena!
Diana Abdulhussein: The Best clinic very nice
Peter: Such a wonderful place to pick up cheap paperbacks.
James Hopkins: Book buyers is a Charlotte institution. It's probably the best used book store in town. Of note are the store cats that are very entertaining while combing the stacks.
Evan Schultheis: Great little bookstore that's actually locally owned with fair prices.
Sheila K: I love this store. Found so many books to add to my collection!
Al: Amazing collection with cute kitties everywhere ! I come here often and I love it so much !
Will Whiting: Books and cats. Would recommend 👌
John Dinyari: Eclectic book store with playful cats
Liz Millsaps: We are so happy to have Book Buyers at Eastway Square! Problems is, when it comes to us they do more selling than buying. They have a huge selection!
Ngan Nguyen: lovely bookstore, lovely cats, and lovely store owners. the atmosphere is very nice and cozy, and i love the variety of selections of books. i got used(but pretty new) books for good deals. and im definitely coming back for more :)
Nancy Hernandez: Wonderful shop. You have to dig a little to find books you might need, but it's a great opportunity to find something new. The staff is so nice and even provided some recommendations for local coffee since I am out of town. Their resident cats are too cute, I love that they support local shelters. I found some great vintage books, will definitely visit again whenever I'm back in town!
luis toro: Beautiful place
ROY CRAMER JR: I don’t do build
The Gift of Chiropractic: I love this bookstore for many reasons. Although it's rare that it carries the book I'm looking for, it will provide me with books I DIDN'T realize I was looking for. It carries a few kittens and cats, which add to the experience because who doesn't love being greeted by friendly animals? It also carries vegan and mindfully created soaps, snacks, and other reusable products. I love coming here!
Desiree Everette: The owner of the store is so pleasant! She's very helpful and so kind! The book selection is astounding! It's so organized and the cats there are just a delight to be around. This is my new go to book spot!
Megan Suder: We enjoyed stopping in this used bookstore. I wish they had more books for younger children, but their adult fiction and nonfiction selection were good! We will be back!

Connie Marshall Thompson: So many books and many hard to find volumes! I found science fiction and classic fiction I wanted. The selection was impressive for every genre.

Kala Nock: This was our first time going to this book store. Honestly out of all the used book stores in Charlotte, this is the only one I have found books at.I brought my 3 kids with me, my two year old and 8 year old found books for themselves and I found 4 books for myself. The people that work there were so nice. It's hard to go to book stores and not worry that they are going to get annoyed with your kids because they can be noisy, but they were so sweet to my kids. We will definitely be back asap, I think we found our new go to book store!
Chinmay Nadkarni: Best place in south Charlotte for used books. They have a great selection and good prices as well
Han Stw: I visited the Book Rack while I was in Charlotte- overall impressed with the selections and the quality of the books. The store is quite large and has all sort of genres available. Staff members were super friendly too. They have some sort of membership system, where you get a certain discount after certain amount of purchase and occasionally runs monthly specials. Overall highly recommended!
Marcia Lahens: A great place to buy used books. Excellent selection, well organized, making it easy to find what you're looking for. And the staff is great...very helpful and knowledgeable. Shopping at The Book Rack is a win-win...you're recycling and getting a great deal...win-win, indeed!
Debi Jozwiak: Great selection of books. All books are stored on a computer so the store knows what titles it has in stock.

2nd & Charles: what do users think?
Felix Adam: This is a great store. Has a great look and a great vibe. Regrettably, the prices are priced over or at MSRP. Anything you can find here you can find online for 30% less. I looked up several items. The store does have a very large variety of stuff to look at and for someone this is worth it.
Darren Mason: Selling is a lot easier online, not much of an advantage to coming in unless you for sure want store credit to buy something else.
George Chillz: Found 3 books that I was highly interested in. 3 books ended up costing me the price of one brand new hardback. Great little store with fantastic deals and prices. You can spend a lot of time in this place browsing.
Jessica Salazar: cool place but kpop albums don't have photocards. disappointed, might return them if possible
Joy W: Way too overpriced. Books are bent and dirty and still being sold at msrp.
Roberto Ho: They have good deals, if you look for them. Like some other reviewers I had problems with the organization of the store, the prices and the separation of new and used items. Some of the prices are ridiculous. My wife found a book with an original sticker on it for one price and their sticker had a much higher price. But we also found tons of quality books for really cheap. You just have to look.
Vee: This place is the most over priced 2&C I have ever been in. And I've been in A LOT. Not to mention, it's not well kept, slightly junky and the fiction section is NOT in Alphabetical order. Looks like they shove groups of books wherever they can. I get it... Customers are jerks that put stuff down in wrong places, but this is groups of books by one author in the wrong place. There several shelves of "F" sandwiched between a bunch of "E". At least Oxford Al 2&C managed to keep the authors in the right sections. Books I have seen at other 2&Cs for $8.50 were $14+ dollars here. Opened Pops, with no boxes, in bags were $24-35. Ha. No, thank you. Definitely won't be back on the next trip.
Evan Schultheis: They don't give any value for used items and then turn around and sell them for the same price as new. They do have collectible stuff sometimes that's a few years old if you missed it but that's about it.Just go to Ebay if you want any money for your items TBH.
Kat Jeffries: Great book store, very large sections. I was able to find a book i had been looking for for months at a much cheaper price than i could find online!
Monte Waddill: This store is fantastic shopping experience. I am a clearance sale junky, no doubt. Go to the back first so you can geta cart full before you max out your card. V A R I E T Y is here, and lots of cool stuff like guitars and CDs, Vinyl Records, wow!
Samantha Taylor: I love the concept of this store, but as a Funko collector, if you trade in, you will not get anywhere near what your pop is worth. They should give more of a percentage if you're asking for store credit, but they don't do that. They have a case where you can purchase higher end, grail Funkos, but they charge PPG for damaged boxes. The way they are displayed, you have no idea what is behind the front displayed boxes unless you ask for assistance. Also, you need to bring your own bag unless you want to pay $2 to $5 to purchase one. There are times you can find a hidden gem on the Funko shelf. They do have a great selection of comic books, and of course books.
Be-U-tiful Dezines: Always a pleasure shopping here...wide variety of items
Latavia Pharr: This place is awesome! Something for each member of my family.
Alana Cooper: Lexis helped me by phone, looking to see if they had Strangers on A Train by Alfred Hitchcock and when she couldn’t find it there she offered to order it brand new and ship to my door. Beautiful customer service. Thanks
Sebastian Bermudez: The best book store in charlotte
Susi Brown: Found the book I wanted for a good price.
Craig Schmitt: Great selection of new and used things (books comics, games, CDs, and DVDs). There also a bunch of genre shirts, toys, games, and accessories. They even sell musical instruments and albums on vinyl. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. It's a really cool store all around! It's a great place to walk around but be prepared to stay for awhile, because there's a lot to take in.
Jonathan Phillips: Always a good selection of movies, books, graphic novels, and video games. We go here once every few months and never leave empty handed. The prices can't be beat.
Dave Hanson: There are lots of interesting things to look at. Books of course but also collectable items music and games
Melissa Grier: Nice store but very slow when it comes to selling or trading games
Althea Sartin: Just amazing! 😍

That's Novel Books: what do users think?
Ben Kalra: my favorite local bookstore. the owner is super nice & helpful. small but mighty selection of books across many genres 📚✨
Kristina Scurry: Wonderful bookstore located in Camp North End. A cozy, immaculate, and warm atmosphere. The shop owner is also super bright and a delight. A Charlotte bookstore definitely worth checking out.
Tracey Choroco: The store is really cute and the options I’m the boutique side are fantastic, but the book selection is too small to be worth the trip just for this. (A nice little stop if you’re already at Camp Northend.)
Alicia Soto: More used books than new which I personally love, however it's not a huge or curated book selection. Certainly a fun shop for artisan products like jewelry, t-shirts, soaps, and more! Their painted has selection is beautiful and I can't wait to go back to get one!
Jane Manfredi: My favorite book store in Charlotte!!! That’s Novel Books is a beautiful curation of used books. I love getting book recommendations from owner, Alyssa. If you aren’t local (or even if you are!) her monthly book subscription is amazing! As well as the monthly silent book club they put on. It’s a treat to have this in our city.
Jennifer Bishop: That's Novel Books is a great addition to the Charlotte area. I've found a lot of great books. The owner is incredibly helpful. I told her the type of book I had just finished and loved, she pulled an assortment of similar books. She really cares about her customers enjoying their reading experience and it shows in the extra mile she goes for everyone.
John Moore: Just a tiny assortment of books located inside another store.
Sandmonster: One of the best book stores in Charlotte! Alyssa is the best and will help you find the perfect book! Love this place!!
Megan Fuller: This is our favorite local used book store. The owner is super responsive and will always hold books for you. Also, my daughter absolutely loves their story time with local authors!
Ryan Guyer: Wonderful used bookstore with a great selection of books and book accessories. The owner Alyssa is very helpful and her passion for books is unlike any others
Daniel Pentecost: If you're not familiar with the independent book seller scene here in Charlotte this one of the places you should get to know. The owner has done a good job curating what's on the shelves. This is a great place to find something you might not otherwise decide to pick up if you were just looking on the 'zon. Periodically the owner also offers "blind date" book selections to help folks fall in love with new genres and writers they might not otherwise be familiar with.
mike C: Fantastic small business that adds so much to the Charlotte book scene. Very happy they are still open, and not at all hard to find in the heart of Camp North End. They have “Blind Date” books, and a silent reading book club. Go here and take a trip through the shelves. Alyssa is awesome and will help you find whatever book you want.
Brittney Derrick: Alyssa is the best!
Phillip Miller: This is a really fun bookstore. The selection isn't vast but still worth a visit.
JaCo: Love this place! Alyssa is super nice and will hold books for you. I love the Blind Date with a Book she offers! I've purchased a couple of these and have been pleasantly happy! Definitely recommend going here for a great selection of books, at prices that will save you money!
Sarah Kaylan Stricker: Great used bookstore! Always stocked well and clean. Super adorable atmosphere with chairs to sit and read or get some work done. Outside there's shared seating (picnictables & rockers), too! 💛 10/10 would recommend.

Park Road Books: what do users think?
Bonnie Robinson: I'm grateful to have a local bookstore to support! This is such a lovely, cozy spot with a large selection of books, puzzles, and cards. Costs are comparable to any chain bookstore. It is such a comfortable space! Between the dog, comfy couches, and relaxed atmosphere, I felt like I was in my living room. I also appreciate the shelves of staff picks and recommendations.
Angela Sharkey: Great selection, happy to order a book in if it is not on the shelf AND puzzles!!!
Paulette Haw: Local favorite.Get your read on!
Leighanne Painter: My favorite local bookstore!
Jacci Mathews-Brown: Loved loved this space! Walked out with a bagful of books and puzzles!
Nicholas Sanford: If you need books, Park Road Books should be your go-to spot. It's a great independent, locally-owned book store. They have a variety of options and knowledgeable staff that's always available to help. If you're in a book club, check out their book club program for discounts on your books! Also, dog friendly!
Julie Putnam: Best bookstore ever!!
Peggy Kuhlmann: Love this book store!
Al: I’d rather come here 100% to buy my new books than to go to a big corporate book company. Love this place and their staff.
Amy White: Shop local. The folks here know their stuff, and it's a fun atmosphere.
Nicholas Underwood: The best independent book store in Charlotte!
Yordanos Yohannes: Very nice place daughter was so excited. I will definitely be back!
Eren N.: This bookstore has lovely, calm atmosphere and it's filled with a wide variety of books and puzzles. My only issue is that the adult fiction shelves are divided into Mystery, Classics (sans mystery classics like Arsene Lupin and Agatha Christie, as all those copies are shelved under Mystery), and All Other Fiction.
Nick Feather: Cozy book store with a great selection and friendly staff.
David Foulser: Everyone should have a local book store as warm and welcoming as Park Road Books. My recent purchase was the same price as on Amazon, but I got to support a local merchant.
Philip Wahlman: Great local book shop!
Natasha: Terrible customer service. There was no other customers in the store(I see why) none of the workers greeted me or asked if I need any help. I won't be back or recommend to anybody.
Preston Evans: Cool place, odd layout
Tonya Cruz: This is a great independent bookstore. I believe it's the last of its kind in Charlotte. They have a great selection of books and book themed gifts. They used do you have authorization to do readings, not sure if they still do. They have a great selection of local authors as well.
Caroline K: Very nice staff. Despite my short time there, I look at the experience in a very positive light.
Jack Werner: Park Road Books is a great bookstore with plenty of options. I've found things spanning from personal finance, YouTuber cookbooks, old classics, local newspapers, and everything in between. It's also a great way to kill time before or after eating in the area.
