We had a BRAND NEW bat and we looked and they had the exact bat on their shelves but theirs was dented scratches all over. Pine tar or some sticky substances all over it and they were asking $80 for it. Again we had the same bat but brand new and they offered me $40. We will never go back to that store again and I know the owners and workers don't care.

I walked in with the intention of selling my used disc golf set, from the moment I walked in I was greeted by a young lady nailah I believe. She was so helpful and so respectful truly one of the best retail associates I’ve ever interacted with. If you are gonna visit or sell with PIA sports talk to nailah. You can tell she cares about the customers, amazing worker. Amazing!
Marsha Daymon-Adams: I went to the store, parked at the front, went in and there were two females behind the register that looked like they could be about 16 or 17 I really don’t think either was 18 but could have been, however, I told the female that I had exercise equipment in my suv and what was the protocol on the process, she walked out to my car and I told her I had to take the arms off in order to get it in she said I don’t think I have space for any of this stuff and could you pull it out and put it back together yourself so I can see it it works and the equipment looks out of date… I looked at her and then she goes on to say I am not doing this just to you but I tell that to every one cause I can’t get something if I don’t know if it’s working so if you are willing to take it out, put it together, bring it in and I’ll let you know but if it’s out date I can’t take anyways…. Hmmm 🤔 the writing say second hand.. I just told her that’s ok I’ll just take it to goodwill and she walked off. Now this was my first time there and if this is how it is I will not recommend anyone to there with bad customer service!! This place came highly recommend! I did call my friend and told him about my experience and he couldn’t believe it!

Carl Joseph Andrews: Probably one of the least organized sports stores I've ever been to. Staff was also borderline rude when redeeming several gift cards I had. I had 2 $10 gift cards and was not able to retain ~$5 of credit left over after a ~$15 purchase. I asked for my gift card back with the remaining balance and was told they cannot redeem a partial amount on a giftcard. Probably will not be returning.Pictures displayed in this google listing are not representative of the store's upkeep. Much of the inventory is spread across the floor and not displayed well at all.

S XG: Updated July 2022 - Wonderful Sports Store and Friendly Staff! Great place to buy and try used sports goods. Well stocked with different sports items. Also carry some new things as well. I go for golf clubs and thanks to this store, I have tried different clubs and sets which has helped me find clubs that work for me and improve my golf game. No other store lets you buy, try and return. Their inventory changes week to week so you get a lot of variety. Also if you return something in a week, they give you full refund even if you have played with the equipment. They take the returns cheerfully and with no complaints. I recommend this store to anyone looking for sports equipment. By the way, NO other golf store will ever let you play with clubs and give you a full refund if you return them. Mitzi MacBain-McPike: I am updating my original review. The problem returned and the same technician came out a second time. Not only did he not fix the Original problem. He created another problem. The noise now is really awful. I was also told not fixable. Incredibly disappointed. I may have wasted $4,800..I bought a refurbished Precor Elliptical. Love my machine. Great investment. Had a slight issue, a technician came out in a timely manner, and easily remedied the problem. I definitely recommend Carolina Fitness Equipment.

THE 808: Ordered a bumper plate and bar set which was delivered faster than expected. One of the plates were over the stamped weight, so I emailed them to purchase a replacement and they told me they would replace it free of charge! To my surprise I come home to two matching plates. Dave Eidson: 2.5 Stars to be Fair to everyone but that's not an option.We have purchased 2 Proform treadmills from this company and the first one lasted for about 1.5 years with low to moderate use before the running platform cracked and broke. We reached out to ProForm to see if this was covered under warranty and it was not due to not being purchased from an unauthorized retailer and duration of time. I reached out to Tyler at Davis Fitness Equipment who responded and offered a replacement running board for purchase. After buying and taking the board back to my house and trying to repair the treadmill, the board was the incorrect part and would not fit. They did not have a part that would fit at their warehouse. Tyler then offered a replacement treadmill at a discounted price which we purchased in early April of 2022 and the product came defective (new in box) with a broken console screen, so the unit would not work at all. I had to take the console back to the facility and get a replacement console just to get the unit working, which occurred in mid April 2022. Most recently, (EarlyJuly 2022 )the platform on the treadmill began cracking again with very limited use – We have approximately 22 hours and 100 miles on the machine and both users are under 200lbs with the weight capacity listed at 300 by the manufacturer. I reached out to Tyler to see what could be done as this was close to the 90 day warranty that his company offers but he informed me it was out of the warranty period and that nothing could be done but that I could purchase another running platform. I have also reached out to Proform about this item for a Warranty but due to this being sold by unauthorized retailer they will not offer a warranty. So I am again stuck with a broken treadmill with no solution but to purchase another platform or another machine. I will also add that our initial conversations with Tyler even when wrong parts and a defective console were provided were fairly friendly, however, the last discussion I had was quite the opposite. Trying to be as fair as possible in the review but we have had 2 broken machines, the second one with very little use. ( to be honest I don’t know what the lifespan/duration of a treadmill is supposed to be, but 3 months is not acceptable in my opinion before a critical failure.) This may be more indicative of the quality of manufacturing, design, and materials by Proform products which I would entirely avoid. Our interaction with Davis Fitness Equipment was initially good but the second machine failing with no resolution and the conversation around that is what drives this review of the company down. If you are looking for a cheap solution to get you through a short period of time they likely can provided equipment for you, however if you have concerns about durability and longevity of the product I would suggest looking elsewhere.As the idiom goes “you get what you pay for” which holds true in this scenario.

chad gentle: Ordered 1 bench from them. My gym members absolutely loved it so I ordered 3 more to replace my promaxima benches!
Michael Hardin: Bought commercial DBs for an upgrade to our gym. They DO NOT fit on a standard commercial DB rack. This is not published in the description on the website. Their solution to me was to buy New racks from them. No thanks. Very poor and deceptive business.
Lou Wich: I've bought several items from Vulcan over the years: Black bumper plates (45s,35s,25s,15s,10s.5s,2.5s and 1s), a pair of yellow 35 bumper plates that were used a weightlifting competition, a 28 kg kettlebell, a pair of 1kg barbell collars and most recently a Pro Swiss/football bar.I am happy with all of the items and expectations were met regarding quality.There was an issue with one of the 45lb bumper plates and Vulcan was quick to remedy the situation via email with pictures.Will buy from them again.
Joe: Bench arrived damaged, clearly shipped from the manufacturer in this condition. Best off buying from Titan, Rogue or Rep, much better quality and customer service.
Drew Young: I've been adding to my home gym collection and this is one of my favorite places even with the Covd-19 inventory issues. I look forward to show room opening back up some day since I live in Charlotte area too. There is step competition so not showroom and no local pick up have weighed in on a few purchases.
Garrett Wood: I was thrilled to find a local company that had fair pricing on what appears to be quality equipment. I had a reasonably good conversation with customer service and they were responsive. However, based on their own company policies (not forced local government regulations), they refused to work with me on a local customer contactless pickup. I live 15 minutes away and would be forced to pay $270 in shipping. I fully support and understand protecting your business and employees. I was more than happy to coordinate a completely safe, zero exposure risk for all parties involved contactless pickup. I'd even pay a premium price to do so. Have some common sense and flexibility in working with your potential customers because you just lost what would have become a repeat, loyal customer. I invite Vulcan to work with me in resolving this experience.
windrider: Before you order from this company, do yourself a favor and call their number. After going thru a selection every single option will hang up on you. I took the risk and got a rack that had incomplete parts. They did however respond to my email and I finally got the parts I ordered. The quality of the equipment is great and as expected.
John Galanek: I wish I could speak for their products, they appear to be of high quality, but I haven’t received my order yet. The problem is with Vulcan customer service. They never pick up their phones, voicemails are full , and they don’t respond to emails in a timely manner, if at all.I ordered an “in stock” item 10 days ago. A week ago it was listed as “Label created for UPS” and hasn’t been updated since. I’ve made multiple calls on multiple days during business hours and sent an email last Friday, all have gone unanswered. That makes 3 business days of attempted contact with no results. The most frustrating part is that any calls placed just go to hold and eventually hang up automatically. I can’t imagine what I’ll do if something is actually wrong with the order.Customer service is the gold standard by which I judge a company. Mistakes happen, it’s how a company resolves problems which proves their worthiness of my hard earned money. Therefore, I’ll gladly update my review if someone contacts me to get this squared away. If not then I’ll be forced to cancel my order and take my business elsewhere. Which is a shame because I am a combat veteran and I was proud to support a veteran owned business.UPDATE: 11/10/20Was able to reach Vulcan support by phone. They assured me that my order would be processed “ very soon”. I didn’t realize that they listed a 10 day processing time for orders. Upgrading to 3 stars for now, still dinged for lack of response. If all goes well will post back when order is received.
Brent Kirk: Had a nightmare experience at the beginning of COVID. Wouldn't honor the order, price gouged and blamed me and then eventually cancelled my order after WEEKS of run around. Yuck. Profit over customer experience is a recipe for disaster. Btw, you will see that almost every review of mine on Google is 5 star, I'm not a hater.
Mike: I bought the Pro High Hex Trap Bar and this is one of the best barbells I have! It weighs 75 lbs and is one of the biggest on the market. I use it for trap bar deads, farmer's walks, and rows. Definitely worth the money!!

S B: Ordered about $8,000 worth of equipment a few months ago. They were slow to respond (understandable) but once they got to our order they were good and responsive.Items arrive. It looks good initially. Build the rack...The platform has no underlayment. It sits 2” below the metal frame. It looks nothing like the picture. Emailed and called and suddenly it was impossible to get ahold of anyone.The wood for the platform isn’t notched for the rubber band connectors at the bottom. The platform isn’t sealed and is badly warped.When I did get a hold of someone I was told that “the CAD designer needs a week to find a solution.” Then I was told “the CAD designer is sick.” Apparently to build up the platform, you have to supply your own plywood underneath, which requires a special drawing? The website didn’t say anything about that. If there is going to be $200-$300 added costs and you need to cut plywood, you should probably mention that.I got the run around. It took so many calls and emails to get anyone to respond. I was told that the wood was sealed and it was matte and then 6 hours later got another response saying they never seal their platforms. The online description says it’s sealed. I did a water drop test and It was not sealed. Unfortunately it was warped before it arrived so there’s nothing you can do about as the board rocks back and forth and lifts at the joint.I ended up getting a partial refund. I had to cut the platform board to work with the platform. I had to spend $250 on horse mats (no refund) to build up the platform to look like it did online and not be a trip hazard. I’ve tried weighting the board down but it will have to be replaced.They are so disorganized and sold me a product that obviously no one ever bothered to put together to see if it worked...it didn’t.There were other minor issues- they sent warped and broken J hooks and left some pieces out but honestly I could live with that.Don’t buy their benches. They’re obviously not made in house. The screw holes didn’t line up and the cloth wasn’t cut for the bolts.They took my money and sold me a product that wasn’t fully designed, they lied about the description online, gave me different answers to the same question to try and deflect and push blame, and they have poor workmanship.Being stuck with thousands of dollars of un-useable equipment, that you can’t reasonably send back, isn’t somewhere anyone wants to be. They are happy to sell you things that aren’t completed, tested, or functional. You’re better off waiting for another company to get things in stock.
Francesca Camacho: Although your equipment is awesome and my husband is very satisfied with our purchase, the customer service seems to be nonexistent. I have tried calling several times and every avenue the call is disconnected and all voicemails are full. I have sent two emails as well and have yet to get a response. This is unfortunate! We have not received part of our purchase and its been 3 weeks since we’ve received the first part. I did read the automated follow up email after our package was delivered and it said that some parts are sent separately, but it’s been 3 weeks and there’s no tracking number for the rest of our order. It would be great to talk with a rep about this.
AI: Changing back to a 1-star review for deceptive advertising and rust - had to pickup the rack because I was never contacted back for an exact pickup time, and had to go to the warehouse myself.Further, couple of the uprights have rust on the inside, and have brown dust from that rust seeping out of the holes.Bolts are NOT 5/8", they are M10 bolts (HALF THE SIZE) confirmed by Vulcan, which is deceptive advertising on their website, and confirmed through email (see attached for website description).Everything is made in China, and the welds on the uprights are poorly done. No instructions attached for assembly.Be cautious when purchasing
Mark Saxiones: Ive shopped around extensively and read numerous reviews of other fitness websites, especially weight racks. From this research, I have concluded that many people lick windows instead of reading instructions, and then get mad at the fitness companies when it tastes funny. I have never defended a company before, but this is not another company. The people who own and work at this place actually care and work diligently. Don't listen to the negative reviews. They are a local business that stays extremely busy because they have great products, great price points, and many happy customers. Their customer service is the best I have seen from any company. I ordered 500 pounds of weights very last minute, and they had the set ready to be picked up in two business days which was crucial because I don't live in charlotte but travel frequently. The stakes were high for me and they came through. Their bumper plates are great quality, better than rogue or a lot of "top" fitness brands and I enjoyed doing business with them. I have recommended them to all my friends and will continue to do so. I will also be giving them preference when considering fitness equipment in the future. You can purchase here confidently.
Terrance McDonnell: Been purchasing equipment from Vulcan for years. Just happened to notice they only have a 3.8 rating on Google. Totally insane. This is a 5 star company all the way. One of the top 3 to 4 fitness companies in the US.
Sly Krzynowek: Seemed like a great company with all the research my wife had done. Long story short we put in an order for a bumper plate package as a Christmas gift.We recieved the package with one 45lb bumper plate missing?? Looks like the package was not taped enough and somehow a 45lb plate is lost.. sounds unreal someone handling it would not notice but anyway things happen Im sure Vulcan will make things right... wrong..We called to discuss this on 12/12/19 asked to get the plate and to speak with a manager as Christmas was coming up and it took about 2 weeks to get the original order. The call rep wanted to argue her point of them not doing anything wrong and it was 100% on UPS asking if we started a claim. We emailed over pictures and in the reply followed up as her email notes nothing about a manager following up or any other accomidations being made.Fast forward 12/16/19 no reply or phone call from anyone, when calling back rep says they will be shipping a plate to us hopefully today and that our issue is resolved.Not even sure if the rep had forwarded any information to management. Have not used the bumper plates yet but customer service has been extremly poor The rep acting like im the one who packaged the weights or even chose the company and I was at fault. So far nothing but wasting time .. Theres alot of companies that will appreciate your business and not make you jump through hoops.. do your research before you make the same mistake we did
Spencer Jay: I spent a good bit of time researching racks that didn’t need any stabilizing support at the bottom. It ended up being between Rogue and Vulcan. I ordered the power rack flat base and received a rack that had the wrong pieces in it. This set, needed the stabilizing bar at the bottom. In the end, they told me my set was a hybrid between a new and old version. When asked if I could use the version I received without the stabilizing bar they said “You could but since we didn’t design it for that we can’t guarantee it”. I’m actually fairly confident that I received some sort of Frankenstein mix of Vulcan parts. I don’t really feel like risking safety for a lift so I have not removed the stabilizing bar [even though that’s the entire reason I bought it =]I ended up getting a 15% or so discount on a barbell and they sent me a banner and a tee shirt, but I never received the weight set I ordered. The equipment has been good, however the whole reason I ordered from them was because they had equipment that could be set up without any additional support at the bottom, and I received a set I can’t use that way. I hate leaving bad reviews, but i has to in this case. As much as I love to go local every opportunity I get, I’m fairly disappointed, has taught me I will go with the professionals and go rogue from now on.Additional note, my barbell from Vulcan has been great. I have no complaints with quality of material.
Benjamin Slade: I own a pair of Vulcan Urethane 45s and their absolute power bar, and have been very pleased with the customer service and quality of products. When I have reached out with questions, they have been quick to respond via phone or text. I have only purchased online, but I hope to visit their facility at some point in the future.
Jeremy Willis: It's Meathead Heaven. If you need any strength equipment, it's all top notch, and definitely if you're in the CLT area, local pickup and not having to pay for shipping is a great thing.

Last weekend, we decided to pop into the Huntersville US Fitness store to look around at the treadmills we were interested in. Adam was a wealth of information.
