She was going buy a set of irons, a hybrid, putter and a bag.Uninterested is the best way to describe our experience.The manager greeted us and said “Back there someone will help you.”After a lengthy wait, a exasperated salesperson showed up and immediately told us what she needed without ever seeing her swing a club.Then he disappeared to find a club we requested. After a even longer wait, I found he was putting grips on for someone.After seeing her swing, he said “You have a nice swing but you have no club head speed.SHE’S 71 YEARS OLD!!!!!She told me she would never spend a penny in there. She left insulted, hurt, and had no interest in purchasing a putter she really liked.Nice Job Guys.I can’t help but wonder, how many other women have been treated in this manner.

dominic stevens: Worst golf store in the states. Come here if you want some jokes of employees working on your clubs. Had to bring my new SM9 wedges there and they messed up 3 times re gripping them. I have spent nearly 100 dollars in gas just driving back and forth for them to continuously screw up my clubs. Not only have they abysmally messed up such a simple task, they were extremely rude in the process. If you care about your clubs never take them to this location where the employees obviously take zero pride in their work. After spending thousands on clubs here the last few weeks, I will never be returning to this store and regret ever giving them my business.

One guy was on the phone and when he got off, he never acknowledged me or attempted to help out. There were two reps in the back and no hello or welcome. I've spent a lot of money there but I will be doing my business with the one on providence going forward. This location is closer but if it takes me to drive an extra 30 minutes for better service, it's worth to train your floor reps to do their jobs and not be lazy.

Mark Zeiner: I predominantly buy my golf equipment from this store. I have had two drivers' face cracks recently, and the store was great at assisting in getting the club warrant. When I went in yesterday to turn the cracked club in, I checked on a new driver I had ordered. While they didn't have it as it arrived in the system, they still checked the back and found that it was in a delivery they were receiving at that moment and quickly checked the club in, so I would have my driver for this weekend.
Ken Brasington: In late November, I purchased a new shaft and took it to the Northlake location to get it cut, a grip put on, and an adapter attached; approximately 24-hours later it was ready for pick-up. During the first round (mid/late December), I noticed the shaft seemed shorter than I’m used to; the guys at the service counter cut it down to a typical 45” playing length when I specifically asked for 45-3/4”. I took it into the store just after Christmas and a gentleman behind the counter said “I’ll fix it for you, free of charge this time” (Gee thanks since it’s what I paid for to begin with).The following week I played at Rocky River. On the first tee, after two practice swings, I teed off and watched the head of the driver fly and take two bounces down the cart path. I figured it was just bad luck to have a shaft snap but when I took a closer look, the shaft wasn’t broken, just the adapter came clean off the driver. The following week I had a minute and was in the area so I stopped in and told an associate the situation, he re-attached the adapter in about 90 seconds and suggested I talk to Ping about it to see if they would cover it through their warranty (dented sole and a dinged crown). Obviously they basically told me it wasn’t on them as the shaft and adapter were installed by Golf Galaxy. The associate relayed messages to a manager who was “too busy” and told me to bring the driver head it to “see what they can do about it.” As I walked around the store I saw the manager on the computer responding to emails; it literally would’ve taken 2 minutes of his time to talk to me.This past week, I transferred my newly repaired shaft back into the driver and played Mooresville, I figured I could take it in after my round since I would be in the area (I’m close to Salisbury). First tee, my luck with this situation continues, driver head flies through the air straight into the pond. I look at the shaft and see it’s the same exact result, shaft is unbroken and the driver head and adapter are gone.Instead of submitting a review, I used the chat feature on the website and was told someone from the leadership team would reach out to me in 24-48 hours. After 4-5 days I reached out via chat again. This time I was told a District Manager would reach out, 3-4 days later, still no contact has been made. What’s the point of being a Gold Member?I’m now forced to buy a new driver due to this chain of events which have all been a direct result of the only service team to do any modifications to my driver.Once Management was made aware of the situation, Greg Dunn especially, they were more than happy to rectify the situation. I reached out to the online chat and the corporate customer service team multiple times only to find out they were not relaying messages to the store. Greg went above and beyond what I anticipated and thank him for taking the time to understand the problem and come up with multiple solutions.
Blake Nelson: I walked in with my putter (no grip on it) to look for an extension. I asked one of the employees for help & they said that they may have the correct one in their parts bin (which is used for them to service customers clubs) he found it, and said hey, I will cut this off, glue it and make sure you’re all set. He did it with a smile & didn’t charge me for it.He was a great help and this experience alone will keep me coming back to use Golf Galaxy.

Mitchell Aber: Complete ripoff and rude. I can get over refusing any of the golf clubs I was wanting to trade in without even looking at them. We had a BRAND NEW bat and we looked and they had the exact bat on their shelves but theirs was dented scratches all over. Pine tar or some sticky substances all over it and they were asking $80 for it. Again we had the same bat but brand new and they offered me $40. We will never go back to that store again and I know the owners and workers don't care.

I walked in with the intention of selling my used disc golf set, from the moment I walked in I was greeted by a young lady nailah I believe. She was so helpful and so respectful truly one of the best retail associates I’ve ever interacted with. If you are gonna visit or sell with PIA sports talk to nailah. You can tell she cares about the customers, amazing worker. Amazing!
Marsha Daymon-Adams: I went to the store, parked at the front, went in and there were two females behind the register that looked like they could be about 16 or 17 I really don’t think either was 18 but could have been, however, I told the female that I had exercise equipment in my suv and what was the protocol on the process, she walked out to my car and I told her I had to take the arms off in order to get it in she said I don’t think I have space for any of this stuff and could you pull it out and put it back together yourself so I can see it it works and the equipment looks out of date… I looked at her and then she goes on to say I am not doing this just to you but I tell that to every one cause I can’t get something if I don’t know if it’s working so if you are willing to take it out, put it together, bring it in and I’ll let you know but if it’s out date I can’t take anyways…. Hmmm 🤔 the writing say second hand.. I just told her that’s ok I’ll just take it to goodwill and she walked off. Now this was my first time there and if this is how it is I will not recommend anyone to there with bad customer service!! This place came highly recommend! I did call my friend and told him about my experience and he couldn’t believe it!

I asked for my gift card back with the remaining balance and was told they cannot redeem a partial amount on a giftcard. Probably will not be returning.Pictures displayed in this google listing are not representative of the store's upkeep. Much of the inventory is spread across the floor and not displayed well at all.

I go for golf clubs and thanks to this store, I have tried different clubs and sets which has helped me find clubs that work for me and improve my golf game. No other store lets you buy, try and return. Their inventory changes week to week so you get a lot of variety. Also if you return something in a week, they give you full refund even if you have played with the equipment. They take the returns cheerfully and with no complaints. I recommend this store to anyone looking for sports equipment. By the way, NO other golf store will ever let you play with clubs and give you a full refund if you return them. Play It Again Sports is really unique that way. Good luck!

Gage Taylor: Went into this golf galaxy after having a bad fitting experience at a different golf store and I have to tell y’all.. SCOTT IS THE MAN! Saw me swing a few times and almost instantly had me testing multiple options to find the right one while the other place was pushing me to buy one I didn’t need after all. He’s the best in the business and this golf galaxy definitely gives you the attention you need. This will be my forever home for a golf store
Han Ton: So i had $40 in my reward pts, I got my driver re-gripped about $16. The cashier, Scott I, told me if I used my rewards to pay, they would wipe out the total amount of $40 even though I only needed $16. He told me that's GG policy, which I think it's ridiculous and unfair to customers. Customers are forced to used all rewards at once, and so, I ended up to buy a hat to use up all my rewards. I'm a loyal long time customer, but I'm not coming back to this store anymore. There's a PGA Superstore 5 times bigger next door. Good luck GG!

Dave Wooten: This was the first time I've had a club fitting. I've not had the opportunity to play that often but retirement is just around the corner and I want to get back into the swing of golf. Taylor was the best! He was extremely knowledgeable about the right club type, weight and length to match my swing. I saw first hand through the advanced technology the difference in an instant a club change made. Taylor helped me with a full bag fitting. He did not try to push me into a club I did not need but truly focused an an actual reduction in club count in my bag. Can't wait to use my new clubs in the weeks ahead. Mike Shaup: I've been fit a few times at Club Champion, and this was by far my favorite and best experience. My fitter was with Taylor, and I would highly recommend him. He was diligent and patient with the fitting to make sure we tested every combination to make sure we saw the gains that I was looking for. It was refreshing to have a fitter focus on improving the bad shots and not just focusing on the few good strikes. Taylor was also very responsive and answered all of my questions after the fitting as well.

I got fit for a full bag last year and it was incredible. I was given many options based on my speed and skill all while getting great detail of what we wanted to see with each shaft and head combination. I truly love Chris. He was so enthusiastic and was a great cheerleader as we went through the process. His knowledge was immense and I returned to Chris a year later for a Driver fitting. Not because my current driver sucked but I'm a consumer and wanted a new one. The options, the quality of work, the knowledge of Chris and the whole process is some of the most fun I have ever had while hitting golf balls.If you are on the fence, I am here to tell you, get fit and get fit by Chris Nelson. Francis Carrese: Taylor Fleig fitted me for new irons and re-shafted my driver and three wood approximately 3 weeks ago. As promised I hit my driver and three wood longer as well as my irons. The irons have a beautiful lofted trajectory which is great on the elevated greens I play. I have lowered my score by 10 strokes the last two outings. I highly recommend Club Champion Charlotte and especially Taylor Fleig.

Jude Colangelo: Went to get clubs cut down. They didn’t even ask me to hold the clubs and yet they suggested 1/2” to be cut. When I asked if I could have a fitting (since the big sign over the club service area says “fitting”) they said that would be $100 on top of the $175 to cut and regrip the clubs. Then they demanded payment up front before the work was to be done. The whole thing seemed very unprofessional and not as technical as one would expect a club fitting to be.
S XG: The staff at Golf Galaxy at Carolina Place Mall is very customer friendly and they go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied. I went there Oct 2022 since my Taylormade SIM driver head was 'stuck' to the shaft adapter. After trying hard to get it off, Mike at GG said he would need to break the adapter to separate the shaft and he offered to put a new adapter free of charge (as my shaft got scratched a bit). Well, later I got a call with Mike telling me that they could not get the adapter out of the TM head, and instead, he offered a NEW upgraded SIM2 driver head free of charge! I was happy with the offer. He said they would send the old head back to TM to figure out the issue. The next day when I went to pick up my driver, I got the new SIM2 head plus they also gave me back my old SIM driver head as they were eventually able to get the adapter out. Clearly Mike and the other guys went above and beyond. In my prior visits also they have been courteous, friendly and professional. Highly recommend Golf Galaxy at Carolina Place Mall.

Brian Cipcic: I did a club fitting on Wednesday with Ryan. Not only was he great to work with but took his time and made sure I was not done until I was hitting the ball properly. He had me adjust a couple things in my set up and down swing to determine my settings are fit for a standard set of irons. They even had the set of irons I wanted in stock and was able to get them regripped and take them home the same day. So not only did I leave with new clubs, I left with a better swing and more confidence. Thank You RYAN!!

John Carpenter: I went for a driver fitting and can honestly say I was not disappointed my fitter was very knowledgeable about each product that was recommended for both shaft selection and driver head we eventually settled on a Titleist Tsi 3 with a Tensei white raw 65g shaft and this combination is amazing for my swing. Highly recommend the fitters at this location
Kyle Vaughan: Excellent assistance from Kevin. He pointed out all my issues with the drive while not giving too many pointers. I was at the $100 cost to do a club fitting (I had heard it was only $20-$30 but I was told this Golf Galaxy had new swing station technology), but the cost comes off the club price if you buy there. You have 60 days after the fitting to credit a club purchase.
Mark Zeiner: They have a great set up, but a horrible club demo policy. You only can demo a club with 5 swings and they only let you see carry and roll so you have no idea on spin rates angle of attack or anything. If you want to compare your drive to the new one you are looking at, you are required to $20 (refundable if you buy the new driver). I would recommend some of the other golf galaxy’s in the area.

Robert Babb: Basically the experience was good. I went in to talk about trading club. I did try out a Callaway Driver and it seemed to fit me okay. However when I told the sales person I was interested he started taking the grip off the new club and put on the new grip. I was expecting him to give me a value before all of that. I was very disappointed in the amount he offered me for my two clubs but by that time I felt obligated to buy the new one since he put the new grip on.
Blake Nelson: I was instructed by Taylormade to go to a retailer to have my driver warrantied. I worked with a guy named Thomas and he was a great help throughout the whole process. He explained all of the steps to me in detail and answered all of my questions. He was a fantastic help & will be back again.
Steven Beisswenger: Drove from 30+ mins away wanting to purchase a new driver or at least demo it and had to pay to demo due to their "technology" at the store. Go anywhere else to purchase. Very limited stock in this ghost town of a store.

Michael Hill: We stopped while we were traveling and bought a couple of shakes they were very good everyone inside was very helpful just really nice folks.
Sam Shanks: Went to Greater Golf yesterday wanting to buy a new set of irons. I haven't really played much over the last several years but wanted to get back into it.First impression of the store was that it was packed with product! They have everything including a large selection of new and used clubs. I wandered for maybe a minute and Fred, the owner, introduced himself, made me feel at home. He asked me a couple of questions got me set up with Dixon the golf pro. Dixon was awesome, very patience...watched my swings and tested out several different clubs in my price point until I had one that was perfect. Dixon had to adjust the lengths and the loft so I figured it would be a week or so and I could go back and pick them up. Left the store extremely happy with the experience.At 7:00, Fred (remember the owner)...called me...that's right called me...and thanked me for my business and told me Dixon had busted his tail and got my clubs ready that day! I am so impressed with Fred and his staff, don't go anywhere else...these guys are awesome and you won't be disappointed.

My son came up here all the way from Columbia with a pocketful of cash to buy new clubs. Took two hits in the makeshift hitting bay and toed one off. Salesperson shut him down. He will buys his clubs at a different place now. Understand the persons concern, but that was a little harsh. Not only did the mishit embarrass my son, but being reprimanded by the staff just increased it. Not everyone is a professional golfer, and your store is great for us hackers. Make it more safe and user friendly and these problems won’t happen. I own a small business and my help, or me, wouldn’t ever think about treating a customer this bad.

David Moody: Today was my first time to visit Greater Golf Express in Pineville, NC. The store was well stocked, especially considering the year that 2020 and early 2021has been. The gentleman in the club repair area was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, as was the gentleman behind the cash register. They were able to provide me with grips and a new fairway wood that I had been looking to find. This is one of the best golf shops that I have visited in some time. I will definitely be back for another visit next time I’m in town.
Rick Wolstencroft: My favorite place to get golf equipment. They carry all the top line new clubs, from Callaway, Titleist, Mizuno, Taylormade, Cleveland, you name it and at great prices. They also sell used brand named clubs that allow you to get into the brand name clubs at great prices. They have the largest selection of left handed clubs, too! There club fitting is excellent. I was fitted yesterday for new clubs from the driver to sand wedge. The gentleman who did the fitting was very knowledgeable and helped me find the best clubs for my game. Try Greater Golf Express for ALL of your golf needs. I BELIEVE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
