I booked after seeing she was the pnly photographer in NC that did the style of portrait i was looking for which she calls color in motion. But that was just a fraction of my experience. Everything was thought off and provided. I was hesitant to use her makeup artist but she has a diverse clientele and the makeup artist made me look like a star. Lia picked the perfect dresses and accessories for my maternity shoot. She is beyond accommodating and makes you feel so comfortable and welcomed. I ordered the metal frame and photo album. I drove all the way from Durham to have my photo taken and i was not disappointed. My doula said my album was the most exquisite maternity shoot she’s ever seen! These are more than photos, it’s art. The only complaint, if you can even call it that, I have is that we live in Durham and i have to drive to pick up the things i ordered vs having them shipped to me. So it’s much better to live closer to the studio so you don’t have to travel much especially postpartum. Overall, I’m so pleased with how everything turned out and so happy i made this decision especially since this is our last baby. I’d recommend every person book for at least the maternity shoot.

Marie Furr: While pregnant during my last trimester, I frantically tried to search for a photographer to use for both my maternity photos, in addition to newborn photos for my little guy! I came across Kira’s page while searching and was blown away by the quality and detail of her work. I am so glad I decided to use her to capture this special time in my (and my husband’s) life. She is so personable, energetic, sweet, and she really makes you feel at ease when shooting (because let’s be honest I’m not good in front of a camera)! Her talent is beyond that of any photographer I’ve ever seen! She recommended an incredible location at a park for the maternity photos, and we got some of the most beautiful photos while the sun was setting (with several different backdrops and outfit changes within her wardrobe)! We did the newborn photos in the studio, and again, she captured our baby boy in the most beautiful way with 4-5 different backdrops, using her own props and outfits! They all came out so beautiful that it was difficult to select just a number of them! My husband and I were so blown away by her work, and we got so many compliments on our photos. We would highly recommend Kira for all of your maternity/newborn photos if you are on the hunt for a great photographer! She is so easy to work with, and you will be so happy with the final outcome!
