Mint Museum Uptown: what do users think?
XP Liu: Nice museum!
Dave DiGiacomo: Big fam of art & art museums though modern art isn't normally my forte, but floors are laid out beautifully & each level presents its particular collection in a serene atmosphere. I was most impressed with the Andy Warhol "Marilyn" & the Salvador Dali "Don Quixote" paintings!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry $11–15 …More

DC: Mostly just a huge empty building with and handfulof interesting art pieces. Super disappointed. As if the number of art pieces here wasn't sad enough, the echoes of the "security guard" grunting like he was in agony and then walking through the rooms making farting noises with his mouth was enough to make me ready to leave after 10 minutes. I can't believe people would ever pay to see this place a 2nd time. I sure won't be back. Oh, and the parking is 8 levels of hell so be prepared
shamila ramachandran: The only art museum that has a quaint family room where plenty of art supplies are available to let our imagination go wild. They have cool stencils on salmon and how the artist applies it for her work. Kids and adults discovered how different materials are used in art, and they got inspired. 5 stars
Reem M: Good addition to the city. Clean building. Collection is on the smaller side. They don't showcase my favorite kinds of art but I was happily surprised by some of the pieces. Definitely worth a visit if you have nothing better to do.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …More

Carolina History & Haunts Charlotte Ghost Tour: what do users think?
James Heath: Elizabeth was simply amazing. Great times, good stories.
Katie Menter: I visited some friends who are new to the Charlotte area and we decided to take this tour to learn more about the Queen's city. Our tour guide, Laura, was a delight to listen to! Her in depth analysis of the roots of Charlotte gave us a perfect snapshot into the past. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to strengthen their Charlotte trivia game and find a haunt or two along the way!
Judy Brodock: Wonderful historic information and the origin of famous haunts.
Alyce Maddocks: Elizabeth - the tour guide, was amazing! She made the tour not only fun but incredibly interesting.
Britney Flowers: This was one of the most fun expierences I’ve had. Elizabeth was our guide and we loved her ✨theatrics✨, fun personality and knowledge. The tour was extremely informative whether you are a local or not. Learning the history of these places was great! Definitely recommend. And please remember to tip your guides - they work so hard to make sure this is a wonderful experience for you!!!
Evan Carr: Our tour guide Laura lead us through a wonderfully spooky walk and taught us a lot about the history of the area. It was very informative and extremely fun even in below freezing weather! Laura herself was very knowledgeable and entertaining and did everything off the top of her head which was impressive.
d mccr: Excellent tour highly recommended if you enjoy ghost tours
Alisha Hoban: Amazing tour last night! Definitely recommend!! We were able to see a few spirits at our last stop, in the graveyard
Leslie Hubbard: Our tour was great and Elizabeth was amazing !
John Davidson: Absolutely fantastic, and very professionally performed! When I reviewed the photos taken, I saw something that's never happened before. The tour guide is blurry in most of them, while the rest of the photo is crystal clear, so still not sure why. =-OI'm new to the area and this was a real treat to learn local history, especially with spooky stories just before Halloween! Definitely recommend, and would do again! 5 stars
Robie Johnson: Laura was an amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable and did a great job. This tour is the perfect blend of history and haunts
Candace Lapan: What a fun event! Great to get spooky stories but lots of history about Charlotte. Something for everyone. I'd definitely recommend! Great guide!
Johnathan Vaughan: Elizabeth was amazing! Her theater acting experience definitely made her animated and passionate about the darker history of Charlotte and the places that may have supernatural connections! Our tour was easily paced and she blocked the intersections whenever we crossed to ensure our safety. We loved hearing about the gold rush past and the tie to the current banks in CLT! We can't wait to try another tour and learn even more! We also went to Ri Ra after to see some of the things we learned on the tour and it was pretty cool!
Dacia Zimmer: We were looking for something fun to do in Uptown and found this history and haunts tour. Elizabeth was our tour guide and did a phenomenal job! She was extremely knowledgeable about the citities history and hauntings. I had no idea how old a lot of the buildings are and how much history is underneath the sky scrapers. We were entertained the entire time and she was loud enough for a group of 20 to hear.I highly suggest this tour as something to do. Especially as we start to near hallows eve.
Cindy Owano: This was a fun tour! Our guide, Elizabeth, was fantastic! With a sense of theater, she delivered a great history of Charlotte with, of course, emphasis on the spooky. I really appreciated how she was able to pull together topics throughout the whole tour, making it more like a conversation as opposed to a list of facts. While not excessively physically strenuous, it might be a bit tough for very small children or people with mobility problems without assistance, it's about 1 1/2 hrs. I recommend this tour!
Christine R: This was so much fun! Our guide was quite animated and brought the history, the lore and stories to life. Charolette is a fascinating place chalk full of history. Our tour was in some rain but our guide knew of all the undercover options and it did not dampen the tour at all.
Hanna Greiner: Elizabeth was an amazing tour guide. We learned so much about charlottes history and lots of haunting facts. Would recommend to anyone!
Kenya Blanks: Lisa was so funny and knowledgeable!!! We had such a great time!! Would love to do it again!
Abby Ingle: Our tour guide was Laura, and she was very entertaining! I’ve been on several ghost tours in other cities, and this was one of my favorites. Highly recommend this tour!
Shelia Hoge: Artie was awesome!! Thoroughly enjoyed the tour👍👍😱
Ronald Marchesano: Really informative and interesting tour through uptown Charlotte that depicts the rich, tumultuous, history that left its imprint on the surrounding landscape. Fun and enjoyable, this tour company does a wonderful job at entertaining its patrons.

Reem M: The staff was pleasant. The bathrooms were clean. The museum has multiple floors but museum's number of art pieces is closer to that of a large gallery than a museum and it only has modern art, so I would only recommend it for those that really like modern art. Dana Stickels: The Music and Museum events could be wonderful. The events involve accomplished and renowned artists providing commentary regarding the connections between art and music, but the execution of the events is very poor. Staff are not properly trained in operating a PA system. As a result you are not likely to be able to hear any commentary given by guest lecturers or artists. I have complained twice to the Executive Director at the events. He has apologized to me personally and the crowd as a whole, but no indication was given that any steps will be taken to train the staff. He laughed it off as "our expertise is visual arts, not sound". Regardless of your area of focus, if you are charging people for events that include auditory content you should take the auditory portion of the event seriously. During my last two visits the vast majority of the audience could not hear the artists speaking at all. As a result the composers immediately gave up on using the non-working microphone and shouted at the audience as best they could. The rest of the museum was open, and they failed to block off those exit doors, so you had museum goers unknowingly exiting into a chamber music performance with loud doors interrupting the performance.
Ralph Canfield: Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $16–20More
Parker Tollett: Went on a date there and was very disappointed. There was not much art for there to be 4 floors. and when me and my girlfriend were looking at a darker sculpture showing a paint tube hanging a worker came up to us and downgraded the sculpture like we didn't know what it was trying to show us. It pretty much ruins the rest of the museum.
Allyson Colaco: A great place for modern art, the Bechtler is located right in Uptown Charlotte along the Levine Avenue of the Arts (attached to Knight Theater and across the avenue from The Mint Museum). It is also the location of the “Firebird” sculpture, created by Niki de Saint Phalle — it’s a definite photo op if you are in Charlotte! Our recent visit to the museum centered around the “Jazz at the Betchler” event — the first Friday of each month with two shows at 6 and 8:15 pm. (See video with review!) We also tend to visit whenever we hear about a new art installation. Don’t miss the gift shop as it is great for creative and imaginative gifts!
Hunt Blatz: This museum is the right size for its focus with four floors and four exhibit rooms. The theme has a natural focus on European, with a strong Swiss presence, of art between WW1 and mid 1900s, where the group of artists with pieces in this museum built on each other and tended to move in the same circles. The museum is well laid out and has wonderful pieces.
Vanessa Christoffel: Very nice spot to stop for some inspiration! Should not take more than an hour to cover but love the selection of pieces
Marian Nava: I love it, they have a good artist inside to show us

Susan Saunders: I feel like this is a great museum. As soon as we entered the front desk clerk was very nice and greeted us promptly and she also checked us out at the end from the amazing gift shop. The museum is definitely interesting and there was a wonderful woman with blue in her hair who was very attentive and interacted with everyone providing in depth knowledge and experience on everything we discussed. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for a great experience!

phobus10: I purchased my tickets online in advance, buying the fast lane ticket. It was advertised as $50 something dollars, after checkout it was $90. Found out at Carrowinds I wasted my money as you cannot just buy a fast pass ticket, so I wasn't allowed in with just that ticket. Luckily I was refunded and able to purchase regular tickets, only for the weather to shut down every ride. (It was cloudy and didn't rain at all but I understand the necessity). All in all it was a waste of time. Spend over $30 to walk to an area and sit for over four hours. Then when they shut down the park we were unable to get our own belongings from a locker and it took staff two hours to bring our belongings from the lockers to guest services. Once there the staff had a hard time getting belongings to people. I used to go all the time as a kid. This was the worst experience I've ever had at the park.

Romare Bearden Park: what do users think?
Loretta Patterson: While visiting my sister for the 4th of July we went to the park to watch the fireworks show. It was by far the best show that I have ever seen.
Jafeth Herrera: Es un lugar agradable, tranquilo, y tiene buena vista para tomarse fotos
Stephanie Alexander: It appeared clean.Dog-friendliness: Saw lots of dogs playing.
Ádina Santana: I was in there on July 13 at 9am. It is a beautiful places but I figured out that one of the homeless in there was chasing me. For this reason I ran away from the park and had no reason to give a better review.
Audrey Byram: The water fountain is the best part. There's not much else. Too many homeless people
Максим Черданцев: Fine place to see Charlotte. Look for free parkings.
Nuran Malik: Great spot
Jose Leonardo Espindola Salazar: Es un lugar de esparcimiento a todos los niveles, soltero de relajación, en familia para hacer un Pícnic con la familia, todo excelente
Ivette Diaz-Rubio: Beautiful open green space with a water feature and statues.
Anna Svietlova: Amazing place for evening walkPlayground: Some music instruments that kids can playRestrooms: FreePicnic area: Grass
HAROLD RANSOM: Spent the day with my grandson at Romare Bearden park. He really enjoyed the waterfall and posing on the rocks.
Julian V.: Free 4th of July brawls!
m trotter: Merchant & Farmers rooftop view in Charlotte. Expansive rooftop, good music and great vibe
ASHLEY NIGHTENGALE: It was very nice. I came here on the 4th for fireworks until a fight broke out in the park, which sent people going in all directions.
Bella SHAKHNAZAROVA: If you love the outdoors, the park also has plenty of green spaces and jogging paths that will provide you with the opportunity to run and walk. In addition, the park has picnic areas and recreation areas where you can enjoy beautiful views of nature and spend time with family and friends.
SELENA ROYE: Unfortunately, I was there for the 4th of July Kaios. It was nice until the shooting and fighting began. Everyone was enjoying themselves until then. A beautiful array of cultures. I loved it, but the madness ruined it.
Jimmy Dean: Restrooms: There are public restrooms here now! And they're fairly clean!
Alisa Wright: Not safe on the 4th of July, great place any other time.
Salome Makasi: Awesome
Mya Rice: Fireworks were awesome as usual. We go every year. But this year people were scared, random groups of people running because someone was throwing fireworks into the crowd. This happened several times this year.
Dustin Allen: Nice downtown style park. Nice water feature where you can get wet.

Queen City Rides: what do users think?
Susan Masterson: Definitely worth the money!! We booked the golf cart brewery tour for our son's birthday and had a fantastic time. Ernesto was the best driver (tour guide) ever and made sure we were enjoying each stop and then based on our feedback changed the itinerary so each stop would be the best for us. We moved here a few months ago so he also showed us around and told us so many interesting things about Charlotte. We can't wait to bring our friends and family on another tour when they come to visit. It is the best way to enjoy a day or night in Charlotte. Thanks for a great night!!
Linda Jones-Bell: Allie provided an excellent tour
Lucy Meier: David was the best tour guide I have ever had ever!!!! It was such an interesting tour. Highly recommend.
lisa Smith: Our guide, Audrey was wonderful and very informative! She made the tour an awesome experience for my friend and I. We absolutely loved the tour!!
Jim Profeto: Fantastic Tour, well worth the price
Omar Catoe: This was a good experience for me. The tour guide Keith was excellent. I LOVE the golf car they let you ride in as well. It is WAYYYYYYYYY better than being in a tour bus. I really like that. I only have one suggestion, I wish they gave a full tour of Charlotte even if it took longer than 90 minutes and cost more than $45. I'd be willing to pay to get the FULL Charlotte experience. Queen City Rides just mostly stayed in the Uptown (downtown) Charlotte area near the Government Center. I didn't like that unfortunately. I was hoping to see the famous "Freedom Park" and other landmarks. So I may have to seek out a tour guide who can show me the full Charlotte even if it takes longer and costs more. All in all, I'd definitely recommend Queen City Rides. Just as a disclaimer, you're only going to be seeing the Uptown area. But it's still helpful because I wouldn't have known about a few places like "Illusion Museum" or the "Discovery Building" without Keith's expertise. So it's definitely worth it... just limited. Good job, Keith. Peace.
T Beck: I have lived here the majority of my 60 years AND I learned some things. I was able to add my personal experience without taking away from our driver.(because she is AMAZING) My driver called to make sure I understood she was running at the start time and would make sure we has the COMPLETE tour.
Larry Berfond: A great way to spend on a cart listening to some city history and learning just how nice your city is. We anxiously awaited our cart to meet us when a monsoon of strong storms hit and we were thrilled that your driver and guide decided to grab a nice tour bus to take us around. Great questions and answered abound on our tour and we certainly would Recomend Queen City Rides without any hesitation. We might even do it again with some friends next time we come back.
J F: Ernesto was GREAT!!!!
Susan Grimm: 7 family members including out of town guests. We all enjoyed it. Pleasant, fun and informative!!!
Eugene Rucker: The tour of the city of Charlotte was a great experience. The lady who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable of the city. My wife and I truly enjoyed the tour.
Liz Buchman: Alli is delightful and very knowledgeable. We all learned a lot and had a great time!!!
Cindy Hatfield: I booked this for my family to kill time before their flight. They LOVED IT! So informative and loved learning about the city.
Sue Varrasi: We had a wonderful time on Queen’s City tours. This was our first visit to the city and Andrea was fabulous! She was very informative and really took the interest in explaining the city’s history. We would definitely recommend her and the tour to anyone.
Filip Slaets: The tour was a great experience. Seen everything we had to see and the guide was really into it and knew what he was talking about. Brilliant !
Hope Miller: David made the city come alive! In from Texas and now we have broadened our horizons with facts and fun.
Dave Monaghan: Came to Charlotte for a wedding and had an entire Saturday morning to kill. Booked a downtown tour for 90 minutes with Queen City Rides. David (at age 20) is one of the more knowledgeable guys I've ever seen on these kind of Citywide tours and I've done quite a few. We drove all over and got a flavor for the local history. In addition to learning a lot about Charlotte, think this would be a fun place to live. Ask for David if you are a history buff.
Jillene Myers: Ernesto is the best!!
Jessica Luttrell: Great experience..about 90 minutes! Had a chance to uptown(downtown) charlotte..city and historical sites. Tour guide was super cool and very knowledgeable..would recommend!
Pete: Brenda, it was a fantastic tour guideExtremely knowledgeable and friendly. We would highly recommend anyone who takes the Electric tour ask for Brenda.😄
Jai M: Brenda was so much fun! She was very knowledgeable . We had a great time. Charlotte is a beautiful city!

Nick Donofrio: Disappointing that this is not the same Museum of The New South it once was. All exhibits are gone.Brought out of town guests here. Only to find there were just a few canvases on climate change.Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry Free …More
Nathan Lantz: The 'museum' in May 2023 is mostly just a temporary exhibit on 'climate change' and its effects on the South and different populations therein. There are no artifacts or items of interest. The museum staff were very friendly and even checked our bags for us, but unfortunately I wouldn't recommend seeing this until they have the bulk of the museum back.
Jordan Makbu: This museum effectively closed, but had the name live on in a small exhibition space. If you're like me and come here looking for the museum described in these reviews and in the photos, it's not here. The staff at the new place are nice, but it's really not worth the visit.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Free entry Yes …More

Max Dawson: Haven't been to the new location yet. The old location was great though. I enjoyed knowing the history of Charlotte and the region in general. From farm lands to skyscrapers and home of banks and fortune 500 companies. Charlotte has grown alot.
L Blancas: Low on history high on woke agenda of climate change and minority opression.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure Price for adult entry Free …More

Laboo: Have been to the Levine before the move, and it was a wonderful experience. Interactive displays, beautiful panoramas, it brought the true south experience to you. What I saw today was disappointing. One room with photos/display fell short of the impact the Old Levine Museum left you with. Sorry, no photos.

Lake Kubilius: A very small, free museum that highlights significant people from the history of the area. Worth a quick stop. Can easily explore the entire exhibition thoroughly in 15 minutes.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry Free …More
Keith West: 1st visit to the new location. This location is not as big but is conveniently located near the Harvey B Gantt Center and other local museums. The Men of Change exhibit was amazing and very informative. The exhibit exceeded my expectations, it highlighted many historical and current "Men of Change".Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No ...More
